Our merry band now has in total an enclave operative, a smart super mutant, a scavenger with gender ownership problems, a synthetic treasure hunter, a mad old hunter, a Brotherhood of Steel glorified scavenger, a knight, a ghoul brawler, the duo of a ghoul and a pre war antique on legs, a chem addict elderly doctor and finally an Enclave General Atomics product.

The fun we'll have, how excellent.

Also, it seems obvious now...the quest is to now hunt whatever this cooky old man is hunting. Possibly a side quest to go with it to drag some other people into the mix as well? Any idea on what it is you're actually hunting, @Orlan? And why besides the standard "It's being a dick" thing going on with it?

EDIT: Just gonna make it a new comment so people can see it since I don't think tags go through in an edit.

I do not know what is going to be hunted down, thought I could leave it up to everyone else. The big bad thing is really something to make locals respect him and say offer the odd discount or buy a drink for, the Carver's in it for the rewards, the opportunity to boast and the pride.

As long as the radiation sticks around, Steeple will do most any job.

Alright, well what about

Maybe someone was mutated by high levels of radiation and turned into a horrid monster that is terrorizing any travelers, but it only comes out at night. Last known supposed sighting was by a small roadside motel a few miles away? That'll allow for some goofy shit to happen, get to know each other, us having to track it down, etc. Maybe we have to find the source of the radiation to prevent other people from turning into things as well? Thoughts?

I quite like the idea. Maybe say it once owned the motel before the war? It'd explain the decent teeth... Well decent for an abomination. It'd have to be quite a deadly foe.

I feel like it'd be perfect for my guy to just wobble in, shoot the ghoul, down a bottle of whiskey and shrug..

Lol where are we planning on fighting a sea abomination? Not exactly an ideal enemy, nor a real exciting one since we can't exactly all fight against a sea creature. Even if we made it to Florida, we can't exactly go kill the biggest thing easily, it'd be nice to start small then work our way up. It could be a horde of my things led by an alpha or something else. But I feel like it should be on land, regardless.

I don't really mind, the motel monstrosity is a good idea.

There's also:

Should probably not do the ghoul thing, now that I think about it, because you mentioned sharing meat.

That bat/rat is a good idea, it looks like it could belong in Fallout, that rabbit is a bit... over the top.

How about just clear the sewers of ghouls? Probably a lot of valuable machinery down there and the towns folk would appreciate it. There could just be a really big scary ghoul Boss down there too.

Hope there's an automatic rifle in those sewers or Lewellyn's going to not be a big help, he might just have to lag behind and try not to hit anyone in a narrow tunnel system.

I'd be fine with anything, ghouls sounds fun and so does fighting a nocturnal bat/rat thing in a hotel or something. Orlan mentioned, in his IC post, that we'd be sharing meat so if he's not too hung up on the idea of hunting and splitting meat to eat...I'm game for ghouls.

What's more appetizing really? Two hundred year old human meat or bat/rat meat? Cannibalism for some or rodent?

Seems like the best bets are those bloated glowing ones if we're going for ghouls.

I'd say bat thing first, then when we get back New Hope can be like "Holy shit ghouls just moved into the nearby area and they've already killed five people" or something like that.

Or we just say "See ya!" and go to a new settlement that has the ghoul problem.
