@Three Five He is supposed to be another clone. But if you have no objections with the "godmodding" I did, you can start RPing the clone in my post as Velker. But initially the clone was just a random one.

@Gat Izen Forgive my absence, i've gotta start off the year right. Anyways, if it fits in with the story, i'd say go with first person. However, third person is more commonly the preferred method for these large roleplays.

Maybe ion cannons? They did manage to take down a star destroyer so have a few more and maybe they could bring down a super star destroyer.

I would probably agree on a saboteur, as it is incredibly hard for any one thing to knock a star destroyer of that size out of the sky. Maybe he/she would destroy the engines whilst in hyperspace, sending the vessel careening into a planet, etc.

I'm not a science or lore junkie but I have a feeling that if someone blew the engines in hyperspace, we'd have much larger issues than landing on a planet (assuming we even do). I find it that there is a far greater chance of either people just getting sucked into hyperspace doing all sorts of fuckery to their bodies or the entire ship more or less exploding with almost no survivors as we'd all be in space and escape pods in hyperspace seems like a very bad idea.

Also, depending on the circumstances and factors, a SSD careening into a planet again has a high probably of killing just about everyone on board or just exploding outright especially if there was hyperspace engine damage.

Well if the engines failed surely the super star destroyer would gradually slow down until it crashed into something or it just stopped... If the inertial dampeners or whatever they're called fail then the characters are going to be in a very intimate relationship with the ship before the super star destroyer becomes a glorified jam jar.

The issue with EMPs is that the Empire certainly has countermeasures against them and not to mention there is no guarantee that the ship would french kiss the planet. Its more likely that it'd just precariously orbit around it until help arrived.

Also, I should have time to make an IC post in a day or two.

@Azkott Maybe the rebels have taken hold of an ancient artifact. A giant pyramid that can shoot a golden yellow laser with special properties. The only downside is that it has a short reach, still enough to take down our ship that just so happened to pass near it.

Or maybe the rebels could have taken over an interdictor and use it's gravity well as an ambush spot? It is something reasonably similar, just maybe add an ion cannon or two and maybe it could go down.

No, just no.

That is not in line with SW canon at all and anyone with a remote knowledge of the lore can tell you that too. The rebels didn't just find a notNecron Monolith in the middle of nowhere and manage to find out how to work the damn thing. This is just way to stupid and beyond any logic of the Star Wars universe.

@Azkott I implore you not to follow through on this concept.
