While Julia did study she wasn't a constant book-worm, so the first comment didn't bother her. No, it was when the 'No friends' part that bothered the redhead so badly. Small flames were flicking off her fingertips. She took a deep breath and planned her next move carefully. Her dark eyes slowly peeled around to give the asshole behind her to give him the death glare. She was about to open her mouth to speak when several people jumped into the conversation. One she got the feeling was telling her to shut up, the male sitting next to the original boy. Then the girl who sat behind them all defending her. She gave a slight nod to the girl behind the boy as the girl spoke.

Then she noticed the smirk on that played on his face. He was playing with her. He thought he was clever and liked taunting her. That's when she began to smile. Two could play the game. Her dark eyes lightened and she even laughed a bit.

"Yes I might be a friendless nerd, but that'll get me somewhere in life. Unlike you, since being an asshole won't get you anywhere. So go on then and listen to your friend and cool it. " Her eyes were challenging him, seeing what he could throw back. Or even if he would.

After asking Andy her question, Lynx attention was immediately caught by the chaos but she said and did nothing. staying in the same position till she composed her, she sat down and watched her classmates.

Peyton glanced over her shoulder and looked at the fray unfolding behind her. She rolled her eyes and sighed quietly. One class. One class without drama. She forgot her task at hand and the flowers wilted on her desk. "I am so done with this," she muttered. Her fingers tapped quietly on the wooden surface of her desk as she turned to the clock once more. Just a few more minutes. Just a few. The commotion was getting louder behind her. She cringed. Something very bad was likely to happen. Jullia was pretty good with fire, and Cal was pushing her buttons.

A few other people were getting into the conversation, but he didn't pay much mind. He simply waved him off with his hand and turned back to the girl in front of him. He was getting her a heated up and soon she would boil over, maybe he needed to calm things down, she did say to cool it after all. The smirk on his face widened and he gave out a small chuckle and a lighthearted sigh.

"Allright sweetheart, you want me to cool it? I'll cool it." He put emphasis on the 'cool it, part, and sent a small jet of water at the girl's face. "That cold enough for ya'?" Cal started to form water droplets in his hand in case he needed something to put out her oncoming flames with, if she did do that.

Lynx HAVEING had enough of there bickering, getting a headache, sent a terrable (yet silent) Thunder storm over the heads of those arguing. Though deep down she actually wanted to join in but was to she to speak up, but this would have to suffice. She made sure to zap the boy flinging water at another classmate, she couldn't help but grin. Lynx, haveing only mastered this trick alone, was able to make sure that it quickly dispersed the minute the teacher looked there way.

Julia gritted her teeth as the cold water splashed her face. A water affinity. She narrowed her eyes and gave him a small smirk. Her mind was whirring. The flame within her was starting to get stronger and that usually wasn't a good idea. she took a calming breath and laughed. A rich full laugh that echoed around the classroom. Then it simply got better, the smirking boy was shocked. She rose from her chair and laughed again.

"Sweetheart? Sweetheart? Ha!" Julia said with sarcasm dripping from every pore of her body. Her dark eyes narrowed as she stared down at him. "I'm not sweet and I don't have a heart." A Cheshire cat grin slid onto her face and she pressed one finger on the pitiful vines and one small flower on his desk and sent a wave of fire through them. They lay useless on the desk shriveled and black.

She spun around and headed over to Professor Flynn. "I am so sorry Professor Flynn but I'm feeling too ill to continue. May I be excused?"

Sophia raised her eyebrows at all the commotion and looked over to Peyton. "This is... Weird." There was only a few minutes left of class anyway, but she didn't think she would step in to anything like this. "Did you honestly think that excuse would work? You guys aren't exactly quiet, but class is out anyway. I believe you guys have defensive training next, try not to kill each other," professor Flynn says and waves them towards the door. Sophia gets up slowly and keeps her eye on most of the people involved, she's got her dragon and now is not the time to get in trouble.

