Etor: Traveling on Salador was a dream come true. A dream that was actually harder to stay on then previously perceived and that let out the occasion fart accompanied with a moist plop on the ground behind it. None of that mattered to Etor. He was excited to be on Salador, brushing the beast's coat with his fingers and at the same time intently understanding Zarif's words. If one could see him one would think he was talking notes to be tested on how well he knew the members of the hellions. His father had always told him to enjoy the moments leading into battle as they are "the building blocks to victory", but his father was also ambushed and brutally murdered, so Etor learned to stay vigilant on his own.

Etor: "Thank you for the ride. I'll back you up! No problem."

Etor is always carrying his bronze longspear as he has no place to store it. He awkwardly motions a ready position to let Zarif know he's all set for whatever may come.

Etor is let down from Salador on 14-24, right behind Zarif.

Makeen: 'As per usual the planning was pointless.' Makeen thought to himself, but smirked regardless. Off the script actions like this is why he's stuck with this group for so long. With the great pile of stone getting closer Makeen switched out his knife for a pair of throwing knives. 'Who knows what might pop out of nowhere.'

Makeen moves six tiles to 6-27.

The man keeps moving, paying very little attention to what his companions say just in case something important happens. Once he passes the small gathering of trees he finds himself locking eyes with the blue-ish creatures. A fist bangs on his chest a couple times while his other hand twirls the axe in place, his attempt at catching their foes' attention.

Lyun moves six tiles to 16-31.

Iddin: "As we approach the foe, let our faith be found unwavering. I call upon protection further, and forevermore as I can hold to my rites. Let us proceed under protection. Know our foes are evil, and we aim to be pure. As a priest, I promise to grant my god gifts in gratitude for any small degree of empathy." Iddin continues to rhythmically chant as he follows Lyun closely, seeing the foes are still a bit further away.

Iddin moves six tiles to 13-32, passively triggering Inspiration.

YEEK PHASE

From every which way now that gibbering coalesces into a single entity as the blue devils begin to pour out from every nook and cranny amidst the ruins. They dance with spear, bow, and claw toward the arrivals of humans who scheme and dart from tree to tree with their own fangs of bronze and iron, to the humble Yeek, sacrifices to Zuug'Agblish, ironically unaware of the meaning of their own deity.

As the caribou horn bleats it's reverberating call, the shaman hops and skips up those block steps far too large for its diminutive stature and heaves its body against the crumbling doors of the complex. They grind slowly open, as yet more little blue figures squeak across the sandstone by their rubbery pad-feet.

One is even so bold as to raise their wooden spear by way of the mounted camel rider, a man with a sharp pointy stick of their own, one that gleams in the high morn' sun.

Ashür: The bandit watches his companions to the north engage the blue monsters at last, cruelly or perhaps dismally, picturing their demise only to be pleasantly surprised at their competence. . . As always. Regardless, he uses his band's ever present ability to cause a commotion to sweep around the side of one of the Yeeks' sand brick walls, poising himself to back up Lyun's undoubtedly devastating charge.

Ashür moves SIX tiles to 17-28, to back up Lyun.

Zarif made light work of the yeek and Etor understood that they were in the thick of it.
Etor:I'll cover you.

Etor puffs his chest and makes way for the lone warrior yeek. Not breaking eye contact, Etor shows the warrior all the respect warriors show each other when on the battlefield. While Etor shares Ashur's contempt for the Yeek, at the end of the day the victor is whose ever better on that day, and that's something to be respected.

Etor marches to 14-24 and attacks the Yeek warrior #3 to for 7 damage.

Lyun: "..." He rushes ahead much like his companions, a glance and a simple nod towards the incoming Ashür. Range wouldn't cut it for the time being, and having his more versatile axe at the ready looks like a better option.

He switches between the two with choppy movements while stomping ahead, eyes fixed on the nearby creatures. He knows their time has come, they know their time has come - or so he thinks, at least. It's just a matter of whether they'll be chased for or charge into.

Lyun moves six tiles to 19-28 and equips his Battle Axe.

Zarif readied his spear as the blue Yeek warrior charged forward at him, with an animistic rage. Perhaps they weren't as cunning as he had made them out to be after all. The merchant relaxed, he had done this plenty of times in his tour with the Hellions, from such a foe, he really didn't have anything to fear.

Suddenly, the foul creature was upon him, mere cubits away! Zarif, aghast, tried to bring his spear up in his own defense, but it was too late. His off hand felt his chest, wet and sticky with his own blood, the gnarled branch buried deep in his chest. It had all been so fast... there had to be some mistake.

