Also, to whomever asked the questions about the world before.

Yes, modern medicine exists. The year is our current 2017 (however technology has moved slightly beyond us. think clean energy and more efficient). Normal humans know about the whole ordeal.

Population is pretty even amongst humans, definitely more mages than vampires at this current point in time. Vamp Nobles will commonly be seen with whole teams of them... Younger ones might have one or two for a while. The mages that get to just live life unbound from any one particular vampire are required to donate blood to a blood bank on a regular basis... But are, in general, able to do what ever they'd like after they have had their training in the arcane skills. Can't let talent be completely wasted. ^.^

If I'm reading the history right, humans benefit from the treaty in the sense they're not enslaved/extinct. Because vampires were ready to destroy them before the Lycans entered as a common enemy for both.

Pretty much... But Vamps weren't about to starve for their sake, so they made a deal where humans can keep living and vampires can keep snacking. Everything else, more or less, happened because social norms dictate certain behaviors. You'd be surprised how much of the rules are more manipulation tactics than real law.

ALSO: updated some of the lore on vampires and mages if you wanted to take a look. Still have some more work to do with lore for the world, including fun little facts that I have no idea where to put them. XD

Please, continue asking your questions. They're fun for me and make great starting points to focus my thoughts. For now, what I've posted should be sufficient to get started.... Right?

I have to pop away for a just a smidge of time to finish something else up real fast. And then I will be right back to get to work on the first IC post for you guys. ^.^

Sounds like their defeats were due in part to their lack of experience with magic. Perhaps nonmagical humans would have fared better were they not leaning on the hope that magic would save them. War and threat of extinction tends to cause massive technological leaps, after all.

yeah but if like wakingliberty said " The mages that get to just live life unbound from any one particular vampire are required to donate blood to a blood bank on a regular basis" and they just don't, or even if they i dont know try to overthrow the vampire regime? has anyone tried before? we are establishing far more things for the vampires, but we should all know humans aren't abut to be second fiddle to any species.

Hm. I think that's part of the treaty. I just read through the lore - it seems to be possible for a mage to put in a complaint or request removal from a given vampire's "service", though difficult and uncommon.

Edit: But I would like to know what happens to mages who refuse to give blood in any way whatsoever.

Oh! I just thought of something for when you come back! For the elements that could be more adverse to vampires (Fire, perhaps light as well), is there some kind regulation upon the mages that show affinity for them? Are they even perceived as a threat at all, or are vampires so arrogant that they couldn't imagine any human daring to try and harm them? I just feel that especially in a space of so many people with so many different temperaments it might be something they at least keep an eye on.

yeah, very rare... And most complaints are ignored anyways soooo. (Vampires are assholes)

If you refuse to give blood willingly, the treaty does not protect you from death. You might mysteriously disappear.... Or not so mysteriously, they'll most likely be made an example of. Specifics on that to come later.

Ellion and I were discussing this earlier. I dunno how I want to handle this yet. My fried brain is incapable of coming up with anything that isn't total shit right now.... Might need to take a nap before I really get started. Ugh, I'm so tired. T.T
