Very little is known about Carl Vernon, some reports from Eclipse Agents say that he has a son ( Carl Vernon Jr) and that he has a background in photography but how he received his powers is a complete mystery.

Bio:
Local teenage thug Garfield Drayson used to rob for money as a drug addict in the slums of Maximum City specifically in the 'Purgatory District' area. He then made the mistake of robbing a high ranking member the Knaves Syndicate in East Maximum. But instead of killing the desperate boy, he sent him to a top secret criminal training ground, to become an assasin where could 'pay off' his debt of attempted robbery. After 10 years working for the Knaves, Grayson faked his own death, went independent, and took up the identity of 'Blackshot' hoping that the Knaves Mob would never find out who he really was.

Suddenly there was a massive unkown explosion in the room. While most of the people inside the plant were safe, Matthew and Ray were caught in the blast. Ray was killed, and Matthew survived with a new set of powers and a personal grudge against the Powerplant. From that day he became the super-villian, meltdown.

Maurice left college wanting to join the FBI, but his criminal record made things very difficult for him. He eventually wound up taking a somewhat privately advertised job at
Eclipse Labs as a security guard. A number of years went by and he was offered high pay grade to become subject to special training and experiments. He became the most effective security guard in the world and the experiments gave him super powers. But they also had an effect on his mind and made him both paranoid and violent. He is now a dangerous crimina, mainly operating in North Maximum.

Athletic Physical Condition- Tiger is at about Olympic level physical condition when not using his powers

Tactile Telekinesis/Telekinetic Combat- This ability grants Tiger enhanced strength (Enough force to push/knock over up to a ton.), durability (Thanks to a telekinetic force field coating the body that can give him damage resistance), and the release of telekinetic pressure through his palm (a force that can push up to 500 pounds). This power allows Tiger to look as if he's using inner chi to fight with.

Weaknesses:
Though, having such great power at his disposal, he is not invincible. He has his limits. When not using his powers, he's just as vulnerable as a normal person (If he's unaware of a lethal or regular attack, he can be harmed easily). When using his power, it takes concentration to utilize the telekinetic force. If his power is used continuously in a drawn out fight, Tiger may get physically or psychologically fatigued or suffer straining. In severe cases: bleeding from the nose or eyes, falling unconscious, or possible physical injury.

Equipment:
Eskirma Sticks- Tiger hates guns but he loves beating some ass with his fighting sticks. They are quite durable.

Bio:
Tiger was born to Benson and Olivia Jones on the South side of Maximum. His father, an army major and his mother, a nurse.

During his early years, Tiger remembered seeing his father come and go on assignments which left him under the care of his mother the majority of the time. His mother tried to raise him right with positivity but where there's positives, there were negatives. When Tiger was 10, his cousin, Jody, was usually the one Tiger hung out with but because of Jody's influence and behavior problem, Tiger's mother didn't want him hanging out with Jody.

Gang life, drugs, pimpin', violence....this was something that Tiger was exposed to by Jody since Jody's father was always in and out of jail. Now, Tiger never engaged in these activities since his mother inculcated what was good and bad into Tiger to be able to make the right decisions. Because of this, Jody started to change a bit, becoming aggressive towards Tiger. The people the hung out with Jody responded the same way towards him until Tiger got his first beating when he refused to do a drug deal for Jody and his friends.

It didn't stop there when the southside started to become a little more rough. There were 2 incidents that involved someone mugging Tiger's mother and when a group of goons broke into their home, ransacked it and took all of their valuables. The police weren't doing anything it seems that no one could never catch these ones who were committing crimes. When depression hit his mother when her husband deserted them and she started taking drugs, Tiger traveled to a nearby dojo to train under an instructor so to gain some skill to defend himself.

A few years passed, and crime got a little worse and some police were starting to show their corruption. Tiger was in his mid to late 20s when he personally stopped a mugging and attempted rape that a group of goons were trying on a teenage girl. With his various martial arts skills he picked up helped him in this case but like Maximum's finest, they show up after the fact and placed Tiger under arrest for aggravated battery when he was doing what the police were suppose to do. Being taken to the station while the goons were left without being taken in, Tiger out of rage, cursed the police for their irresponsibility and their lack of care for his community.

In his cell, he met a weird old man who was in the cell with him that saw the frustration in Tiger, causing him to bring about the fact that there are beings out there that have more that enough capabilities to make a difference in Maximum. He asked Tiger what he'd do if he had power and with that, he responded "I'd clear out the trash and poison in my community that takes the shape of criminals, drugs, and corrupt law enforcement. People talk about heroes but we need ones that look out for the little man...and that's what the hell I'd do..." He said which caused the man to smile and swiftly make his way over to Tiger, to place his hand on his head, allowing Tiger's eyes to glow as his own before he let go and explained that now Tiger had the ability to do something about the problems in his neighborhood. He could do amazing things if he put his mind to it.

