Zephyr

Zephyr grinned at Nodah as he apologized. Already, he was used to the human's archaic means of expression, and it didn't occur to him to comment again. "No worries, I know all about your kind," He chuckled. "I spent the latter part of my life among you guys. It was a small town, but I met enough of you to figure you out." Seeing the hall fill up, he stood up and cracked his knuckles. Stretching, he turned to Nodah. "I suppose we'd better start warming up. What's your rank?"

He spotted a set of weights in the corner, exactly his type of work out, and started heading towards it. He assumed Nodah was of rank A, so guess he probably wouldn't follow. On the way to the weights, he caught sight of Desdemona playing catch with Daichi and rolled his eyes, but kept walking.

Mischa rose from his seat in the cafeteria shortly after Yayo's announcement and started for the combat class, purring lightly as he walked, he arrived after some of the other students who seemed to be grouped together doing something or other. Mischa glanced around the room and spotted an overlooking balcony area, which he strode over to and looked up at it. he crouched lightly and lept up to the balcony and perched himself on the railing with his feet hanging over the edge, overlooking the whole training hall.

Kuroda Daichi

Upon catching the ball, he was taken aback by the amount of force put into the throw. He had almost missed that flicker of a smile that appeared for a mere second. "So you can show emotion!" Daichi snickered, squinting his eyes while grinning widely at Desdemona. Standing idly with the weight, his fingers prodded at the crevices of the sphere before he opened his mouth to speak again. "Hey, what class are you?"

The Nocturne started tossing the ball back and forth between his gloved hands, occasionally spinning the weight on the tip of his index finger. When he assumed the demon was distracted enough, he tossed the ball up, turned swiftly on the balls of his feet, and connected the sole of his foot with the sphere in the form of a low hook kick. With that, the ball was projected toward the other party with great speed, making a soft whistling sound as it flew threw the air.

Rowan Delacroix

The hooded figure made its way through the thick forest. "Am I going the right way?" The vampire pondered to herself. The scenery appeared to be the same as when she first entered, never showing any change in her surroundings. Beams of light streamed through the trees and Rowan hunched forward, tugging the black fabric further down over her head. Rowan decided to make haste before the sunlight became too unbearable for a creature as sensitive as herself. She brushed her cloak out behind her and proceeded to venture towards to building. She took no time to stop and admire the beautiful nature- the exposure in broad daylight made the long journey far too tiring to slow down.

Rowan approached a clearing and the tall school building came into view. Relief filled her to the brim. "Finally." When she stepped into the opening, she placed a hand above her face to look up at the clear blue sky. She squinted at the roaring sun and quickly looked away.

When the school entrance came into view, she caught a glimpse of what appeared to be another female student slipping into the open gates. Rowan prepared to call out to her, but her voice was cut off by a violent crash followed by strong gusts of wind that whipped all around her, blowing her clothing and hair in a frenzy. Her hood was pushed down, and her face was now fully exposed. She reached to tuck her hair behind her ear and held her dress firmly until the current of wind died down. Rowan opened her eye to see what caused the sudden commotion and she was taken aback by the appearance of a wraith.

Her grey eyes widened at the sight. "What in Maker's name..." Before she could collect her thoughts, a web of dark energy burst from the still shade and a low hum flowed from its direction. The aura spread, and Rowan was left in shock- she wasn't prepared to fight. She picked up on what was expected of her and she turned on her heels and started running in the opposite direction of the enemy. A crack was heard and Rowan found herself suspended in the air by a dark limb. She hung upside-down as it gripped her leg painfully. Flustered, she racked her brain for any form of escape: she was too weak from the excess exposure of light to summon anything without a drawn diagram. The appendage hoisting her up pulsed and rammed the vampire into the ground with enough force to leave a crater in the dirt.

She remained motionless and seemingly lifeless. Convinced the job was done right, the shade released its grip and approached to girl for the finishing blow. One of its limbs formed a pointed tip and wisps of dark energy flowed around it. It coiled the lethal weapon back and prepared to thrust it straight through her chest when an invisible force deflected the attack. The enemy staggered backwards. Rowan's eyes snapped open and she rose to the heels of her feet without moving a muscle. Her hair rose behind her and a thin streak of white appeared across the thin black strands. Her lips moved quickly but no sound came out as she chanted an incantation.

