Decker: Filled

Adept: Filled
Street Samurai(muscle): Possibly filled

Face: Not filled

Actual required reading:

The Australian Outback, 2066 a land ravaged by magical storms and awakened creatures. While most cities remain (mostly) in tact, the country as a whole is quite a bit less than stable. Much of the already less than friendly local wildlife was made even less so when they awakened. Packs of Hell-dingos, massive wombats, and magically active Kangaroos just to name a few now roam the land.

In the more civilized areas, safety is still less than guaranteed as two massive corporations essentially dictate what goes on within the cities. The presences of Renraku Computer Systems, and Shiawase Atomics are impossible to deny everywhere you look. From the massive corporate skyscrapers, the dozens of subsidiary companies, and even the occasional missile silo, their logos are impossible to miss. That's not to say that other Megacorps don't have any pull in the outback, but none of them have such a strong foothold.

Now, rumors of some oddly armored strangers coming in and out of an abandoned silo in the less tame areas, intensifying storms, and even the possibility of a new dragon emerging has everyone in the shadows whispering.

You are a Shadowrunner, part of an elite team of deniable assets contracted by megacorporations and rich individuals to do jobs that nobody else can or will. Be you a human, elf, ork, dwarf, or even a troll, you don't exist as far as society knows. Lacking a SIN (System Identification Number) or any other form of identification, you stick to the underbelly of the world with only the people you run with to back you up. To keep yourself, and them, safe...Remember the rules: Watch your back, shoot straight, conserve your ammo, and NEVER cut a deal with a dragon.

Why is this an interest check if you already have most of the positions filled?

@Rebirth 'Cause we need those last three. Plus, I've never made an rp without making an IC first.

I'm interested. I know a little about Shadowrun, but its difficult to make a CS without knowing what the classes can do. And I wanted to ask how will combat look like? I don't remember Shadowrun being a dice heavy game but I am interested in how the mechanics are handled in a post based game.

@DizzyRenegade Well, we aren't going to be going by the traditional rules as this is going to be in casual instead of advanced. Think of it like you would most RPs on the guild. As for the archetypes I'll add that info later today.

@Heckno12 Hi there. I'm familiar with Shadowrun to a great extent. (Third, Fourth, and Fifth Edition, as well as having played alot of the video games.) It would please me to no end to be able to use the renewed and revamped version of my first RPG character ever created, whom I developed into an unusual Shark Shaman when he'd started out as just a minorly-cybered-up gunner-type. The only question I have is of the required reading. Is the above paragraphs the only part you meant, or did you mean sourcebook on the whole? If so, can you provide a link or a PDF? Is it okay that he is not an Aussie, but that he is originally from Seattle, like many a runner in the awakened world?

@FalloutJack So, rule wise, we're not touching the tabletop aspects. It's just a standard RP in the Shadowrun universe. Tbh, the games are all the actual experience I've got outside of some light reading. The above paragraph is all that's truly necessary, though the other bit further up might clear up some things for some people. It's totally fine for your char to not be an Aussie native, tbh I think most of our characters aren't aside from our mage and fixer.

A shaman profile of orkish proportions will see its way to you in the near future, then.

Ooooh, I love me some Shadowrun! While I've only skimmed the sourcebooks a little (mostly for lore), I have played the Harebrained Schemes games religiously.

I'd be very keen on filling the Face slot! I've always loved the Face since it can mesh so well with lots of other metatypes! I'd probably run a Face/Infiltrator in this case, sneaky sneaky talky talky. Some nice face reshaping skills + holowear would make for an interesting setup I'd think!
