Larek went to check on Castor with Nyx. The little dracon had fallen asleep. "Aww, isn't that cute!"

"Well, maybe we can get onto making of list of names for our kids" Orna replied, getting a piece of paper. "For males, we could use names that are simple or emphasize strength. And pretty ones for the females."

"So, what norms do you want to break, my love?" Veax wondered, somewhat confused.

Kosjurec gave her a smile. "Well, if you're feeling up to it tonight, we could..." he told her of the stuff he wanted to do in the nest. It was certainly not suited for the public's knowledge.

"... and don't worry about replacing the sheets. I know how crazy you can get in bed. That's one of the reasons I like you so much."

Nyx smiled, and nodded "it is, he is just so adorable" she resisted the want to pick him up, instead letting him sleep

Tran nodded, "alright. Do you have any in mind?" Tran was never good at naming things, but he would try

"Well not being able to own property for one" hermia said

There was, Sasha knew, something nice about being told you were liked. There was a difference between loving someone and liking them and to have both was just amazing.

She still blushed at kos's comment, "that sounds...good"

"Yeah. He won't be that way forever. Best to enjoy it while we can" Larek said.

Orna thought for a moment. "Well, for starters, we could name a son 'Janos' or something along those lines."

Veax looked Hermia in the eye. "As far as I am concerned, this land is your land as much as it is mine, no matter what the law says."

"Glad to hear it" Kos replied. "I'm just glad I can make you so happy when we do that sort of thing."

"Ah, but then we get to see how he grows, and be proud of him every day" Nyx said, already quite proud of him

Tran thought on that for a moment, "alright" he said thoughtfully, "what if we come up with names and none fit the child?"

"I know that" hermia said, having long known that that was how it was between them "I meant to be able to own my own restaurant"

"Well, I hope I make you happy as well" Sasha said

"True. And we will certainly have more children to cherish. We'll have plenty of time raising hatchlings, don't worry."

"Then we can come up with one later which does" Orna replied.

"Well, there is something we might be able to pull for that. I suppose females cannot own land, but you can own the business on the land" Veax replied. "If I was able to buy the land for you, that might work. And for what it is worth, I hate that damn law too."

"Oh, it does, but the male response to these sort of things is not as strong as the female. Let's just leave it at that" Kos said, chuckling.

A lot can change in a year and a half. And a lot can stay the same. Children grow, new ones are hatched. Life goes on.

Nyx sat writing a letter to her mother, the letter she was responding to was open in front of her, and she looked to it from time to time, smiling at the joy portrayed in the words. Her younger brother and sister seemed to get into nothing but trouble, not unlike Castor. And she was sure their other hatchling, when he or she hatched, hopefully soon, would be a bundle of energy as well.

She finished writing her letter, folding it up and stretching.

Tran came in early from working on the farm, more then happy to go back to the house to Orna and their child. He cleaned up before entering the house, listening to see where they were.

Sasha watched Aurilia, knowing that she could be there one minute, and gone the next. An energetic girl, Sasha knew she was no match for her right then, soon to lay their second egg. She sat down with Aurilia, intent on helping her with breakfast.

Hermia wrestled an apple she had yet to cut from the hands of their three month old son, "And just what do you think you'd do with it, hm?"She said with a small laugh

Larek played with Castor, holding the child in his arms. He had grown quite a bit already, and was starting to teethe. This was very much a double-edged sword.

"Ow! Son! Daddy's fingers aren't food!" he replied, laughing gently as he put the boy back down on the couch. Castor kicked his little arms and batted the cushion with his tail.

"Nyx? How's that letter going?"

Orna was busy feeding the little one, handing out one grape at a time. "Oh, hello my love. Sorry if I can't get up at the moment. Took me a while to get our little dragon to start eating and I don't want to risk it now."

Kos walked into the room and gave Sasha a kiss. "And how's my lovely little girl doing today?" He had hoped for a son as his firstborn, even if he didn't really say it. Still, a male would come along soon enough, and he loved Aurilia from the moment he first saw her.