As simple as it was, transparent hands sprouted from the ground and latched around the ankles of the shadow. It was frozen with fear and the vampire approached the specimen with slow strides. Once face to face with the enemy, her hand mercilessly tore through its center. "You're lucky you have no heart." It dissolved into ash before her.

Rowan swayed for a moment. She clutched her head to steady herself. "Congratulations Rowan Delacroix. You have successfully completed the final step for your acceptance into Rosewood. Performance Rank: C." The vampire pulled her hood back over her head and silently made her way into the building.

The interior was astonishing. Her focus was immediately shifted to the elf perched at the front desk, waiting for her arrival. "Hello, Rowan! Welcome to Rosewood- my name is Yayo Fiji and I will be your adviser during your stay here. May I have your rank, class, and electives chosen?" He spoke cheerfully. Rowan hesitated for a moment. Was it proper etiquette to remove your hood when you enter a building? She blushed at the thought and shook her head and clutched the sides of her hood tightly. "What's the matter?" Yayo looked at her with concern.

Rowan nodded and reached into her cloak. She pulled out a slip of paper and quietly slid it across the glass desk to the elf. "Ah, you wrote it out beforehand! Alright, I'll enter this information and give you your identification necklace." Yayo did just that and soon enough a rose gold necklace materialized and floated slowly into her hands. The pendant contained a thick golden cross with a ruby center that refracted the light in the room. Rowan stared in awe at its beauty and pulled down her hood to put it over her head. She brushed her hair out of the way and placed her fingers on the gleaming red center. "You will find your room info on the back. Be sure to keep that with you at all times- now you should get to class, you made it just in time!" He pointed over at the portal and saw her off with a smile. Rowan nodded and nervously stepped into the portal headed towards the Combat Training hall.

Leval Lamrue

Leval followed the warm up exercises for the C class students over in the front row. The misty shower from this morning seemed to have helped heal his injured shoulder from yesterday's excitement. He was nervous to see hear he woould be fighting real students to start with. It was going to be extremely difficult to practice combative techniques and keep up his illusion at the same time. He glanced around the room, many of the students that he had seen during breakfast were in the room already, mostly socializing but he saw the Nocturne that had been drained earlier playing catch with Desdemona showing a great amount of agility by kicking the ball in mid air. His jaw dropped somewhat. Leval wasn't totally without athletic skill, he was actual one of the fastest runners back home, but he was nowhere near as flexible or as strong as the majority of the people here. In addition, he had never been trained in any fighting technique or style. Simply put, in Combat training he was at a disadvantage when it came to straight combat. Leval smiled, 'Luckily, I don't ever intend to have a straight fight and I run fast.' Leval reviewed in his head the number of deceptions he had prepared for actual combat, many of them involved being support behind actual fighters... away from actual combat of course.

Leval's smile faded as he continued with the pre-combat exercises. The continued repetition of the exercises were beginning to take their toll, he could feel the burn of the lactic acid working their way through all of his muscles. Straining, he continued with two more sets and then took to stretching in order to make sure he had enough energy for what was to come next. As his muscles began to relax again, he noted a girl wearing a hooded cloak, currently down, enter the C class section of the room. Leval couldn't recall seeing her at breakfast and she looked like she was already quite tired. He approached her, his illusory form letting him walk easily through the students who readily moved out of his way. "Are you alright there?" He noted an ID necklace of a golden cross with a ruby inset in its center.

“So you can show emotion!” Daichi Jokes, “Haha.” Desdemona rolls her eyes. Maneuvering the weight between his hands, “Hey, what class are you?” the nocturne asks. “I’m a necromancer-” interrupted by the swiftly approaching ball that Daichi kicked. There was a loud sound made upon impact with Desdemona’s hands, “Not bad. Not bad.” she judges Daichi’s strength. Increasing her magical power, Desdemona’s right hand begins to glow dark colors. Throwing the ball slightly up, she strikes using the palm of her hand. A shockwave appeared on the area where the ball was hit.

The sphere travels rapidly at her target, "What’s yours?” Desdemona asks in return.

Kuroda Daichi

The Nocturne's ears perked up beneath his hat when he noticed to ominous glow forming around the demon's hand. His lips formed a smirk, exposing a fang in doing so. He shook out his wrists and rolled up the sleeves of his jacket once again. "Necromancer- nice." Kuroda hopped on his toes as if to warm up his body, ridiculing Desdemona in the process. The weight showed some changes in color as small threads of the dark energy waved along the surface of the ball, covering it in a thin layer of her power. Daichi kept his eyes trained closely on the sphere, determined to catch whatever was being thrown at him.

