You are elite Battle Brothers of the Death Watch, the Chamber Militant of the Ordos Xenos. It is your role to seek out the worst foes that the Imperium may face, and eradicate them utterly. You were once normal Space Marines of your prespective chapters, though since drafted into the Death Watch for showing immense skill at arms, or titanic tacial knowledge.

Your first missions will be harsh, such is the life of the Death Watch, though further action may yet see events unfold...
Remember, even your most fervent of brothers may yet turn to heretical ways...

There shall be four character slots for this RP, as I am aiming for a somewhat smaller group of people, though more can be included if this gains any sort of popularity. More or less ALL of the Death Watch books are avaliable for use should you wish, and do feel free to use your own custom chapters. I would ask, as usual, for people to exercise some consideration towards their fellow RP'ers when it comes to classes and whatnot.

NOTE ABOUT CHARACTERS! - The folio text does not show up when linking it, just screenshot the "Combat Profile" and the "Astertes Profile"

I'll start on a character soon. Going to go for something like an assault marine or so.

It is better to die for the Emperor than Live for yourself.

It would be good to have you along, battle brother.

So, how lore-hugging are you. Because, Female Space Marines can be a thing.

I would prefer it if we stick to the more lingering tennets of the lore, and as such any attempts at female astartes would be... less than ideal. As long as you are okay with putting up with, likely, distrust from fellows then I do suppose it could be worked in somewhere.

Besides. In the meat grinders of war, the side with more soldiers tends to win. You will however, have to make a specialised chapter for this. As I would like to stay mostly in tune with the founding chapters and their successors being more true to lore.

I'd not mind distrust and resentment at all. And, I was thinking the 'chapter' could be for Soraritus that were heavily wounded in the line of battle, and so made into the 'False Astartes' so they can continute the fight in the Emperors name! They are less Female Astartes, more Pesudo-Astartes Soraritus.

Then that would be permitted. So long as you, as said, are open to the distrust that a shadowy "chapter" would entail.
That meaning, a slight malus to interaction to more...hardline, Imperial elements.

Everyone aside from other Soraritus distrust the Soraritus, because they are bat shit insane. So even Deathwatch would be distrustful and wary around those fanatical zealots. And hearing they have a 'chapter' as if the Ecclisiarchy is trying to gain even more power, and thus hinting at another age of Apostesy, and the reign of Goge Vandire, would make most go '50p, 20p'

Indeed. Sounds about right, anyway. Feel free to make a character at your lesiure using the character foilo on the first post (just screenshot the same pages that others have done, so combat profile and etc.)

I have no idea where you are getting those Character Sheets. I only have Rogue Trader and Black Crusade PDFs anyway. I could, make a Roll20 Deathwatch game to use their CS, but I don't have any Deathwatch pdfs so I wouldn't know how to roll up the stats.

There is a link on the interest check to all the Death Watch books, as gathered by myself with assistance from the Co-GM.

Actually. After much debate with my CO-GM I will say this. No female marines, but you may opt to be a sister of battle. (Or, y'know, a normal marine.)

@KabenSaal

seconded, I have been told this bit of lore is so utterly ancient and unexplored it might as well be considered non-canon.

A Sister of Battle is exactly what I was going to be making anyway. With bionics, rejuvenating surgeries and limited gene forging to repair the damage that she had sustained in battle. It was never a female Astartes to begin with. Just something that could be counted as one by the unaware masses of the Imperium, and some Orks.

An elite sister of battle is more at home in the retinue of an inquisitor rather than a deathwatch kill team though.

So. Making a sister of battle anyway... I will say that she will be missing on the biggest majority of all Astartes implants and training, as well. As such, she would for lack of a better term, be more or less a human with worse power armour.

I'm just trying to rangle it because I love Warhammer, but I am really awkward when playing guys.

well, then this is the perfect oppurtunity to explore a character of a more masculine persuasion. I'm serious, challanging yourself like this will see you grow as a roleplayer... ideally at least.
