Abilities

Angelic Descent: Propelled by her many Valkyrie/ Angelic suits, Angela is able to control the speed of her descent from great heights and vantage points, allowing her to get away with and survive such free-falls without so much as a scratch on her body; helping her greatly when it comes to evading enemy fire, or to throw off their aim by varying the speed of her fall.

Guardian Angel: Allowing her to fly swiftly to her fallen comrades (whether alive or dead), this ability gives Angela the chance to reach them in the shortest time possible, opening up the chance for her to both get to them in time, and to provide them with the medical assistance that they need in crucial moments, or to escape from a dangerous enemy as quickly as she can- this ability also allows her to follow along behind a teammate as best as she can while tethered to them via her Caduceus staff.

Regeneration: Able to heal quite quickly from most injuries and scars; Angela has the ability to self-heal herself without seeking medical attention herself- her self-regeneration helping her greatly when she finds herself on the front lines, giving her the chance to heal her team-mates and others who get caught in the cross-fire. A surprisingly happy side effect of this ability, it is shown that Angela's body has built up an immunity to chronic illnesses such as asthma, epilepsy, and even cancer, also helping to build up a good defense system against other known and more fatal diseases.

Weapons

Caduceus Staff: One of her most prized possessions, and her primary weapon of choice, Angela's Caduceus staff is capable of producing two separate beams which allow her to help those in need during battles. The first, golden in color, allowing her to create a bond/ tether that helps to restore a person's health to it's maximum; while the second, a sky-blue in color, allowing her to create a bond/ tether that helps to increase the amount of damage a person is able to deal out to an enemy.

Caduceus Blaster: Her secondary weapon of choice, Angela's Caduceus blaster is capable of firing a stream of fast-moving projectiles which are quite similar to that of D.VA's light gun; able to automatically reload while she is focusing her attention on her staff, her blaster (while fairly weak at long ranges) can become extremely deadly at close range.

Ultimate Ability

Resurrect: Radiating with restorative power, Angela when using her ultimate ability is able to bring back her fallen allies by resurrecting them from the death's grip with full health, allowing them to once more join back in on the fight, or just giving those she loves a second chance at living their lives.











Other: Believing deep down within her heart that no one will be able to look past the mistakes and choices that she has made in her past, and see her as anything more than a helpless woman, or as Gabriel once saw her; Angela has all but given up on the thought of finding love and being truly happy.

On the rare occasion when she is seen to be happy and content with what's going on within her life, Angela can be seen to float lightly just a few inches above the ground as she moves about, and is wearing her Valkyrie/ Angelic suits- particularly when she is seen to be dancing, or when she is expressing herself in a positive way.

Brief Biography:
Fareeha Amari is the daughter of Ana Amari, one of Overwatch's founders and expert snipers. Though their relationship was strained, Fareeha still took after her and wanted to join Overwatch. She was taught by Ana how to fight and how to protect her loved ones. She enlisted in the Egyptian military and rose through the ranks, but Overwatch was disbanded before she could join. Her mother was also declared dead in a hostage rescue mission before.

Helix Security International gave Fareeha a new job guarding the Giza Plateau, where the God Program Anubis was quarantined. Fareeha, now using the call sign "Pharah", received training in the Raptora Mark VI combat suit, and eventually became lieutenant of her squadron.

In Mission Statement, Anubis managed to break free, and Pharah's squadron was sent in to disable it. Though they were successful, much of the squadron died in the fight, including its captain, Khalil. Pharah was promoted to captain as a result.

Playful Hedonistic Ambitious Kind-Hearted Irresponsible Self-Sacrificing
Outwardly shallow, Genji is someone who has a love of fine goods and surrounds himself with beautiful people. He's never been one to shy away from flaunting his family's wealth and status to achieve his primary goal in life: pleasure. In his hometown of Hanamura and later Tokyo when he moved there in his early twenties, he acquired a reputation for being a playboy––a heartbreaker interested in only meaningless, mindless fun. The rumors were not wrong.

On a more personal level, Genji has a wide circle of acquaintances but few friends and no trusted confidants. He may be more personable than his brother, friendly and charming and a shoulder to cry on, but in some ways he is just as aloof. A Shimada does not show vulnerability. A Shimada does not cry. Stoicism never worked out for Genji when it came to masking his emotions like a true ninja, so he drowns them in good humour and deflection instead. This is only marginally more acceptable, but he's not the heir, so he assumes nobody is paying attention.

It also happens to be true to his character. Genji does truly love fun; it's not an act. He's goofy, making it his life's mission to annoy his big brother as the butt of all jokes, and he takes very little seriously. He plays with the truth so much that he has been called a dishonest on several occasions, and though he's not the delusion sort of compulsive liar, he loves to exaggerate already tall-tales of his own embarrassing moments and, strangely, Hanzo's achievements.

(Rarely does Genji embellish his own stories, the positive ones about him and his deeds, and even tries to downplay them on occasion. It's almost as if he's humble, but it doesn't fit the narrative he creates for himself.)

A darker edge to Genji's personality is in his relentless chasing of a powerful adrenaline rush. Anything death-defying is his cup of tea. Often he's called the 'foolish' little brother, and this is not inaccurate in the slightest: he has no concept of his own mortality, and seems to think that he's invulnerable–until–proven–otherwise. It must be terrifying to people who care about him, seeing him sneak behind enemy lines at pick fights in which he is outnumbered.

Despite all of this, Genji seems to be, at his core, a good person. He has always despised the missions given to him by his family, though they are becoming fewer and fewer in number in recent years due to his recklessness, but he has no qualms about killing those deserving of it. It just so happens that those in need of a good beating are business partners of his family, and therefore off-limits.

He deliberately tries to be underestimated as just another kid who can't grow up because his ambition (and what an all-consuming ambition it is) will get him killed. Genji keeps his deep, innermost dreams to himself.

Training: while not exactly a 'hobby', training is the only way he knows to distract himself and release pent-up aggression.

Free-Climbing – Enough said: Genji likes danger, and rock-climbing without safety equipment is the perfect way to do that.


Connections
Because of Genji's personable, popular nature, he is acquainted with a lot of people. Some of those just happen to be useful as well as great drinking buddies: a whole host of Black Market dealers and former gangsters, graduates and drop-outs each with their own specialties. Whether this is an intentional effort to collect allies or not, only Genji himself knows, but either way such social manipulation it is a distinctly Shimada trait. Who could resist when he asks for a favour?

Unshakable Will
Genji is not easily persuaded. He's almost immune to most forms of manipulation––he's been dealing with it for his entire life, and he's developed a bit of a thick-skin when it comes to being told what to do. A bit of healthy rebellion never killed anyone! Once he is set on a task, there is no stopping him. This also applies to other ways someone might try to persuade him. (There have been several times the spare heir was kidnapped for ransom or information, and not once did he let anything slip).

Ninja
If he doesn't want to be seen, Genji won't be seen. Stealth is practically his middle name: eavesdropping, breaking and entering, misdirection, all sorts. At the same time, he's very good at avoiding assassins, too. It's hard not to be when you know their tricks. Generally this only manifests itself in being completely silent when approaching people, resulting in jump scares aplenty; he tries to make as much noise as possible in daily life so that few people realise how silent he can be when he tries.


Glass Cannon
Many have tried but none have succeeded thus far to convince Genji to wear more than the bare minimum of protective gear when on missions. Often he doesn't even bother with a stifling bulletproof vest – it's better to be fast and not get hit at all, in his mind. That means, however, that if he is pinned down and targeted, he won't last long at all––he can't keep deflecting bullets indefinitely, after all.

Honourable
Genji's main flaw as a Shimada is that he refuses to kill in an unfair fight. He does not strike from behind, or without giving the target some opportunity to ready themselves. A duel is an honourable way to die, but slitting throats in the dead of night is most certainly not. Often this sense of honor leads him to dangerous places: he puts himself at more risk, and in many (drunken) cases challenges people to brawls outside bar if given a suitable reason. He also has a strong preference to not hitting women.