The ball was thrown up, and immediately was struck downwards at an angle with admirable force. Desdemona's palm collided with the energy-encased orb, bending the atmosphere around the source of impact for a split second before a ripple effect was left in its path. "What’s yours?” With that, the medicine ball made a beeline straight for Daichi's face. His mind was set on one-upping his new partner; the cat brought both of hands up in front of him and narrowed his angular eyes, their amber hue flashing with a bright cyan. A film of mist appeared between his palms as he turned them to face each other, reacting quickly enough to slow down the projectile. Daichi then pounced back from the patch of vapor he manifested, allowing the sphere to pass through and come to a screeching halt; he had snapped his fingers just in time to transform the screen of fog into a levitating sheet of ice.

Kuroda brushed off his coat and took his time walking back over to the floating ball. "Essentia." He exhaled hot breath onto his chilled gloves before brushing his fingers along the patch of ice to shatter it. The ball was frosted over, but his was just to his liking. He blinked and his eyes had reverted back to normal. "-But I'm sure you were able to figure that out by now." The cat purred under his breath, tossing the ball high up into the air. By doing so, he gave himself enough time to somersault into the air, rebound off the ground with his hands, and swing one of his legs to swat the ball with more velocity.

Nuna Mori

Arriving in the spacious room of the training hall, she saw the familiar faces of the people she greeted in the cafeteria. Everyone was in their appropriate sections preparing for class. She scanned the room, noticing the abundance of people who were ranked A. She leered at those people as if they were acting elitist. I would have been ranked A myself if I hadn't been caught off guard by that enemy. As the heel of her ankle boot hit the ground, her eyes had met the scene of the Nocturne and Demon playing with a ball. She was disappointed to see Desdemona, but the long search for the boy could be terminated. When did he depart from the infirmary, wondering as her hand covered her chin in a ponderous thought? She hollered, "Hey, Cat-Man." At the same time, he began to kick the ball back to Desdemona but turned to face the beckoning. It seemed he had more exerted force into the ball than expected, sending it zooming in her direction. Enticed by the situation, she hoped the ball hit the demon square in the face, as she had redirected the attention of the Nocturne back to herself.

Starting into a slight jog, she stopped before the Nocturne at a respectable distance. "Hi... Nuna. The chick that knocked you out... Forgive me for what happened earlier, I'm still having trouble controlling these powers. I couldn't resist the urge to drain your energy. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me, so we don't start a friendship off sketchy. But before you accept anything I would like to offer you back your energy. Please."

Rowan Delacroix

Rowan found herself clinging to the walls of the portal for dear life. "T-That was terrifying..." She trembled underneath her black cloak. Her hands clasped tightly against the ribbed silk while she glided carefully along the shiny marble floors of the training hall. The prominent white strands of hair eventually faded back to their original tone when she calmed herself down. "It will take some getting used to, indeed." Rowan parted her lips to exhale softly. While she was lost in thought, her eyes trailed down once more to the trinket adorned around her neck- she was taken by the beauty of the jewelry. She winced a bit as she felt her body ache from the battle prior. The vampire was soon torn from her own little world when a voice many octaves lower than her own called out to her.

"Are you alright there?"

Rowan froze mid-step and raised her eyes only slightly to see the shoes of the creature who spoke. Intrigued, her eyes fluttered upwards even more to meet the gaze of a brute who towered over her. She wrinkled her eyebrows and slowly took a step back, clearly frightened by the other's grizzly appearance- multiple spikes were protruding from the chiseled body that trumped her height many times over. The vampire pressed her lips together tightly and scanned around the area for another potential target. When she realized that everybody else had long since cleared the area, the creature was most definitely speaking to her- she pointed a finger at herself and mouthed the word "Me?" just to confirm. A brief moment passed and she ushered a quick nod in the direction of the concerned being. In one swift motion, Rowan pulled her hood over her head again, shielding her face from any other onlookers and proceeding to walk past him.

The girl he had approached looked up, and even further up at his illusion. Though she was actually near eye level to himself, she had little way of telling that. As she looked at him, her brow wrinkled and she took a step back, obviously frightened. "Me?" She whispered so softly that Leval couldn't hear any sounds and had to depend on her lips to understand what she had said.

