Everything about Ellia speaks to a life that has known more than idle comfort. At 5'7, she is lean and well-muscled, a physique rare among rich Corellians. Ellia's topaz skin is marred with the occasional scar, though these have been treated just enough with bacta to become faint, but still visible. An affectation of sorts. She is rarely without some fresh injury from her travels or other less noble activities. A black eye, bruised cheek, or cut lip are not uncommon marks upon her Ellia's face; they're almost as much a part of Ellia as the constellation of freckles. The numbers 1183 are tattooed in bold, black letters on her collarbone and don't appear to have faded at all. Ellia’s curly and wild dark hair is either pinned up when out in the field or otherwise let loose to take whatever shape it may please. Her dark eyebrows are thick and expressive. They frame soft hazel eyes that catch any light, shifting from brown to green to gold. Ellia's wardrobe is everchanging, ranging from evening gowns to bulky spacesuits, but the iconic look many have seen on the cover of her holobook is a fur-lined pale blue parka and dark pants bearing the Corellian Bloodstripe.

Sunrider - A ship designed by Ellia herself, the Sunrider is a sleek, long, narrow, and lightly armored research vessel with quite a bit of giddyup. The ship has few offensive weapons, just a dorsal ion turret and two forward-facing turbolasers mostly used for blasting rocks instead of ships. The Sunrider’s countermeasures are significantly more impressive. Chaff launchers that can damage radar sensors or tractor beams, ventral-mounted seeker warheads to destroy incoming missiles, sensor inverters that release an electromagnetic pulse from a dorsal radar that can redirect missiles, and sensor jammers that can help mask the ship’s signature. The Sunrider is also kitted out with a state-of-the-art deflector shield and hyperdrive. Within its hull, the Sunrider features a science lab, medbay, quarters for eight, a cargo bay packed with vehicles and gear, a kitchen, a sauna, and of course, a full bar. The interior is opulent for a research ship. Ellia spared no expense on her new home.

She’s made some savvy investments as well, and her personal fortune has grown substantially. The Sunrider’s crew and fellow members of the Centerpoint Cartographer Lodge are never far from Ellia. A group of misfits even among the Lodge, some have been around longer than others.
Dr. Zarvas Sivron - Dr. Sivron is a short, slender Twi’lek archeologist with long, pale yellow lekku adorned with ancient relics from her discoveries. Dr. Sivron is well suited to archeology, as the woman is intensely withdrawn and shy, even to her crew. However, she is a brave archeologist, often risking her life for artifacts and delving into crumbling ruins to study them. Dr. Sivron is a superstitious woman and carries with her a variety of trinkets and baubles meant to ward off bad luck.
Drel Kibul- Drelis a massive figure, even by Devaronian standards, with brilliantly painted horns and deep red skin. Kibul serves as the Sunrider’s astrophysicist and occasional muscle when the situation calls for it. The closest the Sunrider has to a mad scientist, Kibul is known throughout the scientific community for his truly insane theories on hyperspace’s relation to black holes that border on mysticism, and he insists a breakthrough is just around the corner. Kibul is gregarious, friendly, and something of a womanizer. Drel is the longest-serving member of the Sunrider next to Ellia.
T-3X "Tech"- An exceptionally talkative piece of machinery, T-3X is a custom-built pilot droid that doubles as the ship’s engineer. The droid loves to gossip about the crew and their activities, but seems to have genuine compassion for his friends. Tech also love to paint, for some reason, and their cramped quarters are filled with half-finished artwork.
Thasero “Thas” Konnar- The Sunrider’s linguist is a slight Zabarak male with small cranial horns and skin covered in tattoos from numerous cultures. Thas is a laid-back man, too laid back to ever hold down a real job. However, The Sunrider suits him well. He enjoys fully immersing himself in alien cultures, often going “native” for extended periods of time much to the chagrin of his crewmates. Thas always returns though, and always with an entirely new culture and language thoroughly researched. He's recently obtained an extensive cybernetic implant in his skull that allows him to access a vast swath of linguistic databanks in an instant, giving Thas protocol droid-like translation abilities.
Dr. Mara Creel- The only other Corellian on the Sunrider’s roster, Dr. Creel serves as the ship’s xenobiologist and occasional medic. Though only a few years older than Ellia, she has begrudgingly become a sort of caretaker to the others on the ship, perhaps because she’s the one who frequently patches up their broken bones. She has a calming presence, if a bit snarky, and is the biggest pessimist of the group. Mara has a deep fascination with exotic wildlife, and is part of the reason Dasri is part of the crew in the first place.

She has an intense dislike and distrust of Force users, Jedi, and Togrutas, and will go out of her way to avoid these types. Togrutas, especially, are a major source of discomfort and anxiety for her. She loathes being alone for extended periods of time after a particularly nasty cave-in that left her isolated for a week in the spice mines. Ellia has an intense fear of being restrained, imprisoned, or otherwise confined without means of escape. She’d do practically anything to keep her freedom.

Those who've read Ellia's accounts see a brave and rebellious adventurer. Those who've met Ellia say she’s a charming and ambitious individual, if a bit rough around the edges. Those who know Ellia, however, tell a different story. An intoxicating and volatile presence, a whirlwind of a woman whose desires and mood change with the wind. Combine all of these perceptions of Ellia, and you get something close to the truth. But not quite.
To understand Ellia, one must know that she is a prolific liar, and none know this at all since she is exceptional at it. Her very survival depends on lying, so she must be. Ellia derives no pleasure from these fabrications, only the pleasure of living, and so she does it without thought. She lies about who she is. She lies about who she likes. She lies about what she thinks. Ellia sometimes wonders if she will lose her true self among all the lies.
Ellia is racked by guilt and shame. Ellia, the real Ellia, had survived in the spice mines for so long, and was killed by a greedy little girl. At first, it had seemed like survival, and she felt no burden. But as Ellia grows older, the weight of her sins grow heavier. The real Ellia's ghost haunts her daily, eating away at her, consuming her. Ellia spends much of her time trying to push the dark thought from her mind.

She expects to be betrayed at any moment by any person at any time as a sort of karmic justice for her crime, or believes everyone is capable of the same treachery she once committed. She does little with this distrust except harbor it deep inside herself. Ellia refuses to let anyone in her inner ramparts. Not her “parents”, not her friends, not her crew, and not her lovers. Some can sense this barrier, and those that can Ellia will “let in,” in a sense. Allow them to see the real her. But this, too, is a fabrication.
Ellia’s rise to stardom was only a consequence of her attempt to distract herself from the past, seeking adventure to drown out the guilt, and soon the act of exploration itself became a compulsion. Though the fame came to her by accident, she does enjoy it to an extent. She enjoys the wealth that came with it, which she sees as the only thing capable of protecting her. She enjoys the freedom it affords her, which she vows never to never lose again. And some small part of her enjoys the recognition she receives because of it, once being a poor girl from a poor family. The free drinks don’t hurt either.

She’s played the part so often it has become a part of her. When free from this facade, Ellia is more prone to real emotions. Flirtations. Flashes of anger. Self-loathing. Drinking. A cycle, more often than not. This is as close to the real Ellia as people can get. Many are drawn into the cyclone that is Ellia, and many are happy to drown in it. The fleeting moments of authentic friendship or love Ellia lets slip out keep people around, desperate for another glimpse.

Ellia was born in 26 BRS in Coronet City's slums on Corellia, but calls the Sunrider home now.

Ellia didn’t have much luck when she came into the galaxy. The first name she knew was a poor one, her parents two ship welders living in the lower warrens of Coronet City working for the Arrant Corporation. She was first called Lannah Antilles by them, and though they had very little, they were happy enough.
As the war dragged on, and the demand for Republic ships grew, safety standards in the shipyards plummeted. So too did Lannah’s parents when a fraying cable snapped as they welded plates to a destroyer, and the two fell to their deaths. Lannah was left an orphan with no family. Not knowing what else to do, the child sought work in the shipyards like her parents, employed as a “scrap rat”. She crawled through narrow nooks and crannies of destroyed ships to retrieve valuable raw materials and slept in the stripped skeletons of decimated cruisers. It was dangerous work and it paid little.
Lannah was eight when the coup on Corellia took place. While the regime change itself was bloodless, the same could not be said for those in the lower warrens of Correllia. Crime spiked as opportunistic vultures sought soft targets while the government was busy elsewhere. Lannah and hundreds of other street urchins were kidnapped by a band of slavers and shipped offworld to their new home, the spice mines of Kessel. Here, Lannah came into her second name, one that was tattooed onto her collarbone. 2240.
The shipyards had been tough, but the spice mines were hell. Disease ran rampant through the slaves and mine collapses killed just as many. The sadistic overseers were just as likely to beat their captives to death as they were to work them to death. 2240 was given a vibropick and sent below. The slaves rarely made friends with eachother, knowing they would likely die in just a few months, but 2240 made just a single friend in her time there. Another Correlian, a girl about the same age as her named 1183. The girls looked so similar that they might have been siblings. The only real difference between them being the numbers tattooed on their skin. 2240 showed 1183 how to squeeze through the crumbling mines, and 1183 taught 2240 how to escape the wrath of their cruel overseer, a disgraced Togruta Jedi called Boz.
For an astonishing six years the pair managed to survive in the mines, a feat which seemed to invoke Boz’s wrath. He was increasingly cruel to them, as if their insistence on living was a direct insult to him. Unbeknownst to both 1183 and 2240, tensions were brewing throughout the mine. Supplies started to go missing, blasting gear and weapons. Without warning, the slaves rose up against their masters, killing them with hand and foot, shovels and rocks. 1183 and 2240 were swept up in the rush to the surface where the slaves clashed with armed guards. In a frantic dash, the two girls managed to board a small shuttle that had been loading spice when the revolt erupted. With her life on the line, 2240 managed to get the shuttle off the ground and free from Kessel. As far as they knew, they were the only survivors of the revolt.
With some trial and error, 2240, now Lannah again, managed to punch in the coordinates to the nearest system. Finally free from Kessel, they shared their true names. 1183 was Ellia Arrant, heir to the Arrant Corporation. The same company that owned the shipyards Lannah’s parents worked in and died in. Ellia, too, was kidnapped by slavers, though she hid her true identity for fear they might kill her outright rather than face the wrath of a powerful family. Ellia promised Lannah that once they returned home, she would see Lannah rewarded for her friendship.
But Lannah didn’t want this pittance. She knew what would happen. The elites would give her some shiny metal, and she’d be right back where she started. Slaving away in the shipyards until she died of disease or crushed beneath the bulk of a cruiser. In a fit of fear and anger and desperation, Lannah drove a vibropick through Ellia’s skill and ejected her still-warm body into space.
Months later, Lannah landed on Corellia. Only she was no longer Lannah, but Ellia Arrant, the revenant daughter back from the dead.
Ellia seemed uncouth and strange to her parents, hardly recognizable, but after eight years in the brutal mines it was to be expected. Ellia still had the same dark hair and hazel eyes, and that was enough. Her older brothers had all died in foolish ways, so Ellia’s parents were just happy to have a child in their home. She was raised like a proper heir to the family fortune, and after some time, grew used to this treatment. For someone with no real education, Ellia did well enough in school. Not top of her class, but her instructors always noted her drive, as if she sought to prove herself. Most scions simply rested on their parent’s laurels, but not Ellia. She took a keen interest in ship design and galactic exploration, constantly studying maps of planets and systems until she knew both every Corellian cruiser and the known galaxy like the back of her hand.
Once of age and given the typical allowance afforded to wealthy Corellians, Ellia joined the Centerpoint Cartographer Lodge, much to her parent’s chagrin. On its face, the lodge was a multidisciplinary professional society dedicated to archeologists, xenobiologists, geologists, astrophysicists, and other scientists with a taste for exploration. This had once been the case, but in the years since the lodge’s founding, it became little more than a dumping ground for second sons, black sheep, and other wealthy rejects to swap stories of their galactic road-trips with other flunkies. Ellia had other ideas, though.
With a small crew and the newly-constructed Sunrider, Ellia set out into to explore the galaxy both known and unknown, paying little attention to governmental borders or conflict zones. She scoured worlds for novelty, roamed cities, wandered the most remote parts of every continent. Ellia climbed the highest mountains, delved the darkest caves, and dove into the deepest oceans. She chartered undiscovered systems in the galaxy, made first contact with sentient species, unearthed ancient ruins, and countless other accomplishments.

The Hegemon took Ellia into his confidence, using her as a diplomatic tool; Corellia was increasingly unpopular in galactic public opinion, and she was sent on occasional “missions” to wine and dine with high-ranking officials and diplomats or take them on trips to exotic and uncharted worlds. She loathed these tasks, but the Hegemon was more than generous with donations to the Lodge and her personal coffers, so it became a necessary evil.
Ellia’s latest duty is on Mandalore for the 25th Founding, ordered to mingle with the high-society from around the galaxy and show them what real Corellians were like.
As the war dragged on, and the demand for Republic ships grew, safety standards in the shipyards plummeted. So too did Lannah’s parents when a fraying cable snapped as they welded plates to a destroyer, and the two fell to their deaths. Lannah was left an orphan with no family. Not knowing what else to do, the child sought work in the shipyards like her parents, employed as a “scrap rat”. She crawled through narrow nooks and crannies of destroyed ships to retrieve valuable raw materials and slept in the stripped skeletons of decimated cruisers. It was dangerous work and it paid little.
Lannah was eight when the coup on Corellia took place. While the regime change itself was bloodless, the same could not be said for those in the lower warrens of Correllia. Crime spiked as opportunistic vultures sought soft targets while the government was busy elsewhere. Lannah and hundreds of other street urchins were kidnapped by a band of slavers and shipped offworld to their new home, the spice mines of Kessel. Here, Lannah came into her second name, one that was tattooed onto her collarbone. 2240.
The shipyards had been tough, but the spice mines were hell. Disease ran rampant through the slaves and mine collapses killed just as many. The sadistic overseers were just as likely to beat their captives to death as they were to work them to death. 2240 was given a vibropick and sent below. The slaves rarely made friends with eachother, knowing they would likely die in just a few months, but 2240 made just a single friend in her time there. Another Correlian, a girl about the same age as her named 1183. The girls looked so similar that they might have been siblings. The only real difference between them being the numbers tattooed on their skin. 2240 showed 1183 how to squeeze through the crumbling mines, and 1183 taught 2240 how to escape the wrath of their cruel overseer, a disgraced Togruta Jedi called Boz.
For an astonishing six years the pair managed to survive in the mines, a feat which seemed to invoke Boz’s wrath. He was increasingly cruel to them, as if their insistence on living was a direct insult to him. Unbeknownst to both 1183 and 2240, tensions were brewing throughout the mine. Supplies started to go missing, blasting gear and weapons. Without warning, the slaves rose up against their masters, killing them with hand and foot, shovels and rocks. 1183 and 2240 were swept up in the rush to the surface where the slaves clashed with armed guards. In a frantic dash, the two girls managed to board a small shuttle that had been loading spice when the revolt erupted. With her life on the line, 2240 managed to get the shuttle off the ground and free from Kessel. As far as they knew, they were the only survivors of the revolt.
With some trial and error, 2240, now Lannah again, managed to punch in the coordinates to the nearest system. Finally free from Kessel, they shared their true names. 1183 was Ellia Arrant, heir to the Arrant Corporation. The same company that owned the shipyards Lannah’s parents worked in and died in. Ellia, too, was kidnapped by slavers, though she hid her true identity for fear they might kill her outright rather than face the wrath of a powerful family. Ellia promised Lannah that once they returned home, she would see Lannah rewarded for her friendship.
But Lannah didn’t want this pittance. She knew what would happen. The elites would give her some shiny metal, and she’d be right back where she started. Slaving away in the shipyards until she died of disease or crushed beneath the bulk of a cruiser. In a fit of fear and anger and desperation, Lannah drove a vibropick through Ellia’s skill and ejected her still-warm body into space.
Months later, Lannah landed on Corellia. Only she was no longer Lannah, but Ellia Arrant, the revenant daughter back from the dead.
Ellia seemed uncouth and strange to her parents, hardly recognizable, but after eight years in the brutal mines it was to be expected. Ellia still had the same dark hair and hazel eyes, and that was enough. Her older brothers had all died in foolish ways, so Ellia’s parents were just happy to have a child in their home. She was raised like a proper heir to the family fortune, and after some time, grew used to this treatment. For someone with no real education, Ellia did well enough in school. Not top of her class, but her instructors always noted her drive, as if she sought to prove herself. Most scions simply rested on their parent’s laurels, but not Ellia. She took a keen interest in ship design and galactic exploration, constantly studying maps of planets and systems until she knew both every Corellian cruiser and the known galaxy like the back of her hand.
Once of age and given the typical allowance afforded to wealthy Corellians, Ellia joined the Centerpoint Cartographer Lodge, much to her parent’s chagrin. On its face, the lodge was a multidisciplinary professional society dedicated to archeologists, xenobiologists, geologists, astrophysicists, and other scientists with a taste for exploration. This had once been the case, but in the years since the lodge’s founding, it became little more than a dumping ground for second sons, black sheep, and other wealthy rejects to swap stories of their galactic road-trips with other flunkies. Ellia had other ideas, though.
With a small crew and the newly-constructed Sunrider, Ellia set out into to explore the galaxy both known and unknown, paying little attention to governmental borders or conflict zones. She scoured worlds for novelty, roamed cities, wandered the most remote parts of every continent. Ellia climbed the highest mountains, delved the darkest caves, and dove into the deepest oceans. She chartered undiscovered systems in the galaxy, made first contact with sentient species, unearthed ancient ruins, and countless other accomplishments.