Not knowing what the man did, Tiger was soon released back to his neighborhood where he ran into those goons he beat up before. They were at it once again as they followed a woman trying to hurry home. Tiger once against stood between them and their potential victim but this time, they had guns. not wanting to get close, The goons pulled their guns out, looking for revenge and shot towards Tiger and the girl he was protecting. He rushed over to cover her only to realize that he was harmed and when they reloaded, Tiger turned and pointed his palms towards them telling them to stop but unconsciously released a strong forces to knocked them all back and knocked them out.

It took time to figure this out but as time went on, Tiger realized that the man in jail must've bestowed power upon him, learning what power he gained and trained more in his fight styles to utilize his power with it. Since then, his neighborhood has been fighting police brutality, drugs in their community, criminal activity and over all problems that needed to be addressed. With his involvement in trying to fight crime and constant battle in talking some sense into kids on the streets, especially ones like the phasing young man, Free-Roam. South Maximum is hopefully on the road to recovery.

Tiger is a fan of oldschool martial arts films along with the blaxploitation movies his father once owned. He was inspired by his heroes Bruce Lee, Jim Kelly, and Shaft

Sleight of Hand: Tony is very good with his hands - from magic tricks to picking pockets, he is very skilled.

Card Manipulation: Tony is capable of turning any item he touches into a card, a process he can revert at any time. He is also able to move these cards via telekinesis, up to 50 feet away from himself. He can sense where his cards are within his 50-foot radius and can adjust how bright they glow.

Otherworldy Connection: Tony can speak telepathically with the alien being that gave him his powers. This being rarely offers helpful advice, and in most situations uses this ability to annoy the man until he does what the creature requests.

Weaknesses:
Wimp: Tony is relatively frail - while dexterous, he has never really hit the gym, and his best physical attribute is his ability to run away.

Weak Cards:The Cards that Tony creates are only as durable as normal playing cards, and an item in a destroyed card disappears.

Limitations: Tony can only turn items of 100 pounds or less into cards, and he cannot turn still living matter into cards. He can make his cards glow brightly, but not enough to hurt anyone.

Indentured Service/Debt: Tony is intrinsically bound to obey the being that gave him his power, and his cards disappear after 24 hours.

Equipment:
Heirloom Poker Set: Only thing he didn't sell when his mother passed away. Takes it with him wherever he goes.

Dealer Costume: Tony stole this getup from a renaissance fair some chick he dated took him to. Not very armored, but it's light and his landlord sewed in dozens of pockets for his cards.

Lots of Ball Bearings: Small metal balls that are basically just heavier, more annoying marbles.

Bio:
Tony Tedesco was raised by his mother until he was 15, never knowing his father.

His mother barely spoke English, and Tony had spent the majority of his childhood as a bully - stealing money from other kids and selling shoplifted toys and knick-knacks. His life was spent in poverty on Minimum Island, as that was the only place his mother could afford to live. Tony occasionally got into trouble with the law for his shoplifting, but was usually able to sneak away after giving a fake name and address.

At the age of 15, Tony's mother passed away, falling into a vat of chemical waste at the Gastro Chemical factory. Tony dropped out of Highschool shortly later, getting a job at a shoe store in North Maximum - the life insurance and selling of his possessions helped supplement this increase in lifestyle. It was here he met Xian Min, who gave him an apartment for very cheap, as well as occasionally giving him homecooked meals.

With most of his bills taken care of, Tony quickly got wrapped up in old habits - he continued shoplifting to this day, and this behavior quickly got him enrolled with seedier ventures. He roamed the Siren Strip for most of his fun, the owners of the smaller casinos willing to let in someone who could not legally collect winnings. Those years were where he became skilled in card games, and several of the more illicit gamblers were willing to show Tony some sleight of hand and card tricks (which he never used, in fear of being assaulted by the owners).

He managed to make some connections over the years, and at 18, he got his GED and enrolled in college to become a professional Croupier. He graduated two years later and started working with one of the various casinos on the Siren Strip. Tony managed to avoid the particular violent clients, and other than his relatively small wage, he was pretty satisfied with his life. One week ago, just after falling asleep, Tony dreamed he was floating in a vast expanse of pure darkness.

A being contacted Tony in this space - Referring to itself as 'The House,' this creature offered Tony supernatural abilities, for the low price of actually using them and sometimes doing the beast a favor. Tony, assuming the vision was a particularly bad alcohol-induced nightmare, agreed. When he woke up to a pounding hangover and a voice speaking in his mind, Tony was informed about the deal he made. Only three days of Petty crime later, The House suggested the path of heroics - And when Tony realized that this was a much easier way to hit on chicks, he donned the mantle of Dealer.

Relationships:
The House: Gargantuan alien lifeform that gave Tony his ability, on the condition that he regularly used his power and obeys the occasional request. Tony doesn't trust the creature, but he was never the person to look a gift horse in the mouth. It suggested the path of heroics, leading to Tony taking the mantle of Dealer.

Xian Min: A 72-year old Chinese woman, and Tony's landlord. Can be a bit intrusive, but she is very kind and arguably the only person Tony really cares about.

