I've done that kind of thing before. I agree that at least a little interaction would make it a lot easier and less generic.

I do always find time travel one of those things to be wary of for roleplays as it can really mess up the flow, but the idea of foreseeing the "possible" future is something that I do like. It doesn't lock the players into what will be, but helps guide them on what may come—while also beimg a useful GM tool.

As a character I do want to see how he plays out. He is very interesting and has a nice degree of depth. Will admit I do need to fully read his cs—along with everyone elses—but I skimmed through just to see what type of cast we were running.



In regards to interactions, I'm always on the fence. I'm not too sure where my character may have met the others, but there's always that off chance that they may have talked before hand during their capture. It also does raise the question of if the characters know about each others ability (loosely mentioned here) as I do believe part of the fun is also not knowing what the person next to you is capable of.

When I was referring how my character would think about the others was presuming that they already escaped and had some time to understand each other.

I would like that my character wouldn't know the abilities of the others, because one of the minor restrictions of his powers is that he needs to know a person's power in order to enhance, granted with some people, it will be easy to guess when they start using it, but I can already image in the first conflict him shouting, "What can you do?" to everyone.

@NuttsnBolts I think it's mostly our characters don't know how they got where they are, so it is unlikely that they've met prior.

I would say we wait for after a little interaction.

Usually I am a fan of "Skip the tedious beginning part", however this is more survival focused, so it helps with the tone to start out clueless, and the beginning part is particularly important.

With the cast we have I think it would be difficult to form opinions of the relationships before actually playing it out a bit. Once our characters have met and interacted we can do a relationship list, which could be constantly updated if we felt like it.

I agree. But normally the start is more like "Alright let's get together and form a team because XYZ." In this case everyone is ignorant of one another and all brought to one place against their will. They're thrown into the action rather than meeting and then going to it.

There's so many good ways to open up on a group/team based rp and ultimately we'll have to wait til IC1 to see how it rolls off the production line—which I am so itching for right about now! The benefit to this rp in comparison to others I've been in is that everyone appears to be close to each other. A few times when I've been in rps (Garden of Shadow with @dreamingflowers as an example) where people started on opposite sides of a city or even country. While yes they work, they tend to be slower in getting into player interactions.

Why did I choose to join two different superpower roleplays at the same time. This is going to get very confusing for me. If I say something completely out of place, either one: I got this confused with the other roleplay or two: the last shred of my sanity has been destroyed.
