This section is a work in progress!

But for now I wanted to get a place up and running where we can pool our ideas together.

We're taking inspiration from the world of Dragon Age and are playing as four characters who have to come together to save the world from being torn apart. We wanted to have the spirits of The Fade breaking away from the real world itself, thus causing all sorts of trouble for both worlds. The Fade would have a general horrific ruler who is behind the disconnect and two of our characters would possibly be spirits inhabiting human bodies to help our human characters travel between the worlds. We should collect our thoughts here and figure out our characters and starting point. :)

This post will be updated to look prettier as time allows.

Did you have a pref. for whether or not we'd use images or just stick to descriptions? I tend to prefer uniformity so as long as I know where you're leaning, I can figure out if I'm image-hunting or not. XD

XD Images it is! It's been a crazy birthday weekend for me but I do have a few images in mind so when I get on my PC I"ll shuffle through em. No rush though haha.

I haven't had a good chance to research the different nations all that much. Been fairly busy at work.

I will, however, redouble my efforts and come up with something in the next couple days.
(I found some pictures for inspiration at least! So that's helping...)

So would our characters know each other through... some organization or because of some mandate? I know they'll probably have similar goals in lieu of the problem in the Fade, but what brought them together in the first place? Divine intervention notwithstanding, lol.

More essay than exams honestly. The trick is as soon as you finish one essay, two reproduce in its place. :/

Last quarter. It feels good. Been applying to jobs and doing interviews. That is stress. :/

My life is stress lol this is all I know.

Needless to say my days as a college student are very limited, less than two months to go!

Life's been hectic for the past few months.

The holiday season is luckily over, but now I have classes and certification exams to worry about. It'll be awhile yet before I can catch a break, but I'm not too worried about it. In fact, I'm pretty happy with where I'm headed.

Bonus points: I may get a civil service job soon!

Certification? Is that through online? And it sounds like you'll be getting a job upgrade yeah? :)

Oh'boy is it an upgrade! xD

Right now, I'm underpaid by about 40% compared to current average wages for my career field and experience level. I'm only sticking around because of the health insurance and the fact I can work as much overtime as I want, despite being paid hourly.

Some of the technical certifications exams are online, one of them is written. Once I'm done with them though, I can apply to be a contracted consultant for the military bases in my area, or I can work for the civil service (preferrably foreign services but that would take some work).

That sounds like a pretty sweet upgrade! Sounds like a lot of better options are opening up and likely have better benefits as well. :) I'm so jealous of your prospects but I know it took/takes a lot of work to get there, I'm sure well earned.

My end goal is to work IT for Civil Service, preferably in some asian nation. As much as I want to learn japanese, I'm probably better off learning Korean instead. It's projected to be in high demand for at least the next 5-7 years.

I can teach you a bit of Japanese on the side if you can teach me a bit of Korean.

I'm still quite new to Korean, so I don't how much teaching will happen. xD
But, I would love to take you up on your offer when things slow down a little!
