Mentioned right as Alex hugged Dexter. Y'know, it'd probably help to actually read my posts instead of going in assuming that I ignored it.

I'll keep that in mind, but I doubt the shock will be that strong considering that Zoey's been touching things all day and releasing that electrical energy. I haven't made my post yet, but it'll be in there.

@Gisk I'm super sorry. I hate to do this. This RP seemed like it had a lot of potential and I was super excited to join but after reading the IC, a lot of the story is really hard to follow and seems forced. It just feels all over the place to me. Not sure if I'm just being dense or if this RP just isn't my style. I apologize but I'm going to respectfully bow out of this one... Have fun everyone!

As well as the earlier point- powers won't be TOO strong so quick, right?

I didn't have Alex do anything more than the usual passive energy gain because clothing separates her skin from Dex's skin, or [probably] Zoey's skin.

But the way you're making it sound, Alexandra absorbs not only energy, but other powers...? Enhancing those powers in the process or something? What?

@Mr Allen J She got distracted by several people showing up, that's a perfectly reasonable thing to happen. In fact, it would be very unnatural dialogue for her to address all of the newcomers in turn and then say, "but coming back to you" all in one long speech.

Think about how conversations really go for a second; you don't doggedly stay on topic no matter what distractions crop up around you.

This is something that bothers me about a lot of RPers. Oftentimes people feel the need for their character to have a reaction to every single event that transpires between their last post and their next one. That's ridiculous, it doesn't even make sense. In conversation if you cut in every time you had something relevant to say, you'd look like a dick.

This is why I've been trying to stress shorter posts, the way things go are often strange and unnatural(as @CharmingDevil has actually noticed). Another reason is that longer posts take longer to make and longer to read, and it just stretches out time when the plot is trying to move.

@Eyeris You might be, get on skype and we'll hash it out. In the mean time, if you can post I can get things back into gear.

@Everyone: I'm working on a second series of plot motions, so that those who aren't about to be involved in the Audrey/Solomon scene will have something to be going on with.

@Gisk I wasn't saying that Audrey had to reply to everything, just that she had completely ignored what Jasmine asked, and thus, I have nothing for her to say. Though, it does look weird for Audrey to suddenly go quiet. Unless I have her urge Audrey to answer her questions, there is nothing for Jasmine to do.

There is no need to go into a tangent about what is natural dialogue or not. Especially, when that simple scene shouldn't have had so many characters stumble across them in the first place.

It was also a dick move, because I'm sure everyone here knows that open conflict harms RPs. So thanks for being a deliberate detriment, that's a very mature way to handle this.

Kicking Junk at this moment was detrimental too. My character is too involved with him to easily deal with him suddenly disappearing, as well as with Zoey's.

I thought @JunkMail and @Mr Allen J were pretty neat and real chill; they, as well as myself, have been posting the most and been trying to get a good bit of IC up and going. You, @Gisk, didn't provide as much information as we needed to feel confident as to where we start our posts, and then you kinda dictated how our characters' powers should be via OOC- that's not cool, man, but okay, whatever, no use getting riled up by the little things. But now the two people that I've been interacting with are out, and I don't really want the GM of the roleplay- granted, you do have a vision for this- to tell me how my power is supposed to be, exactly, as opposed to just letting my char be my char. Not helpful when my power description isn't as thorough- I didn't know she amplified others' powers, or anything like that.

Sorry, but I'm out too. It was a little too confusing to begin with, got a rocky start, and now it'd be even rockier if I stayed in.

@OfWindAndRain Not that it matters anymore, but she doesn't amplify others powers, she has the ability to borrow them while touching others(which is in the description given). So in those cases it's not that she made either of the others stronger, but rather that she was simply having the same effect at the same time. Please don't blame me for not being thorough in my writing, I did in fact give you that information.

As for me dictating how powers work, well that's kind of the point of this RP, isn't it? I didn't tell anyone how their character should behave, I just wanted to remind you of when your power becomes applicable.

If you didn't feel you had enough information, you could have asked for more. I felt like I had given enough to be getting on with, and I was working towards more to be revealed very early in the story. If it was not enough, I understand that. It's easy to think that the plot one is writing is obvious when it really isn't from the outside.

I had no problems with Allen, but Junk was rude. There is a polite way to express a grievance, sarcasm is not that. When I asked him to watch it, I was met with more sarcasm(and a vague implication that I was lying). It sucks to lose active(indeed the most active) players, but in my opinion it's worse to have someone who is going to treat people with such disrespect around.

It sucks for others to follow him too, but I don't feel bad for kicking him.

Hey guys. Really sorry about this. But school and work are too difficult to manage alongside this RP. I really wanted to go somewhere with this, I loved the concept. But I have neither the time nor creative energy to manage it alongside maintaining school, a job, and existing OOG relationships. Best wishes, but consider me out.
