Love is a powerful emotion. It is sought after by all, coveted by many, treasured by some and discarded by those that fail to understand it. But what does love truly mean? Is it saying I love you? Is it the giving of gifts? Is it a kiss in the rain? Or a comforting pat on the shoulder?

Love is patient.
Love is kind.
It does not envy.
It does not boast.
It is not proud.
It is not rude.
It is not self seeking.
It is not easily angered.
It keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.
It always protect, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

Words that may hold meaning for the hopeless romantic but may be meaningless to the jaded. In the modern world where money is spent with a click of a button and things are obtained with a snap of a finger, what is love?

"Look at these humans, going on with their lives, taking everything for granted. It is such a shame to see them waste that opportunity to love and be truly loved," Erissa sighed, leaning her heart shaped face onto her hand.

"What are you talking about, my dear Erissa? It is quite amusing to see them flounder and look for meaning in their mundane lives. Betrayal, jealousy. It's all so marvelously delicious. Why, look at these young humans," the darker Cirrus pointed a crooked finger at a couple. "Pretending to be in love when there is barely anything there. Tomorrow will never be better." he cackled.

"It is a pity but there are some that make it through somehow. Love will always find a way," a dreamy look settled over Erissa's face.

Cirrus shook his head, an almost disgusted look on his face. "Will it? Would you put your life on the line for that hopeless belief?"

A brilliant smile pulled the edges of Erissa's lips up. "Is that a wager I hear in your voice?"

"But of course. The winner shall receive eternal servitude of the loser."

"I believe we have ourselves a deal."

The Plot

You will be playing a human in whatever walk of life you want your character to come from. He/she will, at the start of the story, be coerced into an arranged marriage. Feel free to narrate how your character found herself/himself in that situation. But before you find out who you'll be paired with, our naughty wagering fairies, Erissa and Cirrus, will meddle with your lives. They transport you characters into their magical world where you will be paired randomly with another character (no one knows if it's the same person you were gonna be paired with in the real world). The fairies will then put all characters through tests (in the form of games) to prove if love really can find a way to put together those that are meant to love each other.

I will need 10 players (may increase the cap if there are a lot of interest): 5 male and 5 female characters. Each player may only play one character. I will update this list once I start approving character sheets. Opened up two more slots. Last male slot open. We are now officially full. I might open more slots later for interested players though. Reopened the application for the last male slot. No longer accepting characters for now. Application may open again later on depending on how the story progresses.

4. I'd like to see two or more paragraphs per post but I do get that sometimes you can only post so much. Please, please no one liners though. That would make me and most people lose interest.
5. Please do not create any trouble. If you find that you're at odds with someone (even me), please talk it out with the concerned party via PM. If you need help with dealing with someone, feel free to ask me for help.
6. Let's keep this wholesome, please. Holding hands and kissing is perfectly fine. Anything beyond it goes to PM.
7. The GM may opt to kick out unruly/rude players. Rest assured that if I am to kick someone out, I will inform said player before I do it.
8. If for some reason you need to be away for a while, please inform me so that I can pilot your character or write him her into the sidelines for the duration of your absence.
9. If you have lost interest and just want to quit, please inform me before you completely disappear.
10. Have fun. That's the main purpose of the game.

Personality: Kieran likes to keep his nice side slightly hidden, preferring to only be truly outgoing for people who he considers his friends or people who are nice. But Kieran is bad at first impressions because of this, seeing as how he wasnt very warm to strangers. He is sarcastic and can be a little rude, but he would never purposefully screw anyone over.

Background: Kieran was a slacker for most of his life. Up until he was eighteen he put in the least amount of effort to succeed but he did in fact succeed. If he had been allowed to go about his life he would have made it far, in his own way, but it was not meant to be. When he was eighteen his father shipped him off to the army, where he turned out to excell. Kieran was put into advance training early on, given skills involving hand to hand combat with amazing reflexes and perception. He was also taught how to shoot and was given the job of signal specialist. He learned how to operate, maintain, and repair all communication equipment in the military. During his first tour over seas, he was in quite a few firefights and was heavily injured in an IED explosion.

Kieran faked it until he couldnt fake it, and was sent to medical to be checked out. He had sever back injuries and was sent home, unfit for active duty. He spent two and a half years in the army, and was given an honorable disharge but none of the benefits since he lied about not having an injury. When he got back, shortly before his 21'st birthday, he sold his first book he had been working on while in the army. It was called "New Voyage" and it was a sci-fy book. It sold very well and Kieran was paid quite the small fortune. So he was convinced to make it his career.

A few months after turning 21, Kierans father informed him of something. His father had, as it turned out, amassed quite a bit of gambling debt. Kierans father had a plan though. He talked to another family, who wanted to marry of their young daughter, and agreed on Kierans behalf for Kieran to take the young women as his wife. But what Kierans dad didnt tell them, but told Kieran, that the plan was to take out a huge life insurance policy on the young women then kill her. Kieran, outraged, all but told his father to go to hell. But after a few days and Kierans father begging, Kieran agreed. But he secretely had no intention of commiting murder for his father. He would find another way.

Likes: Spicy food, reading, writing, anime, comics, comedy.

Dislikes: cooked or steamed veggies, having to be serious for a long amount of time, biographies, auto biographies, people who are too polite all the time.

Tachi stands at 6 feet exactly with a build that makes his profession quite easy. His eyes are a deep topaz color and he seems to have this expression that says "I know you're looking". He prefers a casual style of t shirts and jeans with various shoes. His favorite oddly being a pair of high top Nikes.

Personality: Aggrpgant smart ass. Though somewhere there has to be a soft side right? Right??

Background:
Tachi was adopted into a Japanese American home. Raised with good values it all went sideways when he found out he was adopted. His sweetness became aggrogance and when he found out about why he was given up...it got worse until he got the persona he has today. He was not wanted to put it simply.

He got into stripping (heh) at the age of 18 and has horrified his adoptive parents. They decided that the best way to make him mature up would be to marry him off. At first he argued but the desperation and hurt in his adoptive parents eyes had him reluctantly agreeing.
