There needs to be a mass deportation of Russians from Eastern Europe. Estonia down to Moldova has to be completely purified.

Russia has plenty of empty land, right? Send the Baltic Russians to populate it, and have the Ukrainian Russians join them.

Becouse deportation solves shit? lol. However, Putin has been muscling so much influence onto neigbouring countries for so long, there has to be reprecussions sooner or later. Russia is getting ballsier and ballsier. The blackmailed Ukraining goverment to backing out from deals with the EU. That's what started this shit. And Ukraine is a warzone at this point.

I thought there was something about the government passing a law all fast-and-loose and getting people upset as well?

Yeah, that's the extent of my knowledge about it.

The protests started before that. It turned violent when the goverment basicly tried to outlaw protesting. But there is a clause in Ukranian law that goes :"If The Man says you cannot protest, shit be wacked, fight the popo".

And then they did.

What does Dominic Howard have to do with the astoundingly successful nature of mass deportation?

Because expressing my disbelief at your post was more fun that way.

It's a good alternative to genocide. There are some conflicts that can't be resolved, and the only way to fix a relationship of mutual hatred is to either eliminate one of the parties or separate them.

Russians in the Baltics and in Ukraine are always going to vote in Russia's interest over that of their respective country. In the case of the Baltics, they refuse to go to their home country, as has been offered to them by programs from both the Baltic and Russian governments, and instead expect their country to come to them. It's something that can't be resolved, because asking one side to concede is asking them to fundamentally alter their identity. The only solution for Russians outside of Russia is a return to Russia.

It's happened before, and again in the case of the Baltics is happening as we speak, only at a smaller scale.

It might be smarter for people at risk to move, assuming they can, but forced deportation always sucks.

Example A: Immigrants being forced out of what they're trying to establish as new homes, like Russians during one of the peaks of the Red Scare, because of fear, nativism/nationalism, and other nonsense. Very rarely having anything to do with what the immigrants did, beyond trying to move to the US in the first place.
