You look around to see your Illithid brothers and sisters. The day progresses normal with many going about their daily routine. Then an alarm sounds. A wave of massive energy washes over the city. It isn't long before you realize your psionic abilities have been weakened tremendously. Screaming and roaring begin to heard. A gaze from the wall is all it takes to notice a hoards of undead by the thousands. With several Liches leading, you receive a psionic message in your head. The Elder brain tells out to run. As you and your kind flee, the undead charge into the city. Some of the more prominent Illithids stay back to give the others time to flee. You run, being seperate from your kind in the vast expanse of the underdark. Undead continue to chase you, as you grow weary from running, the undead move to strike but are cut down. A group of your fellow Illithids lift you. You are not alone, but you are lost. The undead continue to chase. Forced to continue fleeing, you find yourselves breaching the surface world. The undead stop chasing you, unable to leave the caves. They retreat. You try to speak with your brothers and sisters. The connection is weak, the psionic power that made you so devestating has depleted. A telepathic communication is all your group can do for now. You can not return to the underdark for the undead will certainly help you meet your end. He surface has better odds but your race is hated. The lush green grass and sunlight is almost alien to you. How will you and your fellow Illithids survive the surface?

So in this rp, you will be playing the perspective of an Illithid or Illithid variant. A squid like creature who is known for their mental power an intellect. Forced to flee from your home with a small band of your fellow Illithids, you must now survive on the surface, a place that is considered alien to Illithids.