"Yes, you seem exhausted." Leval touched the tuft of hair at his forehead worriedly. She gave a brief nod, pulled her hood up and moved away, not exactly running, but not exactly walking either. Leval raised his hand as if to say something, but lowered his arm instead and let her go without further comment. Guiltily, he thought 'Maybe I am too intimidating for being out of combat.' His roommates and event this morning had put him on edge, but several of the students seemed nice enough. Leval resumed stretching, considering the girl's reaction.

Rowan Delacroix

Rowan's pace slowed down from a speed walk to a light stop. She stood by one of the windows and stared down at the ground. "Should I have said something?" The vampire clenched her teeth and bunched the sides of her dress tightly in her fists. Her shoulders started shaking as she beat herself up over her anti-social behavior. "What have I done? What should I have done?" She over-analyzed the circumstances. Rowan eventually took a deep breath to calm herself down. Having been born into a family of royalty, it was deemed necessary that she treat every single creature she came across with much respect. No matter how brief her greetings may be, anything is better than the way she dismissed the tall being. She inhaled through her nose and held it there for a few seconds. "I must mend the situation. I shall go apologize..." Once the one-sided conversation came to an end she let the breath go. Confidence quite apparent, Rowan kept her head low and made her way back over to the daunting creature.

She hovered a small distance from the other. She watched him perform the stretches for a short while but unsure of how to initiate any form of communication. Finally she took action and cleared her throat almost inaudibly. Whether or not it actually worked, the vampire continued on with a faint, shaky voice. "...pardon my behavior. I am grateful for your concern, mister." When she was sure she had grabbed his attention, Rowan lowered herself into a curtsy. "I am Rowan Delacroix." The girl could already feel her shyness catching up to her, as this is the most she has spoken to another in ages. She kept her head bowed and was braced for the worst, ready to run away if need be.

Watching the display of his elemental powers, Desdemona could tell Daichi was an essentia before he even said it. Using his acrobatic abilities, he hit the ball back to Desdemona with one of his legs, “Trying to show off huh?” Desdemona smirks ready to show a higher extent of her strength.

Heels are heard nearby, shifting Desdemona’s attention from the ball to the one making the noise. It was Nuna, “I’m getting really tired of her…”Desdemona tried her best to stay calm. Realizing the ball was heading her way, she caught it with her eyes still fixated on Nuna. “Hi... Please.” Nuna apologizes to Daichi for the dining hall incident. “I wonder what would happen if I threw this at her face with full force?” Desdemona couldn’t help but smile thinking of the violent outcomes.

Kuroda Daichi

"Hey, Cat Man."

As Daichi stood up from his flashy performance, the clicking of high-heeled boots echoed over the steady chatter that filled the hall. The Nocturne turned his head towards the noise only to make eye contact with a creature he wasn't particularly fond of. His expression chilled immediately, his ears standing on end in preparation for whatever Nuna had in store. The expression he wore resembled one of a predator stalking its prey; fierce and ready to strike. "Keep your distance." Kuroda's eyes flashed white in an intstant before they returned to their original tone.

The succubus maintained their respective distance and resumed her soliloquy with sincerity; at least, that's what it sounded like to the over-trusting cat. However, he was not fully convinced that she was making such an offer to "mend their friendship-" she could have been aiming to lower his defenses again. "...But before you accept anything I would like to offer you back your energy. Please." What she said sounded genuine, of course. But to undo something as tedious as energy absorption seemed unfeasible to him. Besides, he had not the slightest idea about what methods this succubus would use for such a task. Familiarizing himself with one of these creatures was a big mistake on his part, and he had no intention on messing up twice on the first day. "-'s not possible. How could you give back something like that?" Daichi crossed his arms over his chest, observing the feminine creature closely for any hints of deception. "I'm not falling for your tricks again, Nuna." He stated his position firmly, drumming his fingers along his upper arm impatiently.