Unassuming Appearance
While on rare occasions looking like an exceptionally cute rich boy who is unable to grow up might be a good thing (chatting up men and women in nightclubs, mostly) generally it only causes problems for Genji. Being treated respectfully? Not likely to happen. Intimidation? Impossible––even when he has his sword with him, many just laugh. A hero's most fatal flaw, vanity, is caused by it too, but at least he's self-aware on that front.


Shimada Genji is the youngest son and spare heir of the main family of the Shimada Clan, several years younger that his beloved older brother, Hanzo. He was born in midwinter, and before the year was over, his mother was dead; she never recovered from the strain of bringing him into this world. His father, who looked and acted like the head of an international criminal enterprise, and to Genji, he was a cold, uncaring figure––not cruel, but pragmatic. What use could he be in raising children? That was the function of his retainers.

So Genji, in a long line of Shimada sons, was trained in the same arts that Hanzo was. He was hopeless with the bow, talented at the sword (though unfortunately worse than his brother in a fair duel) but took to the ancient ways easily: the arts of infiltration and assassination grounded in the Shimada Clan's ninja heritage. On the whole, however, he was a bad student. When he was younger he was hyper-active in the classroom and didn't take to heart any of the important lessons in business and communication forced on him, and as he grew older into a teenager he became a deliberate rebel without a cause––a yankee.

There came a point where he was mostly left to his own devices, so long as he showed up in proper attire to meetings with people in power, and dabbled in high society. This was around the same time as his departure to live in Tokyo, alone: a period that involved long binges and legendary parties. To keep the money flowing into his bank account, he had to do favours for the Shimada Clan, some of which seemed to align with the goals of Talon, much to his despair. The time for Sparrow (as became his code-name in his family) to fly the nest came when he refused an assassination mission on a politician of great importance and was left with no financial aid.

The Shimada Clan did not expect him to have his own web of connections as a back-up, however, and Genji did not come crawling back, though he did agree to stay as an agent in the service of his family in a 'networking' role. Occasionally his services were required––there were quite a lot of intel-gathering missions to undertake when he received a role in Overwatch for the same purpose and moved to America––but recently they have dried up, almost as if his family are ready to cut ties entirely.

Cyber-Agility
Genji was always the fastest of the two brothers, deft and spry. Some of his agility is learned: the Shimada Clan's teachings are the origin of his near-inhuman ability to climb any surface and his impeccable balance. His reflexes and endurance are both innate and trained, allowing him to dodge attacks with ease while keeping up momentum in a drawn-out infiltration without pausing for breath. The rest––'double-jumping', in particular––comes from the use of technology (found in his combat boots) generously provided to him by his family.

Swift Strike
Genji's own signature skill, practiced over two decades of combat training, is the aptly-named Swift Strike. Making use of his abnormal agility, it looks to others as if he blurs for a moment and appears behind his target. By the time he's there, however, his dagger is already sheathed (and usually the target is bleeding on the ground, but that's not always the case). This ability is very taxing on his body, so he cannot use it immediately again––a problem he calls, "Giving his opponent a fair fight!"

Deflect
There is only one way to practice the secret art of deflecting bullets with a blade: get shot at. Genji's sharp eyes and fast reflexes allow him to raise this technique to a much higher level, although it comes at the cost of being limited in his mobility while concentrating on his movements. Certain projectiles he can bounce back at his enemies with a swift flick of the wrist, though his aim isn't always the best.

What kind of ninja would Genji be without his signature throwing stars? These shuriken are Genji's primary means of attack, and although he can use them at long-range (if a target is unawares) they are more suited to medium and close-range attacks. The method he uses to throw them changes depending on the range of targets: it could be a single, accurate stream of them, or it could be a fan of them for maximum spread.

Swords
Genji has several swords, though he is frequently seen carrying only one: the green-accented Sword of the North Wind, which he named himself after first hearing the ancient legend associated with the Shimada Clan. This remains sheathed until he feels it is time, at which point he utilises the technique Dragonblade.

Genji uses a smaller kodachi in his Deflect and Swift Strike abilities.

His other swords are a pair, and he uses them only in dire circumstances and on dangerous missions, and their names are Masamune (正宗) and Muramasa (村正)––they're priceless antiques, red in colour. Usually they are locked up in his current bedroom or hotel room.



Dragonblade
There are different accounts of what this ability actually is, and nobody seems able to come to a consensus. Genji releases his primary blade and with it becomes a terror, slicing and dicing until there are no enemies left and amping up his natural abilities to unseen levels. It is often a strain on his body, and frequently he requires a short breather after using it––time to calm shaking hands and nerves and sheathe his sword again.

Some see an illusion of a green dragon, as fierce and mischievous as its wielder himself, but that cannot be true, even though Genji insists that the essence of the technique is in spirits unknown.

The side effects of the genetic modifications were extreme. Her skin turned cold, with lack of oxygen - and began to turn blue.
All traces of human emotion were seemingly erased.

𝐁𝐈𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐇𝐘:

Widowmaker is the perfect assassin: a patient, ruthlessly efficient killer who shows neither emotion nor remorse.
It is believed that in her former life, Widowmaker was married to Gérard Lacroix, an Overwatch agent spearheading operations against the Talon terrorist organization. After several unsuccessful attempts to eliminate Gérard, Talon decided to change its focus to his wife, Amélie. Talon operatives kidnapped her and subjected her to an intense program of neural reconditioning. They broke her will, suppressed her personality, and reprogrammed her as a sleeper agent. She was eventually found by Overwatch agents, apparently none the worse for wear, and returned to her normal life.
Two weeks later she killed Gérard in his sleep.
Her mission complete, Amélie returned to Talon, and they completed the process of turning her into a living weapon. She was given extensive training in the covert arts, and then her physiology was altered, drastically slowing her heart, which turned her skin cold and blue and numbed her ability to experience human emotion. Amélie was gone.
Now, Widowmaker is Talon's most effective assassin, feeling little save the satisfaction of a job well done.

Impressive Strength: Despite stating he’d ‘like to leave the heavy lifting to the professionals’, Winston can pack a hefty punch when it’s absolutely necessary in a situation. He can lift regular human beings into the air with ease, crash through walls, and bend steel with his own sheer physical might. In his “Primal Rage” form, his strength triples, including his rage, allowing him to become a fury of terror and power towards anyone who dares stand in his way. Also, being the gorilla that he is, he’s a natural born climber.

Unbreakable Determination: Winston doesn’t give up easily. In times of hardship and stress, he always gets up from every blow and continues to do what must be done, no matter the cost. From repeated trial-and-error experiments in the lab, to supporting his allies out on the field, he shall go on to the end, for Winston shall never surrender.



Bulky: As a large gorilla, Winston is a pretty big target. While he has enough abilities to protect himself, and has tech to make himself more agile, at the end of the day he’s fairly slow and his defensive capabilities can only last for so long. His giant structure also makes it hard for him to hit any fast-pace opponents, allowing him to get distracted and tire out.

Lacking Firepower: Winston’s weapon of choice is the Tesla Cannon, which is unfortunately one of the weakest primary weapons in Overwatch’s arsenal. Not only does it deal low damage, but it also has a very short range. The only positive note about his weapon is that it can automatically lock onto enemies when in range, but again it does very little damage to opponents. It can be slightly useful when against lightweight opponents, but is absolutely useless against a more heavyweight unit.

Overthinker: Winston admits that he tends to overthink things. While it doesn’t happen on a daily basis, it happens rather often to make it notable. He can sometimes get clustered when dealing with mathematical problems and he can be extremely bad in decision making, often letting other people decide for him. He is also tends to ramble more than he should and is a bit of a perfectionist.

The Horizon Lunar Colony was established as a first step for humanity's renewed exploration of space. Among its residents was a group of genetically enhanced gorillas that were intended to test the effects of prolonged habitation in space.

One gorilla displayed such rapid brain development from the gene therapy that he was taken under the wing of Dr. Harold Winston, who taught him science and inspired him with tales of human ingenuity. The young gorilla passed his days assisting with the scientists' experiments, watching the distant blue world outside his habitat window, dreaming of the endless possibilities that awaited him there. Lexigrams were used as part of his education process, and on one day on Lunar New Year, Winston challenged the young ape to read Journey to the West. The gorilla's imagination was captured by the heroic monk Tang Sanzang and his ragtag group of disciples' quest for redemption. As a result, the ape was reminded of his younger days every Lunar New Year; Dr Winston telling him the story remained one of his most treasured memories.

