I'd likely play a full orc or human, maybe even an elf, if no one else is (fat chance of that happening though ^_^)

I've actually never seen anything about them being a blend of two species. Everything I saw about Elans is that they're normal people who underwent a ritual performed by other Elan to transform them into one, with nothing said that it's a mash together of two races.

It was in my friends D&D book, he told me about them. They get no racial benefits because they get all negative and positive effects from the two races and -1 Charisma for being Elan

That sure as hell ain't from any edition of D&D I've ever played. They had racial stats of their own in 3.0, 3.5 and Pathfinder.

Well, i can still figure out how to incorperate an orc on the administrative level, and let his daughter serve as his grassroots spokesperson.

They have certain abilities, influenced by their Psion nature. They can spend a power point and not eat for a day for example. There are different models of Elans apparently. I can probably find the place I read it in, but there is the one you speak of too.

This is the version I'm currently the most familiar with.

I think Power points are from 4th edition? I don't recall exactly. It's a moot point as this game would have exactly 0 statistics/numbers.

I know that they had power points at least as early as 3.0.

OOC is up. Ignore the one I accidentally posted in casual interest checks. :)