Nodah Listig

"Did you really? Well, then I shall consider you privy to the complexities of human nature, hence forth," Nodah said, learning of Zephyr's past contact with humans. "Rank A." He gave a nod of departure as Zephyr headed for the weights - not quite his idea of a good time - and strode towards the back. He glimpsed a balcony where another creature was sitting, but preferred to be on the ground. Nodah looked around, seeing students milling around. Daichi and Desdemona were exchanging words over a ball, and Nuna had come. He caught the strained threads of a conversation, and an apology. That is the wisest she has done yet, Nodah thought, striding on. Perhaps there is hope for her. Nodah lightly traced the handles of his knives hanging at belt-line under his shirt. But Daichi seemed hostile, wary. Dramatically and unnecessarily so, mayhaps, but who was Nodah to say? There was a girl who'd slipped in that he did not remember from breaking fast, and she was speaking with Level.

Nodah slid to a stop right below the edge of the balcony, and glanced up at the dangling feet. He leaned forward to get a better sight of the boy sitting on the balcony, and took in the pointed ears and flicking tail. Another feline Nocturne then. Would the girls flock to him as they did Daichi? Or was that sort of attraction beyond race? Nodah never knew. "You look in need of company," he said easily, folding his arms and looking around so as not to overtly crane his neck. "Nodah Listig. Who might you be?"

Leval Lamrue

A tiny sound interrupted Leval's thoughts. He glanced up at the ornate windows frowning. 'Did a bird get inside?' However, the windows seemed strong and almost certainly had some type of magical reinforcement that the places almost seemed to exude. The amount of wealth and power that had gone into the place was madness in his eyes. Having come from a small village, the sheer opulence of it made him extremely uncomfortable. The noise happened again and this time he turned around and saw the hooded girl he had spoken too just a short while ago. Her knuckles were white as she gripped her dress and she held her head low.

"...pardon my behavior. I am grateful for your concern, mister." She glanced up at him as if checking to see whether or not he was paying attention. Leval saw a flash of her grey eyes and flowing black hair. She loosened her fingers ever so slighty and gave him a rather royal looking curtsy. "I am Rowan Delacroix." As soon as the words were out of her mouth, her body tensed up as thought she were about sprint today at the slightest hint of a threat.

Leval raised his hands upward slowly trying to make sure nothing he did came off as a threat. "Give me just one moment." Leval mentally reached for his Weave and pulled the ends together. Slowly, the illusory figure began to shrink down, spikes retracting into his body. The illusion faded in such a way that rather than dispelling an illusion, it looked more like he had shrunken down. Much less intimidating in his true appearance, he delivered his best imitation of a royal bow. He stumbled slightly on the unfamiliar motion, but caught himself "I'm Leval Lamrue, and I am sorry if I frightened you. You just looked a lot like I did after I got past the entrance exam." He gave Rowan an uneasy smile.

Zephyr

Shrugging off his hoodie as he approached the weights, Zephyr wondered exactly what kind of clothing would be appropriate for combat training. The most preferred would be reinforced material, impervious to the lighter effects of magic, as he had seen a few merchants sell in his town. Judging by what he'd seen of the school so far, the clothes supplied for them probably fit the requirements for combat. He hung the hoodie on a nearby bar, fitting the dumbbell with the heaviest weights. He flexed his scaled arm which was stiff as it got sometimes before proceeding to lift. The repetitive act lulled Zephyr into a comfortable frame of mind, making him feel at peace as all he did was count.

After the first set of reps he sat up to see a small, hooded figure walk into the training hall, then approached by Leval. Zephyr frowned. The intimidating figure Leval cut threw him off. It didn't seem natural or convincing, and anyone with the need for that much deception was bad news. His appearance was completely at odds with that of his personality, which appeared to be that of the eagerly friendly geek. His appearance shifted as he watched, and Zephyr figured it out. It was an illusion. Well, of course He mentally face palmed, annoyed at how obvious the answer was. Putting the matter away, he went back down to begin the next set of reps. He was only halfway through when Yayo Fiji's voice was heard booming through the hall.
"I trust you have all warmed up sufficiently. If you haven't, do that next time. Assemble into your power rankings immediately. Rank C at the front, Rank B in the middle, and Rank A at the back or in the balconies. Once you have done so, the next instructions will be given. You have half a minute to get ready."

Yayo Fiji didn't make a threat, but Zephyr got the sense that he didn't need to. Stopping immediately, he grabbed his jacket, wrapped it around his waist, and headed to where those in Rank B were assembling. He hadn't even broken a sweat yet.