Peyton grabbed her satchel and all but darted out of the room. Enough was enough. She was tired of trying to create vines, tired of setting things on fire, tired of conflict and people being assholes. As she walked into the hallway she glanced over her shoulder at the others leaving the room. "On to defense training," she mumbled quietly, flung her bag over her shoulder, and trudged in the direction of the gym.

Drake glad to finally stop growing things gets up. He thinks about the thunder storm for a second and then diverts course to Lynx. "That was a good move you pulled. Is it wind magic? Also thanks for that you ended the argument a bit more effectively then me." How did she do that?

Getting up Lynx looked at the boy, shocked that it got SOMEONES attention, and shook her head no. She smirked "I'd tell you but that would be no fun" with that she put her backpack on which her egg was safely secured in, then followed the others out the door to the next class.

Cal raised an eyebrow when she went all psycho. Not really what he was expecting. Was he scared? No. So she can lose control and burn some vines, big deal. When she tried to pull that excuse that she was feeling to ill to continue and it got rejected he chuckled a little, but kept it to himself.

He put his backpack on his desk and opened up the zipper, watching the silver slashes of his egg sparkle in the classroom's lights. He then zipped it back up and slung it over his shoulder and walked out of the class. He lost his smirk when he saw Sophia. He had seen her around a lot, mainly because he was looking for her a lot, hoping to catch her eyes, but never really had the confidence to talk to her, so instead he would just walk next to her in silence. He wanted to start conversation but didn't really know what to say. Probably nothing, considering what just happened in the classroom, so he just walked on in silence, hoping maybe she would say something instead.

Drago raised an eyebrow at his sister's expression. He had never been good at reading things from the world. Tarot, alcohol, people. Those things he was good at. So instead of puzzling it out on his own he leaned over to Clara. All she did was point up to where a girl was leaning back in her chair. Then the argument struck. That was the thing with fortunetelling. Most where simple and happened soon after. The two twins stayed out of the argument. Thankfully class was nearly over and they were dismissed for Defensive Training. The twins gathered their things and headed out the door.

Julia didn't believe her excuse would really work, but it got her away. She almost ran out of the class as Professor Flynn dismissed them. Her heart thundering and her ears bashful. She really hated herself. She had let her anger get the better of her and she was pissed at herself. With her element, going out of control was dangerous. She couldn't afford to hit someone in the face with her element. She gritted her teeth and realized defensive training was next. Going to that class, with the same people she had just embarrassed herself in front of didn't sound to joyful at the moment. But she couldn't afford to miss this class. So begrudgingly she headed to her next class. Head held down, not looking at anyone. She took a breathe and shrugged off the shame. She had brought the fight and she would deal with it.

Watching as students left the classroom, Athena pulled her bag up onto her shoulder. She could hardly tell her egg was in there, and quickly snuck a glance, just to make sure. She didn't like leaving her egg unattended, so she always carried it in her bag, even if she didn't need it. She was really grateful that her egg didn't weigh much, it would be a pain lugging around a heavy egg all day.

She left the room at a rather leisurely pace, realising that the redhead from earlier had practically legged it out of the room. Not that she was surprised. Athena made a mental note to talk to her later when she got the chance, perhaps she'd get to do it in training. Keeping herself as calm as possible (which wasn't very calm, as she was still irritated about earlier events), she hummed to herself as she followed the mass of students. She made sure to stick towards the back of the group, something about walking in front of people was just... unnerving.

It was almost comically how everyone who had been in the argument seemed to be subdued as they walked to the next class. Sophia had somewhat expected the fight to continue when they left the classroom. Of course, Julia had taken off pretty quickly so she supposed that wasn't likely to happen even if the others wanted. As long as they could all keep their tempers in check during training, she supposed she didn't much care what fights they got in.

She hadn't seen Peyton leave so she's not sure exactly where she had gotten to. Now she had Cal walking beside her and if that wasn't weird. Everyone had been ready to yell at him earlier and might think she was picking sides or something. "Try not to kill anyone during training," she joked, never able to let awkward silences continue. "I think they frown upon that sort of thing here."