@Theyra After having another read through I don't see anything outright objectionable about Kzaye, so I'll be approving them.
Now, as per usual I'll take a moment for more generalized announcements regarding the RP as a whole. Firstly in that while we are still very much open to new characters both by first time applicants and current players, I would ask that anyone going further look to make either a Corellian, an Argent, or an Alsakani character. We've got a fair few Imperials, which is a good thing, and a fair number of independents, so I want to be sure that there's not just an even spread across the group in terms of alignments and motivations for a more diverse cast, but also have people with very different interests that would help make future plot-lines more interesting.
Also, I've decided to nominate @Quest Abandoner as our second Co-GM. From experience I consider them to be pretty fair regarding working with players and their concepts no matter how unhinged, and that's one of my primary criteria when it comes to selecting those to GM the RP alongside me.

Airus keeps several datapads filled with information on criminals, activate investigations, and data records he is in the process of archiving. His two Astromech's, Sparks and Goldie. Two light sabers one in yellow and one in white, designed by Varina Vel Aath and given to her brother as gifts. Cin Drallig's training Holocron, the temple battle master and finest saber teacher the Order has had in recent memory. Jocasta Nu's Holocron the Chief librarian's holocron, a Holocron that covers the vast majority of information one might need to locate or how to locate it. Archivist and Archeologist: Trained by Jocastu Nu, Airus is the rare breed of younger Jedi with the knowledge and ability to maintain, build, and curate the data stacks the Jedi Order is known for within temples. While the Alsakan Judicial Branch has many Jedi who can patrol and serve but few who can provide more critical services. Airus and skeleton staff lorekeepers have been tasked with the enormous job of filing and securing all of the data and holocrons they can salvage from Coruscant, other locations, and recover from black market sales. Airus was also given access to Jocasta Nu's holocron which contains the knowledge she wished her successor to have, as such. Airus is considered a wealth of information and while he may not remember exactly what they need at a given time he usually can find something relevant and useful quickly enough to help.
The Last Battle Master's Chosen: The Jedi Order had many great duelists and lightsaber combatants. Mace Windu, Dooku, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, all of them however considered one man their friend, equal, and at some point another sparring partner, however, not one of them was a better teacher than Cin Drallig Battle Master and commander of the Temple Guard. Brought up in the Jedi crèche Airus was allowed to forgo form I training for form III instead by Cin Drallig after the child delivered him explanation on why Jedi should focus on protection over attack. Airus grew to become one of the most capable in practitioner in Soresu over the years, the clone wars quickly sharpening those skills. Adding Form V to skills during the clone wars and developing to near completion under the Argent before finally proving himself during his flight.
Alsakani Jedi: Keeping the peace is more so about solving practical problems rather than esoteric mystery's of the force. As such Jedi who live and work with the Judaical branch focusing more so on non-lethal duties and public service. He focused on trying to learn things that would serve him well throughout life rather than focus on combat skills and things to substitute his lightsaber skill. Taking to things that would serve him and those he cared about well in the field or help him fulfill his duties in the temple better. Taking a Sentinel like approach he asked himself what is practical and not what is powerful. Airus see's the force as something to helping him serve, not as a weapon. The Jedi is the tool the force merely the medium they depend on to get there. With investigation and critical thinking becoming the backbone of the Jedi serving Judicials.
Veteran of two wars: Airus led clones and militia's against the CIS as well fought them himself, from Outer Rim to the defense of the Inner Rim. As such his combat experience was forged in warfare against the Dark Acolytes, droids, and more. Airus's experience in the clone wars had tempered him into a capable leader and decisive leader. This would be further showcased when Airus led squads of Judicials against the creatures made by the Arkanian rebels. Airus would be twice decorated and promoted during putting down the rebellion. This time spent in the field combined with study has made him able to communicate in a dozen languages, with some practice he can read more.
Alsakani Jedi patrol pilot: Skilled in bringing the firepower and speed of an T-65 to bear or maneuvering The Blind Luck while coordinating judicial patrol craft. He is by no means an ace but a strong force sensitivity and years of flying craft have given him at enough skill to avoid his foes and strike back.
The Anaxes Connections: The Vel Aath family have been serving in the Republic and attending the war college as long as the republic navy has had a war college on Anaxes. While Airus hails from the Coruscanti branch his relatives on Anaxes have welcomed him with open arms... And grand public relations. With the Vel Aath family currently holding position of Senator from the historically military bound planet and Airus is now a ranking member of the Judicials with accolades to his name and the Chiefs favor Airus wonders where their influence ends. Though the families long service record and unblemished dedication to the Republic have made them friends to both the Mandalorian's and Corellian's with both interested in courting the martial culture of Anaxes.

As such he hopes to make headway in climbing the ranks of Judicial branch to assist in that goal, however the stress of not only performing well but maintaining appearances means that Airus must constantly be alert for anything that could endanger his assent.
Argent Escapee: Airus is one of the very small number of individuals to ever leave the Argent Order and continue to live, mostly thanks to the protections his position, relatives, and the Mandalorian's afforded him after his escape with critical and damning information on the Argent and what they attempted to do. As such the Argent would love nothing more than to kill Airus and would take any excuse to bring him back or terminate him depending on what is most convenient.

Without the force Airus must depend on hearing and touch alone to navigate, he has learned somewhat how to navigate without the force but is still far less graceful without the force to aid him.

While many would say Airus shows almost to much kindness, the truth is that he feels the need to improves others lives by doing anything he can. Varina is a tall and slender framed young woman with usually dressed in simple clothes or robes if in the comfort of home. Unlike many Jedi and Zeltron Varina cares little for appearances. Her face wears a near constant grin and her smile can seem almost infectious. Carefree and at her happiest when she has others to indulge or be indulged by others. Varina lives her life to spread joy and kindness where she can. Her red hair and pinkish skin a dead give away of her heritage, grey eyes the flicker with specs of blue. Varina's limber and flexible with less bulky muscle than her brother, assisting in her more wild and daring maneuvers.
Standing at just under six foot three inches, Varina's possess Zeltron pheromones which when active make the air around her smell faintly of daisies and lavender. Jedi Artisan, Alsakani Armorer: A unique skillset focuses on the crafting and styling of lightsabers, Varina is one of the few who can not only build a saber but create crystals for it through infusion of the force or carefully craft artificial crystals. As such Varina helps arm the youngest among them and teaches the creation of sabers... However Varina's artisan skills extend to blasters, armor, ships, and droids where he passion is mostly. She paints and draws in her free time however, being colorblind Varina often makes wild color choices and choses to imagine things are far more vibrant than they are. Varina's masterful weapons crafting and customizing skills have made her important to arming and equipping Alsakani Judicials in the field. While most don't choose to work with Varina they will never deny an op where she provides the gun.

