This looks interesting! I think I might dust off an old character of mine for this. She's a character that temporarily gets a weakened version of the powers of people she touches. The upside is unlike Rogue, she can stack them.

Hey, sounds cool! And welcome; lookin' forward to seein' whatcha cook up :3

Doing ok! Life and internet both continue to be as busy as ever it seems on my end, but I have gotten my concepts down to the top three for a character at least (yay). The pain is deciding which one, indecisively, as has been my most common problem in RP'ing. (lol)

I know I'm pretty late (given you just removed all the options lol), but #3 sounds interesting!

also, I just thought I would put out this website for anyone wanting to make art of their character
picrew.me/en
it has so many different character creators and it's super fun!

^ this

It’s incredibly accessible for making characters with the sheer volume of them. And it’s a billion times more ethical than using AI “art” since character portrayal is exactly what picrews are for

Lookin' great! Only major complaints would be these;

1: You should say exactly how long he can stay in 'Hyper Bolt' for, which I'd judge for being a few seconds, maybe capping out at 5 if he pushes it, and also adding something that explains that overuse of it can make him exhausted, that way he can't just press the Hyper Bolt button at the slightest hint of danger every time lol
2: The history could use a bit more meat on it; what exactly caused him to finally give up the ghost and accept (at least slightly) his role in the superhero community by joining the Academy?

If these two things can be patched up, then I'll say he's more than good to roll out.

Thanks! And...sorry for the sudden edit there as well. I got a bit suddenly super self-concious while on break at work this evening/night, and then edited them out. Which is and was a me problem. Its been a long week and coming weekend yet to come. (T_T)

Idea Three, just to toss it back up here, is the one where the individual can control their own biology completely (down to the cellular level) and use it to basically become a horror monster in the field. Stuff like making tendrils of muscle tipped in kertain or bone that has been altered to be harder than steel. Can also regenerate, but it isn't passive at all and they have to actively focus on doing it. Physiology and body is extremedly redundant, and they can survive being reduced to something like a head or an equally large large enough pile of, er, flesh.

...Wait, didn't I try for something like this in that Worm RP?! XD

Ah, and at this stage Idea 2 with alterations (the energy powers and body swapped type thing) or Idea 3 are feeling more viable, as I think I overcomplicated trying to work out and explain #1 (alien wasp-thing bug guy who can make more of them and such) if nothing else. (@_@)

But I can write out the gist for the other two again if you or anyone else would like, er, I mean.

@Crusader Lord

Honestly, I really like all the ideas though I lean more towards 1 and 3.

The first just seems interesting and kind of new to me and the last one just because it’s so versatile which means more surprises from how you get to present and do fighting.

~~also no worries on the erase since I’m prone to being self-conscious also. Didn’t get a chance to answer right away to your questions since I was trying to be good and finish my profile before reading through everything lol~~

@Crusader Lord

Not a mod, but I think we all get it. Don't worry about it though and take your time. Worse they will say is no.

Admittedly 3 seemed very interesting to me. A lot of things can happen from the bones alone, like Kar's Scythes, Santana's Reverse Rib Cage Attack, putting some punch into a fast ball special via bone spikes, or even something as simple as having the bones come out around him as a halloween costume. Then you get to fluids and other things that could be controlled, maybe even doing Space Ripper Stingy Eyes or insert Dead Man Wonderland move here. Have the muscles bulge out to give you more strength like the villain from the training camp arc in MHA. You would have to sit down and talk with Mintz about any ramifications, such as exhaustion and dehydration, overuse of certain materials in the body and constantly needing to consume stuff to replenish the reserves, etc, but I feel like it could work. Yes. I'm a Jojo's fan. How did you know?

The first idea sounded very interesting as well. Albeit creepy, but there is a Spider-Man out there made up of Spiders due to OSCORP genetic tinkering. So... Anything is possible. Reasoning is a little much, but it is comic books so... eh? Still say he could have fallen in an OSCORP animal experiment that went horribly wrong and now he is Wasp-Man, just actually made out of Wasps. Though your idea also works very well and could expand to do a variety of things, based on any limitations or explanations of the mutation itself as well as any explained information about the alien species and their bugs.

