Sol looked around somewhat worriedly as Chase mentioned taking notes. He might be able to remember it all but he didn't want to test his memory that badly. He leaned over and whispered to a student he hadn't seen before, a dark haired kid with a cross necklace(Charles). "Hey got an extra pencil and paper for me buddy?" he said somewhat ashamedly. He would've brought his stuff but he didn't know where that doctor guy had put it and he had been to eager to get to class because he didn't want to miss anything of what Chase had to say.

Charles would look to Sol "Hu.. uh ya sure" he would whisper back then reach into his bag and scramble for a second before pulling out some sheets of paper and a pencil, and hands it to sol "here you go" he says with a slight smile. then looks to the teacher wondering what else this class will entail... he has a feeling his magic is getting bit rusty, because of his promise, which mainly was because a lot of people seen it as dangerous with some of the things he could call forth.

Chase nodded, satisfied that they were paying attention. She frowned upon noticing Joseph's reaction . . . that would need to be addressed later. "Okay, so back to the lesson. In the basics, magic is defined as the ability to manipulate energy to impress your will on this world and create a reality that you desire. This isn't wrong, however it's only the surface of what magic is. The core of magic centers on three theorems: The Four Aeons, The Emerald Tablet, and The Akashic Records or otherwise none as the root."

Sol grinned back and nodded his thanks as he quickly jotted down what was already said in his nearly indecipherable shorthand. He looked up at Chase as she continued to the next part of the lesson. He knew about The Four Aeons, but he had no idea what the other two were. Sol would've asked but no doubt she planned on explaining all of them in good time.

James wrote down all this quickly, writing it down word-for-word, before speaking up. "Isn't there also a fourth, ancient theorem based around the use of Time Magic that they gave up on because Chronomages haven't existed for hundreds of years?" Joseph gave James a stern look when he made that comment, because the information about Chronomages was not supposed to be accessible by the public.

Chase nodded. "A very good point you bring up there, James. It's been heavily argued for years whether Time belongs in its own category, or whether it falls under the Akashic records. Personally, neither. To explain, the Akashic records is the sum equivalent of all the knowledge of reality itself - so it's reasonably well to assume that the secret to time is there. The Aeon of Creation and Destruction can actually affect the concept of Time itself, although it's limited to the knowledge you possess. You see where I am going with this now do you? A combination of both is Akasha and an Aeon will give you great control over the concept of time." The golden witch shrugged. "Still, there may indeed be a branch dedicated solely to time, but as you said, Chronomages haven't existed for years. Where do you kids think it belongs?"

James simply looked down, as if there's something he wanted to say but shouldn't. Joseph was also acting kind of suspicious, acting a bit TOO casual, just leaning back against the board.

Sol thought carefully over this question then spoke out as the idea formed in his head, "Well," he said slowly, "It seems that Time would be different from the Akashic records, but Time Magic would also be useless without the Akashic records. IF you don't understand reality then how are you going to understand what happens when you start changing it. Although I guess." he continued talking as the idea's came into his head, "You could still slow down time and possibly speed it up, but time traveling would defiantly require the Akashic records." he finished proud of what he thought to be a rather through understanding of the concept.

Mithrail sighed to herself. Sitting through this boring lesson about history made her want to sleep. She wondered if there were other more interesting lessons to take than this.

Charles would look at each person who speaks, and wondering what exactly they are talking about, for he didn't know really much of any of this stuff, he always thought somewhat differently, then again his magic is bit different from the usual, so it's made him think somewhat different.

"Excuse me, what are the Akashic Records?" Ryan questioned. He had never heard of something like this.

Cruz took all the notes he needed and kept paying attention at the class. He seemed interested on the subject.

Slick sat on the school roof watching birds migrate over the sky. "We have set up a family here, yet I still feel empty, as if I'm out of the loop. As if I have no friends."

Slick hit the switch, upon the back of his laptop. His body began to glow green, as did everything around him. He began to absorb the life force from all the plants and trees on the island, as his bombs under the school gained the life force. The green glow was the last thing Slick saw, since he was thrust into a new dimension, for the blast that just destroyed the island, had taken up more energy than thought possible. In this new dimension Slick couldn't feel anything, the flow of time, feel emotion, he wasn't even conscious. This was just him in a black void. On the other side the bombs set off, destroying most of the artificial and real land, however it harmed no human/humanoid. Everyone on the island, had the ground disappear below their feet, and plummeted to the sea. It wasn't long before the rescue teams came, but no one ever found Slick. After two years they began to rebuild, it was a long and arduous process but it had to be done, they had reputation to uphold - one that Slick shattered in a single flip of a switch.
