Someone found all the buried copies of E.T The Extra Terrestial video gake for the Atari.

The game was so bad they buried all the unsold copies because they were so ashamed.

Fucking owned a copy of it back in my childhood days(Not even knowing it was well known for being utterly terrible), before my mom like an idiot had me get rid of all my old vidja games.

I thought they weren't legally allowed to dig up a landfill? And why the hell would anyone want to dig them up?

It wasn't in a landfill, though. It was in some unknown area so no one would have to sit through that torture.

Case in point, in the Barrie, Ontario landfill, they have 3 dump truck loads of marijuana that was taken in a raid on a grow up that was in an old Molson brewery that was abandoned. Ironically, it was discovered because the wastewater treatment plant kept getting really weird loads of super concentrated chemicals and they had no idea why.

So, it's all still there. The cops who were on guard rotation left years ago.

Ha! I played that game. It was almost so bad it was good. Almost. It was mostly just frustrating, though.