Zarif:"N-no... How? To have traveled so far... only to die like this... dammit." He could feel himself sliding off Salador's back, falling slowly, as time itself had slowed until...

Zarif's eyes blinked open, he glanced around suddenly, confused. There was that foul creature again, still many paces away. He felt his chest, it was somehow intact. The merchant sighed and shook his head.

Zarif:"Must have dozed off again. What an unsettling daydream! Ah, what are the odds of something as far fetched as that anyway" The happy go lucky foreigner chuckled to himself, following the Yeek as it waddled forward, readying his spear. When it reached him, zarif was ready, and caved its skull in with two swift strikes. It's spear, a branch really, managed cut his Zarif's leg as it fell, but other than a little pain, the rider was mostly alright.

Zarif:"Better keep up the assult!" He told himself, the burning pain in his leg managing mostly to sharpen his scenes and wake him up a little. He strapped the spear to Salador's side as he kicked his companion lightly, and began to ride along the side of the wall, drawing his bow. After sending an arrow over the wall, he circles back, hoping to regroup with the rest of the company.

Zarif moves Seven tiles to 18-26, attacks Blue Yeek #1 with his short bow, and rides 3 tiles back to 15-26

Makeen: A small ruined village caught Makeen's eye. Diverting his approach slightly he scoped it out. Unfortunately, the place had been wiped clean of anything with value. His slight disappointment didn't last long as the sound of battle echoed from up ahead. Gripping his knives, Makeen continued his way to their objective.

Makeen moves six tiles to 10-25.

Iddin: "I call again upon my arts! Be blinded, hideous blue marks on Zuzu's realm! Be bolstered, companions against this plight! Incantation, last further still and stay stalwart as a ziggurat against the sand. Your time of release comes with my first breath of another enchantment." Iddin takes deep, anticipatory breaths as he follows his allies into the breach. No matter how many times he encountered battle, he couldn't be rid of the raging adrenaline in his veins.

Iddin moves six tiles to 16-29, passively triggering Inspiration.

YEEK PHASE

It wasn't long at all until the mad blue imps clash, their dry woods and strapped together paper armor of barks and the like against the metal of the sellswords. Just as quickly too they fall. Indeed before the monsters knew it, one of their finest warriors was felled by the rider, while another took a grievous wound by the similarly blue-haired spear-man. Despite the incoming, knowing destruction of their tribe, they were undaunted. Perhaps emboldened even.

This was only intensified by the low droning of the Yeek Ensi, if you could use such a word on the devils. Like a shabby mirror of Iddin-Ninshubar, the robed one chanted while holding aloft a jagged pillar of gray rock, clacking it rhythmically against any and all surfaces to remind its flock of the rigidity of their god.

Yeek Ensi #1 casts Word of Zuug'Agblish

Another hapless beast falls by the sting of two arrows, their crumbling walls doing little to offer them succor. And while the rest respond by congregating toward their shaman, the wounded warrior darts forth toward Etor, its attacker. With the last embers of its fetid strength, raises the pointed spear the boy's way and pierces naught but the dry air.
YEEK WARRIOR #3 attacks ETOR with its GNARLED SPEAR and misses.

Ashür: "The Divine Language. . ." Ashür murmurs, as the ethereal voice of the Yeek carries down their way past the ruins. He shudders at the thought, "How could such beasts learn to utter the words of the gods?" He questions, for the most part directed by way of Iddin and Kastilus, the rest of the group lacking the context by which to reply. Regardless, he moves up, blade in hand as Siris and Lyun ready the flanks.

Ashür moves SEVEN tiles to 22-26

The wounded yeek warrior advanced with reckless abandon and Etor made quick work of him. The young spearman let out a small sigh as he looked down on the disgusting creature.
Etor: He probably wanted to go out that way.

As the young warrior looked around him, he noticed two things. The rest of the hellions were quite some ways away and the robed Yeek was doing something peculiar. Etor didn't understand the words but he recognizes the impact it was having around the faux priest's immediate area. Etor thinks to himself "This cannot be allowed to continue."
Perhaps the previous victory had emboldened him, maybe it was reckless youth, or perhaps the mysticism that the Ensi was expelling called to Etor. Nevertheless, the young warrior ran towards robed yeek, determined to strike it down. When he noticed the priest was barely hanging on Etor came to a sobering conclusion. He was soon to be surrounded.
Etor: Damn.

Etor rushes to 21-21 and attacks the Yeek Ensi to for 7 damage.

