This tidbit in your latest post somewhat bothered me. We are supposed to be the deathwatch, the best mankind has to offer when it comes to combating xenos. For an astartes in the deathwatch to have no experience whatsoever fighting tau (or any specific xenos race for that matter) strikes me as highly unusual. At the very least he would have picked up some theoretical knowledge about the tau somewhere along his induction into the deathwatch.

Practicle, no personal. He can learn about them all day ling, but that doesn't means he has any first hand experience. That being said, he's hunted down orks, eldar, and heretics most noticibly, with a small excursion against a tyrnanid force and brief run in with sylth, rakghoul, and strixis- but depending on the year this story takes place- Tau are not common knowledge. Senior members of the Deathwatch for sure, but the idea is Dominous is a recruit.

@Leolycan Does have a point here. There is a massive difference between reading about something, then actually have to do that thing or in this case kill that thing, and Tau are extremely adaptable. Besides, he may well be a new initiative into the Deathwatch.

I would say yes, the helm allows you to quite literally see inside a space marine through a use of what are basically X-rays. I see no reason why it would not have functions to allow gene-seed extraction.

I'd say a +10 to the test for each implement, plus it makes sense IC.
+20 overall.