Coruscant
Airus and Varina hail from the prominent Vel Aath family. Originally from Anaxes, the family has a long history of service dating back to the Great Hyperspace wars as both officers and Jedi. The twins Miralukan mother, Captain Velmira Vel Aath, was born into the family's Coruscant branch while his father Evra Revlad was a Republic starship engineer and designer who worked for a multitude of companies. Incom and Mandal Motors being his biggest claims to fame.
Aieua and Varina were discovered at a very early age to be force sensitive with powerful empathic abilities, as the family had done for generations both were turned over to the Jedi. With the galaxy becoming more dangerous every day and both parents busier than ever, they felt it was better for the children to be somewhere they could be attended to. Especially after Evra's death in the early clone wars by a CIS bombing plot. Velmira devoted herself now even further to ending the war, fearing her kids would be made to fight it if she did not.
Airus and Varina were raised with little knowledge of their family, even away from each other save from references in temple texts and history files. With Varina showing a natural talent for the Shii-Cho and excelling quickly in the form. Airus meanwhile refused the form from an early age citing that Jedi strove to defend in an age of blaster fire, what use was a form that did not excel in defending from a withering hail of incoming blaster bolts. This would escalate until the temple Battlemaster Cin Drallig would get involved. Amused at the child's ability to reason at such a young age Airus was pulled from normal saber classes and taught directly in Soresu by Cin Drallig.
Airus grew quickly as a saber combatant and student of the library, seeing little of his sister thought they did commune through their bond when they could, the temple unable to break it. While Varina turned her connection in the force towards science. Then later art while building her abilities in the force concert with her own natural gifts. Both would with each other build upon their natural empath abilities they had shown even against the Order's recommendations. When it came time for Padawan selection both twins Felanil Baaks selected Varina, the Duros delighted to have someone interested in saber crafting. A skill becoming rarer in the order. While Airus was specially requested to become Cin Drallig's Padawan, to his own surprise. Each one accepted at the young age of thirteen and pushed to serve as commanders of the Republic army. The twins would no be further separated than ever before and the council would pushing to keep them apart hearing the rumors they were more attached to one another than Jedi should be.
Varina grew rapidly as took up piloting and her master's skill in form zero, the art of nonviolent intervention. Her force abilities flourished as she learned of unique materials, places, crystals, and more that could be used to alter and prepare a lightsaber for a person. She also learned of the technique for turning more common crystals into usable ones and making synthetic ones should she ever be denied the ability to make a trip to crystal caverns. She campaigned through the clone wars as a pilot and insurgent leader helping to arm and train the populations to resist the occupying droid army.
Airus found himself now much prominently placed in the order. With a goal of serving as a Battlemaster now more than a dream, but his truly impressive talent for the force and moreover Lorekeepers duties. The council of first knowledge regularly requested Airus for missions as Cin Drallig's duty kept him from leaving the temple often he was regularly sent alone or with clone trooper accompaniment to the field.
Airus faced off and escaped the occasional dark acolyte or wayward force and more often bounty hunters or separatist commandos. May of this force users had no master for guidance so they pillaged and stole whatever they could from the Jedi hoping to learn more. Other missions were often part of small fleets and flotilla of supply ships reinforcing fronts or local system armies. He did see major combat as a commander on Geonosis at the start of war and later was assigned along with clone troopers to clear the tunnels with flamethrowers equipped clone troopers.
Sent to Ryloth to deliver aid Airus was surprising reunited with Varina the siblings worked to help the locals train and equip themselves for combat against the CIS. Varina and Republic fighter squadrons providing air support. Airus meanwhile spent his time helping integrate clone and militia forces to improve combat effectiveness and learned about the Twi'lek's from Cham Syndulla. Airus and Varina would help make the Twi'lek's an effective fighting force but be reassigned before the campaign saw its conclusion. The Jedi worried over reunting the siblings but the desperation of the fighting simply meant they needed everyone who could fight.
Arriving on Kamino with Varina and other Jedi in time for the second CIS assault on the planet. Airus was part of the counter offensive leading two Clone Commando units to attack a Lucrehulk forming the backbone of the protective blockade on the planet. Successfully disabling the command sphere from the wider rings guns. Airus and the commandos were able to weaken the CIS for Republic fleet assault to recapture orbital control.
Mimban was his last active warzone while Varina was assigned to Ondoron to assist the partisans, though in truth out of fear the pair were becoming to close. Airus would meanwhile be assigned to Mudjumpers, a unit of jump pack troopers who specialized in drop assault, aerial combat, and frontline blitz assaults. The trench warfare on Mimban was horrendous and lasted till the end of the war. Facing far more dangerous droids and Deathwatch fanatics, Airus was instrumental in defeating them, especially in night time trench raids and tunnel fights.
By the end of the war as CIS's power loomed, Airus was sent after Jedi, Sith, and other artifacts in the parts of the galaxy. Hunting information and data as well as assisting with backing up data from the great library. While Varina found herself regularly joining defense fleets to supervise new fighter squadrons or training resistance groups with a handful of clones. A far cry from the grand army they had once been commanding.
Airus would be wounded against the dark acolyte Severance Tan and sent to a Jedi medical corps ship. While Varina would be stationed at Anaxes to give a commencement address to that year's graduating officers. The fall of Coruscant was something both siblings felt reverberated through thei empathic connections. Airus broke down as he felt the death of his master.
Lost and Damned:
Airus, having been originally meant to be knighted upon his return to Coruscant, became the unofficial leader among the medical corps personnel and clone troopers with them. Airus heard of remnants of Republic government further north. So setting out with little else the Jedi would defend and help move the convoys northward. The medical ship's convoy was an easy target for anyone desperate or cowardly enough to try it. Airus, would rather than heading north with them turn back to look for more disparate survivors in CIS occupied space. Airus and few other volunteers traveled for years picking up any desperate republic survivors and Jedi as they moved from the outer rim back towards the Core worlds. Over time building a small team of Jedi and clone troopers giving the CIS middle finger for years. They did did good work for years... Until they encountered the Argent Order.
When an offer came from a group they agreed meet on a remote planet. Though the offer was extended only to the Jedi, some were willing others concerned over the claims this new order made... And if joining would violate their vows already existing. Openly Airus agreed, he would take the Jedi who were interested and see what this Argent Order wanted of them. Airus and seven fellow Jedi survivors traveled to meet the Argent face to face on an aging and battered diplomatic vessel. Secretly however Airus had instructed his two astromech droids to jump the others onwards and quickly towards Mandalore, knowing they would take in the clones. It was his inherent distrust towards anyone claiming to know better than anyone that saw his people safely reach Mandalore... Also doomed him to service.
Upon arrival Airus found only two Jedi present, both were masters. Wrewn Kharm, known as Kharm the harm among the temple Jedi having only trained one padawan into a knight... And three Padawans died under his watch. Since as the council had sent him to a distant outpost far from the main temple. A pale furred wookie with silver tufts showing his advanced age though he stood head and shoulders above his fellow wookies, his presence dominated the group. Next him the diminutive and aged Jocasta Nu, smiled warmly though it didn’t reassure Airus like it had when she had lectured and taught him the halls of the library.
The conversation was brief... It ended in the deaths of three of Airus's fellow surviving Jedi... And the remaining four and himself to be pushed into service for the newly founded Argent Order, they had seen what disagreeing openly with the masters got you in their once eager comrades. Fearing for his friend's safety and his own chances at reuniting with his sister. However, his own skill in defending the others was to be commended... And his assignment to Master Kharm ensured his future as a Light Warden or to die trying to become one for the glory of Ashla and the Argent.
While Airus struggled and scrounged, Varina had found herself alone and for the first time directionless. Without a master to question, or her fellow Jedi to depend on... She did the only thing she could think of, she helped people. Disturbing food, medicine, and supplies. Helping smugglers and refugees escape the coming hammer of the CIS’s fleets or survive under occupation. Varina as a Jedi also found herself an outlaw, living with those beyond CIS’s reach or in the shadows they refused to venture into. At least until the Alsakani took some control of the situation, Varina and other Jedi like her found themselves slowly able to merge into more open roles without CIS reprisal due to legal loopholes. Though she certainly would have loved another shot at the droids, people mattered more.
Varina Vel Aath would become part of the Alsakani policing forces, taking on a role as strike force member. Hitting hard targets like crime lords and slavers attempting to profit from the crisis. Varina would become one of the first Jedi judicials in Alsakan. Varina’s career saw marked drops in crime in areas she was assigned as well as increased community outreach. Her presence brought smiles and warmth to where she worked and fear to criminals she dealt with.
However as her work with Alsakan grew ever more impressive her talent for art and weapon making dwindled. It seemed as though without her brother or directing current in her life the spark that brought Varina to adventure and growth had withered and with it her drive as a creator. Varina would be promoted several times and find herself up for a chance getting her unit to supervise. She found no happiness or joy in her day, only a sense of duty and purpose she could scarcely abandon as it kept her moving.
Five years Airus struggled against his new brutal master, five years Varina focused on the good of others neglecting herself at all expenses. Airus having to contain and hide his emotions, his goal of escaping the Argent and denouncing them. Varina burying herself insularly, denying her own gifts as empath for fear of letting anyone in again would just lead to more pain.
Flight of Galant Night:
Airus’s escape from the Argent Order was not... As planned. In fact one might say it was a journey of great danger and even greater luck on the part of the Miralukan Jedi. But from the start it had to be done, he would not falter in seeing it done. Airus and Master Wrewn Kharm had been assigned to look into Old Republic vessels that had been disabled or lost years ago. Many such vessels had simply worn down or been damaged and their usable components scrounged by generations of scrappers. So on the frontier world Garel, Airus and Master Kharm searched for the wreckage of an old Republic hammerhead class cruiser Galant Night. The ship had been in service since the New Sith Wars at least and with its cortosis hull if it could be repaired would bolster the Argent order’s ability to move through the galaxy.
Airus and several droids got to work on repairing the ship while Master Kharm investigated structural damage and evaluated the hold and armory of the vessel while he worked. While repairing the vessel's communication hub he found interesting recordings dating well back six hundred years. What Airus discovered in the communication hub would shake him to his core... And bring the wrath of Kharm the harm down upon himself.
The battle lasted nearly two hours before Airus managed to throw the massive wookie Jedi off of the ship and launch it into orbit. Leaving him far behind... And for the first time ever, giving Airus a choice in where to go. However knowing the Argent would not tolerate his actions even for how valuable he’d become he set a course towards Mandalorian space, said a prayer to any god that would listen, and engaged the reserve hyperdrive.
Airus would use the time in transit to lock down the data he had secured in multiple languages. Also finally seeing what Master Kharm had been looking into in the armory, finding even more of a shock in the armory. Airus attempted to bandage himself and heal the worst of his wounds... Before collapsing to sleep to the warm thrum of a hyperdrive.
Airus would meet the infamous mercenary Elam, while on the run together from Kharm the harm. The pair would eventually make it to Mandalore, with great difficulty and a lot of violence. Expecting the worst of it to be over... Before the former Jedi Knight found himself in a holding cell, interrogated over and over again by Mandalorians and Jedi alike. Over why he was here and what he was doing and who he was working for. Time and time again Airus answered the questions reeling from it all still.
It was nearly two weeks of that before he was finally able to show the information he had obtained. It was after this meeting he had a conversation with Mandalore. Airus gained protected status by the Mandalore's order and was knighted by Qui Gon Jinn himself, mostly as an insult to the Argent. Airus was offered a chance to join the Order on Mandalore... However, he saw his home devastated and damaged, he decided he would go home to aid his fellow Coruscanti.
Airus's return and defection from the monolithic order that was the Argent was news. To leave the Argent and openly operate was unheard of. She rushed to Mandalore as fast as she could. Airus and Varina would be reunited and Airus, ever grateful to the Mandalore and Jedi Order there, decided to return to Core worlds, his home to stay with his sister. This was also a practical decision as few Jedi wanted an Argent among them... Even if he was unwilling. Airus's story was kept as quiet as possible to prevent the Argent and others from wondering what exactly he had given to the Mandalore.
Protect and serve:
Airus took to Judicial service like a fish to water. Airus's early work would bring him into the roughest neighborhoods and after dangerous scum. Starting with traffickers and slavers, Airus particularly targeted Hutt operations to bring slaves from Core worlds to outer rim planets to work. His work and skill saw him rise from the prejudice of having been in Argent to a trusted officer.
Varina and Airus would eventually be assigned to cases taking them beyond Alsakan space, often tracking reports of kidnapped individuals. While outside their jurisdiction locating these individuals and the slave work camps was not beyond them and once done... Such places would be dismantled suddenly by other individuals or by random happenstance while Airus and Varina were corroborated to be elsewhere at the time. Either way citizens of Alsakan came home and reunited with loved ones. It was during one of these cases Airus would use his good relations with the Mandalorians to assist a young woman and her impressive if disturbingly vocal droid.
Varina with her brother back began to paint, build, and even construct sabers again. She transferred to act as her brother's partner and the duo quickly became one of the best teams in Alsakan. Airus's impressive knowledge and force abilities with Varina's streetwise know-how and people skills made them a force for change in the sector.
Their first big case that brought the duo to the attention of the chief was of course against a Hutt, Grakkus. Grakkus the Hutt had arrived in Alsakan with his agents and enough bribes to the CIS to have them turn a blind eye. Fascinated with the Jedi and now seeing their home reduced to rubble, Garkkus set out to build himself a palace in orbit around Coruscant. He was well known as the representative of the Hutts in Alsakani space and his influence was used to kidnap and extort the many homeless peoples of the inner rim.
Airus and Varina would investigate with Varina focusing on low level smugglers and slavers. While Airus infiltrated Grakkus's space station palace, offering the Hutt a chance at a living Jedi to unlock his collection of artifacts. When Grakkus made his move and imprisoned Airus he would use the collection to educate himself further without Grakkus's knowledge. Even crafting a recording device he hid within his cell to capture evidence.
When Airus made his move when Grakkus was preparing to clean house and deal with the Judicials who were on to him. Breaking the lights with the force, Airus deftly disarmed and disabled the Gamoran guards in the dark. Recovering his lightsabers the knight would make his way after Grakkus, on to find the cyborg Hutt and his elite guards on the bridge. Varina having felt the mental pull from her sibling he brought a squadron of Judicials to bear on Hutts personal cruiser.
Airus battling across the bridge threw his saber towards Grakkus who disabled with a Cortosis gauntlet. Feeling the Jedi attempting to pull it back he knew Hutts were immune to force manipulation... And so swallowed the saber.
As the Judicials boarded the disabled cruiser. Airus and Grakkus reached a fever pitch... Varina's timely arrival and sensing the saber she made for her brother and seeing he had lost it. Her instinct was to pull it and when it didn’t come, activate then pull it... Cleaving a hole through the Hutts gut as the saber shot to her hand. Arrests and backup requested saw the dissolution of Gaaruk's criminal empire and ten of thousands of individuals returned to the Alsakan space.
Varina would help set up charitable groups and private interests with ways to remove and employ thousands from Coruscant throughout Alsakani space. Airus for his part would go on to pursue the remaining parts of Grakkus's empire which eventually saw him duel the ancient and powerful Beldorion. A fallen Hutt Jedi who had aided Grakkus in exchange for dark artifacts that Grakkus had no interest in.
While Airus worked mostly within the confines and spirit of the law. Varina often worked around the word of it... Which led to a disparity of rank between the siblings. Varina was often demoted and promoted just as often while Airus rose in rank... Though with no one else willing to work with her, Airus stuck by his sister's side even as hopscotched through the ranks of the Judicials.
Cases came and went, ranging from dealing with dark sider cults to rogue Jedi Airus found himself more specialized towards these incidents. Rather than the everyday crimes most went after.
However before it was all over, the twins would be called to serve in the second Arkanian revolution. May of this force users had no master for guidance so they pillaged and stole whatever they could from the Jedi hoping to learn more. He did see major combat as a commander on Geonosis at the start of war and later was assigned along with clone troopers to clear the tunnels with flamethrowers equipped clone troopers.
Sent to Ryloth to deliver aid Airus was surprising reunited with Varina the siblings worked to help the locals train and equip themselves for combat against the CIS. Varina and Republic fighter squadrons providing air support. Airus meanwhile spent his time helping integrate clone and militia forces to improve combat effectiveness and learned about the Twi'lek's from Cham Syndulla. Airus and Varina would help make the Twi'lek's an effective fighting force but be reassigned before the campaign saw its conclusion. The Jedi worried over reunting the siblings but the desperation of the fighting simply meant they needed everyone who could fight.
Arriving on Kamino with Varina and other Jedi in time for the second CIS assault on the planet. Airus was part of the counter offensive leading two Clone Commando units to attack a Lucrehulk forming the backbone of the protective blockade on the planet. Successfully disabling the command sphere from the wider rings guns. Airus and the commandos were able to weaken the CIS for Republic fleet assault to recapture orbital control.
Mimban was his last active warzone while Varina was assigned to Ondoron to assist the partisans, though in truth out of fear the pair were becoming to close. Airus would meanwhile be assigned to Mudjumpers, a unit of jump pack troopers who specialized in drop assault, aerial combat, and frontline blitz assaults. The trench warfare on Mimban was horrendous and lasted till the end of the war. Facing far more dangerous droids and Deathwatch fanatics, Airus was instrumental in defeating them, especially in night time trench raids and tunnel fights.
By the end of the war as CIS's power loomed, Airus was sent after Jedi, Sith, and other artifacts in the parts of the galaxy. Hunting information and data as well as assisting with backing up data from the great library. While Varina found herself regularly joining defense fleets to supervise new fighter squadrons or training resistance groups with a handful of clones. A far cry from the grand army they had once been commanding.
Airus would be wounded against the dark acolyte Severance Tan and sent to a Jedi medical corps ship. While Varina would be stationed at Anaxes to give a commencement address to that year's graduating officers. Lost and Damned:

It was his inherent distrust towards anyone claiming to know better than anyone that saw his people safely reach Mandalore... Also doomed him to service.
Upon arrival Airus found only two Jedi present, both were masters. Wrewn Kharm, known as Kharm the harm among the temple Jedi having only trained one padawan into a knight... And three Padawans died under his watch. Since as the council had sent him to a distant outpost far from the main temple. A pale furred wookie with silver tufts showing his advanced age though he stood head and shoulders above his fellow wookies, his presence dominated the group. Next him the diminutive and aged Jocasta Nu, smiled warmly though it didn’t reassure Airus like it had when she had lectured and taught him the halls of the library.
The conversation was brief... It ended in the deaths of three of Airus's fellow surviving Jedi... And the remaining four and himself to be pushed into service for the newly founded Argent Order, they had seen what disagreeing openly with the masters got you in their once eager comrades. Fearing for his friend's safety and his own chances at reuniting with his sister. However, his own skill in defending the others was to be commended... And his assignment to Master Kharm ensured his future as a Light Warden or to die trying to become one for the glory of Ashla and the Argent.

Though she certainly would have loved another shot at the droids, people mattered more.

But from the start it had to be done, he would not falter in seeing it done. Airus and Master Wrewn Kharm had been assigned to look into Old Republic vessels that had been disabled or lost years ago. Many such vessels had simply worn down or been damaged and their usable components scrounged by generations of scrappers. So on the frontier world Garel, Airus and Master Kharm searched for the wreckage of an old Republic hammerhead class cruiser Galant Night. The ship had been in service since the New Sith Wars at least and with its cortosis hull if it could be repaired would bolster the Argent order’s ability to move through the galaxy.
Airus and several droids got to work on repairing the ship while Master Kharm investigated structural damage and evaluated the hold and armory of the vessel while he worked. While repairing the vessel's communication hub he found interesting recordings dating well back six hundred years. What Airus discovered in the communication hub would shake him to his core... And bring the wrath of Kharm the harm down upon himself.
The battle lasted nearly two hours before Airus managed to throw the massive wookie Jedi off of the ship and launch it into orbit. Leaving him far behind... And for the first time ever, giving Airus a choice in where to go. However knowing the Argent would not tolerate his actions even for how valuable he’d become he set a course towards Mandalorian space, said a prayer to any god that would listen, and engaged the reserve hyperdrive.
Airus would use the time in transit to lock down the data he had secured in multiple languages. Also finally seeing what Master Kharm had been looking into in the armory, finding even more of a shock in the armory. Airus attempted to bandage himself and heal the worst of his wounds... Before collapsing to sleep to the warm thrum of a hyperdrive.
Airus would meet the infamous mercenary Elam, while on the run together from Kharm the harm. The pair would eventually make it to Mandalore, with great difficulty and a lot of violence. Expecting the worst of it to be over... Before the former Jedi Knight found himself in a holding cell, interrogated over and over again by Mandalorians and Jedi alike. Over why he was here and what he was doing and who he was working for. Time and time again Airus answered the questions reeling from it all still.
It was nearly two weeks of that before he was finally able to show the information he had obtained. It was after this meeting he had a conversation with Mandalore. Airus gained protected status by the Mandalore's order and was knighted by Qui Gon Jinn himself, mostly as an insult to the Argent. Airus was offered a chance to join the Order on Mandalore... However, he saw his home devastated and damaged, he decided he would go home to aid his fellow Coruscanti.
Airus's return and defection from the monolithic order that was the Argent was news. To leave the Argent and openly operate was unheard of. She rushed to Mandalore as fast as she could. Airus and Varina would be reunited and Airus, ever grateful to the Mandalore and Jedi Order there, decided to return to Core worlds, his home to stay with his sister. This was also a practical decision as few Jedi wanted an Argent among them... Even if he was unwilling. Airus's story was kept as quiet as possible to prevent the Argent and others from wondering what exactly he had given to the Mandalore.