Lynx walked out of the class, and followed behind the others who she considered her peers (the students involved in the argument). Her goal today, to make at least one friend!

Peyton glanced over her shoulder as she trudged down the hall and looked for Sophia. She felt like they had made some connection at becoming friends because she actually responded to Peyton. Her eyes landed on Cal walking beside Sophia, laughing slightly. Maybe Peyton had read too much into the argument that had just happened. Maybe Cal wasn't actually a bad dude. She shrugged and turned the corner to the gym where the defensive training was held. "I wonder what type of defense we will be going over today?" She wondered out loud as she gently dropped her satchel onto the bleachers in front of her. She unzipped the bag and stroked her dragon egg as she watched the others enter the room. Peyton was far to excited for this class. She may be quiet on the outside and not interact with people socially a lot, but when it comes to fighting she is like a fire cracker. She fought like she had nothing to lose, and she wasn't afraid. When she was fighting whether it is offensive or defensive, she fought with the heart of a dragon. She tried to catch Sophia and Cal's eye as they entered the gym.

"Welcome!" The instructor cheers when the class gets to the gym. She's a bit older than Flynn, but only in to her mid to late thirties and she's one of the best fighters they have at the academy. Sophia knows so much about her and she honestly looks up to her so much. Sophia looks around when they get in and smiles when she sees Peyton, waving and heading in that direction. "You coming?" She calls to Cal and takes a seat by Peyton. "Couldn't spot you after class, sorry about that."

Professor Elle (demanding to be called by her first name) waits for the class to settle down before she clears her throat and begins talking. "Alright, listen up because this is going to change a lot for you guys. Now that most of you have your eggs we're going to be splitting you up a little. You'll be in two teams and we want you practicing together every day, even outside of this class. So the teams go as follows: team one is Carrow, Vervain, Yang, Drago Wylann, and Elmore. Team two is Clara Wylann, Lynn, Valium, Blade, and Ross. Most of your classes and activities will still be as a class, but we want you guys spending more time together. Now, for this first exercise I want you to find a partner, on the other team, and try to take each other down. No seriously hurting each other, you're just trying to immobilize the other person. She claps her hands after that to signal for them to start and Sophia raises her eyebrows. "I think you're on the other team." She's a bit sad really, she likes Peyton and thought they were getting to be pretty good friends.

"Try not to kill anyone during training, I think they frown upon that sort of thing here." Cal smiled, glad she had broken the awkward silence. I'll try," He joked, "But no promises." They then walked and turned the corner into the gym and saw Peyton looking towards them. He gave her a light smile, and then sat down next to Sophia.

Cal had no problem listening to the instructor, until she said his name to be in the group with Vervain. The thought of him having to spend more time with the psycho who almost out his desk on fire was something he didn't want to think about, plus, he was really hoping to kick her ass during this class but now he couldn't. After the instructor was done talking Cal stood up and walked over to one of the people on the opposing team, not making eye contact with Julia as he walked by.

"Excuse me," He said with a smile, "Would you mind being my dueling partner? I'll try not to kill you," he said with a lighthearted chuckle. @Eragon

@BookDragonDrago huffed a little as he and his twin were the only ones that warranted first and last names. Yes they were siblings. Hooray. He eyed the line up of the other team. His sister was looking a little out of place. She was never as sociable as he was. Then his blue eyes settled on Andy. She was four years older than him and the only other eggless student in their class. He swaggered on over to her.

"Hey Andy. Want to spar? Us eggless poor saps should stick together." Drago wiggled his eyebrows to show that he was teasing.

Clara was kind of hoping that since Drago was on the other team they'd team up. Until he want over to Andy and pulled some pathetic flirting. Clara rolled her eyes and sighed loudly. The dweeb. Then she hunched her shoulders slightly, took a step back so that she was out of the immediate group and watched as the other students started to pair off. She'd have to find a partner eventually because there were ten of them (an even number) but she was also content to wait until there was just one poor soul left.