Things start to get hectic and, as they close in on the structure, they are subtly but dangerously scattered, just enough for the Yeeks to possibly rush down a single target. The brute keeps running, turning at the last second and flanking Ashür on the right. His big frame obscures his ally just barely to the eyes of the two blue creatures a couple steps ahead.

Lyun: "Go. The... -eed support." A low voice, both in tone and volume, some of the words are easily swept away by the surrounding noise.

Lyun moves six tiles to 23-26.

Iddin: "At last I free you from your bindings, spell. Be free until I once again call upon your power." Iddin locks eyes on Zarif, seeing the rider's injuries. It is finally time to show these devious creatures the power of Zuzu. Perhaps, then, they could regret their wretched existence in their final moments.

Iddin strides purposefully to Zarif, preparing his spell. His staff is carefully waved in arcs alongside his steps, the wind melodically rushing through glass tubes. The whole movement creates a bizarre rhythm, some call completely alien to his fellow mercenaries. Sand whips into the air as Iddin takes his final stride and swings his staff to but an inch before Zarif's chest. "Let Zuzu grant his mercy and heal your wounds with the flesh of his own creation!" The sand flies mercilessly into even the most minor of injuries and cauterizes them with intense heat. The grains melt to glass to fill in where skin, muscle, and bone are absent. And with a glimmer of light reflecting the sun, the glass is gone in a moment and replaced with the very parts it was replacing.

Iddin turns to Ashür, eyes sharp with condemnation. "The words of pathetic deities are achievable by even the most disgusting of scum. They fall before the greater gods, still."

Iddin moves three tiles to 16-26, healing 6 health for Zarif.

Makeen: Makeen saw an opening in the fallen wall ahead and sounds of battle. To the right he saw most of his party. 'Who could possibly be in the middle of that mess alone...' With quick feet he sprinted to help his comrade beyond the wall.

Makeen moves eight tiles to 15-22. Throwing knives equipped and ready.

From his current position while charging towards the enemy, Siris could hear his comrades battling the yeeks and was rushing towards them to both aid and to gain more glory. While running Siris sees Zarif to his left coming towards him, figuring Zarif was probably trying to circle around and potentially strike the enemy from another direction. Seeing this opportunity, Siris extends his arm towards Zarif

Siris: "Zarif, assist me! Take me to the battle!"

Siris moves 1 tile to 16-26, gets targeted by the rescue command by Zarif, then gets put down at 22-22

Quick to act, Zarif gives Siris a nod and grabs his arm to help hoist him on his mount while trying to avoid slowing down as much as possible. While rushing towards the enemy, Siris notices his ally Etor bravely fighting by myself with a small swarm of yeets surrounding and rushing in to try to end the brave young warrior's life.

Siris: "HAHAHAHA! Etor you reckless fool!" Siris shouts while preparing to hop of Zarif's camel
"Don't you know only I can fight this many enemies by myself?!"

When Zarif slows down his mount to prepare himself for the rush of enemies Siris jumps off near Etor

Siris: "Although my young friend, you have earned my respect" while getting into a fighting stance and preparing his shield and sword
"allow me to offer my assistance!"

Kastilus: Despite the circumstance, an air of nervous tension nary befalls the robed gebtleman's face. Nay. Rather he steps too, not even backing down an inch from the detestable creatures assailing his mercs, he's apparently confident in his purchase. In fact, he breaks from the Theurg's succor, moving by way of the creeping pair, Ashür and Lyun."It is as Iddin says! But you know of divine speech? I wouldn't peg such a dour coin-blade a Theurg as well!"

Kastilus moves six tiles to 20-28

There is no response. Ashür clearly focuses his attention here on for the the battle ahead.

"Aaaah, Mystic then. . ." Kastilus muses, standing tall as his guards begin their gambit.

After helping his comrade up onto Salador's mighty back, the animal galloped past the crumbling walls to their reckless ally with determination. Zarif kicked the animal's side, and turned to his ally behind him, rolling his eyes.

Zarif: "New recruits"

The merchant smiled and shook his head, looking ahead again as Salador began to slow down as they made it to the small crumbling tower where their fool of a recruit was. He shuffled Sirius off the Camel's back and glanced at Etor.

Zarif: "Your recklessness is putting yourself and your allies at risk. You're on cleanup duty, for the foreseeable future" His hard glare softened after a moment, and he readied his bow. "You can hardly hold that heavy thing. Here, take my spear instead"

Zarif rescues Sirus, rides 10 tiles to 21-22, trades his Bronze Short Spear for Etor's Bronze Longspear, then places Sirus on 22-22
