I felt really interested in your Nation, Gowia, however, there are quite a few problems. You have way too many Dreadnoughts. Also, we do not do crew sizes like that of Star Trek, if you had used that as a reference. Size 8 would require about 10,000 crew members, more than likely a minimum of 7,000 to work every system in the ship to functionality. Dreadnoughts in this universe are supposed to be the behemoths father, so to speak. But you can call your Battleships Dreadnoughts, if you want. Carriers require a minimum of 7,000 for all decks period, if you want to launch fighters, otherwise 5,000 would work for maintaining the ship (You need fighter mechanics, support crew, pilots, etc for a full Carrier). Battleships around 4-5,000 max, 3,500 minimum. Cruisers and Frigates can range from 1-3,000 crew size. Now, you may be thinking, you have 5+ billion people on your planet, and that's all fine and dandy. But if you have more military than civilians, you'll be out of food by the end of the week, if not the day. Nation is all about management, and it can get tricky.

If you cleaned your NS up, fixed any errors, and made Parts the actual Spoilers (Yes, there will be several big images in peoples faces, but that's only if they open parts with large images, like I may have. It just makes things cleaner.) And fix your ship issue, the rest I believe is acceptable. Oh and, do remember. I'm not limiting you on what you can have. You can make frigates and cruisers with fighter and hangar bays if you wanted.

Edit:

As things can vary, (and size 5 can vary to just the Stratofortress itself or outward to the wings) 5-6 can range from 5-700 and on up to 1,500.

I didn't want to make the roleplay seriously limiting or complicated, just reasonable.

It would be nice if you could make a Nation which we could use as a prime example.

The Nation has been commonly called as the Zill, otherwise, that-very-hostile-and-horrible-alien-species-that-likes-killing-people-which-is-only-spoken-in-whispers
The information listed here is all the information that has been discovered, and as majority of the Nations that have witnessed (because it is extremely rare to survive from it) it choose to share the information they discover so they can all bring an end to its terror, it is compiled here.

I feel bad as the Nation Sheet could have been done better, but I'm not as one would say perfect at those things. I have created the NPC Nation that is highly feared. My Nation will be up shortly.

Before I show interest in this, there are a few points and/or concerns that I need to address:

1) Having access to "higher" technology does not mean that you automatically have a sweeping advantage over your opponent. While true that possessing higher technology does benefit you greatly and hampers the effectiveness of your enemy, how and where you use those weapons ultimately determines how effective they are. Say, for example, that your foot soldiers possess high-powered combat infantry arms that fire neutralized particles in a tight beam. By law, these will wreck havoc upon virtually all forms of armor (by simply causing it to explode), are direct-fire weapons, are unaffected by gravity and wind resistance, and will wreck untold havoc on electronics (due to the high levels of x-ray radiation that is released upon initial contact between the beam and the armor).

Sounds like a weapon that's superior to modern ballistic weaponry, right?

Wrong. In some cases, using a particle beam weapon be the preferred choice in a firefight, but once you add in advanced firearms that utilize computer-guided munitions that harbor armor-piercing and high explosive capability, your beam weapon is competing with a firearm that literally can curve its rounds around corners and "seek" out its intended target regardless of where they are. A laser or particle beam cannot do this, and god-forbid you're trying to fire one of these through a thick cloud of dust or a cloud of reflective material (this is especially true for laser weaponry).

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that even the out-dated and ancient can still be especially deadly if used correctly and/or in the right environment.

2) If the technology in this RP is advanced, why do some ships need to have 7,000+ crewmen? Wouldn't it be safe to assume that these spacecraft are heavily automated, increasing their overall effectiveness, toughness and reliability in turn?

3) Unsure if you decided to still stuck with this, but keeping warpdrives and hyperdrives out of the hands of lesser nations is, to me, a poor idea. Space is huge. If they don't have that technology, they can't interact with others. That, or they have to rely on higher nations for their entry into the far-reaching cosmos. A host of issues come with this possibility, most notably that of the real chance that higher nations can and will exploit smaller nations for their own monetary gain. Warpdrives and hyperdrives are game-changing technologies---much like how the firearm, the computer, the nuclear bomb, or the introduction of the automobile revolutionized mankind. Whoever invents or controls them lays claim to a rather uncanny amount of power and influence.

This person is what I need for a Co-GM right here. This and all this.

