Vega Ashworth

Location: Harpy Wing Guild Hall

The moment the wind picked up, he felt a gut instinct to prepare himself. This was no normal breeze, and in his years of combat, he caught the empty spray as it flew back at him again as he turned around, before properly discarding it at his feet. He was hoping it wouldn't be crowded, and really, it wasn't. He never expected to haul in such a large catch, the guildmaster herself.

"Must really be getting up in those years if you don't remember my name, senile old hag. I just thought I'd give this home of yours a modern touch, trust me, your kids'll love it", he responded, almost immediately. There was a low and careless drone in his voice too. It was true, he has been here for a year, and his name really made it's rounds around Harpy's guild hall in his first few months in Golem Hand, as he was notorious for starting fights and provoking Harpy guild members. His posture snapped back into a callous and lax lean with his hands in his pockets. He didn't want to get into a direct fight, he need only a chance to slip out, and he was going to find that. He's never seen the Harpy guildmaster fight, so he doesn't know what she can do, whether or not he can erase her magic safely to give her the slip.

"But if you oppose this so much, maybe you should clean it like a good mother would", he felt a threat from her demeanor. It was a rare sight, this kind, but it wasn't one he would submit to, if such existed at all. He dare not take a step in any direction, he dare not look away, nor make any sudden movements. Though he has not seen it, he can feel the aura of power she exuded. A direct fight would not favor him.

Though soon as that went down, it was a nice crowd going here now. The somesuch Arwen shows up now, it's like a whole family. His entrance was as obvious as usual too, crashing down from above fancying himself like some almighty god of some kind. "Odin" or something. Whatever, didn't matter to him what he was called. His excited grin was merely returned with Vega's usual crazy grin. Even if this was a tight situation, he continued to exude a presence of confidence,

"Fancy that I was going to see myself out, it's gotten real noisy in here you know? Two little harpies chirping loud and obnoxiously in my ear about had enough. Even after this favor I did for you guys, eesh, just about had it with not being appreciated", he continued, picking his ear before motioning towards the wall and guild hall behind him, vandalized with purple and silver graffiti.

"Oh well, such is the life of a talented artist such as myself, never appreciated in their own time, hehehe...", he seemed to be having a bit of fun with this. He knew one thing though, it will not be him making the first move.

Location: Festival Food Court | Interacting With: Nezar Bistrum @LostDestiny

Plutus casually sauntered through the festival grounds, whistling away while he spun his bike keys around his index finger nonchalantly. He looked left and right with gentle cranes of his neck, rolling his eyes at the obnoxiously cheerful atmosphere that threatened to suffocate him. The children playing games, couples dancing to music and merchants talked up their wares; the whole experience was starting to make him nauseous. There was a time when a Golem's Hand festival would excite the young man, but it was clear to anyone that Plutus' attitude had become significantly more hostile when anyone brought the festivities up. Truth be told, this would be his first year attending one without his mother. His attention was brought to a young adolescent being dragged along the festival grounds with his family, and rather begrudgingly at that. Plutus used to act the same way whenever his mum insisted on going together. Despite his indifferent, passive aggressive complaints, he had actually quite enjoyed spending the time together. He wished now that he could tell her that.

Plutus was just about to continue past the food court, eager to see what bargains he could snatch from the local stalls, when a familiar face caught his eye. What he had mistaken for some gluttonous pig, stuffing his face with reckless abandon, was actually his good friend and team mate Nezar Bistrum. Messy hair, horrid table manners and a rather disheveled appearance; it was no wonder Plutus didn't recognise him. Nezar was usually much more composed than this.

Shoving his keys in his vest pocket, Plutus loitered around Nezar's table for a moment before snatching a meat skewer from his plate with a grin.
"Is this that whole 'Austerity' trend I've been hearing about?" Taking a load off on the chair opposite Nezar, Plutus took a nice long whiff of the succulent beef skewer. "You know, where rich people eat and act like poor people just 'cause it's fun." The young man added a mocking emphasis to his words, something Nezar would no doubt be quite used to by this point. Awaiting Nezar's own witty response, Plutus took a large bite out of his skewer.

~Ceri~

@Vongola_Hasayo

The small mage let out a breath she had been holding. She had thought she was about to get dragged off somewhere again and then told she was going to have to do something she didn't want too again. That would have just been too much for her to go through again, really. She might end up saying something decidedly not so nice to Kyuuten.

"U-uhm," Ceri turned to the spirit. "N-not really...just looking. M-maybe something regarding u-uhm, ancient magic or something but I don't think I'd find anything here. I was just looking for something interesting..." She shook her head, indicating a lack of success in that area as of yet.

"Yeah, thanks for interrupting that. Thaaanks, really! Now leave me alone and get back to flirting with your spirit." Ignoring her own rather snarky thoughts, she continued.

"Uhm...m-maybe...did you see anything interesting?" It was a bit of a stretch from what she knew about Kyuuten, but maybe he saw something that could have been an interesting read.

Nezar Bistrum

Location: Festival Interactions:@Leslie Hall-Plutus

Nezar was just about to grab his last meat skewer when it was taken from his plate. He looked to the culprit slightly confused before realizing who it was and grinning. Of course it was Plutus, he was the only person he could think of that would have taken food from him. He chuckled at his friend's remark. "Please, acting like a poor person isn't fun, I actually have to work for my money, not to mention I miss my army of man servants ready to cater to my every whim. This is the look of a man of wealthy upbringing coping with the life of a commoner such as yourself. I never should have left my rich rich parents to join a silly guild and befriend the town delinquent." Nezar had purposely changed his voice to sound like that of the stereotypical member of the first class. Plutus knew all to well how much Nez enjoyed working for his wages, but he insisted on teasing him about his upbringing anyway. Nez, of course would also take stabs at himself, as well as tease Plutus back. He knew better than to bring up certain aspects of Plutus's past but other than that the two would tease each other to their heart's content.

The two were a strange pair indeed, seeming at first glance to be polar opposites. The (former) rich kid with a heart of gold and the delinquent child with no heart at all, however somehow the two were close friends. Nezar would even go as far as calling Plutus his best friend. After shoveling a bit more food in his mouth he chuckled. "Anyway, no, I am fully aware that I look like a street rat who hasn't eaten in weeks. I just got back from a job and was starving so I came directly here. Also this is my first time coming to the festival. My snooty parents never let me because they didn't want me mingling with common folk. They were afraid I would make friends with people like you. You know, bad influences." He put air quotes around the words bad influences. Really that wasn't true though. He lived a good distance from the town and his parents were to busy to take him and he didn't want to go alone. "What have you been up to while I was gone, get into any trouble?" He asked, ignoring the fact that his friend had just stolen his food, it wasn't the first time and it certainly wouldn't be the last.