Airus took to Judicial service like a fish to water. Airus's early work would bring him into the roughest neighborhoods and after dangerous scum. Starting with traffickers and slavers, Airus particularly targeted Hutt operations to bring slaves from Core worlds to outer rim planets to work. Varina and Airus would eventually be assigned to cases taking them beyond Alsakan space, often tracking reports of kidnapped individuals. While outside their jurisdiction locating these individuals and the slave work camps was not beyond them and once done... Such places would be dismantled suddenly by other individuals or by random happenstance while Airus and Varina were corroborated to be elsewhere at the time. Either way citizens of Alsakan came home and reunited with loved ones. It was during one of these cases Airus would use his good relations with the Mandalorians to assist a young woman and her impressive if disturbingly vocal droid.
Varina with her brother back began to paint, build, and even construct sabers again. She transferred to act as her brother's partner and the duo quickly became one of the best teams in Alsakan. Airus's impressive knowledge and force abilities with Varina's streetwise know-how and people skills made them a force for change in the sector.
Their first big case that brought the duo to the attention of the chief was of course against a Hutt, Grakkus. Grakkus the Hutt had arrived in Alsakan with his agents and enough bribes to the CIS to have them turn a blind eye. Fascinated with the Jedi and now seeing their home reduced to rubble, Garkkus set out to build himself a palace in orbit around Coruscant. He was well known as the representative of the Hutts in Alsakani space and his influence was used to kidnap and extort the many homeless peoples of the inner rim.
Airus and Varina would investigate with Varina focusing on low level smugglers and slavers. While Airus infiltrated Grakkus's space station palace, offering the Hutt a chance at a living Jedi to unlock his collection of artifacts. When Grakkus made his move and imprisoned Airus he would use the collection to educate himself further without Grakkus's knowledge. Even crafting a recording device he hid within his cell to capture evidence.
When Airus made his move when Grakkus was preparing to clean house and deal with the Judicials who were on to him. Breaking the lights with the force, Airus deftly disarmed and disabled the Gamoran guards in the dark. Recovering his lightsabers the knight would make his way after Grakkus, on to find the cyborg Hutt and his elite guards on the bridge. Varina having felt the mental pull from her sibling he brought a squadron of Judicials to bear on Hutts personal cruiser.
Airus battling across the bridge threw his saber towards Grakkus who disabled with a Cortosis gauntlet. Feeling the Jedi attempting to pull it back he knew Hutts were immune to force manipulation... And so swallowed the saber.
As the Judicials boarded the disabled cruiser. Airus and Grakkus reached a fever pitch... Varina's timely arrival and sensing the saber she made for her brother and seeing he had lost it. Her instinct was to pull it and when it didn’t come, activate then pull it... Cleaving a hole through the Hutts gut as the saber shot to her hand. Arrests and backup requested saw the dissolution of Gaaruk's criminal empire and ten of thousands of individuals returned to the Alsakan space.
Varina would help set up charitable groups and private interests with ways to remove and employ thousands from Coruscant throughout Alsakani space. Airus for his part would go on to pursue the remaining parts of Grakkus's empire which eventually saw him duel the ancient and powerful Beldorion. A fallen Hutt Jedi who had aided Grakkus in exchange for dark artifacts that Grakkus had no interest in.
While Airus worked mostly within the confines and spirit of the law. Varina often worked around the word of it... Which led to a disparity of rank between the siblings. Varina was often demoted and promoted just as often while Airus rose in rank... Though with no one else willing to work with her, Airus stuck by his sister's side even as hopscotched through the ranks of the Judicials.

| {Physical Abilities} |Archivist and Archeologist: Trained by Jocastu Nu, Airus is the rare breed of younger Jedi with the knowledge and ability to maintain, build, and curate the data stacks the Jedi Order is known for within temples. While the Alsakan Judicial Branch has many Jedi who can patrol and serve but few who can provide more critical services. Airus and skeleton staff lorekeepers have been tasked with the enormous job of filing and securing all of the data and holocrons they can salvage from Coruscant, other locations, and recover from black market sales. Airus was also given access to Jocasta Nu's holocron which contains the knowledge she wished her successor to have, as such. Airus is considered a wealth of information and while he may not remember exactly what they need at a given time he usually can find something relevant and useful quickly enough to help.
The Last Battle Master's Chosen: The Jedi Order had many great duelists and lightsaber combatants. Mace Windu, Dooku, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, all of them however considered one man their friend, equal, and at some point another sparring partner, however, not one of them was a better teacher than Cin Drallig Battle Master and commander of the Temple Guard. Brought up in the Jedi crèche Airus was allowed to forgo form I training for form III instead by Cin Drallig after the child delivered him explanation on why Jedi should focus on protection over attack. Airus grew to become one of the most capable in practitioner in Soresu over the years, the clone wars quickly sharpening those skills. Adding Form V to skills during the clone wars and developing to near completion under the Argent before finally proving himself during his flight.
Alsakani Jedi: Keeping the peace is more so about solving practical problems rather than esoteric mystery's of the force. As such Jedi who live and work with the Judaical branch focusing more so on non-lethal duties and public service. He focused on trying to learn things that would serve him well throughout life rather than focus on combat skills and things to substitute his lightsaber skill. Taking to things that would serve him and those he cared about well in the field or help him fulfill his duties in the temple better. Taking a Sentinel like approach he asked himself what is practical and not what is powerful. Airus see's the force as something to helping him serve, not as a weapon. The Jedi is the tool the force merely the medium they depend on to get there. With investigation and critical thinking becoming the backbone of the Jedi serving Judicials.
Veteran of two wars: Airus led clones and militia's against the CIS as well fought them himself, from Outer Rim to the defense of the Inner Rim. As such his combat experience was forged in warfare against the Dark Acolytes, droids, and more. Airus's experience in the clone wars had tempered him into a capable leader and decisive leader. This would be further showcased when Airus led squads of judicials against the creatures made by the Arkanian rebels. Airus would be twice decorated and promoted during putting down the rebellion. This time spent in the field combined with study has made him fluent in nearly three dozen languages, reading many more.
Alsakani Jedi patrol pilot: Skilled in bringing the firepower and speed of an T-65 to bear or maneuvering The Blind Luck while coordinating judicial patrol craft. He is by no means an ace but a strong force sensitivity and years of flying craft have given him at enough skill to avoid his foes and strike back.
The Anaxes Connections: The Vel Aath family have been serving in the Republic and attending the war college as long as the republic navy has had a war college on Anaxes. While Airus hails from the Coruscanti branch his relatives on Anaxes have welcomed him with open arms... And grand public relations. With the Vel Aath family currently holding position of Senator from the historically military bound planet and Airus is now a ranking member of the Judicials with accolades to his name and the Chiefs favor Airus wonders where their influence ends. Though the families long service record and unblemished dedication to the Republic have made them friends to both the Mandalorian's and Corellian's with both interested in courting the martial culture of Anaxes.
Secret novelist: Airus writes several romance book series under a pen name... It is almost unknown to the galaxy as a whole and he prefers it stay that way. The books are best sellers throughout the different regions and Airus fears what would happen if his fan base found out a Jedi wrote these... Or his co-workers and friends teasing should they learn of it.

| {Limitations} |Hyper fixation: Airus has an issue with letting things go, mysteries and puzzles are things he has to crack. From deciphering languages to solving riddles a compulsion of sorts to understand and learn about all things. Airus has trouble avoiding this even when it's in his best interest.
Argent Escapee: Airus is one of the very small number of individuals to ever leave the Argent Order and continue to live, mostly thanks to the protections his position, relatives, and the Mandalorian's afforded him after his escape with critical and damning information on the Argent and what they attempted to do. As such the Argent would love nothing more than to kill Airus and would take any excuse to bring him back or terminate him depending on what is most convenient.
Miraluka: Born without eyes, Airus can only see through the use of the force and when cut off from it by himself, by force, drugs, or other means. Without the force Airus must depend on hearing and touch alone to navigate, he has learned somewhat how to navigate without the force but is still far less graceful without the force to aid him.
Compassionate to a fault: Airus is one of the kindest people you will ever meet, his natural empathy and kindness towards others has made him into someone people from outside the order find approachable. While many would say Airus shows almost to much kindness, the truth is that he feels the need to improves others lives by doing anything he can. Believing that Jedi are more meant to pursue a better universe through all means fighting, charity, goodwill, or just simple acts of benevolence. This has also led Airus to develop a very strict practice of putting people first, the force is not used to rule over or command others.
| {Personality} |Airus is one of the more traditional knights, still having some of the traditional beliefs and ideals of the Jedi with a more modern teaching intermingling in his world view. His time under Master Drallig shaped his view on lightsaber combat and his later years serving under Master Nu. He found an understanding of more modern teachings and that the old ways while useful are not always the best ways. Flourishing as a student of knowledge and reveling in lightsaber combat, Airus did receive advanced training Light Warden training from another Jedi Master.
Airus prepares for combat and expects violence against him but never raises his fist first, taking any step he can to avoid fighting. Airus gives freely of his medical talents, force skills, and time to anyone who needs the assistance. However, the Jedi Consular can be devious having picked up a gambling as a pass time and is rather successful. Kindly, compassionate, and deviously clever Airus is strange but interesting Jedi Knight.

| {Appearance} |Varina is a tall and slender framed young woman with usually dressed in simple clothes or robes if in the comfort of home. Unlike many Jedi and Zeltron Varina cares little for appearances. Her face wears a near constant grin and her smile can seem almost infectious. Carefree and at her happiest when she has others to indulge or be indulged by others. Varina lives her life to spread joy and kindness where she can. Her red hair and pinkish skin a dead give away of her heritage, grey eyes the flicker with specs of blue. Varina's limber and flexible with less bulky muscle than her brother, assisting in her more wild and daring maneuvers.
Standing at just under six foot three inches, Varina's possess Zeltron pheromones which when active make the air around her smell faintly of daisies and lavender. Her movements are often erratic and bouncy when entering battle she depends completely on the force to influence her style and movements as Shii-Cho is raw, emotional, and difficult to temper something Varina identifies with well.

| {Physical Abilities} |Jedi Artisan, Alsakani Armorer: A unique skillset focuses on the crafting and styling of lightsabers, Varina is one of the few who can not only build a saber but create crystals for it through infusion of the force or carefully craft artificial crystals. As such Varina helps arm the youngest among them and teaches the creation of sabers... However Varina's artisan skills extend to blasters, armor, ships, and droids where he passion is mostly. She paints and draws in her free time however, being colorblind Varina often makes wild color choices and choses to imagine things are far more vibrant than they are. Varina's masterful weapons crafting and customizing skills have made her important to arming and equipping Alsakani Judicials in the field. While most don't choose to work with Varina they will never deny an op where she provides the gun.
Reckless Ace: Varina has flown in two wars, while she now focuses on patrols her skills are kept sharp by pirates and criminal enterprises. Few can match an experienced Jedi behind the cockpit with the force as a guide and an itchy trigger finger Varina's flying style can be as reckless as her battle on the ground. However, it does often bring her back alive as few prepare for sheer reckless and out of pocket maneuvers that would be ill advised to attempt at all let alone under fire.
Force Guided: Varina strongly trusts in the force using it as a guide for whatever comes her way viewing the force as having a will of it's own and taking that to mean she will end up where she is needed and do what she must. Her strong force sense abilities to assist and predict her enemies as well as keep herself truly unreadable. As such whenever she unable to tap into the force it distresses and destroys her confidence in her own abilities in battle. She is also strongly behind the belief that while not always Jedi are important to protecting people and that they serve, not rule.
Zeltron Charisma: Varina is a charming young woman with strong empath abilities and Zeltron pheromones to back it up, as she in a pinch she can readily convince people and talk down folks combining her gifts. With practice in picking her words and being able to read a room and choose how best to approach someone. Whether it be talking down an assailant or chatting with Alsakani nobles Varina can find common ground and make the best of conversations with those around her.
Gifted painter: Varina's paintings are not always great but her skill and renown has gotten some of her works hung in galleries from Alsakan to Corellia, even one painting of Coruscant city skyline before and after the attack was hung on Mandalore. Varina has even done portraits for notable people, she is always seeking her next muse.
Guerilla Warfare Expert: Varina has become an expert on how to wage a war in asymmetric conflict and since the CIS made Alsakan a puppet state there have been whispers of rebellions. Varina has been arming, training, an assisting where she can since it all began. She paints the symbol of House Marek to remind the people what they fight for and who fought for them. She has become a contact point for many such groups for arms and armor, more importantly information of CIS movements within Alsakani space. This kept fairly hidden from most but Varina hopes to one day be able to where the symbol she paints so often proudly herself.

| {Limitations} |Colorblind: Varina cannot see any form of color as such has trouble distinguishing people without use of the force. This also led to her not being aware of certain colors and designs, coming up with her own to help alleviate that. This is due to having a Miraluka parent as such her eyes are under developed not being able to process color.
Independent Streak: Varina has never played well with orders or superiors, she has always put people first. When ordered to deal with crime she focused on arresting criminal and building systems in place afterwards to prevent a power vacuum. This has cost her promotions, awards, and most of relationships with her co-workers. She is a great person but radioactive to those looking to make a career few choose to stick her long term.
Co-Dependent: Varina lost her purpose and retreated into herself when she lost everything at Coruscant, she'll fight tooth and nail to keep Airus safe. She'll go to any length to keep herself from being alone again, this has led to her keeping an eye on and taking a more active role in her brothers life. Though she disguises it as picking on him or bothering him, she deeply cares and admires how far Airus has come from the children they once were.
| {Personality} |A capable if bullheaded young woman with a strong sense of duty and stronger belief in the force. Stubborn as she is confident Varina has defied orders but shown impressive results time and time again. She and Airus in battle she can read and move perfectly in sync with one another. Have been able to since they were students, since they took to working together in Alsakan they have become even further linked.
Varina is outwardly a happy go lucky as inside she calculates and thinks through everything but focuses on coming off as disarmingly nice and kindly. Preferring to be thought naïve and not as intelligent, perfectly capable of changing that she does not as to ensure people underestimate her. Reckless in battle and in space craft, she if far more focused however when working in the forge and very careful with anything she builds. Varina can be a bit scatterbrained and unfocused without something to help center and focus her, usually Airus assists in that regard or failing that she can focus on a lightsaber or certain task to try keep her thoughts from wandering and her emotions from flowing out.