But his life was thrown into chaos when the other gorillas led an uprising, killed the mission scientists, and claimed the colony for their own. Taking on the name of his beloved human caretaker, Winston built a makeshift rocket and escaped to Earth. There he found a new home with Overwatch, an organization that represented everything he had come to admire about humanity. Winston was finally able to live up to the heroic ideal that had been instilled in him.

During his time in Overwatch, Winton worked as a major scientist and creator, as well as a valuable tank fighter when needed. He created devices like the chronal accelerator, providing a solution to Tracer's chronal disassociation and even defeated opponents like the mighty Doomfist. He was beloved by many in Overwatch and phrased for his achievements. Yet when Overwatch fell, he was forced to go into hiding, taking residence in his lab at Watchpoint: Gibraltar.

But on that one fateful day, when Winston was pondering once again whether he should give Overwatch agents a recall order, the base came under attack by Talon operatives led by Reaper. With Winston distracted by Talon, Reaper infected his computer with a virus and attempted to download the Overwatch agent database, which would give the current location of any agent. Winston managed to best the operatives and Reaper, stop the download and quarantine the virus at the last moment. After the close call and restoring the system, he made his decision and initiated the recall, reestablishing connection with the agents of Overwatch and thus activating its resurrection. It was time for the world to remember what Overwatch truly meant...

Jump Pack
Being the bulky character of a gorilla, Winston’s mobility seems to lack rather substantially. Fortunately, he can make up for that with a special jump pack that he has on his back, allowing him to lunge through the air at a reasonably impressive speed. However, make sure you’re at a safe distance when he lands, otherwise the shockwave can push you back or stun you long enough for Winston to be able to grab you.

Barrier Projector
A device that Winston created personally, the barrier projector is able to created a bubble-shaped force field that can absorb damage from incoming projectiles until it automatically dissipates. The cool thing about it is that allies registered into the devices’ coding are able to fire from the shield, while the opponents cannot. But that doesn’t physically stop them from entering inside the field themselves.



Tesla Cannon
You would think that a cannon that fires electricity at multiple foes can do a decent amount of damage right? Well… yes and no. Yes the cannon can fire electricity that can shock opponents, but the intensity is low enough not to shock them out of existence. It causes some damage yes, but against other stronger opponents, it’s rather useless. It also has a rather short firing range as well, making it only useful at close range. On the bright side, don’t bother to do some precision aiming with it, for it automatically locks onto anyone that gets within its range and fires continuously as long as you hold the trigger.

His Fists
Screw cannons and other weapons of mass destruction, Winston’s true weapons are his two mighty fists! Backed up by intense power, a single punch can break bones, crash through wood and concrete, and can even bend steel in an adrenaline rush. And what will you do when they just so happen to catch you? Just pray to make it out with a few broken bones… if you’re not smashed to pieces that is.



Primal Rage
Always heed Winston’s warning. DON’T MAKE HIM ANGRY. Because when he gets angry, he embraces the true animal that he is and can go on a rampage! While significantly boosting his health, his speed increases as well as his strength by double. He even can use his jetpack more often in this state, but will not be able to use his Tesla Cannon. Not like the weapon was useful anyways… However, this ability does not make him invincible. It simply strengthens him and boosts back his health. He can still be defeated while in this form.

Ansgar is a man that struggles constantly with his daily life, both physically due to the injuries sustained when the Overwatch HQ was
destroyed, and mentally due to his blame of the head of the Blackwatch, Reyes, for the events that transpired. On the surface, for most, Ansgar is a man of relative simplicity. He will tell you precisely where you stand with him, whether in his good graces or not, and appears to not have the time for deceit or misdirection. While not gifted with the youthful maturity of some, his long years earned him a degree from the school of hard knocks, and a willingness to share the moral of the lessons hard learned so that others don't have to go through the same thing as him to learn the same thing. As such, he tends to take a fatherly approach towards those he approves of, willing to go to any length for their benefit, even should it cost him anything. However, this does lend himself to sometimes being impolite to get a point across, especially for those that tend to either ignore their own flaws or otherwise get on his nerves to the point of him calling them out on it, which isn't too hard to cause.

In the field, Ansgar is a wrecking ball, heading straight for the thickest of the fighting and planting himself between allies and the enemy, before unleashing everything in his arsenal. One might try to make a comment about 'faith in his equipment' or some such nonsense, but to be blunt, the German has no concern for his own life what so ever, a flagrant disregard for his own safety that would get most support personnel rather riled up. These things are amplified to an even unhealthier degree when deploying against Talon, due to their, in his mind, links to the Blackwatch. A sort of red haze falls over his mind when heading into battle, where he was once a calm, collected operator, something that is quite the jarring shift for those that haven't seen him in battle after Overwatch was originally disbanded.

* Violin - Ansgar finds it soothing, when he finds the time, and something that manages to break his mind from other things. Woe be unto anyone who disturbs him without good reason while he plays, it goes beyond dislike into straight rage.
* Maintenance - While not so much of a hobby as a necessity, the amount of work that goes into his Life Support Rig, and the equipment that gets slapped on to make it combat ready, takes up a decent chunk of his free time.

Strengths
* Durability - It takes an unreal amount of damage to disable Ansgar these days, considering he is as much cybernetics and life support as he is flesh and blood. Coupled with the assault grade armor he wears into a fight, and his flagrant disregard for injury, means he can stay out in the field, blocking off attacks on allies with his own body, if all else fails, for greater lengths of time than normal.

* Big Game Hunting - The bigger the enemy target, the better. Stemming from his time hunting Omnics and picking of rogue and renegade threats that, often times, would almost appear to be larger than life means that he has a knack for taking out things bigger than him. Considering he is slightly below average height, in armor, this puts a fair deal of things into said category. Certainly, there are targets that are just far, far too large for any one person to take on, but he generally has a better idea, and execution, on how to bring them down.

* Combat Experience - Having spent most of his life fighting, whether for himself or for a cause, gives a man a lot of experience. And when that man has hit his early fifties? Doubly so. There isn't much in a combat scenario that Ansgar hasn't been part of, on both sides of the matter usually, and even if such a situation would show up he is quick to adapt himself to the situation.

* Tinkerer - While not to the levels of some of the better known among Overwatch, necessity demands that Ansgar be talented enough with mechanical tools to keep his own life support system running. That includes armor repairs, maintaining his weapons, fixing damage induced glitches in his systems, anything that might be needed to maintain or fix his kit. Earlier, before the reactivation of Overwatch, he had modified his existing gear with that salvaged at Eichenwalde, hinting at a better skill than mere maintenance should he receive the right training and mentorship, or if he stopped raging against the enemies arrayed against him so much.

Weaknesses

* Slow and Steady - Between his weapon, armor, and tools, Ansgar is not the fastest person in the world. Coupled with the extra weight of his life support? He definitely isn't going to be winning any races with the lighter, more on their feet of the world. Coupled with typically needing to brace himself against the volume of incoming fire that he typically invites, if the verbal taunts were not enough at any rate, severely cuts down on his mobility, to put it mildly. Against a fast opponent, it makes his life really difficult since while they are moving over barriers, walls, around a combat zone with speed and grace, he is plodding forward in any clear path he can manage to find.

* Electricity - Part of the problem of being made of equal parts cybernetics and flesh is that the cybernetics do not like being overloaded with current. Normal shocks won't do too much, but combat levels of lightning, such as from Winston's main weapon of choice, would cause him some serious problems once it got past the armor's low level shield. Which would not take long as it would likely overload the shield in a hurry. Emergency, hardened systems are built in to prevent him from completely expiring, but the shock incapacitates him far worse than your average soldier might be.

* Blinded by Anger - While he used to be a calm head in a fight, these days he is a simmering pot waiting to boil over, at the best of times. This is a problem to begin with since, typically, his goal is to get into the deepest fighting and open up with his weapons and gadgets, screaming defiance into thick enough enemy resistance as he gives as good as he is getting. If facing off against someone who he holds a personal vendetta against, it will take something just short of an act of God to keep him from trying to engage said target. Usually, one of the stronger members of the team has to restrain him in these cases if they are retreating, or keep him on track during a combat strike.

