Beatrix gave a small laugh, it sounding forced even to her own ears. "Yes, she was an amazing tavern. Spent many years of my life there… the memories there, luckily, won’t be burned with it.” She finished with a small smile, grateful for the conversation no matter how sour the topic sat with her.

"But, enough worrying of the past. I’m a guest on your ship and I never had a chance to compliment her. She’s,” Dark eyes finally moved around the ship, sharp eyes taking in every nook and cranny that she could see. Turning back to the captain, she gave a well-natured smile. "She’s beautiful.”

She quickly grabbed a scrap piece of cloth and snapped her head towards the door."Everything's alright boys," she said calmly. Scrubbing her desk with the cloth, she asked "Are ya feelin' alright? Need any medicine?". Anastasia grabbed the ruined papers and she threw them into an empty crate separating the two beds that were in the corner of the room.

Marybeth had been with the children at the time of the fight. She had kept them hidden and safe as much as she could. She was currently looking over the rails at their hometown in flames. The screams of the dying and injured filling her ears. She was worried about her parents. She wiped her eyes and looked over at the children and walked over to them. She wanted more than anything to be with her family right now but the children of the king came first. She headed in to check on the cook. She needed to see that the children ate soon.

Standing in front of Jack in the hallway down the stairs and not realizing he was the cook Marybeth asked, "Do you know where I might find the cook?"

Blade sitting at the table was just sitting there now he took off one of his hidden blade guatlets and took it apart and cleaned the piece and put it back together and he looked at it and said," there we go its all good and clean. Seeing another sailor coming up behind the others she asked, "Sir? Where may I set up the Prince and Princess? I need to know what rooms they shall have?"@BobLeBoeuf

She was very aware that her job had changed and now she was not just the handmaiden but quite possibly the Nanny and escort to the children as well as the servant for the King. This was not a job she was going to relish.

Blade nodded and said," no problem." He got up and left as he went to the deck and leaned on the barricade bar and looked at sea he closed his eyes and breathed heavily and sighed he took out a small crystal pendant and looked at it.

“Nah, I'm good.” Arthur replied as he scratched the back of his head. “Just hungry.” Before he could say anything else, a girl appeared behind him. She asked for the cook but blade got first. “Aw, hell. I’d almost forgotten that we let you royals onto our ship… Look lady, I don’t give a damn about where you lot sleep. Just roll out a fuckin’ carpet on the floor or somethin’, okay?” Arthur had never been very fond of nobles and now they were closer than ever and he was determined to make sure they didn't feel welcomed.

Marybeth wasn't sure at what point her jaw hit the floor but the sailor's lack of manners was enough to undo her composure. "Excuse me sir but you appear to have the manners of a cretin. I'll not have you speaking to myself or the children that way. It is most improper!" @BobLeBoeuf

In her flurry of anger she fled up the stairs to find the captain. The unmitigated gall of that sailor! Her mind spun in circles at the crudity. She began to realize that the adrenaline rush of the fight and everything that happened afterwards was hitting her and she really just wanted to go home and sleep.

Trudging up to the captain of the ship she found him speaking with Beatrix the bar owner. Nodding to Beatrix she interrupted as politely as she could. "Excuse me please Beatrix and Captain. I need to know where to set up the children and when they will be fed and your crew seems less than amicable to help me. Please won't you help me?"

Giving a light smile, while internally punching herself for the blush she knew she had at the politeness (Being around a bunch of rowdy men most hours of the day would make manners a thing to relish.), she reached out her left hand and placed it in his. Managing to stand up on her own, she clasped her book to her chest. "I would be honored." She lightly teased, smile growing a bit.

However, the moment was interrupted by the arrival of a woman who held the air of a 'royal'. Even if not by title. Raising an eyebrow at the woman and giving a nod to her in understanding, Beatrix removed her hand from the captain's and turned her attention to the said captain to see what he'd do.

Both siblings were observing Marybeth. Tiffany was ready to interfere if something didn't go well and Alastair just hoped she would be alright. Even though they wouldn't admit it, they respected and adored the woman greatly. Alastair grabbed the broken snowglobe from his satchel and fiddled with it while avoiding the glass.

Arthur sighed and turned back to Anastasia. “I can barely understand any of the shit that comes outta her mouth…. Well, that’s royals for you.” He wasn’t surprised. He got the reaction he expected and the one he wanted. He then turned over to Jack. “So, about that grub? Are you goin’ to get on that? I’d be happy with anythin’ but I bet our "honored guests" would like something more exclusive...”

"There's a spare officer's cabin below the gun deck where they can stay, if they don't mind sharing a room." Captain Delaney replied. "I was just about to show Miss Le'Strange around the ship; perhaps you could come along, I'll show you on the way." He opened the door that lead to half of the cabins, with the rest across the gun deck. "Just mind the steps, ladies, they're a touch steep."

Marybeth nodded and agreed. "Thank you that would be so very kind of you." She looked over and called the children to follow the Captain. "If your royal highnesses would please follow the Captain we shall go to your room now." Realizing something somewhat important she looked at the captain. "Is this where the King is sleeping? Or is he in a separate room?"

Captain Delaney winced very slightly. He'd forgotten... the royal children. No matter, he had no intention to rescind his offer. "As far as I know, he's asleep in the infirmary right now. Once he's well he'll be sleeping in the crew's cabins just like the rest of the adults." He replied with maybe a tiny hint of malice. What was a king without a kingdom? A man, he thought to himself, just like any other.