Originally from Anaxes, the family has a long history of service dating back to the Great Hyperspace wars as both officers and Jedi. The twins Miralukan mother, Captain Velmira Vel Aath, was born into the family's Coruscant branch while his father Evra Revlad was a Republic starship engineer and designer who worked for a multitude of companies. Incom and Mandal Motors being his biggest claims to fame.
Aieua and Varina were discovered at a very early age to be force sensitive with powerful empathic abilities, as the family had done for generations both were turned over to the Jedi. With the galaxy becoming more dangerous every day and both parents busier than ever, they felt it was better for the children to be somewhere they could be attended to. Especially after Evra's death in the early clone wars by a CIS bombing plot. Velmira devotes herself now even further to ending the war, fearing her kids would be made to fight it if she did not.
Airus and Varina were raised with little knowledge of their family save from references in temple texts and history files. With Varina showing a natural talent for the Shii-Cho and excelling quickly in the form. Airus meanwhile refused the form from an early age citing that Jedi strove to defend in an age of blaster fire, what use was a form that did not excel in defending from a withering hail of incoming blaster bolts. This would escalate until the temple Battlemaster Cin Drallig would get involved. Amused at the child's ability to reason at such a young age Airus was pulled from normal saber classes and taught directly in Soresu by Cin Drallig.
Airus grew quickly as a saber combatant and student of the library. While Varina turned her connection in the force towards science and art while building her abilities in the force concert with her own natural gifts. Both would with each other build upon their natural empath abilities they had shown. When it came time for Padawan selection both twins Felanil Baaks took on Varina, the Duros delighted to have a future Artisan, a skill becoming rarer in the order. While Airus was specially requested to become Cin Drallig's Padawan. Both accepted at the young age of thirteen and pushed to serve as commanders of the Republic army.
Varina grew rapidly as took up piloting and her master's skill in form zero, the art of nonviolent intervention. Her force abilities flourished as she learned of unique materials, places, crystals, and more that could be used to alter and prepare a lightsaber for a person. She also learned of the technique for turning more common crystals into usable ones and making synthetic ones should she ever be denied the ability to make a trip to crystal caverns. She campaigned through the clone wars as a pilot and insurgent leader helping to arm and train the populations to resist the occupying droid army.
Airus found himself now much prominently placed in the order. With dreams of serving as a Battlemaster, but his truly impressive talent for the force and moreover Lorekeepers duties. The council of first knowledge regularly requested Airus for missions as Cin Drallig's duty kept him from leaving the temple often he was regularly sent alone or with clone trooper accompaniment to the field.
Airus faced off and escaped dark acolytes as without a master for guidance they focused on pillaging and stealing whatever they could from the Jedi to learn more. Other missions were often part of small fleets and flotilla of supply ships reinforcing fronts or local system armies. He did see major combat as a commander on Geonosis at the start of war and later was assigned along with clone troopers to clear the tunnels with flamethrowers equipped clone troopers.
Sent to Ryloth to deliver aid and alongside Varina the siblings worked to help the locals train and equip themselves for combat against the CIS. Varina and Republic fighter squadrons providing air support. Airus meanwhile spent his time helping integrate clone and militia forces to improve combat effectiveness and learned about the Twi'lek's from Cham Syndulla. Airus and Varina would help make the Twi'lek's an effective fighting force but be reassigned before the campaign saw its conclusion.
Arriving on Kamino with Varina and other Jedi in time for the second CIS assault. Airus was part of the counter offensive leading two Clone Commando units to attack a Lucrehulk forming the backbone of the protective blockade on the planet. Successfully disabling the command sphere from the wider rings guns. Airus and the commandos were able to weaken the CIS for Republic fleet assault to recapture orbital control.
Mimban was his last active warzone while Varina was assigned to Ondoron to assist the partisans. Airus would meanwhile be assigned to Mudjumpers, a unit of jump pack troopers who specialized in drop assault, aerial combat, and frontline blitz assaults. The trench warfare on Mimban was horrendous and lasted nearly two years of the war. Facing far more dangerous droids and Deathwatch fanatics, Airus was instrumental in defeating them, especially in night time trench raids and tunnel fights.
By the end of the war as CIS's power loomed, Airus was sent after Jedi, Sith, and other artifacts. Hunting information and data as well as assisting with backing up data from the great library. While Varina found herself regularly joining defense fleets to supervise new fighter squadrons or training resistance groups with a handful of clones. A far cry from the grand army they had once been commanding.
Airus would be wounded against the dark acolyte Severance Tan and sent to a Jedi medical corps ship. While Varina would be stationed at Anaxes to give a commencement address to that year's graduating officers. The fall of Coruscant was something both siblings felt reverberated through them. Airus broke down as he felt the death of his master.
Lost and Damned:
Airus, having been originally meant to be knighted upon his return to Coruscant, became the unofficial leader among the medical corps personnel and clone troopers with them. Airus focused on trying to contact and establish communications with Jedi or Republic forces. The medical ship's convoy was an easy target for anyone desperate or cowardly enough to try it. They had a wing of Arc-170's and V-Wings for protection. The convoy picked up any desperate republic survivors and Jedi as they moved from the outer rim back towards the Core worlds. However, it was during this time they received transmissions from surviving Republic and Jedi forces. Airus was nearly broken when he heard the reports from Coruscant but for the sake of others he held it together, just. They heard stories of the Republic in exile and rumors of Alsakan giving refugees a place to go as they plugged along the smaller hyperlanes, their growing convoy of second rate vessels and civilians eating through supplies and time as they traveled.
When an offer came from a group, former Jedi... Calling themselves the Argent Order to meet a remote planet. Though the offer was extended only to the Jedi, some were willing others concerned over the claims this new order made... And if joining would violate their vows already existing. Openly Airus agreed, he would take the Jedi who were interested and see what this Argent Order wanted of them. Airus and seven fellow padawans traveled to meet the Argent face to face on an aging and battered diplomatic vessel, secretly however Airus had instructed his two astromech droids to jump the convoy onwards and quickly towards Mandalore. The closest system they might yet receive help from. It was his inherent distrust towards anyone claiming to know better than anyone that saw his people safely reach Mandalore... Also doomed him to service.
Upon arrival Airus found only two Jedi present, both were masters. Wrewn Kharm, known as Kharm the harm among the temple Jedi having only trained one padawan into a knight... All his others had died trying, even before the war the number was well into the double digits. A pale furred wookie with silver tufts showing his advanced age though he stood head and shoulders above his fellow wookies, his presence dominated the group. Next him the diminutive and aged Jocasta Nu, smiled warmly though it didn’t reassure Airus like it had when she had lectured and taught him the halls of the library.
The conversation was brief... It ended in the deaths of three of Airus's fellow surviving Jedi... And the remaining four and himself to be pushed into service for the newly founded Argent Order, they had seen what disagreeing openly with the masters got you in their once eager comrades. Fearing for his friend's safety and his own chances at seeing his sister once again, Airus' own skill in defending the others was to be commended... And his assignment to Master Kharm ensured his future as a Light Warden... Or to die trying to become one for the glory of Ashla and the Argent.
While Airus struggled and scrounged, Varina had found herself alone and for the first time directionless. Without Airus to counsel her, a master to question, or her fellow Jedi to depend on... She did the only thing she could think of, she helped people. Disturbing food, medicine, and supplies. Helping smugglers and refugees escape the coming hammer of the CIS’s fleets or survive under occupation. Varina as a Jedi also found herself an outlaw, living with those beyond CIS’s reach or in the shadows they refused to venture into. At least until the Alsakani took some control of the situation, Varina and other Jedi like her found themselves slowly able to merge into more open roles without CIS reprisal due to legal loopholes. Though she certainly would have loved another shot at the droids, people mattered more.
Varina Vel Aath would become part of the Alsakani policing forces, taking on a role as strike force member. Hitting hard targets like crime lords and slavers attempting to profit from the crisis. Varina would become one of the first Jedi judicials in Alsakan. Varina’s career saw marked drops in crime in areas she was assigned as well as increased community outreach. Her presence brought smiles and warmth to where she worked and fear to criminals she dealt with.
However as her work with Alsakan grew ever more impressive her talent for art and weapon making dwindled. It seemed as though without her brother or directing current in her life the spark that brought Varina to adventure and growth had withered and with it her drive as a creator. Varina would be promoted several times and find herself up for a chance getting her unit to supervise. She found no happiness or joy in her day, only a sense of duty and purpose she could scarcely abandon as it kept her moving.
Five years Airus struggled against his new brutal master, five years Varina focused on the good of others neglecting herself at all expenses. Airus having to contain and hide his emotions, his goal of escaping the Argent and denouncing them. Varina burying herself insularly, denying her own gifts as empath for fear of letting anyone in again would just lead to more pain.
Flight of Galant Night
Airus’s escape from the Argent Order was not... As planned. In fact one might say it was a journey of great danger and even greater luck on the part of the Miralukan Jedi. But from the start it had to be done, he would not falter in seeing it done. Airus and Master Wrewn Kharm had been assigned to look into Old Republic vessels that had been disabled or lost years ago. Many such vessels had simply worn down or been damaged and their usable components scrounged by generations of scrappers. So on the frontier world Garel, Airus and Master Kharm searched for the wreckage of an old Republic hammerhead class cruiser Galant Night. The ship had been in service since the New Sith Wars at least and with its cortosis hull if it could be repaired would bolster the Argent order’s ability to move through the galaxy.
Airus and several droids got to work on repairing the ship while Master Kharm investigated structural damage and evaluated the hold and armory of the vessel while he worked. While repairing the vessel's communication hub he found interesting recordings dating well back six hundred years. What Airus discovered in the communication hub would shake him to his core... And bring the wrath of Kharm the harm down upon himself.
The battle lasted nearly two hours before Airus managed to throw the massive wookie Jedi off of the ship and launch it into orbit. Leaving him far behind... And for the first time ever, giving Airus a choice in where to go. However knowing the Argent would not tolerate his actions even for how valuable he’d become he set a course towards Mandalorian space, said a prayer to any god that would listen, and engaged the reserve hyperdrive.
Airus would use the time in transit to lock down the data he had secured in multiple languages. Also finally seeing what Master Kharm had been looking into in the armory, finding even more of a shock in the armory. Airus attempted to bandage himself and heal the worst of his wounds... Before collapsing to sleep to the warm thrum of a hyperdrive.
Airus would meet the infamous mercenary Elam, while on the run together from Kharm the harm. The pair would eventually make it to Mandalore, with great difficulty and a lot of violence. Expecting the worst of it to be over... Before the former Jedi Knight found himself in a holding cell, interrogated over and over again by Mandalorians and Jedi alike. Over why he was here and what he was doing and who he was working for. Time and time again Airus answered the questions reeling from it all still.
It was nearly two weeks of that before he was finally able to show the information he had obtained. It was after this meeting he had a conversation with Mandalore. Airus gained protected status by the Mandalore's order and was knighted by Qui Gon Jinn himself, mostly as an insult to the Argent.
Airus's return and defection from the monolithic order that was the Argent was news. To leave the Argent and openly operate was unheard of. She rushed to Mandalore as fast as she could. Airus and Varina would be reunited and Airus, ever grateful to the Mandalore and Jedi Order there, decided to return to Core worlds, his home to stay with his sister. This was also a practical decision as few Jedi wanted an Argent among them... Even if he was unwilling. Airus's story was kept as quiet as possible to prevent the Argent and others from wondering what exactly he had given to the Mandalore.
Protect and serve
Airus took to Judicial service like a fish to water. Airus's early work would bring him into the roughest neighborhoods and after dangerous scum. Starting with traffickers and slavers, Airus particularly targeted Hutt operations to bring slaves from Core worlds to outer rim planets to work. His work and skill saw him rise from the prejudice of having been in Argent to a trusted officer.
Varina and Airus would eventually be assigned to cases taking them beyond Alsakan space, often tracking reports of kidnapped individuals. While outside their jurisdiction locating these individuals and the slave work camps was not beyond them and once done... Such places would be dismantled suddenly by other individuals or by random happenstance while Airus and Varina were corroborated to be elsewhere at the time. Either way citizens of Alsakan came home and reunited with loved ones. It was during one of these cases Airus would use his good relations with the Mandalorians to assist a young woman and her impressive if disturbingly vocal droid.
Varina with her brother back began to paint, build, and even construct sabers again. She transferred to act as her brother's partner and the duo quickly became one of the best teams in Alsakan. Airus's impressive knowledge and force abilities with Varina's streetwise know-how and people skills made them a force for change in the sector.
Their first big case that brought the duo to the attention of the chief was of course against a Hutt, Grakkus. Grakkus the Hutt had arrived in Alsakan with his agents and enough bribes to the CIS to have them turn a blind eye. Fascinated with the Jedi and now seeing their home reduced to rubble, Garkkus set out to build himself a palace in orbit around Coruscant. He was well known as the representative of the Hutts in Alsakani space and his influence was used to kidnap and extort the many homeless peoples of the inner rim.
Airus and Varina would investigate with Varina focusing on low level smugglers and slavers. While Airus infiltrated Grakkus's space station palace, offering the Hutt a chance at a living Jedi to unlock his collection of artifacts. When Grakkus made his move and imprisoned Airus he would use the collection to educate himself further without Grakkus's knowledge. Even crafting a recording device he hid within his cell to capture evidence.
When Airus made his move when Grakkus was preparing to clean house and deal with the Judicials who were on to him. Breaking the lights with the force, Airus deftly disarmed and disabled the Gamoran guards in the dark. Recovering his lightsabers the knight would make his way after Grakkus, on to find the cyborg Hutt and his elite guards on the bridge. Varina having felt the mental pull from her sibling he brought a squadron of Judicials to bear on Hutts personal cruiser.
Airus battling across the bridge threw his saber towards Grakkus who disabled with a Cortosis gauntlet. Feeling the Jedi attempting to pull it back he knew Hutts were immune to force manipulation... And so swallowed the saber.
As the Judicials boarded the disabled cruiser. Airus and Grakkus reached a fever pitch... Varina's timely arrival and sensing the saber she made for her brother and seeing he had lost it. Her instinct was to pull it and when it didn’t come, activate then pull it... Cleaving a hole through the Hutts gut as the saber shot to her hand. Arrests and backup requested saw the dissolution of Gaaruk's criminal empire and ten of thousands of individuals returned to the Alsakan space.
Varina would help set up charitable groups and private interests with ways to remove and employ thousands from Coruscant throughout Alsakani space. Airus for his part would go on to pursue the remaining parts of Grakkus's empire which eventually saw him duel the ancient and powerful Beldorion. A fallen Hutt Jedi who had aided Grakkus in exchange for dark artifacts that Grakkus had no interest in.
While Airus worked mostly within the confines and spirit of the law. Varina often worked around the word of it... Which led to a disparity of rank between the siblings. Varina was often demoted and promoted just as often while Airus rose in rank... Though with no one else willing to work with her, Airus stuck by his sister's side even as hopscotched through the ranks of the Judicials.
Cases came and went, ranging from dealing with dark sider cults to rogue Jedi Airus found himself more specialized towards these incidents. Rather than the everyday crimes most went after.
However before it was all over, the twins would be called to serve in the second Arkanian revolution. First on the side of the rebels and later for the loyalists, while Varina spent most of the campaign training and supporting forces, Airus was time and time sent with other veterans into the darkness hunting the monsters the war had unleashed in the darkness of the tunnels and caves. Airus would prove a thorn in the side of his enemies, earning the title unbroken. From the worst biological monsters a genius might concoct to the technological terrors their rebel counterparts would unleash. Airus, able to quickly and quietly, was often tasked with attacking not the beasts themselves but their creation and distribution centers. It was during this time forced to be more offensive in battle and his skills were tested to their upper limits not only with a saber but the force as well. Finally during the end of the war when they were making their push on rebel leadership Airus and Varina would earn the title the Lion and Lioness of Alsakan.
Airus was incharge of holding the corridor the leadership of the rebellion would use to escape. Monstrous beast after technological abomination poured out. Alsakani forces and loyalist troops cracking left and right. At the center was Airus, desperately yelling orders and slashing through one monster before leaping onto the next his sabers, a flurry of violence returning blaster bolts striking down foes. As his positions became more overrun with the rebel leaders desperately hoping to crack the corridor and make their escape. Though her orders were to bomb and strafe the bunker, Varina felt Airus... And broke away from her squadron. Diving again and again inside of their anti-air she strafed along the enemy forces with laser cannons, she unleashed proton torpedoes, eventually even crashing her fighter directly into them when she was out of ammo. Back to back Airus and Varina defeated the enemy push and surged into the enemy command. The pair were responsible for the arrest of nearly a dozen of the ring leaders themselves.
Responsible for dismantling Hutt trafficking, serving valiantly in a long standing conflict, and recovering artifacts from the old order to a degree that eventually a new wing would be established. The Jedi Library on Alsakan was no temple, they made that clear to the CIS however its knowledge and teachings were open to the public. Only force sensitive and dangerous objects were kept away from the general public. Alsakani Jedi population received a flood of information, books, data scripts, family histories, and more to add to their fledgling library. Airus being responsible for finding most of it helped pull together a team to curate and administer it, with the rest simply being former Jedi temple staff or Coruscant university faculty, most of them non-force sensitive. The Alsakani library lacked artifacts it made up for with the sheer determination of the population to support the now public library, especially the upper crust of Alsakan and higher education facilities.
With Airus now managing an entire department his responsibilities grew he had to as well. Guiding and directing new recruits as well as traveling into the galaxy to help locate and offer training to force sensitives as requested. Managing the library while helping expand it while also working outreach programs to the local universities about the Alsakani judicials and how they can help. Heading important high level investigations and crimes, even working with the King of Alsakan and his court when needed. His most important duty was that of outreach, Airus had an already existing relationship with the Mandalorians while he is no diplomat he is an important member of the Judicials, as such presence in meetings is usually there to lend his support to the ambassador's words.
Varina for her part has focused on associating herself with leadership and rank more so in with the people. As an armory sergeant for the Alsakani Judicials Varina Vel Aath specializes in guns, armor, droids, and ships. Her love of the arts extends well into creating and building unique objects, sabers are by far and away her favorite thing to build, though she has not finished her first master work. In truth one of the reasons she has kept herself from gaining too many responsibilities is that Varina quietly arms and trains CIS resistance groups. Building arms and armor for rebels, even helping tune starships or repairing old droids. While Airus is aware of this her brother mostly just passes her intel or occasionally helps in training, though that is few and far between.
Recently the twins have the trip to Mandalore not one of their usual training or goodwill trips, no, it’s an honest to Ashla vacation for the pair. Having recently been on Alaskan for Remembrance Day, dedicated to the trillion who died on Coruscant when it was burned. With Airus (against his will) speaking at a vigil held for the still missing and more than likely never to be found peoples of the once proud capital. Airus plans to meditate and train, maybe visit a few friends and old war buddies and even maybe see if Elam is still on world.