Brief Biography
Ansgar was born to a single parent, never having known his mother who shortly left after his younger brother was born a year after him. While both Ansgar and Agnes were fairly similar siblings, their younger brother always seemed to be confrontational with the older two, picking fights with them. Coupled with the fact Ansgar himself, usually in defense of his older sister who was a pacifist, constantly getting into vicious brawls with other kids, meant he was routinely handing his younger brother's rear to him. Which created resentment in Gabriel, which led to more fights, all of which there was little their single father could do as he was working two jobs to keep them fed and in school, and was usually too exhausted to help, as much as he wanted to. So it should hardly be surprising that, considering he spent most of his days fighting, that he should continue to do so for a living.

All three siblings joined the German Army, his sister Agnes a medic while the brothers took different paths. Gabriel took to the recon divisions, acting as a spotter and sniper for the Germans while Ansgar volunteered for a shock division, wearing advanced armor and gear in the case of a war. They certainly got one, with the Omnic crisis sparking off, and Ansgar himself was part of the forces that were present at Eichenwalde, fighting tooth and nail alongside the Crusaders to defend his hometown and, despite the losses of all the Crusaders, claimed a victory against the Omnics there, alongside the rest of the German military. Shortly after this, the three siblings would find themselves enlisted into Overwatch together, Agnes going to their medical corp, Ansgar to the frontline forces and Gabriel to the Blackwatch. They all served with distinction throughout the end of the Omnic crisis and afterwords, staying true despite mounting accusations and infighting. However, what would change Ansgar's life forever was the destruction of Overwatch HQ, the one at that time.

Ansgar and Agnes had been present at the facility when the fighting between Reyes and Morrison kicked off, the two tasked with evacuating as many non combat personnel as possible. However, the two of them were still in the compound when the explosion took place, Ansgar losing contact with his sister and, being engulfed in the blast, blacked out. When he came to, he was in an intensive care ward, supposed to be sedated, and in the middle of operations to save his life. The next few months were, well, unpleasant for the former Overwatch operative. It took cybernetic augmentations, including replacing both of his arms, alongside a life support rig on his torso, to keep him alive. Physically, he would survive, but the seeds of hate and seeking vengeance had been sowed. Once he was capable of moving on his own, he took his armor, which was considered almost outdated at this point, and vanished off the radar completely. In fact, he had fled back to his hometown, the abandoned Eichenwalde.

Using the remains of Crusader tech, not even attempting to breach the main hall that their leader had fallen in, he modified his assault armor to be something more than it had been originally. Lacking the frame for the Crusader's bulking frame and hulking weapon of choice, he instead coopted the material, which was more sturdy than the armor he wore already, for key plating points, then took a damaged barrier generator to create a low level field for his armor. Granted, it was not even a fraction of the strength of a true barrier, not even a quarter, and arguably not even an eighth of what a true, proper barrier could do. Yet, it worked, and provided him with that key bit more resilience. Having rebuilt the equipment, he would go on his own personal Vendetta fueled crusade, hunting any operations where Talon was rumored to operate. See, Ansgar was convinced that they were the former Blackwatch reformed, and intended to make their lives as difficult as possible. Reports of the German soldier crept up at times, often times engaged in frantic fire fights with Talon operatives, so when he received the Overwatch reactivation message, it was simple. He made his way for Overwatch again. They would be fighting Talon as well, after all, so might as well increase his odds of getting to bring them down.

Modified German Assault Armor

Originally meant to provide a cheap, more numerous alternative to the expensive, and intensive requirements, of the Crusaders and their armor, the system, while inferior to the Crusader armor itself, was still leaps and bounds more durable and useful than the standard line infantry of the German Army at the time of the Omnic crisis. Not truly durable enough to be able to provide a defensive role on its own, Ansgar's set uses salvaged Crusader tech, the material that, while repainted and more focused as plates instead of a fully covering armor, is overlapped with a thin barrier to provide a key few moments of protection before the armor itself starts getting pounded by enemy fire.

Primary Weapon Platform - Modernized MG-86


During the Omnic Criss, one of most common support weapons for the German Army was the MG-86, which had become the standard LMG for the Germans just before the Omnic crisis sparked off. The weapon would be used commonly by the German Army, often times when deployed alongside Crusaders, the combined arms tactics of shields and heavy fire helping stall and, indeed, break through at points. However, the weapon fell out of favor after the Crisis, as the raw firepower was no longer seen as necessary, platforms with better control and rate of fire preferred over raw damage from each round. Differences in what was being faced. Ansgar, however, stayed faithful to the weapon that got him through the Battle of Eichenwalde, modernizing the components and keeping it up to par with other agents weapons, despite comparatively being over thirty years old now.

Scatter Charge
A wrist mounted device, designed to clear a breached room prior to entry, Ansgar can launch a cluster mine into a space, usually most effective in doors, and detonate it either on command or within, at most, a handful of seconds. The weapon is a derivative of the stingball grenades that were used by police, instead, the balls are charged and fired with greater velocity. Not only do they do damage, but the rounds stun, the closer one is to the charge going off, the more damaging and longer the stun lasts. Standard procedure used to be several Assault team members would deploy these at the same time, to maximize clearance. The electric charge was added to make them effective against Omnics.

Ultimate Ability

"Rüstungsüberlastung!" (Translated: Armor Overload)

In a rather dangerous move, Ansgar overloads his suit, temporarily overclocking his systems. The barrier, if it was down, snaps back online and is more resilient than before while the mechanical augmentations across his body are overcharged as well, performing at the peak possible. A brief burst of enhanced strength and endurance also comes with this as his nerves are temporarily switched off, an emergency measure to prevent him from collapsing from the pain that would normally go hand in hand with the overload. His body cannot sustain this for long, however, and does nothing to solve his movement speed problem. However, between the boosted shields, strength, and complete loss of pain reception, it can let him power through a great deal more than he already can.

Brief Biography:
As any good strategist will tell you, breaking the enemy's will to fight is sometimes far more effective than killing off a large number of their soldiers. It's even better when that offensive cuts off something important, like their food supply or method of gaining more troops. Thus, the human armies targeted the Omniums--and the Omnic armies focused a lot of their efforts on the "breadbasket" areas of the world, including the Midwest of the United States, though Erika's a little too young to remember much of that. What she does remember is theh long period of rebuilding and replanting that happened afterward, her parents in a constant state of fear and stress until a decade or two passed and both the land and their hearts healed. Oddly enough, that environment is what has made her hopeful--life's gone nowhere but up since then.

Her abilities appeared when she was trapped in a burning silo full of omnic designed fertilizer, which eventually exploded when ignited, riddling her body with phosphorous and nanites created to spread chemicals and foster plant growth. Surprisingly, the girl survived with next to no burns, though the following surgeries to reconstruct bones and parts damaged by the concussive force of the blast were risky to say the least--pockets of phosphorous caught in her flesh would keep igniting when exposed to the air, endangering the lives of those operating on her. Eventually, however, the surgeries were complete, the nanites reprogrammed--like all good omnic technology, they adapted and improved, till they formed something of a symbiotic relationship with Erika, allowing her to create and control the same fire she'd been exposed to in the explosion. These abilities, along with the symbolism of omnic nanites and human flesh together brought her to the attention of Overwatch--and she eventually joined.

Erika's primary method of attack is blasting flame from her hands, feet, and whatever else she feels like to attempt to incinerate her foes. It's short range but can hurt like a bitch if you don't have armor on, or aren't incredibly resistant to heat like she is.

Detonate
If her projectile hits, the target's body is wracked by a series of small explosions as various parts of their clothing try to spontaneously combust. Damaging, better against people who wear a lot of armor or you know... Have flammable stuff nearby. This takes some time to recharge after she launches it.

Phoenix Rising
Erika summons a massive blast of flame that surrounds her, incinerating most nearby objects and healing her somewhat. She can't do it often, and it's as much of a danger to her allies as it is to her enemies.

