Finally posted.

I had my post all written up last night. A post that started with Hana getting out of bed, praying, going for a run, showering and getting dressed... and then I hit the wrong button... closing the window and totally losing the whole damn thing.

So, what we have now is a lot less detailed and written quickly to get the character in the room with everyone else.

Now, I just gotta figure out whom she might be sitting near and/or next to at the table.

Looks like we'll hopefully be moving things along tomorrow :D. I hope everyone is having a great day! I won't be around much tonight because I'm running a Star Wars Edge of the Empire game this evening for my weekly group. I'll get on afterwards though, around 10 pm CST, if anyone will be here at around that time.

@ShieldsOfWarI wish I could find an RP group. Unfortunately, no one I know around here plays any tabletop RPs, and my internet isn't good enough for me to use Roll20 or something similar.

@TheUnknowable I live in a town of 2000 people so I was very fortunate to find people that were interested. My internet is awful as well but I get away with the occasional Skype game with my college friends and some English actors that we met awhile back. The Skype game is soooo much better in quality but there's something about the in person aspect of my Wednesday game that you just can't beat :D.

@Silver Carrotgotta find people to play it with. 20k people in town and I can't find one group that plays any tabletop RPs. I even asked at the video game stores, checked craigslist, and looked for groups online.

Edit: the only person I know that plays is my cousin, and he moved to another state after getting hired by Google. Bad internet means that's not an option any more.

I've never actually played a single tabletop game ever. I kinda got put off when I joined a forum rp like the kind we have here, but it was DnD inspired and based off those mechanics, and they expected me to know how to pick and use DnD roles effectively and called me an idiot when I made a mage and went off in front, in a dungeon. Set off a lot of traps, and got the brunt of enemy attack being a squishy low level mage who couldn't cast any good spells.

@Silver Carrot I'd honestly recommend D&D 5th Edition because it's so much more streamlined but has just as much depth and imagination. It takes away a lot of the unnecessary stat crunching and focuses on an Advantage/Disadvantage system to resolve most situational things that just makes it it quicker and easier to pick up. My group loves it :D.

Ready to do something. As far as if wise can not think of much else to do. Other then appear tired at 7am. After all my guy isn't to verbal with those not to familiar with yet.

I have a question for you guys. Do you all prefer the downtime where you get to interact with other characters and kind of create your own stories or more organized, linear "missions" and things like that? I like to do a mixture of both but by far I personally prefer the character moments and stuff like that. I'm just curious how you all feel about it xD.

An X-Men rp needs both of these in good balance. That's what separates them from high school rps or superhero rps.

I prefer the organized missions or what have you, but that's because I have OCD tendencies. But whichever is good, just as long as the game doesn't drag.

Also, I'm flying out tomorrow for a mini vacation and won't be back until Monday evening, so today is the last day I'll be able to make a post for 4 days.