Electric Judgement:
Something that just seems to come naturally to him, Electric Judgement was actually the first force ability Toryn ever discovered; Accidentally. When someone was preparing to kill his adoptive brother. Since that fateful (and slightly crispy) day, Toryn's talent for occasionally cosplaying as a taser has evolved to the point where he can wreathe his own body with emerald— sometimes golden when he really wants to hurt someone— arcs of electricity and control it in outward bursts as if it were an extension of his own will; even able to arc it around people he doesn't want to harm to strike those that he does.
While the Enclaves were... naturally quite skeptical when they discovered he had such a talent after he arrived on Mandalore as a teenager. The support of his new Master, the approval of Mace Windu and some encouragement from Plo-Koon have kept him practicing and improving it even further.
Form VI Variant: Ramikad Niman
Toryn's own, nigh-heretical take on the so-called 'Diplomat's Form', fomented by his decade of hard experiences in the Unknown Regions with the input of not only from his original master who first taught him the form, but his adoptive brother and future sister-in-law— a former Death Watch trooper and Jedi Padawan, respectively— and his adoptive father, a Taung General and then further honed by over a decade in service to Mandalore. The end result? A versatile and incredibly lethal mixture of traditional saber combat, Mandalorian swordplay and opportunistic attacks with the force and his other more... direct armaments, blended together seamlessly through a lifetime of fighting and made all the more terrifying by Toryn's natural proclivity for Electric Judgement.

"What I do for a living... well, it ain't very conducive to a modelling career."
Standing at a decidedly unremarkable 5'8" and possessing neither the sheer mass of a bodybuilder or the gut of... someone more sedentary than he usually is, the only thing that ever usually makes Toryn stand out in a crowd on any given day is usually his signature bronze-coloured beskar'gam— of an older pattern, before the reforms and standardization of Mandalore the Uniter many centuries before he was even a twinkle in the dad he never met's eyes. Which he'll occasionally cover with a gam'surpan— literally; 'armour cover', a poncho-like garment of Taung origin— during those occasions where a Jedi would usually throw on a fancy, flow-y over-robe and almost never take off in public... save for his helmet when he's doing something like wolfing down a burger at Mando Joe's or getting a drink at the Lucky Lekku.
His family, his doctor and a very, very small circle of friends, however know that what Toryn lacks in size, he makes up for with sheer muscle density. With a body like carved beskar that could only come from living a very, very hard life and with the scars to prove it, too— burn scars up his right arm, marks from some kind of flogging implement across his back and the tell-tale jagged fissure of a Rodian deathblade across his chest, to name a few— interspersed and often crossing through now slightly-fading tattoos of a style that had gone out of fashion on Mandalore millennia ago. Both in their design, and the fact that they were put there by a mallet and chisel, each representing some milestone or action he'll probably never elaborate on and not there for pure aesthetics. Hell, not even his face has been spared from this carnage; with a spackling of what looks almost like shrapnel scars scattered around his left eye and cheek with some down to his chin and a trio of jagged claw marks cutting down through his brow, over a band of Mirialan tattoos that travel from one cheekbone to the other across the bridge of his nose and just past his lips. Relatively fresh when he'd arrived but now faded a bit over the past decade or so, they do portray an obvious story about how something large and unpleasant had managed to shatter his visor, and then immediately followed it up by trying to take his face off when the boy decided it was kinda hard to fight with your head in a bucket full of broken glass.
All this, combined with those sharp grey eyes of his, brown hair usually in a simple high-and-tight crew cut and a propensity to forget to shave sometimes have given Toryn a look that even he'd joke; "Only a Mando could love."

- Beskar'gam: An older— downright archaic, some would say— pattern of Beskar'gam Toryn picked up at some indeterminate point during his youth spent voyaging across the Unknown Regions. Resized to fit him as he grew and periodically updated over the years to include (among other things) an enhanced sensor and comms suite in the helmet to both track his prey and keep in contact with The Dog, a new vocabulator to help him with certain words in alien languages his human mouth is ill-equipped for and magnetic pads on the soles of his feet and sewn into the palms of his armourweave to make repairs in EVA just a little bit easier.
- Daggers: Three kals, one hanging off the back of his belt and two smaller ones hidden under his vambraces.
- Configurable Mandalorian vambraces: Usually equipped with a grapple-line on his right and a flamethrower on his left.
- Taung Dueling Pistol: An ancient blaster pistol of Taung design, made specifically for fighting other Mandalorians; Overcoming the strength of beskar armour with enough raw kinetic force to snap bone and hemorrhage organs... and is absolutely devastating when used on plastoid. Part of a set, his older brother having the other one.
- Lightsaber: Bearing a distinctive orange-red blade and a hilt made of beskar. Often does double-duty as an ad-hoc mace.
A downright ancient Dynamic-class freighter hauled out of a scrapyard on Terminus by Toryn's family when he was a boy, with most of the holes hastily patched up, an oversized powerplant aggressively rammed into place and a... creatively acquired Class 0.5 hyperdrive slapped in for good measure. The old girl has served as both his means of getting around and his home in the two decades or so since and has seen it's fair share of misadventures, tough scrapes and a whole helluva lot more close calls than it's designers had probably ever really intended it for, but it has always faithfully failed to let the Drals down even in their darkest of hours.
Probably why Toryn still refuses to part with it in favour of a more modern vessel to this day.

- A jury-rigged deployable hydroscoop on the bottom and slightly to the rear of the ship. Allowing Toryn to cheekily stock up on water by flying through a comet's tail if he really needs to.

- An old Pazaak deck Toryn found under his bed when his family first acquired the ship.
- The Thumper MK I— A pneumatically-powered, breech-loaded projectile launcher, built by Toryn when he was a boy. Heavy, a little underpowered, yet surprisingly versatile, it operates on a simple concept; There's a hole in the back. If you can fit it in there, you can fire it accurately up to a hundred meters away. Mostly just used to amuse his niece these days.
- The Thumper MK II— A more serious attempt at the original concept Toryn took on in his teenage years; a light weight, breech-loaded, break-action coilgun designed to launch grenades (or anything metal that will fit in the breech) up to seven hundred meters away with impressive accuracy.
- "The Answer"— The result of that time Solace commissioned Toryn to construct a pair of wheellock, revolver blasters for her. Namely, when he cast his gaze down upon the finished product, extremely potent, but extremely fragile and decided one thing— "It's not finished.". This led to a solid month of gathering materials for a far more rugged adaptation of a crystal primed blaster utilizing individual cartridges of tibanna gas for every shot. The end result? A straight pull bolt-action rifle fed via en bloc into a ten-round internal magazine, with a barrel made of beskar to keep the damned thing from melting and furniture made of wroshyr wood just in case it feels the sudden urge to explode in his face. And one hell of an anti-material rifle.
It should be noted, that though he's gotten more than his money's worth out of this particular fruit of Solace-given inspiration in the years since... he hasn't actually told her about it. Partly because he's not sure if she'd be offended by his misgivings about her original design and partly because one way or another, he'd never hear the end of it. - Tionese Boarding Gun— A crude and primitive cycler weapon, the TBG fires a scattering of energy sheathed projectiles in a cone of absolute fury with enough force to turn most sentients and some droids to mulch in the tight confines of a ship's corridors. The downside being that it has to be loaded and fed like a slugthrower... though with a capacity of six rounds in the tube, plus one in the chamber and the ability to just keep blasting with every pump so long as you're squeezing the trigger, that's often enough. Nevermind the bayonet lug.

Jetii'ramikad
An unusual, and rather informal colloquialism used to describe people like Toryn, roughly translated from Mando'a as "Jedi Commando", it means... well, almost exactly what it says on the tin— What happens when you mix a Jedi Knight with a Mandalorian Supercommando.
Immersed in both cultures from a young age and enduring two solid decades of brutal training and even harsher experiences has left Toryn with a very particular skill-set; As lethal with a blaster, kal or even his bare hands as he is with a lightsaber and the force and being extremely (some would say freakishly) physically and mentally tough to boot. It's no small wonder that the council usually reserves the armoured Jedi and those like him for a very certain kind of work.
Self-Sufficient
As a consequence of both his life before arriving on Mandalore and his career afterward, Toryn has— by sheer necessity— become remarkably self-sufficient. Intimately familiar with his gear, his ship and how best to effectively operate and keep both in working order as well as how to survive in the wider Galaxy on his lonesome for extended periods of time.
Expert Armourer
Starting as just a way to bond with his mum when he was still knee-high to a womprat— taking apart her blasters, scrubbing the scoring out of the chambers, realigning the focusing lenses and the like— the events of the next two decades of voyaging through the Unknown Regions and then becoming a Jedi Knight would only mould the boy's talent with his hands into a force all of it's own as he became a man.
Son of a Taung
Being raised by a legendary Taung General who made life particularly difficult for both the Old Republic and Jedi several thousand years ago has had it's subtle effects here and there on the man. Namely in his possession of a much sharper intellect than he ever really lets on and an immense talent for strategy and tactics that only ever really bubbles up to the surface while on the job and fades back into obscurity the moment it's done.
...Also, an extensive vocabulary of expletives and phrases that would sound old-fashioned or downright archaic to most other Mandalorians.
Polyglot
Having spent his early years on Nar Shaddaa and much the rest of his life among the stars, Toryn's picked up more than a few languages along the way. Speaking Huttese and Ryl just as easily as he would Basic or Mando'a and even being able to understand Lekku-Speak. Having a diplomat as his best friend has only helped this along further, allowing him to pick up conversational Shyriiwook and Dosh along the way (assisted by his helmet in speaking, of course) as well as High Galactic and several more... obscure dead languages. If only because he realized rather early on that if he was going to occasionally be sent headlong into ancient ruins from time to time to kill some big ol' spooky thing or save someone from some big ol' spooky thing, then it'd behoove him to be able to read any warning labels he might find within.
Can Cook
If you spent as much time as Toryn has in the Space Boonies, you'd learn how to make a meal out of damn near anything you could find, too.
Card Shark
Though he's not a gambling man, it is distinctly ill-advised to put money on a pazaak game when you're sitting across from Toryn.

Immersed in both cultures from a young age and enduring two solid decades of brutal training and even harsher experiences has left Toryn with a very particular skill-set; As lethal with a blaster, kal or even his bare hands as he is with a lightsaber and the force and being extremely (some would say freakishly) physically and mentally tough to boot. It's no small wonder that the council usually reserves the armoured Jedi and those like him for a very certain kind of work.
Self-Sufficient
As a consequence of both his life before arriving on Mandalore and his career afterward, Toryn has— by sheer necessity— become remarkably self-sufficient. Intimately familiar with his gear, his ship and how best to effectively operate and keep both in working order as well as how to survive in the wider Galaxy on his lonesome for extended periods of time.
Expert Armourer
Starting as just a way to bond with his mum when he was still knee-high to a womprat— taking apart her blasters, scrubbing the scoring out of the chambers, realigning the focusing lenses and the like— the events of the next two decades of voyaging through the Unknown Regions and then becoming a Jedi Knight would only mould the boy's talent with his hands into a force all of it's own as he became a man.
Son of a Taung
Being raised by a legendary Taung General who made life particularly difficult for both the Old Republic and Jedi several thousand years ago has had it's subtle effects here and there on the man. Namely in his possession of a much sharper intellect than he ever really lets on and an immense talent for strategy and tactics that only ever really bubbles up to the surface while on the job and fades back into obscurity the moment it's done.
...Also, an extensive vocabulary of expletives and phrases that would sound old-fashioned or downright archaic to most other Mandalorians.
Polyglot
Having spent his early years on Nar Shaddaa and much the rest of his life among the stars, Toryn's picked up more than a few languages along the way. Speaking Huttese and Ryl just as easily as he would Basic or Mando'a and even being able to understand Lekku-Speak. Having a diplomat as his best friend has only helped this along further, allowing him to pick up conversational Shyriiwook and Dosh along the way (assisted by his helmet in speaking, of course) as well as High Galactic and several more... obscure dead languages. If only because he realized rather early on that if he was going to occasionally be sent headlong into ancient ruins from time to time to kill some big ol' spooky thing or save someone from some big ol' spooky thing, then it'd behoove him to be able to read any warning labels he might find within.

Electric Judgement:
Something that just seems to come naturally to him, Electric Judgement was actually the first force ability Toryn ever discovered; Accidentally. When someone was preparing to kill his adoptive brother. Since that fateful (and slightly crispy) day, Toryn's talent for occasionally cosplaying as a taser has evolved to the point where he can wreathe his own body with emerald— sometimes golden when he really wants to hurt someone— arcs of electricity and control it in outward bursts as if it were an extension of his own will; even able to arc it around people he doesn't want to harm to strike those that he does.
While the Enclaves were... naturally quite skeptical when they discovered he had such a talent after he arrived on Mandalore as a teenager. The support of his new Master, the approval of Mace Windu and some encouragement from Plo-Koon have kept him practicing and improving it even further.
Form VI Variant: Ramikad Niman
Toryn's own, nigh-heretical take on the so-called 'Diplomat's Form', fomented by his decade of hard experiences in the Unknown Regions with the input of not only from his original master who first taught him the form, but his adoptive brother and future sister-in-law— a former Death Watch trooper and Jedi Padawan, respectively— and his adoptive father, a Taung General and then further honed by over a decade in service to Mandalore. The end result? A versatile and incredibly lethal mixture of traditional saber combat, Mandalorian swordplay and opportunistic attacks with the force and his other more... direct armaments, blended together seamlessly through a lifetime of fighting and made all the more terrifying by Toryn's natural proclivity for Electric Judgement.

Level-headed, straightforward, easygoing and far, far more clever than he ever actually lets on, Toryn is an oddity amongst Mandalorians— especially those with a reputation like his— in that he rarely ever talks about himself; keeping a pointed silence about his life, his work, or what he's thinking or feeling at any given time. Partly due to the often clandestine nature of his profession, partly due to being satisfied enough with his life that he doesn't particularly want or need fame or glory and partly due to his extraordinarily private nature. Once an orphan, Toryn's earliest memories are of his short four years as the adoptive son of a Tionese mercenary captain— one Daesha Vao— in the employ of a Hutt information broker on Nar Shaddaa. A time he spent learning all the need-to-knows from that side of life; from blaster maintenance, to pick-pocketing and swindling drunken Coreward tourists out of all their credits with a shell game or a pack of cards and a cheeky smile. And a time he rarely speaks of, though he often looks back on it all with a sort of sad nostalgia, even as the passing years make the finer details harder to recall.