Passive: Falcon's Flight
Rik's flame intensifies to near rocket strength, allowing her to take off and fly. Needless to say, the level of flame caused by this ability basically lights her up like a Christmas Tree to any nearby enemies, and the energy consumed is prohibitive for anything more than short jumps and quick directional shifts. Obviously, she's also very fire resistant.

"LIMIT BREAK!"
Tricia hurls large masses of flame into the air, using the same bullshit science that allows Tracer to jump farther by accelerating time. After a short delay, the blasts fall like meteors, doing massive damage to anyone caught in them.

Marionette goes about his duties with the precision of a well-oiled machine. He's emotionless and calm almost all of the time, working silently and without complaint. ⚜ His metallic mind has a dogged, merciless attitude toward his work. He doesn't give up on a job easily.

Weaknesses:
☠ Marionette is an omnic, and as such is vulnerable to god AIs like Anubis, and his nanites are subject to temporary deactivation by sufficiently skilled hackers.
☠ Electrical blasts of sufficient power can take out poorly placed nanites.
☠ Peacere's a far greater threat in close range and confined spaces than he is farther away, and he can't fly or attack those in the air without some creativity.

Brief Biography:
Created slightly before the Omnic crisis as a general combination medical and repair robot, the Omnic that would later become known as Peacere Kovalyov fought alongside millions of his brethren in the wars against humankind. When the war was lost and the omniums powered down, Peacere was deactivated--but not found and destroyed like many of the more combat focused robots left in the angered and vindictive country of Russia. Marooned and frozen in ice for a decade or two until two sympathetic travelers found him and dug him out. Having forgotten a lot of his identity, he renamed himself after the two of them, and the first word they said to him: "Peace".

How he subsequently became involved with a terrorist organization like Talon is something of a mystery. But few can doubt his devotion to his goals or his abilities.

Nanite Rush
Peacere commands a flood of the nanites under his control to flow in a beam from his outstretched hand. If they are set to heal, they'll swarm over the target, repairing flesh and armor alike at a decent rate. If set to harm, the nanite structure becomes sharp, slicing up the target. For obvious reasons, not that great against armor or shields.

Maestro's Strings
Like a spider weaving a sinister web, Peacere creates molecule thin wires all around a choke point with his nanites, nearly invisible and capable of slicing through nigh anything that isn't protected with a shield (the electrical nature of the shield interferes with the nanites' ability to cohere). It's devastating to those who don't see him coming.

Molecular Interference
Spending too much time near Peacere starts to create problems for advanced technology. His nanites grab little bits and pieces of anything metal nearby to use for building new nanites and simple repairs. Not such a big deal for lower level tech, like Roadhog's hook or junk blaster, since the damn things are only being held together with kangaroo grease and gumption anyway. Mercy's flight suit or Zarya's blaster would be a little more subsceptible. Most of these devices have their own self repair systems or will eventually adapt--but as long as they're still being eroded, this won't take effect.

Passive: Hive Healing
When not being used for some other purpose, Marionette's nanites repair his own metallic body using material from his environment, and shield him from harm, particularly from beam weapons.

Ultimate Ability: Nanite Storm
"DEVOUR!"
Marionette's nanite generators go into overdrive, consuming most metal nearby to create new members of the hive. This weakens everyone in the area immensely, including allies--but after the initial blast is done, a secondary fire launches, repairing all allied weapons, armor, and healing them to full. Taking him out before the secondary blast will leave his allies weak.

"Alpha 1" is a deadly adversary to be up against. One of the biggest and arguably the most intelligent of the Raptor Crew, Alpha is a deadly genetic marvel in the name of both scientific and military science. Trained and enhanced to become a cold-blooded killer, Alpha and the rest of the Crew show little mercy towards any opponent who stands in their way. Alpha is also incredibly intelligent, capable of understand speech and even communicating both in various different languages and in grunts and roars only the Crew can understand. They are also capable of wielding weapons, in which they have special weapons in which to operate with thanks to the scientists at Talon. Technically they have free-will for the most part, but being extremely smart and adaptable to their every surroundings, they were given a chip at birth to regulate and monitor their brains, in an attempt to control them and prevent any rebellious uprisings. Towards his fellow squad-mates, Alpha cares extremely for their well being and protects each and every one of them with his last breath. If one falls or lags behind, at least one of them comes to their aid. He will lash at anyone who is foolish enough to take one of his siblings away from him.

Constant Training: Alpha and the Raptor Crew aren't the ones that can simply stand around and do nothing. They are always on the move, wanting to explore or train harder in their abilities in combat. They tend to spar one another, test out their weapons, they basically live in their own training facility. They almost never seem to tire out, although they do sleep like any organic being. Their advisor also tests on their abilities every month to check on them.



Extreme Intelligence: Alpha is the most intelligent in the Raptor Crew. Again, like the rest of the raptors, he can speak and communicate through various languages, including a code-based language of grunts, screeches, and roars that they can only understand. Alpha is also capable of solving various complex problems and commanding his crew, his natural enhancement being that of leadership.

Stealth: Like the rest of the Raptors, Alpha is a master at stealth-based operations. Despite his larger size, he is capable at treading lightly and sneaking pass most security measures. They are speedy and agile ambush hunters capable of quickly issuing lethal attacks on their enemies and in mere seconds disappear like they were never there.

Deadly Arsenal: Alpha and the rest of his crew are literally living bio-weapons. These prehistoric creatures are deadly, with sharp claws on their hands and teeth, with their mouths littered with many sharp needle-like teeth to tear into soft flesh and in some cases light armor. This also helps them in climbing as well, especially the sickle-shaped toe claw to help climb up surfaces and latch onto their larger opponents.



Handicapped: Alpha like the rest of the Raptor Crew, while thinking they have freewill, are actually mentally handicapped to prevent them from rebelling. They all have a tiny chip that is chipped into their heads, which allows the scientists to monitor their mental thoughts and brain behavior. If the dinosaurs get to riled up and start to rebel or not follow orders, a slight jolt of electricity is rippled into their body, forcing them to be put in line. Now only if they were able to take it off...

Squad-Reliant: Alpha can easily take on opponents by himself, being the largest in the crew, however he is no Tyrannosaurus Rex. Raptors are pack hunters, relying on numbers to take down large opponents or opponents in larger numbers. Alone, they can be dealt with rather easily if one has allies on his side... but if the Raptor has a squad backing it up, they are a deadly threat to behold.

Hyper-Aggressiveness: While the Raptors all have enhanced hyper-awareness, which prompt them to be more aggressive, Alpha seems to have the most aggressive of them all. He trusts very few people other than his own mates, even those in Talon who had raised them since they were chicks. While being more in control of his actions, Alpha was once so aggressive to anyone non-Raptor, that he was required to be equipped with a muzzle for a good portion of his younger years.

Biography:


The "Alpha 1" project was a top secret project that planned to resurrect and clone dinosaurs by using an advanced technique to reanimate dead DNA samples from within their extinct petrified bones and ultimately recreate these long extinct creatures. They were to be shown to the public in a special park on a remote island near Costa Rica. It was originally developed from within the Horizon Lunar Base, around the same time when Winston was still a chimp. At that time, the scientists were successful in reanimating DNA cells from the Raptor species of dinosaurs. However, the project was halted during the violent uprising of the rogue gorillas. Thankfully for the new embryos, one of the scientists was able to retrieve the briefcase holding five of these specimens onto a spaceship and safely returned them back to Earth. However, before they could continue with the project, it was halted due to the scientists' fear of the dinosaurs becoming like the rogue gorillas on the moon, and was placed in a vault in a secret military base deep in the forests of Portland, Oregon for safe keeping and as a possible future project to return too.

In the Fall of 2009, Talon raided that same military base and discovered the "Alpha 1" project. They decided to bring the embryos to a secret Talon base location, which is rumored to be in a base in the cold forests of Siberia, Russia. There the Talon operatives continued the work from where the scientists left off, the only real difference is to make said dinosaurs into the ultimate killing machines, valuable special force units for Talon to command. They were to be larger, man-sized, with sharper claws and teeth, along with superior intelligence and to be undyingly loyal. They were successful in the end, having first created "Alpha I", followed by "Beta II", "Gamma III", "Delta IV" and "Omega V", but made a remarkable discovery. Each of the Raptors created were actually different species, in which the previous scientists thought that they were of the same species. Of course, just to be sure, Talon officials each imbedded a special chip into each of the Raptor's heads in order to control them, in the attempt that they could rebel or be unruly.

