Two groups so far, one at the inn, the other headed there. My recommendation is to start with the inn.

A shame the old guild went down. I had all my old notes on my spelljammer variant. I got rid of the helms and replaced them with summoning circles that anyone could draw. Mages, instead of being drained could sacrifice spell slots to give their ship boosts in terms of speed, maneuverability, shields and firepower.

I rather fled 4th edition after but one adventure. My key goal was to make it possible for non-spellcasters to Spelljam. The idea was that anyone who knew how to make the runes and circles could summon a dimensional being to power the ship.

I also gave the ships shields and magical cannons. Regular catapults and ballista were still useful because they ignored those shields.

Okay. Sucky post... but I'm suffering from the Niacin Flush at the moment and I'm freezing at the same time. Bad combo. When I shiver, the skin begins to itch!

*grins* Oh no, Assallya is a sweet innocent dove and would never harm the hair upon an innocent. She's a lovely young witch that helps beleaguered lovers into fulfilling their vows to one another...

Of course... those kids happen to belong to two rival noble houses ...and a third faction has hired her to "kidnap" the adoring couple so that the two houses would blame each other and go to war but no, she hasn't harmed anyone.
