Erin stayed inside Alex’s arms, not daring to get out of them, as her head turned towards him.
” Alex, why do you want to leave this school? We’ve both most likely have been out there by ourselves so you know how dangerous it is. Yet you insist that we need to leave.” she said nuzzling his chest. The girl thought she knew the answer but then again the guy have a habit of surprising her.
Alex looked down at the girl he was holding in his arms. She felt so warm. He didn’t want to ever let go,
”Because with the way things are going this group is eventually going to turn into something bad I can just feel it. Think of it like in the terms of countries. With a monarchy there will always be those moments when someone horrible comes in control. Then there isn’t anything you can do to stop it. I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase ‘Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.’ Despite how nice they were at some point eventually Kyle, Nikki, Matt, and the others are gonna think that their way is the best and only way. It obviously isn’t with what Nikki and Matt just did. Staying here just isn’t safe. The larger the group the more power hungry people will get.”Alex didn’t want to get into this topic about leaving that much, but he knew that since he started he had to give the full reason,
”Also, the general location we are in is just plain unsafe. So, many people means craploads of Walkers and also more opposing survivor groups. I highly doubt no matter how hard we try that convincing everyone here to leave isn’t going to work. If they don’t want to be safe then that’s on them. I just want to get the ones I care about to a place that is safer than this.”Erin sighed as she listened. They were good points of view but the thought of Micky and Sadie out there made her feel sick. They were just kids yet in a world full of undead they were forced to grow up fast instead of being just kids.
” I still think it's a horrible idea Alex. Granted that the reasons make sense when said out loud. It's getting worse out there every single day and yet you want to have your siblings escape into the fire. Please just don't stay away. I don't think that I could handle you leaving me permanently but I do want you away before Vincent comes.” the young woman tried to hide a yawn as the door opened up.
Camy was the first one inside, followed by Haru, and then Maxine who geared up and tackled the couple. The lighter half flinched and groaned in pain as the 19 year old kept her hug. It took a few minutes for the girl to release the two, with the thanks of her boyfriend and Camy, before they all exchanged looks. Erin raised an eyebrow and looked up at Alex.
” What are you all planning?”Alex didn’t really feel like telling Erin he had planned to force her to come with them. He didn’t release the hug and actually slightly tightened so that if she tried to get away she couldn’t. They were all going to leave tonight. Alex was going to do his best to make sure of it.
Camyllia stepped forward showing a bag,”
I have medicine and bandages for Erin. Uhm, would ya like me ta dress ya ‘r do ya want ta do it yerself?” Camyllia asked looking towards the woman.
Erin blinked at the offer. It was kind but a bit unusual or at least to her it was.
” Umm… You don't have to Camy. Granted I need to find out where Robert placed my clothes.” she said shifting to the right. Haru looked at Alex and gave a small smirk.
” I think Alex took all of your things to his room. I'm sure Camy wouldn't mind if you took your girlfriend for a little bit while we gather your siblings.” Maxine nodded knowing she needed to gather her own sibling as well.
”I only heard the last part of what Robert said when Camy got Erin away from him. So, I think only the stuffed animals are in there. Unless Sadie and Micky already grabbed those.” Alex looked nonchalantly at Haru and Maxine. In fact what the two were implying flew straight over his head.
”Either way my room is probably nicer than this one anyway. What do you think Erin?”The teen eye twitched at what Haru was ‘implying’ she smiles kindly at Erin.”
They may be in one o’ the cabinets. I’ll see for ya.” Camyllia says placing the medicine bag down before turning.”
Oh an’ Haru?” Camyllia smiles sweetly before raising her hand and slapping Haru on the cheek leaving a red mark keeping her sweet smile she says.”
Now’s not the time.” With that she went across the room where file cabinets were. She began to search the cabinets before sighing,”
Well there ‘re clothes in ‘ere but uh I don’ know yer size Erin. Mind givin’ me an’ idea?”
Erin chuckled when Camy smacked Haru, even if she wasn't quite sure if the guy let the implying idea out on accident or not, as he rubbed his cheek. Maxine just looked at the two with an innocent look and a head shake.
” Camy why did you do that for? I'm innocent of this sudden crime which I was punished for.” this caused his girlfriend to look at him and smile.” Baby. Being a guy is bad enough. The slip up was just plain out sign to get your ass whopped. Be lucky that she just slapped you because I would have done far worse.” The two looked at each other for a little bit before he gave her a kiss on her cheek.
Erin slowly forced Alex to release her. This wasn't what she wanted up it was best to help Camy before her boyfriend finally caught up. She stopped beside the teenager and stuck her tongue. The were her size but it was all bright colors instead of her usual black.
” I think we should burn these.” this caught Maxine's attention.” Second drawer from the top. The bright colors are mine and I apologize for that.” The light half slowly nodded and closed the drawer then opened the second with a smile.
