The Thousand Sons are certainly not more powerful than other legions, not by a long shot, although it is true that - on a one on one level at least - your character may be more powerful than others. It is also true however that he is rather unbalancing this entire RP at the moment, the rest of us no more than 'mere mortals' in comparison to him, and I believe it is this that Ollum is trying to get at.

You've got a couple of choices really.

A) You reel back on, as Ollum rightly said, pretty much being a God among us - a direct plasma bolt probably would have annihilated you there and then, magic or no.

B) He gets blown apart/torn apart/executed in some way or another, you then replace him with a more 'standard' character; this is supposed to be a Long War after all.

C) We come to some sort of arrangement that pleases all parties.

I will reduce his powers, although I think blowing up a gun is pretty low key.

The gun was an annoyance but admittedly a lesser concern compared to the casual amount of power you are claiming to have with his character. Just injecting yourself as automatically the greatest of us and saying 'I'M a thousand son member' as if that makes you greater than anything our characters could ever hope to match and somehow granted permission to do anything to anyone without fear of serious retaliation. As if your Legion somehow ruled over all over chaos.

Essentially the point I tried to raise with all this is, if you wanted to be so powerful out of the gate, why did any of us need to be here? What could we hope to accomplish in comparison?

I concede sorcerers are powerful. Very much so, but the rest of us need to feel not useless or obsolete by comparison

I'm not trying to be an ass, just expanding on my point. From my perspective, why bother going up against some immesurably more powerful than yourself?

Not really. Based on your spiel about being more powerful than any of us and your characters ability to draw heavily on the warp so frequently in such a short amount of time with seemingly no fatigue, not even a nose bleed to show for all the effort of blocking a full on plasma blast *and* casually flicking his wrist to blow up a weapon but also simultaneously containing what would be a disastrous explosion..... Do you see my point?

I am only my building my consensus based on the information in these threads.

@Ollumhammersong it's not like that at all. You don't sound like you've read Thousand Sons the novel. It would give you more of an accurate impression.

Also, I count surviving the plasma blast as a very lucky and unique event. It was difficult, and I described it as such.

One might say your use of a plasma weapon to one-shot a character is equally as OP as any sorcery spell. What is the difference? Why do you get that ability and I can do nothing about it? Why not vice versa even a little bit? But look, I'm not complaining, because I trust you as a player. So just calm down.

I cleared the plasma blast with you well before I posted. Knowing your powers and plot armour would protect you. I would never have done a post like that with the intention of killing another player or permanently damaging/hamerping them, at least not so early in the rp.

I was actually having a conversation with Asura about this recently. I think a problem with Warhammer rps right now is that for once, there is a saturated market on this site. Perhaps too many rps. People are starting to feel burnt out on Warhammer. Its The same 30 people who join Warhammer rps generally, And those that were going to join would have already. It's not like this thread isn't active and there is no way it has gone unnoticed.

I don't know for certain and I can't speak for other people. But aside from this rp, I personally don't feel like joining other Warhammer rps. I considered rebooting an idea of my own from awhile back but I'm not sure if it will gain any more traction for the stated reasons.
