Here is a the basic rundown.
The world of Emelea is a place of magic and wonder. Home of fantastical beasts and mystical entities. Consisting of the five floating continents that all center around a magical, crystalline core. It a place where the mean to travel is by airships and great winged beasts. Where man and women wield magic trough the use of the very same ore that the worlds core is made of: Immortalis. At its current state, the world is currently enjoying a rather shaky peace. Alexia and Ispea, two great empires that have reached a truce among themselves and their allies after a war that threatened to rip the foundations of their very world apart. A war so violent, so destructive that now the fabric of the world is seemingly shattering bit by bit. Leviathans rise from their slumber, and the worlds creatures grow agitated and violent. Malevolent spirits and dark forces threaten to seep into the world and corrupt it from within. All of it feeding on the magic fallout from the so called Crystal War.
To combat this, the involved nations have come to an agreement. To lay aside their arms, to work together and to educate and train their next generation of magic wielders to be more responsible. To this end they created the Academia Crystalis. Erecting the academy on the very land where the last and most devestating took place. Now. Two generations later, our heroes have come from all across Emelea to be learn how to be Crystal Wielders in a world that grows increasingly hostile and threatening.