Toryn's origins, to milk that tired old cliche, are shrouded in mystery... and that's not him just trying to sound cool, enigmatic or anything remotely interesting, the guy honestly has no idea just where the hell he came from. What he does know, however, is that he was barely dry from the womb before he was handed off to a mercenary named Daesha Vao and her outfit working out of the Red Light Sector on Nar Shaddaa for safe keeping. Which admittedly, does kinda sound like a terrible idea at first, if you didn't know one tiny little detail—
That Daesha Vao was considered one of, if not the most lethal merc on that whole damned moon.
An absolute mountain of a Twi'lek, and the daughter of both an infamous Tionese pirate and a slave-turned-assassin that could've built a bridge from the Smuggler's Moon straight down to the surface of Nal Hutta with all the bodies she'd left in her wake, Toryn's 'Mum' had lived up to her pedigree long before she was changing the boy's diapers or tucking him into bed with a Ryl lullaby and a little kiss goodnight. Having earned her epithet as 'The Reaver' (though she never really cared for the name) via an absolutely jaw-dropping bodycount tallied up over a decade-long career throughout Hutt Space and the Outer Rim— Something she rarely brought up in casual conversation, as she'd always fancied herself to be something of a people person and folks tended to become... a whole lot less talkative the moment they figured out exactly who it was they were talking to. And that's not even getting into the company she kept—
Jarohn Dax (affectionately called 'The Brute' by Daesha), a giant, even among his fellow Devaronians; Built like a brick wall and about as clever as one, too. A nice guy, all things considered— Strong enough to rip a man limb from limb like a wet tissue, but a nice guy.
Zara Tuul ('The Brat'), a Falleen slicer and pilot with brains and sass in equal measure. An adept at getting whatever she wanted from anyone, droid or organic and an absolute master of the pithy one-liner... and absolutely schooling Toryn (her 'little brother') in old holo-games if he remembers right.
Ruusad Vass ('The Kid'), a lad barely old enough to shave and certainly not old enough to buy a drink in most places outside of Hutt Space. Born and raised to live and breathe all things 'Deathwatch', but had a... slight falling out with his clan and glorified death cult over the whole 'Killing other Mandalorians' thing and was very likely considered dead or Dar'manda— possibly both— to his entire extended family. Daesha never once doubted the boy's loyalty though— she had always had a soft spot for strays, especially ones that could peg a fly off a piece of bantha dung from a mile away without disturbing the pile.
Then there was Narkuul ('Pops'), a Hutt information broker and the crew's employer and Tavor, his Muun bookkeeper. The former keeping Daesha and her mercenary pseudo-family on the payroll partly because he'd employed both of the Twi'lek's parents in the past and even officiated at their wedding, partly because as a slug in his particular trade, he often came across the odd lead he felt too juicy not to cash in on himself and partly because on Nar Shaddaa, a Hutt wasn't really a Hutt until they had their own personal death squad. And the latter? well, the less said about him the better— there was always something... wrong... behind his sunken, beady little eyes and Daesha had always made a point of keeping him as far away from her crew and kid as possible.
And last but certainly not least; 'Sunny'. Narkuul's substantially sized and substantially ancient war droid of a type Toryn would never see the like of in all his years afterward. Narkuul's personal bodyguard, named for his... way with words and baritone delivery.
And so it was that, against any and all convention, our boy Toryn was raised in perhaps the safest, out-of-the-way place imaginable— amongst a happy family of some of the galaxy's most notorious killers.
Ever the precocious little shit, the kid picked up on Ryl, Huttese and even some Mando'a alongside Basic via sheer osmosis from being exposed to so many languages at such a young age. Counting cards, shell games, magic tricks and all the other basic scams, shams and hustles Pops could cram into his puny little head ('Investing in a future employee', the Hutt would always reason it if asked), being good enough to set up his own stand on the main strip of the Red Light with a fold-out table and a little plasteel crate on which to stand and make a killing absolutely robbing naive and/or drunk tourists from the Inner Rim blind with a little slight of hand and a beaming smile. And a fully armed and armoured Mandalorian leaning on the wall behind him and watching at all times, mind you, but that was more for the off-worlders than any of the local scum and villainy in all honesty, as they all knew better than to go after Daesha's boy.

Knowing that Daesha's crew couldn't be bought off and would have to be removed if he wanted to secure his hold on Narkuul's assets, network and fortune... and with with his in-depth knowledge of the layout and security systems of the place and his own extensive notes about the persons in question, it seemed to him that it'd all go off without a hitch.
And it may well have, had Ruusad, Zara and Toryn not burst through the front door, the elder two gasping for air and the younger off his feet and bodily held up under the Mando kid's shoulder but looking just as tired. All three of them back way ahead of schedule from their daily round of swindling tourists and all three wild-eyed in panic trying to think up a way to explain to their 'Mom' exactly who the youngest in their trio had decided to pick-pocket. Just as a rather angry and unladylike voice called out from behind to remind them of their error;
"WHERE'S MY DAMN LIGHTSABER YA IDJITS?"
That being the voice of Arlia Vohn; Pantoran, Alsakani and Veteran Padawan.
...Also, kind of pissed.
This wasn't going how Tavor planned it— Daesha and Jarohn had suddenly left earlier without saying a word, the kids were back early and they'd apparently brought the single angriest Jedi he'd ever heard of back with them who stormed towards the building riding the winds of an endless stream of Alsakani invective and brandishing what appeared to be her other lightsaber.
So, being a Muun of typical Muun temperament, he did the Muun thing—
He panicked. And signaled his trap too soon, turning what was meant to be a swift and efficient execution into a roaming gunfight through the streets of Nar Shaddaa. Which only became more vicious when they met up with Daesha and Jarohn, who as it turns out had been meeting with Rena Thyran— Arlia's Master, who had a bit of an unconventional reputation herself— who'd come to Nar Shaddaa on Council business and had found her Mirialan self in need of a word with the Twi'lek murdermachine.
Truly an absolute shitshow by any conceivable measure. As they all fought block by block, street by street, room by room until finally, they'd reached the port... just in time to watch Daesha's gunship detonate on the pad where it sat. With their foes seizing control of the Port Master's office to lock down any other chance of escape.
Rena's shuttle, however. Remained intact, for all the good it would do them, with the port's tractor beam ready to snatch and tear apart anything trying to leave.
A thunderous, doomed silence followed for a few heartbeats that seemed to last hours. Before Daesha pulled Jarohn into a hug. Then Zara and Ruusad, before removing her red scarf, tying it around Toryn's neck and giving him a peck on the forehead and holding him as tight as she could.
"You. Jedi." She hissed Rena's way through clenched teeth, struggling against herself to let go of her youngest. "Do what you have to, but swear to me you'll keep them safe. I'll take care of the rest."
This would be the last time Toryn would ever see his mum— as he was soon after hauled up and bodily carried off by Jarohn— the sight of her sad half-smile and little wave as she shrank into the distance buried into his psyche for the rest of his life.
As would the series of explosions that rocked the port not long after they'd made it to Rena's ship, letting them all know that it was time to leave.
Their destination? Coruscant. The plan? Well, the Republic's original mission of enlisting The Reaver's aid in the war effort had now quite thoroughly failed. But Rena had given Daesha her word, and she'd see it through, regardless.
...That, and there were now other "Complications" to figure out she added quietly, fixing the now very exhausted and distraught boy in Jarohn's arms an uncomfortable stare before going back to flying the ship.
Unfortunately, 'Seeing it through' would turn out to be much more complicated than first thought. As, after a few days in hyperspace, Arlia, Rena and oddly enough even Toryn were abruptly struck with an overwhelming sense of dread; the cause of which would only become apparent when they exited hyperspace soon afterward and their motley crew quickly with front row seats to the opening stages of The Shattering of Coruscant. Something they could all only stare at in awe and horror as the burning light of the Galaxy's heart filtered through the cockpit and bathed the ship's interior with an ominous off-orange glow.
...For a moment, anyway. Before the ship's proximity klaxons began to scream out the approach of droid fighters and Arlia found the presence of mind to slam a few buttons on the console and jump them the hell out of there.
Where they wound up wasn't much better. With a Corellian captain of the House of Halcyon they had managed to contact and rendezvous with being both aware of the bounty Tavor had by this time placed on all their heads out of spite and aware that there was no longer a central government to stop him from collecting on it. Forcing the lot of them to fight their way off of his ship and to subsequently be charged with High Treason.
This would set the tone for the following months; with them arriving at some new supposed 'safe' harbour, only to find themselves found and immediately pursued by either Grievous' Jedi-Hunting squads, bounty-hunters from Nar Shaddaa, or forces from what would become the Corellian Hegemony. Constantly hunted, constantly running, constantly driven further and further to the Galactic South.
In that time, Zara would be lost; suddenly dragged off, screaming via a Mandalorian grapple-line punched through her thigh and never seen again. Ruusad would lose an arm to a particularly sadistic with a vibroblade and Toryn would lose his innocence; leaping onto that same mercenary's back before he could finish the job and unknowingly cooking him alive in his armour with gouts of green electricity, his first real use of the force. And his first kill.
This would continue until they reached —or rather, crashed into— the port of Terminus, far in the galactic south. The end of the Known Galaxy and the end of the line. It is here, while hiding out in an old boneyard essentially waiting to die, their ship too broken to ever fly again that they finally caught wind of the Republic in Exile far to the Galactic North. On Mandalore, of all places. Some distant shore where, hypothetically, they could've been safe, if they weren't trapped on the other side of the galaxy, hiding out from Tavor's bounty-hunters who they knew were already planetside and hunting them down.
Which is about when they encountered a strange... red-eyed Pantoran, who was also hiding out in that boneyard for reasons she would not elaborate on. Who suggested a novel solution to their problem; going around the long way. Through the Unknown Regions.
Thus, with no better options. They found the most intact ship they could in that yard— a downright ancient Dynamic-Class, as it turned out— and hastily got to work making her space-worthy again, pulling parts off of nearby ships as necessary.
It was close, and Jarohn— himself already wounded from the crash— had to pick up his gun and go out and buy them time in one last furious stand against the advancing mercs, but they made it out by the very skin of their teeth. Just as a rather angry and unladylike voice called out from behind to remind them of their error;
"WHERE'S MY DAMN LIGHTSABER YA IDJITS?"
That being the voice of Arlia Vohn; Pantoran, Alsakani and Veteran Padawan.
...Also, kind of pissed.
This wasn't going how Tavor planned it— Daesha and Jarohn had suddenly left earlier without saying a word, the kids were back early and they'd apparently brought the single angriest Jedi he'd ever heard of back with them who stormed towards the building riding the winds of an endless stream of Alsakani invective and brandishing what appeared to be her other lightsaber.
So, being a Muun of typical Muun temperament, he did the Muun thing—
He panicked. And signaled his trap too soon, turning what was meant to be a swift and efficient execution into a roaming gunfight through the streets of Nar Shaddaa. Which only became more vicious when they met up with Daesha and Jarohn, who as it turns out had been meeting with Rena Thyran— Arlia's Master, who had a bit of an unconventional reputation herself— who'd come to Nar Shaddaa on Council business and had found her Mirialan self in need of a word with the Twi'lek murdermachine.
Truly an absolute shitshow by any conceivable measure. As they all fought block by block, street by street, room by room until finally, they'd reached the port... just in time to watch Daesha's gunship detonate on the pad where it sat. With their foes seizing control of the Port Master's office to lock down any other chance of escape.
Rena's shuttle, however. Remained intact, for all the good it would do them, with the port's tractor beam ready to snatch and tear apart anything trying to leave.
A thunderous, doomed silence followed for a few heartbeats that seemed to last hours. Before Daesha pulled Jarohn into a hug. Then Zara and Ruusad, before removing her red scarf, tying it around Toryn's neck and giving him a peck on the forehead and holding him as tight as she could.
"You. Jedi." She hissed Rena's way through clenched teeth, struggling against herself to let go of her youngest. "Do what you have to, but swear to me you'll keep them safe. I'll take care of the rest."
This would be the last time Toryn would ever see his mum— as he was soon after hauled up and bodily carried off by Jarohn— the sight of her sad half-smile and little wave as she shrank into the distance buried into his psyche for the rest of his life.
As would the series of explosions that rocked the port not long after they'd made it to Rena's ship, letting them all know that it was time to leave.
Their destination? Coruscant. The plan? Well, the Republic's original mission of enlisting The Reaver's aid in the war effort had now quite thoroughly failed. But Rena had given Daesha her word, and she'd see it through, regardless.
...That, and there were now other "Complications" to figure out she added quietly, fixing the now very exhausted and distraught boy in Jarohn's arms an uncomfortable stare before going back to flying the ship.
Unfortunately, 'Seeing it through' would turn out to be much more complicated than first thought. As, after a few days in hyperspace, Arlia, Rena and oddly enough even Toryn were abruptly struck with an overwhelming sense of dread; the cause of which would only become apparent when they exited hyperspace soon afterward and their motley crew quickly with front row seats to the opening stages of The Shattering of Coruscant. Something they could all only stare at in awe and horror as the burning light of the Galaxy's heart filtered through the cockpit and bathed the ship's interior with an ominous off-orange glow.
...For a moment, anyway. Before the ship's proximity klaxons began to scream out the approach of droid fighters and Arlia found the presence of mind to slam a few buttons on the console and jump them the hell out of there.
Where they wound up wasn't much better. With a Corellian captain of the House of Halcyon they had managed to contact and rendezvous with being both aware of the bounty Tavor had by this time placed on all their heads out of spite and aware that there was no longer a central government to stop him from collecting on it. Forcing the lot of them to fight their way off of his ship and to subsequently be charged with High Treason.
This would set the tone for the following months; with them arriving at some new supposed 'safe' harbour, only to find themselves found and immediately pursued by either Grievous' Jedi-Hunting squads, bounty-hunters from Nar Shaddaa, or forces from what would become the Corellian Hegemony. Constantly hunted, constantly running, constantly driven further and further to the Galactic South.
In that time, Zara would be lost; suddenly dragged off, screaming via a Mandalorian grapple-line punched through her thigh and never seen again. Ruusad would lose an arm to a particularly sadistic with a vibroblade and Toryn would lose his innocence; leaping onto that same mercenary's back before he could finish the job and unknowingly cooking him alive in his armour with gouts of green electricity, his first real use of the force. And his first kill.
This would continue until they reached —or rather, crashed into— the port of Terminus, far in the galactic south. The end of the Known Galaxy and the end of the line. It is here, while hiding out in an old boneyard essentially waiting to die, their ship too broken to ever fly again that they finally caught wind of the Republic in Exile far to the Galactic North. On Mandalore, of all places. Some distant shore where, hypothetically, they could've been safe, if they weren't trapped on the other side of the galaxy, hiding out from Tavor's bounty-hunters who they knew were already planetside and hunting them down.
Which is about when they encountered a strange... red-eyed Pantoran, who was also hiding out in that boneyard for reasons she would not elaborate on. Who suggested a novel solution to their problem; going around the long way. Through the Unknown Regions.
Thus, with no better options. They found the most intact ship they could in that yard— a downright ancient Dynamic-Class, as it turned out— and hastily got to work making her space-worthy again, pulling parts off of nearby ships as necessary.
It was close, and Jarohn— himself already wounded from the crash— had to pick up his gun and go out and buy them time in one last furious stand against the advancing mercs, but they made it out by the very skin of their teeth. Slipping past the various ships in orbit meant to cut off any potential escape, and into the unknown.
Eleven years after that harrowing escape from Terminus, the Jedi Enclaves on Mandalore were paid a visit by a... most unusual guest. One Toryn Dral, the apparent foundling son of Atin Dral, a Taung General from the Mandalorian Wars who had curiously reemerged in the present day. Making port in Keldabe and the day before and apparently quite surprised to almost immediately be met by the Paladin himself, who he'd been touring the planet with since.
Unusual not only for his old-fashioned, bronze-coloured armour, not just for the carefully wrapped bundle of cloth in his hands but also for the lightsaber dangling at his hip, and how he walked, talked and generally carried himself in a fashion more befitting a veteran several times his age and not all that dissimilar from a Jedi. The idea of Taung calling a kid like this 'son' was, well... a little strange, from what they had on record.
Though when Roka Alleron, the Jedi who had gone out to meet him, asked the boy what the Jedi Enclaves could do for him, things started to make a little more sense as he unwrapped the cloth in his hands and produced Rena Thyran's lightsaber... before throwing another curveball her way and apologizing that Arlia— Rena's Padawan— couldn't be here to return the blade herself; She had gone into labour that morning and wouldn't be in any condition to go anywhere anytime soon.
Roka, to her credit, just looked the boy up and down as if he were a colour from space before saying;
"...Kid, you're throwing an awful lotta shit at me right now. Why don'cha come inside and we'll have a talk?"
And talk they did. Admittedly, a bit awkwardly at first on the kid's part; clearly being unused to being around people. But balanced out by Roka's frank... Roka-ness, which seemed to put the lad more at ease. Their meandering eventually leading to the training halls of the Council of Swords where he would lay eyes upon the four-foot-and-nine-inches of terror that was Miravera Alleron for the first time in his life. Who was currently busying herself with dismantling everyone and everything that got on that mat with her with an almost... bored indifference bordering on contempt for her fellow pupils.
Toryn decided that as... entertaining as this girl was to watch work, it was probably in his best interest to avoid her. Partly, because she seemed to have the mother of all sticks up her arse and partly because he had no idea that she was going to become his best friend one day.
Though to be fair regarding that last one, nothing seemed further from the truth after the scoff the pale girl threw his way after somebody (Roka) surreptitiously stuck a training saber into his hand while he wasn't paying attention and gave the lad a firm shove forward. Nor the two quick thwacks he got upside the head before his guard was even up, cutting off his protests about being voluntold.
Nor the glare the younger girl gave him after he intercepted what was meant to be the third smack to his dome with his training saber... and immediately shoved her to the ground by bracing his own blade against his beskar vambrace. Which she quickly recovered from, bounding back to make space and immediately, flawlessly, going into the opening flourishing kata and stance for Makashi, with one arm folded behind her back and her saber pointed directly at him in the other. Something the Mandalorian met by calmly slipping into a relaxed, wide stance with his left foot forward and his saber held loosely to his side and slightly behind him in both hands, pointing away from his foe— something that didn't really exist in Jedi manuals.
Something that brought the kind of smug smirk to Roka's face that only comes when you're proven right as Miravera— prodigy of the blade who had been rapidly becoming one of the foremost duelists in the whole Council of Swords, her own niece, for the first time squared off with... an actual warrior. An opponent with absolutely no concept of dueling etiquette or propriety and who'd actually give her the kind of fight she needed to truly grow.
...Though to be fair, she wasn't exactly expecting the two to take it so far that it'd spill out into the hallways, corridors, other classrooms, one of the kitchens and even Zatli's greenhouse before they'd managed to launch themselves off the side of the damned Citadel and splash down in the courtyard's fountain. Where she and an uncharacteristically amused Dooku would find them soggy, bruised and... actually laughing their asses off about the whole thing now that they'd cooled down (manually).
This chance encounter would earn Toryn the life-long friendship of the girl who'd come to be known as "Solace". And put the kid on the Enclaves' radar, which would lead Roka to approach him about a month later— after the Paladin had granted his father the right to properly refound and settle Clan Dral in the Forge of Kad Ha'rangir; a river valley in the forested highlands far to the north of Keldabe where the old Taung had actually grown up and where they would found the settlement of Atin'yaim— to recruit him as her Padawan. Reasoning that it'd be best to extend that offer to him herself some other, more... orthodox Knight or Master got to him first, after having met the kid.
Which took a bit more poking than she thought it would, honestly; the boy apparently having his own plans of opening his own tool shop and living a quiet life. The two of them quickly forming a relationship that was less the traditional Jedi teacher-and-student dynamic and more of a partnership; As, though he was indeed learning from the Arkanian, it became quite clear rather early on that this wasn't Toryn's first rodeo. And though he'd never fully elaborate on where it all came from, she did find herself picking things up from him almost as much as he did her— even taking to donning a suit of beskar'gam he'd made for her at some point, after she'd sufficiently started cracking him out of his socially-awkward shell.
And for two years, the two of them made for a helluva team, even if they were somewhat on the outs with the more formal core of the Council of Swords; Roka, for her actions during the Clone wars that had earned her the epithet "The Red-Stained" and a lack of decorum and protocol most unbecoming of a proper Jedi and Toryn for... well, being too damned Mandalorian for many of the more conservative sections of the Enclaves. But they did manage to carve out a niche for themselves as an unconventional pair to be sent to deal with things that more orthodox Jedi might have trouble with; like saving archeologists who'd poked something they probably shouldn't have, playing bounty hunter to deal with wanted criminals directly, or— as became their hallmark— seeking out other Jedi who'd been left unaccounted for after Knightfall and either making sure they were alright, extricating them from bad situations or, as was sometimes the case, putting them down if the trauma of the Clone Wars and the Shattering of Coruscant had made them a threat to the people of the Galaxy.
It was often grisly work. And more often than not, largely unappreciated by the Council of Swords, but it did quickly earn Toryn a reputation amongst the Enclaves as someone who could be relied upon to get the job done, damn the odds and damn the unpleasantness. Though he did begin to notice more and more the way some in their order talked about his Master, despite all the work they'd done and started finding it harder and harder to bite his tongue; never mind the one Knight who had thought it a good idea to say something particularly unkind about previous Master, and who very quickly found Toryn's hand on their throat in an uncharacteristic slip in composure Solace would have to talk him down from.
Until, one night. Roka called her Padawan out to the woods near Atin'yaim— by then a decently-sized town in it's own right made up of modular pre-fabs and parked starships— to ask a personal favour, far from the eyes of the Council of Swords.
She had found Pong Krell. Her former Master who had betrayed her, the Grand Army and the whole of the Republic, leading to the deaths of thousands on Umbara and beyond, combatants and civilians alike and dragging her name through mud stained with the blood of all of her friends to that very day.
She had found the fucker, camped out in the old Jedi Temple on Telos. And the Council of Swords refused to let her go after him. Citing a lack of resources to be devoted to her rather obvious thirst for revenge. But if she let him slip away again, it could be another decade before she got another cha—
"Fuck 'em." Came the boy's flat response as he picked himself up off the rock he'd been sitting on and headed back towards his ship/home at an easy pace. "Let's go kick his ass."
No questions, no doubts, no misgivings. Just affirmation and purpose, damn the consequences. Truth be told, as much time as she'd spent with her Padawan over the past two years, that had still caught her way the hell off guard.
"This man hurt you, so I am going to feed him his own hands and the Council can fuckin' like it." He added over his shoulder, as if sensing her confusion. "...Now are we doing this thing or not?"
...And while few really know for sure the exact specifics of what happened on Telos— where the two apparently disembarked about a mile out from their target in the middle of an arctic snowstorm, snuck in through an old sewage pipe and then set about causing as much mayhem inside that old facility as physically possible; destroying the gears that controlled the hangar bay with an arm-full of jury-rigged explosives to prevent any means of escape, carving their way through the small army of hired guns Krell had surrounded himself with, detonating their ammo-dump just to add to the chaos before outright jumping the traitorous Besalisk before he could figure what was going on— it is a matter of record that when they returned home about a week later and presented a dumbstruck Council of Swords with about two-dozen force-sensitive kids the bastard had kidnapped over the years and a carbonite block that looked an awful like the man himself... that said block had a curious absence of his grabby-bits.
They then both immediately resigned. And went to find a bar.
...Or, more accurately, were grabbed and bodily dragged into a local dive on the Citadel Grounds almost as soon as they were out the door by a bunch of old clones who'd seen what they'd come in with. Where two shots of something called "Lethan Lovelies" were placed in front of them and a crowd of old warriors gathered 'round, eager to hear the story and many of them making impromptu holo-calls. The staff very pointedly going into overdrive to get as much alcohol and food ready as possible.
Things got... rather loud after that. In a happy, Mandalorian kind of way.
And they'd soon be joined by others; like the children of clones whose fathers had survived the hell of Umbara, Mandalorians who'd heard what they'd done and came to celebrate, other Jedi— either those personally affected by Krell's treachery or who had become disillusioned with the oft-dogmatic traditionalism and bureacratic nature of the Council of Swords— and, perhaps most prominently, Mace Friggin' Windu. Who— himself an outlier on the Council of Swords and still living with the shame of Coruscant's burning during his tenure as Master of the Order— took in all the merrymaking, comradery and general togetherness between Jedi, Clones, Mandalorian warriors and those that they existed to protect.
And suddenly, he had an epiphany. And pointedly sat down next to the two Jedi-turned-folk-heroes to share it with them.
And it was on that night, in that bar cobbled together from scraps of starship and durasteel plate in the midst of celebrating one of few real big wins the Enclaves had had since their founding, that a new order would be forged; one unshackled by millennia of Jedi tradition, whose doors would remain always open to those they served and whose Knights would never shy away from doing what was right.
The Council of Iron.
And it was here that Toryn— knighted on the spot via a Commando Cocktail; a Mandalorian tradition involving a big beskar goblet passed around the bar until near-overflowing with a little bit of everyone else's drinks, something that'd become a set tradition to the Iron— would start to find his true calling in life.
...Which, as it turns out. Was much the same as what he was doing before, but now with much more freedom to act, and often being sent out into the galaxy on his lonesome more often than not; in the early days, because Mace and Roka had their hands full building up a new council of the Enclaves from scratch— buying out that bar and converting it into a sort of Warrior's Lodge where, true to their mission statement, anyone would be welcome to walk in, petition for aid, learn a skill or... just get a hot meal— and much later because, frankly, the boy who was rapidly becoming a man started getting really, really good at hunting down bad people and preventing bad things from happening. To the point where by the time he was in his twenties, it wasn't uncommon for him to receive requests directly from Secretary Suard or The Mandalore Himself whenever they encountered a problem that required a very specific kind of solution. And suddenly, he had an epiphany. And pointedly sat down next to the two Jedi-turned-folk-heroes to share it with them.
And it was on that night, in that bar cobbled together from scraps of starship and durasteel plate in the midst of celebrating one of few real big wins the Enclaves had had since their founding, that a new order would be forged; one unshackled by millennia of Jedi tradition, whose doors would remain always open to those they served and whose Knights would never shy away from doing what was right.