” Hey Camy. Can you get the medicine bag and help me. That way the boys can visit outside.”The teen nodded,”
Sure.” She turns to the boys and raises an eyebrow,”
Ya’ll gonna go ‘r do I gotta kick ya out?” Camyllia says with a smirk before going and grabbing the bag. She heads towards Erin and smiles at her when she got back at her spot.”
What do ya wan’ me ta do Erin?” She asks digging through the bag.
Erin slowly peeled her shirt off as Maxine started forcing the two boys outside. There was massive bruising all over her body from where Ingrid beaten on her. She turned her head towards the two girls as much as she could.
” How bad is it?” the young woman asked. Maxine sharply inhaled.” Did you get into a fight with a truck or a guy?” This caused a soft chuckle.
” None of those. It was a pissed off Irish woman.”“
Damn. Remind me ta piss her off later I wan’ ta see how it feels ta dodge ‘er.” Camyllia said grabbing some pain killers.”
Morphine...Aleve...Motrin...advil..ahh and that’s it for pain killers.” The teen says bring the bottles out.
” You will do no such thing Camyllia! No matter what happens you will not make trouble with Ingrid in this school.” Erin said sternly. She didn't want to cause anymore trouble for Nikki and Kyle because the lighter half had cause enough for two people as is. Maxine stayed quiet for a second before speaking out loud.” Erin was born in Ireland right? Then how came you guys don't get along?” The young woman shook her head as she rolled her eyes.
” I was born in Ireland but I moved to the USA when I was ten years old due to my Aunt Vivian adopting me. Camy please don't be mad at me. I think of you as a little sister and I don't want you in trouble. As for the pain killers you know how I feel about taking that stuff.”Camyllia smiled sheepishly at Erin as she was scolded,”
Sorry Erin. I won’.” She listened to the rest of the conversation silently wanting to know Maxine’s question herself. As Erin told her story Camyllia couldn’t help but relate to her she wasn’t shocked when Erin told her about Camyllia being like a little sister. It made her feel a little happy though to the teen the woman had become a big sister and for her to confirm it made the teen want to just hug her. But she refrained and just said.”
I think o’ ya as my big sister Erin. So I’m not mad an’ sorry Erin I know ya don’ I jus’ want ta help wit’ yer pain just a bit. Cause I know that hurts like a bitch probably.”
“ Wait? I'm confused here.” Maxine said with a raised eyebrow. Erin sighed and hugged Camy tightly as the woman continued.” Who was the one that tried to commit suicide? I'm also trying to figure out the one who was on pills during the kidnapping.” The lighter half seemed to glare at the new group member.
” She's not the brightest bulb in the bunch huh? Those were both me Maxine.” the girl stuck her tongue out at Erin, who returned the favor, before looking at the teenager.
” Just leave the Advil in the top draw. I'll take some after I eat or when someone bring food. I'm going to go crazy in this room.”The teen hugged the woman back before looking at Maxine with a bit of a sad look. Camyllia didn’t like thinking about it so when Erin made the comment about Maxine not being the brightest bulb the teen hid a smile. She releases the woman when she asks for the Advil,”
Alrigh’ I’ll get it fer ya.” She says walking over to the bag and beginning to dig through it.
Haru looked at Alex with an uncomfortable smile. They had just been kicked out of the room by three girls and now they were alone, which wasn't a good idea in the least.
” So how are you today Alex?” he asked trying to break the silence between them. The guy was gently tapping on the wall trying to hide how nervous he was right at this second.
Alex moved over towards the opposite wall and leaned back against it,
”Haru. I don’t like small talk.” Alex quickly looked up and down the hallway to make sure no one was around then began again while keeping his voice low,
”Have y’all come up with a plan yet?”” Kinda. Did you tell Erin that we were escaping as well as her coming with us?” the guy had an idea on the answer already yet he wanted to hear the man say it out loud. He frowned slightly, as if trying to figure out what he would thinking about something, even though he wasn't.
”She knows I want to leave the school. I’m fairly certain that she knows I want her to come with, but I haven’t told her that we were coming up with a plan to do so tonight. Tell me though. Is this all we have coming with us at the moment. I need to know in case we get separated from you.”” Maxine, Anikin, Micky, Sadie, Camy, Erin, you, and me. These are the only ones I know of unless Kat catches us. Though I doubt she would rat us out and maybe come along. Just like you I'm not use who to trust completely. I do know who to avoid though.” Haru said shrugging. He wasn't sure if he said that any of that right or even close to what he meant.
Alex adjusted a little thinking over what Haru said in his head. The fighter to non fighter ratio was somewhat dangerous. However, if they could get the rest to agree to using Walker blood then they’d be able to hide from the Walkers. So many things they had to go over in so little time.