Alpha's DNA was then identified to have come originally from a Utahraptor. Beta's from a Velociraptor. Gamma's from a Balaur. Delta's from a Tsaagan. And Omega's to have come from a Pyroraptor. Regardless, they were each to be trained for combat, and hence the Talon operatives began to train them, eventually granting them armor and guns, along with different roles and abilities, with Alpha I being the leader of the crew. Eventually, the Raptors even began to communicate in English and eventually spoke in several different languages. They ultimately became the deadly "Raptor Crew", as they would be known.

Having only been on several missions to raid remote military outposts, the Crew has yet to encounter Overwatch at this point in time. But with their forces growing rapidly, it is simply inevitable that they will encounter Alpha and his Raptor Crew.

Alpha and the rest of the Raptor Crew are faster and more agile thanks to their genetic enhancements. They are able to climb walls, dodge fire with relative ease, and in Alpha's case, be able to double jump in the air thanks to leg guards that issue a quick boost into the air.

Plasma Charge:

Alpha's plasma gun is able to fire a charged plasma shot towards enemies, issuing twice the amount of damage than usual. It can also pierce through force-fields at the right angle. It does require

Sprint:

Alpha, like the rest of the Raptor Crew, is able to sprint for quick distances when needed. This is useful when they are charging into battle, dodging fire, sneaking onto their prey, and for backing out of a heated conflict.

Deadly Lunge:

While sprinting, Alpha and the other raptors are able to launch themselves onto their opponent when in range. After they leap into the air, they sink their teeth and claws into the opponent's skin or armor, causing damage over time. Armored units are able to hold them off for more time due to their armor, but the same can not be said to those who lack it.



VTR-081 Plasma Rifle

The VTR-081 Plasma Rifle is a custom made rifle created by Talon for Alpha's Raptor crew to utilize. They can rapid fire plasma lasers at their opponents and deal damage overtime. In Alpha's case, he can charge up his rifle to issue a charged shot, dealing more damage in the process.

Himself

Being a genetically modified raptor, Alpha's claws and teeth are extremely deadly natural weapons. He can rip through flesh with ease and even scratch, and in some cases pierce, the opponent's armor.



Primal Instinct

Alpha's Ultimate is a deadly one to say the least. When activated, Alpha's eyes begin to glow a faint fiery-orange, prompting the Raptor to go into a "frenzied-state" thanks to special chemical hormones that are injected into his bloodstream. His breathing increases as his hyper activity begins to soar, panting while activated. When in range of an enemy, he dashes quickly towards the opponent and can issue a lethal bite or slash at his opponent in the blink of an eye. This mode lasts for 10 seconds (or two posts) before it wears off and can be avoided thanks to the right circumstances.

Abilities

Defense Matrix (MEKA): An extremely useful ability in battle, Hana is able to activate a forward-facing targeting array to shoot incoming projectiles out of the air; however, as a consequence, Hana is unable to attack while using this particular skill.

Boosters (MEKA): Another useful ability during battle, Hana is able to launch her MEKA suit forward and into the air, the momentum helping to push her quickly into the fray, or away from danger; also able to swiftly change directions at the drop of a hat, this particular skill is useful when it comes to barreling through a group of enemies, forcing them back.

Fusion Cannons (MEKA): Her most prized possession, aside from her pet rabbit, and her primary weapon of choice, Hana's MEKA is equipped with twin short-range rotating cannons which, while laying down continuous high-damage fire without the need to reload, slow down her movements while active.

Light Gun: Her secondary weapon of choice, and one she only uses while outside of her MEKA, Hana's light gun is capable of firing a stream of fast-moving projectiles which are quite similar to that of Mercy's Caduceus blaster; able to automatically reload while she is focusing her attention on her MEKA, her gun (while fairly weak at long ranges) can become extremely deadly at close range.

Ultimate Ability

Self-Destruct (MEKA): The first of her two ultimate abilities, Hana is able to eject herself from her MEKA suit, setting its reactor to self-destruct, and causing it to explode, dealing mass amounts of damage to near-by enemies; a down-side to this is that the sequence not only causes damage to her opponents, but also to all any nearby allies, civilians and property.

Call Mech: The second of her ultimate abilities, Hana is able to call for her MEKA, causing it to re-form around her around her body once she has either self-destructed, or after it has been destroyed by enemy fire; this particular ability however, is a tricky one to use, particularly while caught in a cross-fire, or behind enemy lines.











Other: Though never really talking about it without fist needing to be asked, Hana has a small (however meaningful to her) tattoo situated on the front of her right hip; the tattoo itself both chosen and done without the knowledge, or even the permission of her either her adoptive father or brother- and while she knows both Jack and Lucas wouldn't exactly understand, she plans on getting another when she feels like the time is right.

Quite the sentimental person and wanting to cherish every memory that she can, Hana loves taking photos with her family and friends, and has a collection of photo-books and frames placed around her room, as well as a collage on the wall over her bed, filled with photos that she has taken throughout her life so far.

Brief Biography:
Growing up on bases, Lucas knew the life of a solider. He tried his best to care for both Hana and Juliette when their father couldn't, and as such is extremely protective of them, while giving their freedom. He loves his sisters, and wants the best for them. Growing up, Lucas wanted to be just like his father, however as their father disappeared, Lucas turned his sights towards his sisters well-being, raising them and taking care of them, making sure they didn't want for anything. While he still trained, Lucas put his sisters before his own needs. With the help of Angela, he managed to not a] kill them and b] screw them up, managing to raise them to believe in themselves and to know that they were loved and cared for.

Joining Overwatch, becoming a good solider, they were both secondary to ensuring his sisters were happy, and now that they are old enough to take care of themselves, Lucas can focus on his own development, but that doesn't mean he still doesn't watch over them, care for them and make sure that they are alright.

An extremely forceful, though also a fiercely independent young woman, Selena has always been noted by those lucky enough to get to know her for being a relatively hard working, and quite the cold-hearted individual; her rather vast intelligence in a range of subjects, and at times quite intuitive nature, coupled with her time spent within Talon proving her to be (time and time again) both quite studious and productive whenever she the need to be so. While at times seen to show an immense amount of not only social conscience, but also social tenacity and then, on the rare occasion, social awkwardness (brought on by her many years of abuse); Selena’s strong emphasis upon logic has, more times than none, made her quite the sceptic about accepting almost anything without being presented with any form of rational proof, or hard physical evidence… nevertheless, as the years continue to pass her by, she has both seen and learnt more about the world she’s a part of, and as such, has become slightly more willing to accept things as they are; willing to also now come to intuitive conclusions.

Umbrakinesis/ Shadow Travel: Taking after her father, Selena is extremely skilled in the art of shadow travel, able to use them to transport not only herself, but also others over great distances, however it has been shown that the longer the distance, the stronger the wear and fatigue that befalls her after the journey- however, a downside to this particular ability, overexertion of shadow travel can cause her molecular structure to begin to fall apart, gradually turning her into the very shadows themselves, causing her to lose herself, or even on the rare occasion, to enter what is known as a shadow coma.

Hellfire Shotguns: Given to her consecutively by her father, the first when she turned thirteen and the second when she turned sixteen; Selena owns and maintains two hellfire shotguns, each extremely lethal at close range, however growing more ineffective the further away she grows.

Death Blossom: Taking after her father, Selena shares in his ability of 'Death Blossom", allowing her to move in a blurred motion as she empties both of her hellfire shotguns in quick succession, helping her to deal mass amounts of damage to all and any in near proximity; however, due to both the fact that she is still learning this skill, and the fact that she rarely gets training from her father, she doesn't always manage to hit her mark.











Other: Though she refuses to show anyone around her, not even her family or those she considers to be her friends, how she truly feels about what happened to her in the past; Selena is only ever truly terrified of one thing in the world, that thing happening to be the very ex-boyfriend who abused her not only mentally, but also physically as well for a large portion of her life.

