Charles would be in the shuttle in the hanger sitting in his seat with his eyes closed and head tilted down, as he waits for the other scientists to arrive, aslong with the escorts, heavy hitters, and support.

Luka shrugged and gave a smile. "Probably, but what I'm supposed to be doing is boring as all hell. Listening to you play that thing is much better." She then quieted down to listen to the unfamiliar song.

Rocky looked down at the small jar clenched in his hand silently for a moment, as if there was some sort of wisdom to be found within the murky looking paste. "Jeheh-kay?" He rumbled experimentally in his attempt to pronounce the dish's name. The idea of eating fermented fish guts and bottom feeders didn't faze him in the slightest, like all his people he was a firm believer in the idea that unless it was toxic, all meat was good meat if prepared right. The Skälen looked to the diminutive scientist and nodded enthusiastically to make up for his inability to smile, "I'll keep that in mind!". There was a small moment of silence that hung in the air, one that was once more shattered as a thought crossed Rocky's mind and prompted him to speak once more, "Hey, you're a scientist, right? You going on that planetside trip too?".

As Lyco sat in the smoke filled office he considers hitting the sauce well before five o clock when he received a message on his communicator. Quickly pulling it out he activated it "Lycos here," the former legionnaire said to the hologram of a woman wearing a lab coat. "Greetings Mr. Schal you have been assigned to the security detail of the next expedition. Please report to hanger delta as soon as possible," with that the communicator turn off. Getting up out of his chair Lyco left his small office to head to his equipment locker. After gathering his weapons and combat armor he left for hanger delta to join the expedition.

Kabiri nodded, silently finding it quite funny that he was totally unfazed by the jhekhe. "I'm not exactly a scientist, but yes, I'm going on the expedition. I'm looking forward to seeing Vazoon with my own eyes." she remarked, craning her neck quite far back so that she could look Rocky in the eyes. "Oh! Where are my manners? My name is Kabiri Bravis, field doctor and researcher." Kabiri put out her hand to shake, as was custom among Terrans. She didn't know anything about Skälen greeting customs, so she decided to go with what was most common among the station's populous; at the very least, he'd probably know what she was doing.

Rocky let out a low, raspy chuckle a bit at Kabiri's behavior. The Almyst seemed to be rather polite and comfortable in his presence, which was a refreshing chance of pace from the nervousness that was usually displayed by those that dealt with him. He took a moment to shift around what remained of his meal until it felt secure enough in the crook of his left arm for him to bend over without spilling anything. "Rakans'mei Jakarta, Talon Merc, currently acting as a security officer and lab assistant. Feel free to call me Rocky, everyone does." He said as he grasped her hand as shook it gently as he could manage. The action was rigid and controlled, clearly borne of practice rather than experience. For a second Rocky found himself taken aback as he came to the realization of how small and fragile she actually was given the way her hand felt. Why, she was even more frail than a Terran! One errant twitch would have been all that it took to crush every bone in her hand.

With that uncomfortable thought on his mind he released her from his grip, seemingly trying to be even more gentle than he had been at first. He didn't want to dwell too long on the idea, a change of subject was in order, "So what brings you to this section? I would've thought that you'd be one of the first to reach the hangar, you being excited to get on Vazoon and all. You come to grab food too?".

An announcement would ring through out the station "All members of the expedition please report to the hanger bay, take off will commence in twenty minutes" the voice would echo out. "if you do not arrive before then you will be left on the station, I repeat all members of the expedition please report to the hanger bay, twenty minutes until lift off" the announcement would turn off.

Jim kept playing, raising one eyebrow in mild interest. "And what is this that you do that is so boring?" he asked. "Does it have anything to do with that announcement?"

Kabiri shook her head, and sighed at the announcement. "No, I was just on my way to get someone. I hope I'll have enough time to find them..." she said. "I should get going so I can find them. I'll see you down there, I suppose!" with that, she started walking to the residential area. She hoped that Luka was on her way down, because if she was at her usual bar, they might not make it back in time.

Luka rolled her eyes at the announcement. "It has everything to do with that announcement." she replied, adjusting her stance so that she was leaning on her elbows against his railing. "I'm a bodyguard for one of the researchers, and I'm supposed to go down there with them. What do I need to be there for? Vicious plant samples? If they expect it to be dangerous, Galactic Forces will be down there, and they don't always take well to mercs like me. I'd rather sit this one out."

"You'd be surprised at the sheer number of vicious plants out there," Jim replied, laughing. "Well, I understand. You're still young after all. There's so much you haven't seen! There's so much you haven't done! I was young much like you once. You see, I once had this friend named Chris. Now Chris wasn't someone you'd call morally upstanding. So one day he decides to steal a car belonging to . . ." Jim proceeded to tell a funny story about Chris stealing a celebrity's car, driving it on a high speed car chase with the police, and in the end going off a highway and crashing into an IKEA.