Veax chuckled at the sight. "You're not ready for hard food, son. If you can understand me at all, that is. Need a hand, Hermy?"

"Good, just finished" nyx said cheerfully, folding the letter up to send later, smiling at them both, as she scooped Castor into her arms, "you just want to ease the pain, don't you little one?" She hugged their son, settling down contentedly on the couch.

"That's okay" Tran said, entering once he was clean, and smiling, watching as Orna fed their daughter. "Well, just the perfect image" he said, as he walked in, giving Orna a kiss, and feeding a grape to (I have no idea on the name)

"Cheeky, as always" Sasha said with amusement, as she tried to give aurilla some food, but the girl was wriggling about too much, holding up her hands to Kos and making happy noises

"Only stop stop him from trying to steal another Apple" hermia said with a small laugh, as she placed the apple as far away as possible from the child,

"Do we have anything for teething? Something for him to chew on, maybe?" Larek inquired.

Orna turned her head and returned the kiss to Tran, but had to quickly give her attention to the little one. "If you could get me some of that water, that would be be great, love. I think she's getting thirsty. Forgive me if I seem busy, but now I have two people to care for, and her needs come before either of ours. I know you wouldn't have it any other way."

Kos extended his finger to Aurilia, letting her grab it with her tiny little hands.

"Cheeky, eh? Be glad our girl doesn't know what that could mean." He gave her a smile. "But we'll give her a sibling soon enough."

Veax took the apple himself and put it on a higher shelf. "He's not getting it, don't worry."

"Hm. We might" Nyx said, thoughtful. "Something cool, but soft. That he won't simply swallow would do...but he has the right idea with chewing your fingers" she said with amusement, "rubbing his gums softly can help ease the pain, a bit. We could use a clean wash cloth, too, dampened with some cold water"

Tran was well aware of that, and he nodded, getting the water he put it within Orna's reach "you don't have to care for me, I want to care for you" he said "and our child"

Sasha quickly popped some food into Aurilia's mouth when she opened it wide. "That we will" she said with a smile, as Aurilia made a face but didn't seem too bothered by the food in her mouth.

Hermia smiled, "that's better. He does like to grab things" she said with amusement

Larek nodded. "Alright. If you could watch him for a second-" he got up and went to get a cloth a cup filled with cool water. Returning a moment later, he sat back down and dipped the end of the white cloth into the cup. Then, he put the cloth in Kastor's mouth, rubbing gently. The little dracon squirmed at first, but he complied within a minute. Larek used one hand to rub the gums while he held his son's mouth open with the other.

"I can see several teeth poking through. Does it look alright to you, Nyx?"

"Well, I'm glad to hear it, Tran. You do so much for me and Sybil already, though. I just don't want you to overdo it, my love." She took the water and carefully placed it at their child's snout. Sybil began lapping up the water with her tongue.

Kos couldn't help but to chuckle a bit at Aurilia's silly face, but he quickly stifled his laughter. "I hope that wasn't a sign of her catching onto our meaning. Heh. No, it's just the food. I hope she's enjoying it."

"Indeed. So, what else did you need me to do, Hermy?" Veax inquired.

Nyx studied Castor's mouth, and gave a nod "It looks okay, doesn't look like there's any sign of infection. It's just painful, when you think about it, its bits of bone poking through the gums, but once they're out, it will be better"

"I could never overdo it, when it comes to you and Sybil, or any other children we might have" tran said, "I want to help, and make things easier for you and them"

"she seems too, although its a fight sometimes to get the food in her mouth" Sasha said amused, carefully watching Aurilia, she once more stuck food in her mouth when she opened it "I think she thinks it's a game"

"You could feed him, before he tries to grab anything else" Hermia said

"Alright good to know." Larek gave Kastor a quick pat on the back. "We keep replacing our teeth for life, so even if he lost any, they'll just grow back eventually."