”One thing we need to do is set up a meeting location. I don’t like it but if they notice us trying to sneak out the odds of us getting separated will go up. We need to pick a place everyone can find to regroup. We also need to get the ones who can’t fight to stick as close to the fighters as possible. Also, I know some of them may not like it, but we will have to use the tactic of covering ourselves with Walker guts. Have you picked the exact time we will be leaving yet?”Haru shook his head.
” Nope. We were more worried about Erin’s well being than the plan.” he said trying to figure out the best times to move. The guy began to chew on his fingernail as he thought about this. Camy knew the guard schedule, Jon would be with Ingrid all night maybe, Nikki and Kyle usually patrolled at night, and that's just about it for worries. Granted that this was all what he thought was going on at night.
” We were going to talk about a plan inside the library after your girl is taken care of. As for the walker guts part I'm all for one playing invisible man but ew.”A slight smirk appeared on Alex’s face,
”It’s bad at first, but then the smell starts to not affect you as much. Your nose just becomes deadened to the scent. Takes about 45 minutes to an hour I’d say. Hour thirty if ya get queasy easily.” His face then returned to it more serious look,
”Just make sure you cover every possibility for the plan. We don’t need something unexpected happening.”” You’re just plain out weird Alex. I can see why Erin is head over heels for you now.” Haru said shivering at the thought of walker guts on him. He was indeed one of those people who become queasy when there was nothing to do. Though in this type of world the guy needed to think of only one thing: getting everyone out of this place in one piece.
Erin watched as Camy dug through her medicine bag before quickly changing into a different gothic outfit. This caused Maxine to frown. She didn't believe what she was seeing. The girl was in all black, which showed her hourglass figure well, but that was it. She walked over to the cabinet and opened her drawer. The young woman grabbed out a pair of blue jeans and a light pink shirt.
” What do you want me to do with those?” Erin said with a raised eyebrow.” Put them on. You're a female and not a gothic person Erin. So it's time to act like a lady instead of some dark natured person, who believes in the devil, or made a pact with him.” The woman rolled her eyes and walked into the bedroom area with Maxine following. They began to argue out loud until the lighter half threw something across the room to shut her up.
Camyllia rolls her eyes looking at Maxine,”
Look Maxine as much as that is nice. She doesn’t wan’ ta an’ if she don’ wan’ ta-” Erin threw something across the room shut everyone up. Camyllia holds back a snort.”
Now ya’ve done it..Look wearing bright color like pink screams ‘CATCH ME” so even I wouldn’t wear that.” She says bringing over the Advil.”
Erin ‘ere. I got a bottle o’ water if ya need it.”
Maxine looked hurt and upset as she placed the clothes back.
” Catch me? Alright young lady. What did you mean by that? And don't give me that nothin crap.” as the woman asked Maxine had opened the door for the boys to come inside. When Alex walked inside lighter half glared at the man.
” What the hell are you guys planning?”Once the door was opened Alex casually strolled in to be met with a glare from Erin,
”What do you mean what are we planning. Honestly, I could ask the same about you girls. Especially since two of you are technically dating the two of us.” Alex instantly knew that she was starting to catch on. Now he would just have to make use of his acting skills to try and divert her attention.
Camyllia tried to play of her inner panic as a laugh that to her sounded real.”
Alex, we’re not plannin’ nothin’.” The teen says before she smirks.”
Though I may be plannin’ ta get Haru other than a slap.” She says playing of as mischievous. Camyllia didn’t like doing this to Erin but she said she’d keep her mouth shut.
Haru just kept quiet and watched Maxine. When she went to open her mouth he shook his head. Erin wouldn't drop this no matter what so it was best if Alex took care of it. With a little help. The guy shifted and pushed the man forward towards Erin, causing them to kiss. He looked away innocently before saying anything.
” Well Alex I didn't know that you couldn't wait for the kids to leave. Please do take care of her needs. Ladies shall we go?” instantly he felt another slap to his right. It was his own girlfriend who slapped him this time.
Camyllia giggles as she walks out whisper singing.”
Alex and Erin sittin’ in a tree K.I.S.S.I.N.G first comes love then comes marriage here come a puppy in a baby carriage.” She says as she walks out of the room with a skip before waiting for the other two.
As he got knocked forward it took a lot of balance not to fall on top of Erin. He made sure that they didn’t fall over, but he realized that they had technically kissed during the motion.
”Uhh. I guess that was our first kiss.” Then he blushed. Actually it was his first kiss altogether, but he doubted he would ever tell anyone that.
Erin pulled Alex closer, not caring about earlier, and smiled.
” I would be upset if you never did it again.” she said in a sweet and innocent voice. Haru chuckled as Maxine giggled. She grabbed her boyfriend’s hand and intertwined their fingers.” We’ll leave you guys alone. Alex, don't do anything I wouldn't do.” They quickly followed after Camy leaving the two alone.