Go to a bar down in Santa Fe and ask every single one of the patrons there who Jesse McCree is. They'll each say something different, something true, but they'll never have every piece of the puzzle and they'll never think to put their pieces together.

For a lot of people, Jesse McCree's just a name on a poster or flashing on various signs and billboards of one of the world's most wanted criminals. He's a dangerous man, a gunslinger, armed and loaded with a six-shooter and no wits about him. People won't refute that logic when faced with a 6'1" hulking man decked out like wild west cowboy. Criminal insanity, they'd say. And yet, how does a man with such an intimidating reputation charm the boots off of every ma'am and sir in any bar he runs through.

All of this, this building of a persona that people whisper over crowded subways and inside the many bullet trains that wrap around the world is exactly what Jesse McCree wants. The more people don't actually know about him, the better, and giving them scraps to hang onto and build something out of nothing is the best way to keep things that way. The real Jesse McCree certainly isn't any of the things the many governments of the world want him to be, hell even the people he fools on the daily don't know a lick about him. Except for the fact that he's devilishly handsome and could rock anyone's socks, if given the chance.

No, the people McCree found family in are dead and gone, and he might as well have went with them. But, if they could tell you about Jesse, they'd have a hell of a lot to say.

First off, don't believe a thing that comes out of his mouth. Chances are, he's exaggerating everything just to get a reaction. The kid's all spitfire and cocky arrogance, or at least he used to be. Now, perhaps, he's broken into his bones, let his adulthood grow into him. What used to be charming, if a bit insulting, cat calls have turned into a lazy drawl, hooded eyes, and smile only tainted by the dozens of cigars he smokes on a daily. McCree talks smooth, a buttered tone to butter up with the intention of getting something for himself - most of the time.

But, even as amicable as McCree tends to be, he's still cautious of what he shares. He left Overwatch for a reason, which meant he left a lot of his trust behind him. Being taught to rely on yourself and actually having to rely on yourself are two different things entirely. For a people person like McCree is, keeping everyone and everything at a distance is hard. But, as the years roll by, he's found it easier and easier to give someone a smile from a far. It brings him to the same destination, so why not go the extra mile for security.

Now, it's hard to get out of that mindset, so much so that anyone trying to dig under the walls he's put up sparks a flame in him that he thought he'd tamped down on long ago. As McCree ventures on, he realizes more and more that he's not progressing in his personality, he's regressing into the seventeen year old hotshot that Reyes found all those years ago. He desperately wants to claw himself out of the hole he's falling back in, but the familiar comfort of old habits are all too alluring for a man who just wants to run away from everything.

Sharpshooter; Not only is McCree exceptionally fast at drawing his weapon and firing, but his aim's nearly impeccable and with just a pistol, to boot. Though, the father the bullet travels, the less force it has, McCree can still strike enemies at reasonably long distances.
Dirty Fighting; Even if he hates when people cheat him in cards, McCree's actually not one to play by the rules. He'll do what he's gotta do to win a fight, no holds barred.
Reflex; Part of having the quickest draw in the west (ha) means having insane reflexes and McCree's honed and trained his over the years. His reaction time is incredibly fast and, even if it isn't inhuman, it's quite impressive for the cowboy.

Wᴇᴀᴋɴᴇssᴇs
Furtive; The issue with McCree is that he dislikes confiding in anyone, relying on people, especially with what's happened in his past. So, he keeps many things to himself, including his wounds, which can more than a minor grievance when he refuses to get something patched up.
Short-Tempered; Even despite his laid back attitude, there are a number of things that can set Jesse ablaze. It's perhaps wrongly labeled; he's not short-tempered, as in many things can easily anger him, but more so a few things have a 100% success rate when it comes to making McCree furious. But, even those buttons he keeps secret.
Stationary; Whenever McCree uses his dead-eye, the amount of focus necessary to use the ability renders him practically immobile, or just incredibly slow. It's not as flashy or majestic as he makes it sound, but standing still in an open battlefield tends to leave him sticking out like a sore thumb, so it's easy to knock him down before he can easily pick everyone off.

Bʀɪᴇғ Bɪᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜʏ
Everyone's got something they're running from. At the age of 16, in all of his teenage desperation, Jesse ran from his father. As soon as his sickly mother passed away, McCree dropped everything and ran. Early on in his life, McCree figured out how to live as a vagrant - or rather, he was forced to. Running from the only home he had meant McCree had to quickly find a way to survive on his own. He dropped his name, stole some shitty close, took an old man's revolver in the middle of the night (woke up his dog and nearly got himself killed), and took to the streets to make a name for himself. A regular 'Billie the Kid', but this time Billie actually was a kid.

Lucky for McCree, the kid was a good shot. He ran a muck through Santa Fe's surrounding towns, stealing food and occasionally convincing people to give him some dirty work. It quickly caught the eye of the gang stationed nearby, the dreaded Deadlocks. Whether fortunate or unfortunate, the Deadlocks were looking to bolster their ranks with every fresh meatshield they could find. They figured a 16 year old deadbeat would do just fine and took McCree in the hopes that the next showdown would see him gone. If not, they may have a worthy member yet.

A win-win scenario.

For all his worth, McCree wasn't ready for just how big these operations were. Deadlock didn't bother with the drug cartel; money currently found itself swimming in the weapons market, and so Deadlock made a name for trafficking illicit weapons throughout America's southwest. That meant things were a lot more dangerous than just the average roughhousing gang. It meant McCree had an even bigger chance of dying in any of these skirmishes they found themselves in.

But a year. An entire year passed by and not only did McCree live through it, but he became a notorious member of the Deadlock Gang. He wove his way up through the ranks faster than any of the members to date and that earned the ire of many longtime veterans. In a sting that involved the largest deal they'd ever had come their way, the group McCree was assigned to lead for his first (and likely final) time, he found himself completely overwhelmed.

It ended with the operation coming to a startling failure, with the majority of the gang making it out. However, Overwatch took a number of important figures into custody, including seventeen year old Jesse McCree. It introduced him first hand to Gabriel Reyes. He felt at odds, then; in some kind of eternal conflict. A McCree versus Them situation. He was all rage and spitfire, cocky arrogance that he knew got on Reyes' nerve. But somehow, despite being a complete ass and a fool, he found himself with an offer.

Either reform under Gabriel Reyes' tutelage or find himself tried as an adult, and locked up in federal prison for life.

McCree may be a fool, but he's no idiot. He took the deal, signed himself away, and was put on a probationary period in which Ana Amari and Reinhardt Wilhelm watched over him for the period of three months. Not only did he grow in those three months, but he excelled under Gabriel's guidance. It was tough love, and grueling work, but McCree found himself happiest in these times than he ever had. His time in Overwatch was one he treasured through even the worst of days because even those days held higher than the ones he spent in the desert, with barely any food to eat, and a group of people who hated his guts. Here, he actually felt a part of a family.

And, as they years grew darker, that thought scared the living hell out of him.

In the culmination of Overwatch's fall, and with Ana Amari's death on the head of it, Gabriel reached out to Jesse in his grieving state. He wanted him to join the ranks of Talon with him, find a better way to protect the world. Some bullshit. And, even if he didn't want to admit it, he saw Reyes lose his way over the years, saw the downhill turn, and the subsequent fall into oblivion. McCree's instincts kicked up. They begged him to flee and when he got the opportunity, McCree packed his bags and left. And he left for good.

For years he spent on the rails and the roads once more. Ten solid years of being a vagrant, being hunted, having his bounty bid higher and higher the longer he remained a threat to the welfare of the people. They wanted him dead and gone with the rest of Blackwatch. The UN just wanted to sweep everything under the PETRAS act and if it meant killed a few blackened members of Overwatch, then they'd do it.

And he was just on the verge of finally slipping up when the recall happened. McCree avoided it for as long as he possibly could. He didn't want to see their faces, the ones who didn't really know him, as they rejected his offer and turned him over. But, even if his gut told him otherwise, it didn't happen. They accepted him with open arms. They brought him in. They fed him, clothed him, let him bathe, and sleep.

But even in their hospitality, he keeps looking to the horizon, just waiting for the moment where it begs him to leave.

