I saw the ending to the Outlast DLC : Whistleblower, and it made me curse to the Heavens. Also, Witch-Hunt and Mad Father were also absolutely horrible endings.

The ending of the Last of Us was awesome and unsettling, even with Joel killing off humanity's future.

Neverwinter Nights 2 - literally 'Rocks fall, everybody dies', unless you get the DLC, and even then the DLC felt rather forced with how they plucked the hero away.

You go through painstaking shit to rescue the Princess just for her to be all, "Thanks, fucker. Do it all over again."

Only now, the bad guys are tougher.

I'm pretty sure it's the origin story of the stupid friendzone thing.
