Who here actually knows about Lego's toy line Bionicle, and if you do, to what extent. I rarely meet people who are more familiar with the Bionicle story than I personally am. That is probably because I've been reading the books since I was a truly young child, and until Lego killed the franchise altogether. I've loved Bionicle hard, and watched all the movies, played the somewhat disappointing games, read the comics and books, and reviewed all of the information I could find on the Internet. But it seems so under appreciate in general. Who else here knows anything about it?

I remember those... Good times... :3

My memory of all the lore is iffy though.
I've seen all the movies but only as a kid, so my memories foggy on the plot-line.

I read a book (well, most of it. I think... I don't remember how far I got :/).
And owned a number of the figurines (Like it probably totaled 10-12 by the end).

I had all six of the original Bionicle line, and they were awesome. I remember how you could build three of them into a big super bionicle, and I ended up building all six into a colossal Bionicle.
Memories, memories...

Never managed to complete any of the other sets though, but the Borok were pretty badass.
I did love them when I was a kid though.

I used to play with them when I was 11. I even remember getting the film the day it came out on VHS! Memories... <3

Lets see, there were the Borocks (Kinda like the Gorons from The Legend Of Zelda), the Toua (Guardian people that controlled the elements) and that's all I remember...

Borocks were bad, Toua were good. Sometimes, I liked to take apart the Toua piece by piece and make it look like they were incinerated :P

As for as Bionicles go, I didn't ever own a lot. I believe they were superceded by the current "Mindstorm" line, and to an extent, Ninjango.

Always been a City person, myself.

Too bad. Bionicle displays an attention to detail within it's universe that pretty much blows any other original lego project out of the water. Also, I believe Mindstorms existed for years alongside Bionicle, which had actually been replaced by Hero Factory. Lego actually has had a lot of lines with elemental color-coded protagonists.

Yep. I loved Bionicles. It's too bad that they'd never made more movies. The first two were fantastic.

Wow....even hearing the word Bionicle makes me feel old -_- I used to be really huge into Bionicles back when I was in fifth and sixth grade. I even had the small playsets and stuff all around my room. I can't really remember much of the story though, since it's been along time and I sold alot of my stuff.

I collected them from the beginning until they stopped. I have a younger sister and some cousins who like them so they get used like they are meant to. I really liked the earth line of Bionicles, my younger sister liked the ice line and my other sister liked the water and air ones. I liked them all but earth stood out to me. Too bad the video game sucked, someone gave it to me and I tried it and it was just wow.

Shame it no longer runs, I think out of all the Lego based products I spent most of my time with those, sometimes I would combine them to see what I could make. I guess it was an idea of making them a part one element and part another element. No matter what set they were from I would mix and match, of course luckily I knew what went where when putting them back together again.

Lost interest after the first ones, because their super sayian forms lacked the personality in their designs and I just found them boring. A shame too, that was, because I really liked them. I never did much with the books or story or whatever, because it was so different from my head-canon by the time I found out it existed. I liked my own ideas better.

Well that and building huge shit. I still have a t-rex made of bionicle somewhere.

Oh man, its been a while since ive heard anyone talk about Bionicle. They were how I first got into LEGO (well i think people told me I liked duplo when I was smaller). I actually have the first twelve Toa forms and the first thirty or so comics within five feet of me as I type this, haha. everyone who comes into my room wonders what they are now.

Man I feel old when I think about Bionicles. XD
I still have a lot of mine, heck from time to time I get a few of the ones I don't have when I feel like it. They still are as cool as they were when they were first released. Shame they replaced them with that Hero Factory crud.

I have not heard or seen that name in a long time. Brings back all the fun times I had outside of playing video games. I loved the designs from the first to the last.

To be fair, Lego overall was (and still is), an awesome thing to use to create items with.

I'm a sucker for making moc minfigures.