Rocky gave a small grunt of annoyance at the announcement. He'd failed to realize how much time had actually passed, a sloppy mistake on his part. After parting ways with Kabiri Rocky half jogged back through the residential station whilst cramming what remained of his meal into his face. Once free of his burden the Skälen's pace picked up even further as his long stride coupled with the lower gravity of Kilik station allowed him to make it to hangar Delta in a fairly short amount of time, though not without arriving a puffing and wheezing mess due to a combination of low oxygen intake and some cramping from the post meal run. Once he managed to grab himself a free seat Rocky spared himself a moment to catch his breath a bit before he bothered to look around and see who else was there.

Lycos was thankful that the office was not that far away from the hangers as he begin his trek to the hanger. Hearing the announcement about the expedition he hurried to hanger delta. Arriving hanger he quickly found the ship and boarded. The former Legionnaire quickly notice Rocky "Hey Rocky good to see you going to be coming along," he said to the Skälen.

Luka listened and laughed heartily at the story. Earth sounded like the kind of place she'd like to be; it sounded exciting and varied, and full of fascinating people.

Kabiri simply couldn't find Luka, and she was running out of time. She first went to look in the bar that Luka usually retreated to, but it was closed, and she wasn't anywhere along the route to it. Kabiri figured that Luka would've known her usual haunt was closed and had headed to another one, but the Almyst didn't know of any others and didn't have the time to look. Exasperated, she left the residential area and headed to the Delta hangar.

The ship would be loaded with a lot of crates of equipment, and over 4 types of cages, there would be room for 50 people on the shuttle. half of which was taken up by scientists, the other half being the various hired people for the job. there would only be two galactic forces officers on the ship. Their entire job was to ensure no members of the expedition betrayed the others for some kind of reason, so they are just policing the members of the expedition. Charles would make sure at the people there, with Kabiri barely making it on time, he would nod towards her before grabbing the ships announcement system "This will be a specimen run" he states "it is unknown how long the expedition will last so scientists are prepared to preform experiments planet side, and there is various provisions gathered for a month trip should it be required" he states to them all "The goal is to capture various members of the wild life for testing, and if you run across any unknown flora then gather that as well" he says "now enjoy the trip" he says before putting the radio down and walks through the door into the cockpit and begins the pre-flight checks.

As his breathing took on a more regular pace Rocky glanced in the direction of the voice that had called his nickname and was treated to the site of a familiar face. Lycos, a fellow Talon merc, sat not too far off, prompting an approving nod from the Skälen, "Likewise. " he stated plainly. After his greeting Rocky sat by quietly as people and cargo filed in before tilting his head up to look at the announcement speaker as it came to life. A potential month long trip on a jungle planet? Rocky approved. Rocky approved greatly. The bit about specimens needing to be alive was a bit of a bummer to him though. He rather disapproved of the idea of hunting something down only to not eat it after catching it, but he supposed he'd have to tolerate it if he was to collect his pay.

Kabiri made a mental note to jettison Luka into space if this trip lasted a month. She was interested to see Vazoon with her own eyes; not just the fauna, but the flora as well. Having been a traditional monk of Zyl and being a skilled medic, she was always interested in finding natural remedies and cures for common ailments. She hoped to find this on the jungle planet. She mingled through the room, trying to find a familiar face or an empty place by a window. Being over a head shorter than most beings on the expedition sometimes had its disadvantages.

"Anyway, I ramble. Earth is certainly often overshadowed by larger, more relevant places and events. It's always nice when others are at all interested in it," Jim said, picking up the tune again.

Being a full head and shoulders taller than most everyone he met outside of his own species held certain boons for Rocky; boons such as having a higher vantage point even from a seated position. He could just barely make out the face of the Almyst woman he'd met earlier as she tried to jostle her way through the crowd to find a spare seat. With so few willing to actually sit next to him with other seats still available, this left Rocky with a few free spaces near him that he'd originally planned to make use of to stretch out comfortably, however seeing as Kabiri was actually somewhat amusing to him he couldn't really find a reason not to part with a little bit of elbow room. With a soft hiss Rocky stood from his seat in an attempt to get Kabiri's attention, "Doctor Bravis, if you're looking for a place to sit then i've got a seat or two to spare here!".

Kabiri heard Rocky before she saw him, and made her way to the voice. She smiled when she saw the Skälen. "Glad to see you again, Rocky." she said as she sat down. The two of them were quite a spectacle; a tiny avian and a giant reptilian exchanging pleasantries. "You don't need to call me by my last name; Kabiri is fine."

The shuttle would lurch some as it began to take off, fly out the hanger, and down to the planet. Charles' voice would come onto the intercom again after a few minutes, "fifteen minutes until we arrive at the landing zone, make sure your prepared" he states as the intercom goes off. The shuttle would have small windows on either side since it was a simple transport vessel, out of the windows they can see the planet coming closer than clouds, then trees raging for miles. They would land in a wide open clearing that's surrounded by trees. The thick jungle ever so looming as if wanting to take everything. Sounds of wild animals can be heard off in the distance, the distinct caws of birds all around.
