I came back after a really long time to RP with some friends. We set (most of) our threads in a shared multiverse. Back in the day throughout the 2000s and early 2010s this was a pretty popular conncept on other forums that got a lot of traction, it would be really cool to see something like that again, because it was very interesting to see the way peoples' ideas meshed together in a player-created and player-driven setting.

Sexaul ones. I work in plot with it. Fantasy theme myself. Sci fi for the techy types.

The problem is the lack of activity on the site.

I do more then just roleplay as well. For example I've done trial periods on second Life even if IC roleplay is a good part of things. The truth is people that make the time make things work.

Maybe some way to give people an idea of what roelplay skills someone is when joining the site? I'm a more advanced poster myself. I'm a DM dragon. So I need people that can keep up with me. Doesn't seem to be covered on profiles.

I'm late to this, but I'm still hoping for the day that I see something original posted on this site that would just blow me away. All the better if it's with a cast that has real-life FCs. Although, I wouldn't be opposed to using art either.

I'd also like to see more fandom-based roleplays that are AU and beginner-friendly, so people who are new to a fandom, or just learning about it, can apply without feeling intimidated by its lore.

One that comes to mind, that I haven't seen done anywhere before, would be something in the Kill Bill universe; I just think it has so many fun possibilities. ♥

Nice responses from everyone.

For me, I think it'd be cool to see something where different canon characters and OCs can exist within the same universe, which I think someone else here was referring to too. Like something that doesn't take itself too seriously where characters like Kratos, Raiden, Solid Snake, and Master Chief exist, as an example.

I would like to create something like this but I don't have GMing experience tbh, I'm better off as a player.

Here's to hoping that a kind soul will make our dreams come true. But with the lack of activity on the site, it's tough to say.

You don't get GMing experience by not GMing. Everyone starts somewhere, just be honest and transparent with your players, state what you want to get out of the RP, where you want it to go and stand by your guns where necessary but don't suffocate your players either. There are plenty of articles, guides and general examples scattered throughout the site to help you get started.

Hey, thanks for that, I'll have to check those out sometime!

I have been considering making this kind of RP but it's my nerves that get the best of me, and other times, my attention span, hah.

It's a little out of date now, but this is a great starting point to finding resources both as a player and a GM.

I guess if we want to see something done, we really should try to do it ourselves and maybe see where it goes.

I actually have been brainstorming ideas and reading these articles, so we'll see what happens.

Personally I would like to see more creature features. I'm a human so I like getting out of my comfort zone and being a non human/humaniod. Anthro, creature, alien, something not human with two arms and two legs, something with fur or wings or a tail that grabs things and spider eyes. Where is the creativity in being just human all the time?
