@Framing A Mooseummm they would be required unless their was a reason like infertility. Marriage won't hold the peace. Villians rarely care if they hurt distant relatives.

Dude, she's marrying a dead guy. I don't think he's packing any junk in the trunk.

I'm not sure if a Halloweentown creature can even have children with a human. I don't see how that'd work.

Well, if Pheonix doesn't have to A) have sex with John, B) get pregnant, or C) act like she's in any sort of romantic relationship with John, I don't think she'd be opposed to taking care of kids.

@Framing A Moose I don't think there's away around the pregnancy part. I don't think too many people will accept the child as hers if she doesn't care it.

Sure they do. That's like saying if someone adopts a child, they can't care about it.

@Framing A Moose But would Phoenix's father or any of his allies consider the child hers?

A. He doesn't have any allies.
B. Well, we'd have to see if he considers it hers.
C. I thought of another reason why he couldn't get her pregnant: birds reproduce differently than mammals, and Pheonix is a bird.

A. Everyone has allie of some sort. No villian is completely on their own.
B. If there wasnt even a chance of her father accepting it there is no reason to allow it. The idea is bind the villians to heros in a way that will make them hesitate to attack. Without that there is no reason for her to be in the program.
C. They could still reproduce so children are still possible. Magic can over come alot.

A. The Firebird is. He has no reason to have allies. His only goal is to destroy his island over and over, which he is perfectly capable of doing by himself.
B. It's possible that he may hesitate, but it's also possible that he may not. But otherwise, there's a 100% chance he's not gonna hesitate. It's worth the risk.
C. Including changing biology? Besides, if magic is the reason for the child's creation, then it's still not natural, which would make its grandparents just as unlikely to accept it as an adoption, or a non pregnant birth.

If there are no allies to use against the firebird and only a small chance in him hesitating their is no reason for Phoenix to be accepted. She has nothing to offer.

I never said that it was a small chance. I just said a chance. I'd say it's 50/50. And while the Firebird does tend to stick to its island, he is a very powerful creature who's capable of mass destruction. That's not something you wanna gamble with.

@Framing A Moose your missing the point Moose. If Firebird isn't a threat, has no allies, and a child may or may not bind him to another family then Phoenix has nothing to offer.

Inorrect. The Firebird is very much a threat. Though he has not yet gone very far off of his island, it's very possible that he will, and if he doesn't have a loved one who likes the world, then he ain't going to hesitate. Unlike everyone else, this marriage isn't about balancing good and evil, but rather balancing the world and the Firebird.

I think I was rememberin one of Bright's suggestion for why Phoenix would join. I still don't think just his daughter could keep him from destroy other. If it was there would be no need for someone to approach Firebird about the program. Nor is there a reason for him to agree to putting her into an arrange marriage.