The second idea seems very straightforward and everything. Only reason maybe don't do that is cause we have one energy based man, but eh? We got two girls on motorbikes that seem fairly different enough. So I think there are ways to go about it. Just... Why the body swap? If its for humor reasons... The dude can shoot lasers. There are plenty of humorous things that can come out of that, both dirty and not.

Then you are doing better than me. Been looking at the other apps and worrying about what to make on my end. Lol.

I will confess that #1 as actually inspired in part by "Spiders-Man", who I never read the comics to see but discovered on the wiki like a year ago and have just continued remembering existed from time to time since then. That's an oddity in and of itself really I think. :P

Albeit in this case, the more nitty-gritty details of that idea's way of working was:

Yet it seems to consensus so far is that idea #3 seems to be the most versatile/cool one thus far, one #1 as a close second even if it is admittedly a bit of a creepy/crazy origin.

I also confess that the #2 Idea was inspired by stuff like Ranma 1/2 and magical girls, or things such as superheroes that got powers and such without warning or choice in the matter, but trying to fit a more tragic and superhero-esque type of approach in this case. So the greater details behind it were:

Ah...otherwise Idea #3 was inspired by a little indie game on Steam I played. Its mostly self-explanatory in terms of what the power does, and thought I could toss in some reasonable weaknesses such as: No passive regen (has to actively focus on 'regrowing' himself), can still very much be killed, can't mimic the genetics and such of others living things even if he can take on their form/appearance/voice in detail using his power, and can't match those with the greatest super strength and such things in turn (aka: can't mimic that using his powers beyond a certain level). Body redundancy would be ricidulous and on the level of his very cells at that, should the need arise, thus meaning his ability to actually survive being a single lump of flesh of around a certain size would at least make some manner of sense.

Or simply put, someone who has a lot of sheer versatility. A "jack of all trades, master of none" who can survive like some super-cockroack through crazy situations and recover from quite a lot despite not being the strongest thing ever. His genetics are, however, passively regenerating to a ludicrous degree and otherwise have made him biologically immortal (as in not dying of age specifically that is) once he hits the stride of his prime at like 25-27 years old. So guy could get irradiated the most horrendously he could be and not see genetic damage from it.

As for the details of how he and his powers came to be? Maybe had a parent or parents who was/were/are alien(s), maybe he was some bioweapon project or alien brood captured and experimented with in a human lab until he escaped and took on a human form, maybe he is a mutant or byproduct of some mutant power that took on a life off its own, etc. I kinda left it blank because I don't have all the answers on that. (@_@)

((Note: There was a fourth idea that didn't quite make my list. really, which was, well:

))

You know, for not making the list, I think #4 sounds pretty damn awesome; child soldier powered by an illicit and volatile super-drug that turned him into a living weapon, and the ideal pilot/battery for a suit so precarious in its make that it has killed all other would-be pilots, or severely injured/disabled them. Plus this 'generic German scientist' could be a bigger deal, like perhaps the infamous Arnim Zola in HYDRA. Those guys have a way of weaseling into every little crevice they can find...

So tbh, especially given our overall lack of techheads thus far, I'm actually super game for #4! But after some more thorough explanation on #1, I actually lean towards it closer than #3 if 4 is off the menu.

@Mintz Eh?! #4 is that good??? I mean, I could add it back to the list I suppose. I didn't expect such a good reception after I saw we had at least two people with vehicles or smarts already I mean. Heck, I kinda got the idea partly from the latest Armored Core game. (O_O)

What would you prefer between #1 and #4, just out of curiosity?

It'd be 4 for me, personally. I just dig the idea of a literally person-powered death robot xD

Plus it just has a bunch of cool in-world things going on between Extremis and the mysterious scientist who got hired on. Hell, if you wanna add another layer of intrigue, this could even be a project by Justin Hammer; seems up his alley, given the human testing and poorly tested war machine lmao, and it fits even moreso given it was originally designed to become a contestant to the Iron Man armor, and there are few people on Planet Earth who hate Stark more than Hammer.