And it was here that Toryn— knighted on the spot via a Commando Cocktail; a Mandalorian tradition involving a big beskar goblet passed around the bar until near-overflowing with a little bit of everyone else's drinks, something that'd become a set tradition to the Iron— would start to find his true calling in life.
...Which, as it turns out. Was much the same as what he was doing before, but now with much more freedom to act, and often being sent out into the galaxy on his lonesome more often than not; in the early days, because Mace and Roka had their hands full building up a new council of the Enclaves from scratch— buying out that bar and converting it into a sort of Warrior's Lodge where, true to their mission statement, anyone would be welcome to walk in, petition for aid, learn a skill or... just get a hot meal— and much later because, frankly, the boy who was rapidly becoming a man started getting really, really good at hunting down bad people and preventing bad things from happening. To the point where by the time he was in his twenties, it wasn't uncommon for him to receive requests directly from Secretary Suard or The Mandalore Himself whenever they encountered a problem that required a very specific kind of solution. Which in turn, would earn him the nickname: "The Hound of Mandalore". And a reputation for ferocity and sheer tenacity that would begin to spread even beyond the borders of Mandalorian Space more and more with every pirate or crimelord brought to justice, every person saved and every weird old spooky thing dealt with.
Hell, it even earned him a saying;
That "Every second you aren't running, he's only getting closer."

Standing at a towering 5’4”, Alys does not exactly come across as the most threatening of individuals. With a toned and athletic frame Alys’ history as an Imperial Marine does show its face. Muscles ripple beneath otherwise blue skin. Her facial features are often described as youthful and rather striking, albeit her blue eyes are capable of portraying a stormy mix of emotion that can be as varied as the tides of the ocean itself. Coupled with a rather stunning body and lengthy head-tails, this imperial often finds herself the center of attention in many situations. Whether she wanted it or not.

- Headstrong: Alys can be quite… adamant in her beliefs. Oftentimes not being afraid to voice dissent, even when it comes to a direct order from a superior officer. This has often gotten the Nautolan into trouble, particularly when she struck a superior officer over his humano-centric beliefs.
- Small Stature: Despite her toned muscles, Alys is still a relatively small individual. She can be overpowered quite easily by others much larger than herself.
- Inexperience: While Alys has been through quite a bit in her life already, she still is only 24 years old. She’s yet to experience some trials that come with years, and to develop ways to counter such issues. Moreover, more experienced or gifted tacticians might be able to get past the girl as she has yet to face their own ideas.
- Political Capital: Being a girl who came from basically nothing, Alys does not have much by way of political weight to throw around in the Empire; beyond her military rank.

Born to a retired Republic Marine and the nurse who’d brought him back to health. Neither had any particular amount of money, nor had they invested very wisely in their younger years. The result being that Alys grew up in a loving home on Glee Anselm, albeit one without much money.

Born to a loving couple of a retired Republic Marine and the Nurse who’d saved his life many years back, Alys had a rather pleasant upbringing. Their family did not have much by way of money, mostly due to poor investments in their younger years. Still, their life on Glee Anselm was a pleasant one. The first two years of Alys’ life weren’t all that significant, at least until Knightfall’s fallout tore through the galaxy with a terrifying sense of unease and chaos. The girl was much too young to have memories of this turbulent time, but grew up living in fear of the CIS and Grevious’ wrath coming down atop their world. An eventuality that she, fortunately, would never have to experience. Before the CIS could find a reason to turn Glee Anselm to slag, the forces under the newly-minted Renkar Imperium seized the planet from the iron grip of the droid forces. At first, Alys and her parents lived in fear of another despot… until the years showed life under the Empire to be better than it had before. That the Empire had truly liberated them from the evil within the Galaxy.
When she was fourteen years of age, and had matured into an adult herself, Alys decided that she wasn’t willing to sit off to the side while others fought to defend their Empire. To beat back the evils of General Grievous. As such, despite her parents’ wishes, she went to enlist within the Imperial Marines. Training was hard, but the girl threw every ounce she could give into her training. Into every task thrown at her, and as a result of her hard work she started to excel. Proving herself in combat, leadership, and special operations. Her record soon was glowing with recommendations and victories, though one in particular stood out. During an assault on a Droid Factory sitting along the frontlines, her squad found itself pinned down with their reinforcements nearly entirely obliterated. Yet it was Alys who noticed the waste pipes dumping under the oceans nearby, and using her Nautolan heritage took on a solo mission beneath the wages to infiltrate the factory. Inside, she was able to disable the core and send the factory into a meltdown. Which, in turn, shut down a large portion of the defenses that had pinned down her squad. From here, Alys led her squad on a guerilla campaign for nearly three months until they finally were able to put out a call for rescue to the Empire. A campaign that had weakened the CIS’ grip on the planet enough that the fleet sent to rescue her squad was able to beat the CIS back from the planet entirely, and seize it from Grevious’ grip.
That guerilla campaign and Alys’ contributions caused her to gain the attention of several officers who selected her for officer training. At first, Alys felt as if she didn’t belong in officer school. Yet, once again, Alys wouldn’t let herself give anything except every ounce of her being. Slowly, but surely, her hard work started to show. Her late nights spent studying tactics of Imperial Officers, their enemies, and particularly one admiral Gilad Pellaeon caused Alys to discover and develop a sharp tactical sense. Soon, as a test of curiosity by one of her instructors, Alys was tested in a simulator of a Star Destroyer’s Command Bridge. A test she passed with stellar results, and caused her to be given an immediate transfer into Fleet Command. Not long after, Alys graduated and was assigned the role of an XO onboard the Star Destroyer Adamant, Flagship of the 3rd Fleet. Here as well, Alys’ service record excelled. She distinguished herself with some rather ingenious suggestions to the ship’s captain, and by serving to coordinate combined arms operations with the ground forces to great effect. Yet this command would not last, as the 3rd Fleet’s Admiral was an older man, recruited from the Republic Navy and fostering some rather offensive humano-centric views. Views which caused the man to callously spend non-human lives as currency for victory, while protecting human lives in turn. Such views, when finally brought to a point by Alys pointedly calling the Admiral out in a private conversation, caused the girl’s anger to boil. Which, in turn, resulted in Alys slapping the Admiral across the face while demanding he treat all his troops as the equals they were in service to the Empire.
This, of course, caused an immediate demotion to be handed out to Alys. For the next two months, the former XO found herself in charge of the Star Destroyer’s mess staff. A job which the Nautolan cursed every second of, up until the day she received word that Emperor Renkar himself wanted to speak to her. Naturally, Alys was more than terrified of the sudden summons. Yet, once she found herself before him, the reasoning for the summons became clear; The Emperor had heard of the stand she’d taken in the 3rd Fleet. He liked that she was willing to stand up against that injustice, and he was impressed with her service record. He wanted to offer her a command of her own, the Ascendancy-Class Star Destroyer “Wyvern”, currently assigned to the 1st fleet, and the Flagship of his eldest daughter. With this command, she would be tasked with ensuring the eldest’s travel and security whenever such services were required. Else, she was to be fighting on the front lines with the rest of the 1st Fleet. The honor was too much for Alys to deny, and as such she accepted the command that she has held for the past eight months. During which time she has shown herself to be a devastatingly competent Captain, while keeping a healthy relationship with her crew.
Now, Alys stands on her latest assignment; an escort mission for the Emperor’s Eldest. During the last two months with her, Alys has found a small friendship to develop between the two. Albeit, one she does let get in the way of her own professionalism. After all, she owed the Empire everything for liberating her planet.