Mischa's ears perked when he heard a voice nearby "You look in need of company," He looked around behind him on the balcony to see no one before looking down off the balcony to see a Human just below "Nodah Listig. Who might you be?". "My name's Mischa" he said slipping off the railing to land with a soft thud on his feet next to Nodah. "So-" He was cut off by Yayo's announcement "I trust you have all warmed up sufficiently. If you haven't, do that next time. Assemble into your power rankings immediately. Rank C at the front, Rank B in the middle, and Rank A at the back or in the balconies. Once you have done so, the next instructions will be given. You have half a minute to get ready." "hmm...you one of the A rank students" Mischa asked, looking Nodah over as his tail slowly swayed behind him and one of his ears pivoted around toward the rows as other students began heading toward their seats.

Rowan Delacroix

Rowan looked up at the creature through her lashes. "I didn't realize he was a human..." She watched curiously as the lumbering figure shrunk in size, withdrawing the protruding spikes into his body seamlessly. She gradually lifted her head up. Her anxiety had dwindled after recognizing how approachable Leval really was. She felt a bit more secure around him, so she locked her gray irises with his. Rowan felt a chuckle rise from the back of her throat when she watched Leval imitate a bow, which took her by surprise; she brought a fist to her mouth and coughed lightly instead. "-I am sorry if I frightened you. You just looked a lot like I did after I got past the entrance exam." The vampire tilted her head to the side. Her facial expression changed only slightly, as she was surprised at how accurate he was.

"You too?" she mumbled quickly. Rowan folded her hands over her chest and tightly clutched the golden adornment. "Everyone else went through the same ordeal?" She let out a sigh of relief and the corners of her lips formed a smile that could go unnoticed. Her thoughts were interrupted by the announcement that echoed through the massive hall. "The same elf from the front desk?" She looked from the ceiling back to the face of the human before her. Rowan aimed a more polite nod in his direction this time, closing her eyes when she dipped her head. She pushed her cloak out behind her and it fluttered in a circle as she spun on her heels. Following the instructions, she made her way over to the row of seats that emerged from the floor and found a comfortable spot near the front.

Reas Grimorea

Reas rolled into the combat room and yawned, having stayed behind to help clean up a fight that had occurred outside in the hall he was a little tired and more than a little agitated because of the rowdy elfin students who initiated the fight with him. "I'm not short you're just too fucking tall" he mumbled under his breath as he heard the announcement from Mr. Yayo. Reas cursed under his breath at the fact that he was almost late to the class and sped over to the A rank area worried about not being able to warm up but then he remembered the students that were sent to the nurse and smiled thinking of them as his warm up. He had to jump up he stairs to reach the balconies but each jump carried him farther and higher thanks to his skates as well as landing him lightly and he leaned against the railing once he got there, almost itching to continue fighting.

Reas was glad to see that everyone from the cafeteria was in the same class though that could be bad also judging by what had happened. "I don't think we have to worry about that happening again though" Reas said to himself before pushing down on he railing and feeling the magic of the school pulse across the surface, most likely to proceed it from harm. Reas loved the innovation that had gone it this school and was practically falling in love with all the tech here. Reas started slipping away into one of his trances but snapped out of it quickly and stood back from the ledge occupying himself with a small bout of boxing for the rest of the time allowed. Each of his punches carried a heavy weight behind it as he threw it and he picked up speed trying to get in as many as he could.

Nuna Mori

Waiting diligently for his response, she could gauge how much energy she took by the weary, deliberate countenance exhibited from the boy. Before responding he crossed his arms and stated, "-'s not possible. How could you give back something like that? I'm not falling for your tricks again, Nuna." "Look, I know you don't trust me right now, but if you would jus-" She was cut off by Fiji's message and looked at the ceiling, as the booming voice echoed, as if she would see the mystical elf hovering above. When the announcement completed, Nuna turned back to the Nocturne. She was pressed for time now. "Just come here you fool. Enough explaining." She grappled the cat by the face and pressed her lips against his, in a kiss. Instead of sucking energy out of him through a dramatic inhale, she sent it into his mouth through exhaling. If close enough onlookers would see the flow of energy from hers into his. Moments of this process occurred until she broke loose of this grip, stepping back a few steps. Her imagination ran wild wondering if the boy had been replenished or if it wasn't sufficient. She didn't know his name. Nuna, staring at the boy, asked, "Umm, how do feel?" Continuing to glance in his direction, she anxiously waited for a response.
