@ClocktowerEchos Depends on you. I mean, is the body standard issue or something Alice created?

The story behind it is that Alice got it first thing after she gained awareness via black market dealers after hacking some civilian bank accounts. While its not uncommon for AIs to have psychical bodies, they tend to stick out very obviously since they are just like white military robots with some upgrades that allow for AIs to control them. Think of a LOKI mech from Mass Effect and that is what "standard issue" looks like.

Alice's body was made much more realistically to the point that it looks human and you can't tell otherwise unless you actually scan her to find out that its fake. For the most part its kept in the AI room in a closet so no one knows what it looks like. (Alice had it mixed with some other engineering crap to get it on the ship before take control and hiding it in said closet)

Of course this entire idea depends if the GM is willing to allow it.

@ClocktowerEchosThis is fine, just note that it would be a one-of-a-kind scenario. Also, one thing I wanted to specify: Marine and ship weaponry is still ballistic-based, so things like laser rifles or particle cannons are a no-go.

@FPR
I don't want to dictate your actions of course and if you like I can edit accordingly. Alternatively you and crow can continue your to and just have that post occur chronologically later :)

@Lord CoakeWould Alice be able to do anything on her own without captain's orders or is she just more or less stuck wiht giving heads up to ground troops and sending back up based on Sterling's judgement?

@ClocktowerEchosIt all depends on what she attempts to do. He expects her to assist in the ship-to-ship combat some, but not for her to take over 100% of the way.

@ClocktowerEchos Well, unless you want to go back and edit it out, you already told Steve about it.

It could be a slip of her digital tongue which will cause Steven too look for it later on. I can still edit that part out if you want though

No real clue, I figure he'll just tell me to get rid of it if I'm in the wrong, and I'll oblige him. This way he doesn't have to coast through posts on posts on posts, so I figure it makes it easier for the GM.

@ClocktowerEchos This RP's closest comparison is Halo, but with tech right around the onset of the Human-Covenant War, with the exception that our ships have shielding.

@Warrior in the Shadows Accepted, expect a rank PM

Bit of lore for you on the M19A78 98MM Multi-Purpose Thermal Launcher.

Basically, it's a mass produced weapon, and is therefore crude in construction but reliable and cheap to make. It basically serves, as its name implies, as a multi-purpose heat-seeking weapon capable of firing 98mm warheads.

Ammunition varies from armour piercing, high explosive, napalm and gas rounds.

It is handled the same way one would handle an RPG, with both hands wrapped around the pistol grip, and with the back barrel resting on one's shoulder.

It has an effective range of 1500 meters, has a thermal targeting display, and can be switched to manual mode to allow for the user to fire it without targeting assistance.

In short, Anan can take on tanks and planes with it, but it's by no means the best weapon for the job in either case, just the most reliable and common.

I hope that's cool with everyone, if not then I'll go with whatever you guys think would work better.

EDIT: Excuse the shabbyness of the picture, it's just to give you guys an idea :)

Two other questions:

1) What is the ship most like? A Paris-class frigate, an Autumn-Class Cruiser or a Halberd-Class Destroyer in terms of appearacne (sorry if I'm asking a dumb derpy question)

2) Can I assume the main weapon is still a MAC cannon-like gun?

@ClocktowerEchos The ship is closest to the Halberd-Class in terms of appearance, and the main cannon is very similar to a MAC Cannon.

If everyone's fine with me running both, I was going to make a Marine command character for the Convergence of Destiny's marines, just so you all aren't completely lost as to what you should react to on the ground

We could use a few squad leaders and a definite chain of command.