On your points of 2 and 3, the technology is high, but I would not say thousands of years ahead of Earth Modern. Space travel is natural, Space Warfare is natural, but it isn't something to be deemed as the everyday norm (using the word 'normal,' harshly). I guess an example would be the difference between Star Wars the Old Republic Era, and Star Wars, Legacy Era. I do not condone "god-like technology." And I suppose I may have said that, or it sounded like I said Lesser Nations do not have warp/hyper. What I meant to say is that Lesser Nations are not as "fully settled" as higher Nations, so it would be more important to get a stable Nation than to just go gallivanting around the universe. So, to say... they have ships, they have the FTL, they just don't have the efficiency or amount (Yes they have ships, do they have hundreds upon thousands? No.)

Have to say sorry if I sounded rude. I looked over the original Nation Sheet and saw where I said to put hiders. Sadly, the sight does not have the function for hiders inside hiders yet, that was my bad.

No worries I've quickly edited the Dreads down to 2, Everything is in hiders and the reason it did look untidy is I have spent quite a while trying to rearrange stuff to get hiders inside hiders. Okay crews are also shunted to the correct place and I will be doing other units and probably a quick description of some of the different weapons in there as well.

I have no issue with any type of weapon, the problem would be in how powerful you make it out to be.

I'm sorry guys, I guess I keep expecting you to stay in a certain boundary and I just don't make myself clear. When I talked about biology, technology, and science fiction stuff, I meant in realistic terms. Meaning if it can be feasible realistically. Pulse comes from Star Wars, and I'm not sure if it is possible to create realistically

You also have Lance and some more Pulse. If you just have them named this but they fire a different element, that's okay. If you want these Pulses and Lances, you'd have to explain them realistically. References from Warhammer or Star Wars only work if they use real world elements.

Well lance is just the name of the gun battery because the laser it fires is long and thin. Let me find other pulse stuff and edit that.

O__O *mind blown* or well perhaps not really blown. <.< i did survive Asimovs books like the Empire -w- good lord that was some heavy reading.
well i guess this will be interesting. Though im not sure if i want to join just yet. It's in Advanced roleplays and have stayed away from this section due to lack of confidence in my Rping skills :/
A few points from me to though. And this might become a bit lengthy :/

This part is about mech's and munitions

Space and stuff that happens there

And im going to hold my self back there and breath >,< sorry if this seemed like a rant nya!!

This is the first time since my last post that I’ve given the OP a thorough read-through, and I have a number of questions and remarks I’d like to make before submitting my nation sheet:

Regarding planet types, they seem somewhat restrictive. For instance, it is conceivable that if life can be supported on Hoth-like planets, then what about life on Tatooine-like planets? Having both “Desert Planets” and “Arctic/Tundra Planets” would make sense here, even though they would have similar mechanical effects, e.g. hostile environments and few valuable resources.

The term “Healthy Planet” seems somewhat subjective, especially when it’s conceivable for certain species to fair better in less traditional environments than others. I think the term you might be looking for would be “Temperate Planet”, unless you mean “Healthy Planet” to refer to any world habitable for that particular species.

I considered doing some kind of aquatic species, but I didn’t see anything for “Ocean Planets” or “Marsh/Swamp Planets” which would be favorable for amphibians and some reptilian species.

Alternatively, I gave thought to a home world similar to Tuchanka, which would be a previously “Healthy Planet” but has long since become radioactive due to nuclear warfare or some other kind of exposure.

(For reference, I’m leaning towards something almost exactly like Tuchanka and a race loosely based on the krogans but without the genophage, thus, it would be important for me to have clarification on the possibility of desert planets and having my homeworld radioactive or otherwise hostile to non-local lifeforms.)

I’m confused about the difference between Hyper Drives and Warp Drives. Based on my knowledge of science fiction, Hyper Drives allow a ship to enter Hyper Space or some other kind of wormhole whereas Warp Drives warp space around a ship and allow faster-than-light travel through more traditional means, or do I have this backwards?

Likewise, I’m confused about Part Four in its entirety. It’s conceivable to imagine that if we’re still using combined and integrative arms tactics that science fiction universes would continue to do so. In other words, I imagine that fleets would consist of small, medium, and large ships with a possible focus on one class or another, and likewise, ground forces would use most classifications to some capacity, even if there is preference for one or another.

If the above is true, then do we have to fill out information for all ship and vehicle types, or…?

The last thing I want to mention is a general question about the story. Is this something similar to Mass Effect where all the races are relatively young, or is it something similar to Distant Worlds where the species are rebuilding the civilizations of their forefathers after some galactic collapse or some other kind of cataclysm? In other words, what are we to assume in regards to the backstory, and likewise, what about humans? Is this the Milky Way, and by extension, do humans exist? If so, have they existed for long, etc?

(Thanks for reading this gigantic wall. I don't mean to cause unnecessary trouble.)
