I think I should post my first IC post when everyone else's ships have warped in, because the Paramount is, you know, massive, the largest ship here. It's probably gonna take some time, though.

I had completely forgotten.
Could I add an artifact to my ship? It'l be a database of compressed information, the Grand Library that they had been defending. Decompressing the information would take absurdly long amounts of time, so it's not immediately useful.
It'd be like a plot device I guess. Something for the Forged to defend.

Sounds fine to me, @Skyrte.

@Hostile Eh. Personally, I've found that whenever I wait for just the right moment to post, it never arrives. Trust me, we can roleplay being impressed by your giant ship regardless of which post it happens to enter on. At the very least, those of us under 1km can. Better to post and keep a flow going, I think. That way you can have a thousand posts; a bunch with mediocre timing, some with perfect amazing timing, and a few forgettable ones where your timing was off but nobody remembers those anyway.

It's for that same reason that I hate intro posts. There's so much I feel like I have to get right that sometimes I don't post for, like, four days or something, and then I've lost the RP. Ultimately, there is no perfect post, just acceptably-flawed ones that some people happen to like more than others.

But I'm not going to make you post right away, obviously. Post when you want to (as long as it's within a week).

I'll probably just wait until there're five or more posts. Besides, I'm already writing it.

@Queen Raidne
I purposefully left a spot open for someone to pop in from the wormhole and receive my transmission.

It is funny, to me, the part where you mentioned scuffing something in the wormhole/singularity. Since singularities/wormholes defy time and space it is entirely possible that each and all of us collided with each other at the same instance, but show up at different times. For example I could write my post with the reference of colliding with your shuttle, but show up hours, even days, before you did giving me the time frame of:
Singularity, collision, exit, damage assessment, repair for 12 hours, try to get engines back online 6 hours, your arrival.
Where for you the time frame would be:
Singularity, collision,(here is where I have exited and repaired for 18 hours, but for you no time has elapsed.) exit, see me sitting there.

O_o odd to think about...

I must ask about the man in the high castle, it seems rather interesting, But It doesn't really match my normal Watch last (mainly containing things such as big space ships and lasers). Would you recommend it?

[Edit:I'm just writing mine now, I'll post it after a family field trip to ikea]

@Queen Raidne Ermahgerd! STERGERT FAN!
Fun times ahead:

I remember I got hooked on it when I was pretty young. Started watching it on AXN Sci-fi like when Season 7 was airing. Also I'm really like borderline stargate fanboy, so I'm equally into SG1 SGA SGU. Even though many didn't really like SGU cause "oh noes, too much drama, no exploration" I still quite enjoyed it and was sad to see it end so soon.

Half a year ago or so I re-watched like all the series the third time I think.

Regarding characters I can dig Teal'c and Vala... but from a coolness standpoint opposed to attractiveness.
But my all time favorites have to include good ol' Jack, I just can't get enough of his humor, and Rodney McKay's cynics.

Regarding RWBY I'm really stoked to see what volume 4 has in store, now that everything has gone to shit.

Unfortunately I can't say I have seen any other series you mentioned, but I did check them out. The Expanse and The Man in the High Castle look like series I could REALLY get into.

Any anime series you might be into seeing as you watched RWBY? (I DON'T CARE WHAT PEOPLE SAY, RWBY IS ANIME TO ME >_< )

>Munches down on bonus point

EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to ask. Since the origin of your ship is based on Red Alert 2 which I've played, have you by chance played Tiberium Wars aswell, or any other Command & Conquer game for that matter?

@NanoFreakV2 here is a concise list of my top listed anime:

.//hack sign
Ghost in the shell
Cowboy Bebop
Gunslinger Girl
Ergo Proxy

This list is not in priority order since I rate these all about the same level of God tire anime.

Man in the High Castle is worth it, go watch it. It's got enough small details inside the series to make it feel "real". No spaceships or lasers, just alt history and vague hints of something strange going on with video reels. I like it.

I haven't actually watched anime aside from RWBY. I'm not fully opposed to anime, I just never got into it.

And, ALL of them. I have played all the command and conquer games. I played Red Alert 2 and Generals: Zero Hour the most; they were how I related to my stepdad for a while. Then I tried out Starcraft, and hated it. Damnit, if I spend $2000 on a carrier, it should last as long as a Kirov, not get shot down by $280 worth of tiny exploding flying bugs within a minute of launch.

Of course, only later did I realize the merits of Starcraft. It's fun playing a game that's so finely tuned with counter after counter; it's fun developing the skill to effectively play the first five minutes of a game. It's just a completely different brand of fun than "LOOK AT MY GIANT AIRSHIPS WITH MY GIANT TANKS AND YOU JUST GOT NUKED, FEAR MY COMMUNISM."

@Queen Raidne I remember how I got into the C&C series. One of the first games I ever played. C&C Renegade. Gosh the multiplayer. I LOVED it. And then there were the modded servers. At some point I got one of my best friends hooked on it and we played on coop servers... Good times. Really a huge part of my childhood.

@Hostile I did a while back, though I didn't play through the entire story. Right now doing Stellaris.
Some other similar ones I played are Star Ruler 2, Distant worlds and sins of a solar empire.

I used to play a lot of Sins of a Solar Empire with my family. Oh the days when calling each other treacherous and making false treaties. I was known quite well to never make deals that would actually hold up, and others paid dearly for it.

Don't know why, but I seem to like playing old games from the first decade than those getting released now. Like Dawn of War and Empire at War. I used to play Age of Empires III with my dad a lot. It was fun drowning his forces with massive waves of strelets.

Building a huge number of barracks and auto producing massive waves of Imperial Guardsmen and putting a rally at the enemy base is one of my favourite tactics. Along with the Basilisks, of course.

I don't suppose any of you have your ships' name or nation of origin emblazoned in big giant letters on the side? It matters because Venera's going to want to keep the fact that there are dirty, capitalist, American imperialists in space quiet. The official statement that the ships are crewed by aliens is a bit harder to cover up if you can look out a porthole and see Earth-writing.

But of course! Isn't that standard for all sci-fi ships?