Fan the Hammer
Something McCree is possibly most known for: his ability to unload a revolver that should be slow to fire. He can unload all six of his rounds in just about a second, if not a little under, with the trained and quick press of his palm against the cock of the gun. Doing this not only unloads all of his bullets, but also throws off his aim as even his mechanical arm isn't used to the combined wait of six immediate recoils from such a heavy pistol.


Combat Roll
A supposedly harmless ability, McCree rolls in any direction he wants. On the surface, it's a great method to dodge various attacks and reposition himself in a quick motion. However, there's more than he lets on - during his roll, McCree unloads and reload his six-shooter and once he falls out of the roll, he's all set and read to start unloading bullets a second time.


Wᴇᴀᴘᴏɴs
Peacekeeper
A six-shooter revolver, entrusted to McCree early in his Overwatch days. He's since kept it in pristine condition. Despite its low-rate of fire, it compensates for packing a heavy punch. Of course, that's in the hands of a regular shooter. Anyone with have a mind, his wits about him, and a quick wrist can empty Peacekeeper before even the first shot hits its mark. McCree can attest to the pistol's durability for how much he practices his quickdraw abilities with it.


Flashbang Grenade
Ain't nothin' wrong with a bit of dirty fighting. Jokingly referred to as Jesse's "pocket sand," his flashbang grenades pack a stunning wallop, giving McCree ample time to finish off anyone who dares get close. He keeps at least three to four of these on his belt.


Fists
The mechanical prosthetic's has to be good for something. For McCree, it's perfect for engaging in fisticuffs when he's had one too many to drink. Of course, in the heat of actual battle, if he needs to resort to hand-to-hand combat, he's got the grit and the experience to give up a good fight.


Uʟᴛɪᴍᴀᴛᴇ Aʙɪʟɪᴛʏ
Dead-Eye
Something McCree only pulls out in moments of desperation, for how hefty the side effect is on him. His vision hones in on the heads of each target within his line of sight, marking every individual he's looking to down in six-shots (and with how quickly he reloads, sometimes more). The less they move and the clearer vision he has on their hearts or their heads, the quicker and easier it is for McCree to line up a shot. For every unfortunate soul marked, Jesse shoots to kill - one bullet, one body. The secrets of such a nasty, brutal ability are under lock and key for good reason. Only one person in Overwatch used and knew of the ability and who taught McCree such.

Cultured Fearless Feminine Cold-Hearted Protective Vengeful
Ana has always liked her anonymity, and even when she was known worldwide as a hero of the Omnic Crisis, she opted for a private life away from the spotlights. That was Morrison's burden to bear. Privacy is important to her: she keeps herself to herself, though was often easily found for midnight one-on-one talks over tea, usually those of utmost importance. When she had friends and a family of her own in Blackwatch, she served as something of an Agony Aunt or maternal figure––never motherly, but supportive; a wise, decisive voice in command who had supposedly seen everything under the sun.

It's almost ironic that she treated her children like fellow soldiers, and her teammates like her real kids; attentive and almost caring towards those she trained. She avoided motherly responsibility wherever possible, pushing her daughters off on other people. Adopting her son was not a choice; she was simply the best member available for the job, forced to grin and bear it because it was better than the alternative fates he could have had.

Growing up in a private all girls' school left Ana with a healthy respect and interest in etiquette and other traditionally feminine activities like flower-arranging and cooking, but more than anything it fuelled her thirst for knowledge. Ana is intelligent, well-read and particularly talented at debating (thanks to a stint in university). She can, however, be too thirsty at the concept of 'winning' an argument or discussion, and can therefore seem very domineering in conversation. She never raises her voice but the right word choice can be just as cutting.

Once upon a time, Ana was more carefree. She still enjoys harmless, easy flirting––what former femme fatale wouldn't?––but long ago she could take pleasure in dancing and courting love; sappy, tragic romance novels and sad, romantic songs and all that. Now they're more of a reminder of what she left behind.

Finally, and this is pertaining more to her alias as the solo bounty hunter, "Shrike" than the original war hero, Ana is vengeful, determined to take out the Talon agent formerly known as Amélie Lacroix. She feels as if it is her life mission, her duty to fix this, and to that end, nothing else matters more.

Combat Medic
Emphasis on the combat. Ana is a fully-fledged, elite sniper trained by the militia she joined when she was just barely out of her teens and later through a great deal of elbow-grease and trial and error became a medic thanks to the nano-technology of Overwatch. Her talents revolve around triage in the worst possible scenarios of war: her level head, lack of tact and speedy process of patching up make her one of the most talented medics in the world to have in a sticky situation, and her creative use of darts. With forty years of experience? She's seen everything.

Hardened
Physically and mentally, Ana is tough. (Childbirth really sucks, and if that wasn't bad enough, she did get sniped clean through the eye.) Emotionally, she has lost most of what she cared about––Blackwatch, Overwatch, her flawless sight––and she can think of only two people in the world who she would be truly devastated to lose. She can shrug off wounds without batting an eye. Her self-imposed isolation has seemingly no impact on her psyche. She will endure just about anything.

Former Femme Fatale
Though she now no longer needs to maintain such charm and seduction and has no interest in exploiting men and women through the means of her sexuality, old habits die hard. Ana is a skilled 'diplomat' in so far as she is skilled at manipulation and machination to get what she wants, observing people for flaws or weaknesses and using it against them. As for how effective she was at gathering romantic interest, just ask Reinhardt.


Protectiveness
Everyone has an Achilles' heel, and Ana's is obvious: target those she cares about. This group includes her former partner, her former apprentice, and her hidden daughter, all of whom she is far removed from. If they were ever in danger, she would drop her sworn duty and secret identity and do anything to keep them alive. She would even work for Talon, if it would protect them.

Penitent
Ana has never been very good at decompressing her own emotions; however, even she knows that she feels some guilt over the choices she has made in her life––abandoning her children, abandoning Blackwatch, abandoning Reinhardt. She also has some qualms with the amount of blood on her hands, because historically she has never shied away from murder. Now she has a strict code of 'take them alive', using her biotic technology merely to incapacitate, not kill.

Sixty Years Young
Ana is no spring chicken. She doesn't have the physical abilities that she used to, and is forced to avoid hand-to-hand combat––there's always a risk of putting her back out. There is also an air of tiredness about her now, like she wants nothing more than to retire to a farm in Germany and read books of poetry for the remainder of what is definitely going to be a longer life than most.

Sleep Dart
Ana calibrates and carefully aims one of her hand-crafted sleep darts (also made with the same biotic technology as her regular rifle shots) to put a persistent enemy to sleep. They are designed for close range, though can work at long-range in a pinch. Even if she is somehow disarmed of her rifle, she still has these sleep darts as they are built into a bracer and shot from the wrist.

Biotic Grenade
This technique was invented by herself a year in to her self-imposed exile as Shrike. She carries with her several of these grenades on her belt that break open to release the biotics within. Adapted from the same offensive-defensive style as her rifle, these do great damage to enemies and prevent healing to them while bolstering her own allies. The secondary effect allows her healing darts to be infinitely more effective while it is active.


Biotic Rifle
The creation of the prototype Biotic Rifle back in the early days of Overwatch was considered a failure, not because the weapon itself was in any way bad, but because it took incredible sniping accuracy to function. Few medics could claim that skill except Ana Amari herself. She initially refused the weapon because it would leave her open to attack unless it had some sort of offensive capabilities, and thus the ability to damage enemies.

The design allows the use of a scope to aim for faraway enemies and allies, while also functioning as a more regular gun with hip-shots possible in close-range. Ana uses it in both ways. The 'poison' biotics, purple in colour that sting and ache and eventually cause fatal health complications can simply lead to unconsciousness if used in the right dosage, hence it is perfect for her bounty-hunting.

Previously, however, she had no issues with killing in the name of Blackwatch with a weapon originally created to save lives only.


Nano-Boost
A truly devastating ability that is also a throwback to Ana's worth within a strike team. With another dart, she can boost the power levels of an ally to great levels: their pain tolerance is increased as is their natural regeneration along with their physical strength, focus and speed. Those with already sharp aim find their bullets hitting more fatal locations; those with a big hammer to swing around find their connecting hits to be lethal.
