Actually though, let's use this thread, Kaga got the titles right. >.<
A 'Sneak Peak' was recently aired, showing basically nothing except some nice 3d models of standard Kyogre and Groudon.
It does raise my hopes for seeing ability animations on all Pokemon one day though.

Alright, Corocoro leaks are in.
tl;dr- aside from basically confirming that Groudon/Kyogre are getting Mega Evolutions or at the very least Forme Changes, this weekend revealed a whole fuckton o' nothin' about the new games.
At least E3 is in a month's time?

Is it just me, or do those look less impressive than the scene for Yveltal and Xerneas?
Sure hope their initial awakening is more spectacular. I'm assuming these are just the scenes when they escape and begin their initial catastrophic nature-warping.
What is up with the names?
Fire Red and Leaf Green make sense. The colours match.
Soul Silver and Heart Gold are also pretty cool. Having a "heart of gold" is a common association and if a soul had a colour it would be silver.
Alpha Saphire and Omega Ruby? What? I don't get it.

OK, I really hope they fix that from the originals. Their awakening was basically this: Team Aqua/Lava finish doing whatever they were doing and Kyogre/Groudon fly up into the sky. So underwhelming. GameFreak did better with the scene of Kyogre and Groudon fighting.
Pokemon are sort of running out of sensible names aren't they?

I know you're pointing out the remake name additions, but Alpha and Omega don't seem much more arbitrary than the original names for a bunch of the Pokemon games, to me.
Crystal- Doesn't much fit in with the colour or metal themes for previous titles. I'm not sure where it's related to Team Rocket or Suicune's trio either. Unless I'm missing something, I've never played Crystal.
Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald- Gemstones come from the earth, so yay, Groudon/Terra Cave link. Sapphires also come from the earth, but colour is their only ocean-like quality. Emeralds continue the gem theme, and... Are green like Rayquaza? Not sure what happened there. Maybe the names are to do with mythical beasts guarding gems and treasure, but that's a stretch.
Diamond/Pearl/Platinum- Diamonds last for ages, indicating time. Platinum and Pearl I really can't think up anything for.
X/Y- Typically used for mathematics... No Norse Mythology or Frenchness there. Genetics doesn't much come into the game's themes either.
Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby- If the plot is anything like the original Sapphire and Ruby, it'll involve gangs of obsessive environmentalists trying to create a new world, and magical godzillabeasts threatening to mess up the climate and destroy that world instead. So we have vague connections to beginnings and endings. Maybe there'll be more in the games.

I'm not really sure what I'm saying with this, but Pokemon has a history of oddly selected names. Alpha and Omega aren't too bad by comparison. They certainly stick to the sixth-generation theme of letters, at least.
While we're at it I think Obsidian and Pearl could've been much better names for the third-gen games.

Maybe they're customised entry animations for when you encounter them in battle, though that would be a first.
