@lugubrious

Hey, I know it's kind of late, but is it okay if I make another character? I'm thinking of a salamander Parili that lives in an old hideaway in the sewers. He would be a victim of Disparitis and self-experimentation. It wouldn't be too difficult to implement him into the story; he would just be moving around in the sewer and encounter the team sent there. Thoughts?

Also RIP mayor May 7, 2015- May 12, 2015

Sure thing.

Hi.

Not sure if you're still accepting characters, but I've been creeping this thread for the past little while and figured I may as well drop in with a wee CS anyway...

Always flattered to have a stalker. Your sheet is quite acceptable. Do you have any plans on how you might want to involve Urien in the story?

Sweeeeet... I'll throw Uri up onto the Character List. As for how to logically get him out into the IC; Not gonna lie, I'm a little stumped, though I can think of a few good possibilities off the top of my head.

-As a last-minute addition briefed seperately for fear he might see the Snow Elf and walk out.

-As a hired gun brought on board by the surface team to even out the numbers.

-Or as an unmentioned survivor of the first expedition, or someone privately hired to find their corpses.

Of course I'm just spitballing here and am always open to suggestion.

Hm...which team do you want your character to be on? The above-ground team, or the subterranean team?

Well, all things considered, it'd probably be better for Urien to go with the above-ground team seeing as how they're fewer in number and as far as I can tell, don't really have a tank with them.

So let's go with that.

Edit: Also updated Uri's appearance, now that I'm not completely sleep-deprived.

Why is errone either terribly interested with Marianne or terribly scared of her?

I suck at building characters, ask Lugu. Lugu knows.

Well in all fairness, Urien spent a good chunk of his life trying not to get killed by Snow Elves in Tourmaline, and another other good chunk of it killing them right back; If there's anyone that has a reason not to like Marianne right off the bat, it's probably him. That said, it could make for some interesting back and forth banter between him and Ricard- The smartass gunman with a chip on his shoulder and no love for elves and the gruff warrior wolf that scorns everything that isn't Elvish.

Laughs'd be had all around if they don't kill eachother.

What do you say that we meet up with Urien in the slum we're about to enter, then? We can say that he had grown concern about the recent occurrences in Ebb and decided to check into the matter himself, having unluckily not become aware of the mayor's printed help-wanted advert. He seems like a fairly smart guy, so it's not unreasonable to think that he'd find his way down here, following the advice of the locals as to where the central plumbing system lay.

Lol, I'm looking through Urien's CS right now and I'm loving his weaponry and 'spells'.

Er, if the Delacroixes are part of the sewer team, they'll be pursuing Aron, Ash, and Riad into the tunnel, rather than up the ladders toward the slum, which is where the above-ground team is headed.

@Lugubrious - So, tunnels = no dwarves, ladder/above ground = dwarves?

@Lugubrious - Alright, finished my edits. The outcome is a bit different now. Chalk up what was read before as 'cut dialogue' xDD

The new character is done! If he's approved he's going to start creepily stalking the newcomers.

As a side note, after tomorrow, I don't think I'll be posting much until Monday afternoon.

While I've opted for a general plan of action for this most recent post, I would like to know how you intend to handle exploration like this in the future. Should we just state where we're going, what we're doing, and leave any findings and encounters up to you? Or should we instead craft the scenarios for ourselves. Perhaps it'll just be an uneventful trip down a hallway, but maybe Edwin will round a corner and an amorphous blob will rise from the water with a sickening squelch, forming into a human shape as it drags itself towards him. Although it seems like blob people prefer snatching the legs of those who walk to close to the water these days.

I was thinking about this myself. With typical parties it's easy because everyone's together, but if people continually splinter off...I think I'll go with that first option. I'll describe the situations that the players face.
