Jean woke up, and looked at Guren. "You suck at healing. This hurts like hell." He looked around, taking it in until his eyes settled on Ellie. "Were you worried about me?" He smirked, happy he was alive.

Guren shook his head. "Nothing I can't fix."

He said sarcastically, "Sorry, next time I'll be gentle when you nearly get your throat ripped out by a vampire."

Eleanor rolls her eyes as Jean awoke. She walks off with no word. She goes and stands outside the barracks "Why are they all so idiotic?" She looks to her hands "Am I that idiotic?...." She stands there wondering to herself

Aya had gotten a mission to scout for the upcoming war the Queen told her about. She had the ability of stealth which made her qualified. She bowed and left the City, finding a small barracks. She heard talking going on in there and she hid as someone came out. She froze as she recognized Eleanor. She hid silently, listening to her talk. She thanked whatever god or goddess was listening that especially her best friend was alive and well. She bit her lip so hard that blood trickled down her chin. She wanted to go and comfort Ellie and say to her that no, she wasn't idiotic. But she resisted. She closed her eyes and bowed her head. She inhaled quietly. She peeked out again.

"So, Lyn, if that was an attempt to make me hate vampires, it failed. Really badly."
"I'll change your mind eventually. That was just me being nice. But I guess it would make it harder for you to kill her." She chortled.
"Don't even joke about that sort of stuff, okay? Where are we headed now? I thought I was going to go back to the rest of them?"
"We've got some business to settle with my family; essentially, we're going to be freeing someone I know. And then killing him."
"Okay, who is this guy? And why should we kill anyone to do with the Hīragi family? Aren't they supposed to be on our side?" He fiddled with the interface on the demon weapon to find out how much longer this would take.
"Let's just say there's an animal that needs to be put down, okay?"

They came towards a laboratory-esque building that had stairs leading straight down.

"You owe me after this, okay?"
"Okay, I'll buy you a coffe- oh wait, I can't. Hah."

Eleanor stood there and sighed. She looked up to the sky and smiled "Aya, I miss you..." She seemed like she wanted to cry, but she was resisting. She looks back to the ground and wanders off a bit towards a nearby tree which she climbed and lied in "Why wasnt it me who died? It should of been me, that way I would have to suffer through every day!" She slams the back of her hand into the tree. She just stares off into the distance.

Aya felt tears in her eyes, her heart broken. She bit her lip so hard the smell of her own blood hit her nose. She had drunk the blood of the Queen so she wasn't feeling thirsty for blood anymore for now, so it wasn't taunting her for now. She couldn't take this anymore. "Pssst!" she hissed from where she was hiding. "Ellie?" She whispered. Aya was still recognizable thankfully, though her voice had matured and gotten a little lower from when they were kids. She peeked out, her eyes catching the light in the darkness, making them almost catlike.

Eleanor was falling asleep as she didnt sleep too much during the night. But then she heard something "Jean get lost" She stops for a moment to register that voice and could recognizing it. She turns around to look in the direction of the voice and she falls off the tree she was in slightly. As she stared at Aya, but didnt believe that it was actually Aya.

"Asuramaru, are you doing this to me?"
There is no reply. Eleanor rolls her eyes and tries to find a way to approach Aya. She seemed kind of suspicious of Aya "Are you here to haunt me? Yes I know I should of protected you, I regret listening to you" She cries slightly "But thats in the past, I need to learn to take a life now" She smiles slightly

Aya sighed. "Ellie...It really is me. I don't expect you to believe me. And I'm the one who told you to run, you nut." She smiled like she used to. She approached Ellie and poked her on the forehead like she used to. Then she hugged her tightly. "You've grown to be so beautiful, I'm glad I told you to run." She held her at arm's length with a wide smile. She heard a noise inside and her attention snapped over to the barracks. "No one will come out will they?" she whispered.

Eleanor didnt seem to believe Aya, but after a few minutes of Aya just doing things Aya used to do. Eleanor began to tear up and she hugs Aya. She smiles happily as she looks at Aya "And you are so pretty" She giggles before she notices the sound as well "Honestly I wouldnt put it past them to come looking for me..." She sighs before she noticed something "Wait.. How did yo-u..." She stops and backs away slowly "Was it your choice? Did you plan for that bloodbath?... Did you plan to make it seem like you died and to be reborn?" Eleanor seemed slightly less happy

Jean was tired of laying down, so he decided to go for a walk. "They're just minor injuries! I'll take my weapon, too! You can't refuse a simple walk, Guren. Please?"

Aya seemed taken aback. She said sadly. "You think I planned all that?" There were tears in her eyes. "No, Ellie. I planned nothing except our escape. Ferid must have tasted my intentions in my blood and thought he could stop all of us, keep us there like cattle." Her fists clenched so hard blood began to drip from her palms.

"Believe me, if I could have, I would have made it so all of us could be alive and well...all of us happy. But my stupidity got most of us killed. And now...Now no one is happy." The tears were falling in streams now as she tried not to sob. She gathered herself for a moment, her expression tortured as she looked away from her best friend. She composed herself despite the tears still falling.

"Not a day goes by that I haven't thought about that night. What I could have done differently to make sure all of us escaped. To make sure all of us were happy."

Guren shook his head. "No. Some of your wounds are deep and had to be stitched. You're not going anywhere until I say so." He crossed his arms, his expression firm.

Eleanor looked at Aya and smiled slightly "I just had to check... I believe you" She begins to cry a bit as she pulls you back in. "Life must be hard for you... Im surprised Ferid isnt constant monitoring you" She seemed to darken a bit "You arent the only one who is haunted by that day. I have difficulty sleeping at night knowing thats what I have to awaken from" She looks around and sighs "We should probably move, just in case someone does end up coming outside" She giggles.

Aya hugged her back tightly and she helped move them somewhere they wouldn't be disturbed. "Ellie...There's rumors of a war brewing in the vampire city," she said solemnly. "Against the Japanese Imperial Demon Army..." She said, "We can get the others and leave. We can get away from the war before it devastates everyone."

Eleanor goes with Aya to this somewhere and sighs "So the rumors going around the imperial army are semi true, they are saying the vampires are going to start a war and we need to defend ourselves. Also I doubt that everyone will be completely willing to trust you after what they have been through. And I doubt we would even be able to escape the war even if we tried" She smiles slightly "Though I am with you if we do end up trying to escape the war"

Aya said, "I don't blame them for not trusting me...I don't trust myself, even." At Ellie saying she was with her she smiled. "Thanks. But I can't stay. The Queen's suspicious of me as it is."

Eleanor rolls her eyes "Well that answers my theory" She giggles "You are scared you will become a complete vampire? After all this fighting against your urges and hoping for a cure" Eleanor smirks as she felt that was a logical answer to this "Am I right? or completely missing the mark?" She didnt seem to want Aya to leave her again

Aya said, "I'm scared of that, yes. But I'm also afraid I'll end up killing one of you. One of my family. I...I couldn't live with myself if any of you got hurt because of me...because of this monster I've become." Her voice was laced with self-hatred. She looked down and away from Ellie.

Eleanor looks to Aya and sighs "You arent going to kill someone from our family, I wont let you" She begins to tear up "I-i need you, and I am sure everyone else needs you" She giggles slightly "Most of us wanted to avenge you even..." She runs over to Aya and hugs her tight

Aya hugged her back tightly. "I've missed everyone... but I can't be far from the Queen for long...She's my only way of survival, Ellie."
