Wishing for your son's quick recovery, Rosalind. As of the preparation, Lord Pie, I don't think a couple of posts will do, or any "skipping" forward either. We should take our time to establish our community of Helsingborg in great detail, since it comprises a paramount part of the story, rather than rush the pleasure out of it. This, after all, is the advanced roleplaying section.

Works for me - been some time since I've tread these advanced grounds, so will keep that in mind. (I'm more than happy to be called out on anything and would appriciate any feedback if I do fall below standard or anything like that )

Thanks guys, it is only teething but poor little thing is suffering. I shall start on an opener and set the scene of our village and the community for you all, but of course shall leave your own characters dwellings up to you. I can get carried away when doing an opener, but do not let the size of my post intimidate or make anyone run for the hills. Should have an IC within a few hours. Now a question for you all. I personally do not mind people controlling my character for the posts sake, because a post of someone blabbing on whilst their character only asks one question is dull. So please say if you are all right with others controlling your characters for interaction or posts sake? Of course, the characters must be kept true to the writers description, and no killing a character, and checking with the other writer first.

Yes, we may need to take control of other players' characters, but let's keep that to a minimum, by which I mean that it's fine to take control of someone else's character often, but never over important matters. Posting a likely answer of theirs at some trivial question, however, or describing a bit of their fighting, won't end the world.

That saying 'it never rains but it pours' ARGH! Sorry for the delay, little man has been so poorly this weekend and we've had hospital trips etc. However, I have started the post. So it is coming!

Stupid question, do I request the permission to be allowed to play shield maiden? Or do I just make a character sheet and post it up and begin roleplaying

I'd assume write up a character and post it, await approval and then start RPing. I don't believe any specific permission is required to make a shieldmaiden character.

Looks good to me and I can't see any problems there at all, but you'll just need to wait for Rosalind to confirm I'm just working on my post nowww!