"Well in that case, could you get Sybil a napkin or something? She's splashing the water all over the place" Orna replied.

"Fighting already, eh? Guess she's got more of me in there than I though" Kos said with a smile. "Need some help?"

"Alright. I'll get some food" Veax said.

"Hopefully with less nibbling of the fingers" Nyx said with amusement, "My mother might have a better remedy for teething, but this seems to work for now"

"She's just playing" Tran said, as he went to retrieve a napkin, returning quite quickly

"Of course she does. They often say that our children have the best of us in them" Sasha said, "Maybe you could try a hand at it, see if she complies better for you"

Hermia quickly grabbed a bowl and spoon, passing it over, "Thanks" She like to try and balance everything, but she was happy Vaex wanted to help.

"Well, do you remember what she did to help with teething?" Larek inquired.

Orna wiped up the water. "Can't fault her for that, I suppose. She's awfully energetic. Maybe I should calm her down?"

"Alright. Let's see if I can't get my daughter to eat" Kos replied, putting some food onto a tiny spoon and gently holding it just in front of Aurelia's little snout.

Veax brought over some fruit and a porridge made from crushed grains. "Here we go. He likes this stuff, right?"

Nyx shook her head, "No, Being the youngest-well, not anymore, but still-I don't really remember the whole teething thing" she said

"How will you calm her down?" Tran asked, giving Sybil a smile,

(Aurelia ^.^)

Sasha watched as Aurelia tried to resist the food, before succumbing and gave a soft laugh as she took the food

Hermia nodded, gathering the fruit again to begin to cut, now that she wasn't occupied with their child, "He does, well, he eats it up happily enough"

"I suppose I would have known more had I paid attention. I'm not the oldest in my family, but I am the oldest of my mother's children." Kos was the son of Vaeri, another female who had been with his father Adykon before he had married Aerta.

"Maybe a rubdown?" Orna suggested. "Something for her back should keep her calm. Works for me, at least."

"No, dear, don't eat the spoon." Kos gently and slowly extracted her snout from the tiny utensil, only to have her clamp down on it again with her mouth. He removed her again, only to have her bite it again. It took him another three tries before he got it away from her.

"Yeah. I don't recall liking fruit all that much at his age, but I suppose it is better for him" Veax responded.

"I would have known more had I choosen to learn more of my mothers trade, but by then Railing had been taken, and I set sights on being an adventure, to find him" Nyx said, "I can add that as a question to my letter to my mother"

"i'm happy to play with her a bit, as I recall, Nyx enjoyed the mildest of play, and she was quite an energetic child. Railing, Hermia and I would figure out ways of playing with her and Sasha" Tran said, smiling at the memories

Sasha couldn't help the smile that came, as she watched the tug of war like act with the spoon, "She's adorable"

"It's good for him, and easy for him to eat" Hermia agreed, "careful, he likes to try and grab the spoon"

"I see. It's a good thing we got him out, in that case. How's he doing, if you know?" Larek asked Nyx.

"What sort of things can someone so young really play?" Orna wondered.

"Persistent, isn't she?" Kos noted. "But adorably so. If our daughter's this headstrong, our sons will be really obstinate."

Veax saw his son about to grab the spoon, but he moved it just out of reach. He squirmed and whined as he tried to get the spoon, but Veax simply handed him a couple of grapes, which quickly distracted the little dracon and instantly cheered him up.

"the last letter from Prudance say's they're doing okay. I think he's worried, about what sort of father he'll be" Nyx said

"Well, if they can grab, they can play. My mother adopted toy ideas from some of her human friends. Blocks are generally good-generally big enough that they can't fit them in their mouth. But, a lot of its what we can do. Puppets, and things. The colours and excitement and following them around can wear a child down" Tran said

Sasha smiled, and nodded, "Well, I'm sure she'll keep them in line. Hermia always did Tran and Railing. Of course perhaps theywere groveling for better food..."

Watching them, Hermia smiled. She brought over some plates, carefully to keep the food out of reach of little grabbing hands