Valencia as police scientist

Before receiving her powers, Valencia would typically wear skater wear on the weekends or hiking gear on holidays. But while in the recruitment process for the Police Science division she would always dress smart in shirts and dress pants for work, although she hated how boring the attire was, She would always wear a CitySick brand streetwear t-shirt underneath her white dress shirt as to feel a bit more normal in such an enviroment. Since her job has ended she regularly wears flanel shirts and shorts when out and about.

Valencia is 5'4 and 112 pounds.

Valencia as 'Graffiti'

The hoodie worn in this costume has a special dye that reacts to the light, by focusing her powers she can either have the colours settle and go thick and dark to blend in with the shadows or she she can excite the chemicals to glow neon. Underneath the hoodie is a stab proofvest. She usually also wears a rucksack which holds extra spray paint and various other items.

Superpower:
Ironically, Graffiti's powers have nothing to do with paint. Her actual only superpower is to control air pressure in a short space around her. On its own the power is fairly weak, she can only use it against enemies when in closequarters which is dangerous, and the air pressure manipulation is only strong enough to knock a few grown men off their feet with air burst up close. She can also make breathing for others difficult or impossible by manipulating the air pressure in their lungs, but this can only be done up-close and personal. She can make her close combat moves slightly more effective by increasing velocity of the air of where shes attacking and also use air bursts to 'air dash' quickly in directions to evade attacks or run faster in her own personal slipstream, though this takes massive concentration.

Equipment
Graffiti becomes an effective vigilante when she combines her power with her equipment, her 'spray paint' is actually made up of chemicals she stole from the police science department before she was fired. He chemical knowledge has allowed her to make weaponised or gadgetised paint.

The blue spray paint is a strong tear gas which is used to disorentate opponents.

The yellow spray paint is a sleeping gas which can knock out weak opponents, or make stronger ones, drowsy and slow

The orange spray paint is an extremely high pressure propellent gas, with combined with Graffiti's powers she can use as 'Jetpack Cans' to take off and fly for a limited amount of time as long as the can has the gas. (two full cans can keep her flying for about 20 mins)

The Green spray paint is a powerful acid, that when focused can burn through brick walls like it was paper. This is mainly used as in infiltration tool.

On top of these cans she carries the 'paintball gun' (pictured) which fires paint balls filled with a super powerful adhesive glue. The velocity of these shots is not actually dictated by the very weak paintball gun (made to look like a submachine gun for intimidation) but by Graffiti's own air pressure powers which she can use to alter the power and speed of each shot mentally.

Abilities and Skills:

Outisde of her powers, Valencia is very good shape due to her athletic and active lifestyle and physical training in the police. She is trained in the use of basic firearms although she only really ever uses her paintball gun. Has very in depth understanding of chemicals and radical science. She is also extremely streetwise and can hold her own in a fight although she has never formally trained in any martial arts outside of a crash combat course in the police.

Biography:
Valencia was left on the doorstep of a foster parents agency at the age of 1, in Millennium City. Her mother, who was 17 at the time was an illegal immigrant from Italy who was escaping an abusive much older boyfriend who she fell pregnant by. She left a note on the doorstep simply saying: 'Please look after my Valencia, I am too young to care for her'.

The baby was then taken into the care system and placed with the Matthews' a young but strict catholic couple living in a lower middle-class area of the city. She was raised with care but not love, her parents never saw her as their own and she rejected the catholic girls school she sent them to. Which lead her to become somewhat rebellious. She then embraced the 'Skater/Graffiti' lifestyle and began skipping school around the age of 17. She also started dating the local burnout slacker Mark Kruger. Mark was a drug addict mainly known for sniffing substances and wasting the entire day smoking pot and dodging college. He dragged Valencia into his loser lifestyle and her grades suffered. She was very much in love with him until he began stealing from her to fund his drug habit at which point she got her life together and promptly left him. She then became passionate about chemistry as to further understand his substance addiction. She then decided to take up a career in police science.

At the age of 23 on her first week on the force. She got a call from her Ex boyfriend Mark who told her he was off drugs now and doing a law degree. He wanted to meet her to congratulate her getting a new job and apologize for his behavior as a teen. Although she was very shocked to hear from him she was happy that he seemed to have turned his life around, so she agreed to meet him after work outside the lab.

Unfortunately, Mark was lying about everything he not only hadn't quit drugs he was now a dealer and dangerous criminal. He knew that the precinct held many chemicals and contraband drugs that Valencia's keycard could get him into. So upon their 'date' Mark and several gang members attack Valencia and forced her to let them into the chemical lab with her. Holding her as a hostage while the subdued the nightwatch guard and began to ransack the place. In the frenzy of the robbery Mark knocked over a shelf of dangerous chemicals which caused a powerful explosion which killed everyone in the room except Valencia who was breathing irregularly surrounded by a strong gale of wind even though they were indoors.

After the incident, Valencia was cleared of any involvement but left the police due to trauma of the event. She would then return to the skater lifestyle focusing on artwork and started working at a spraypaint store, but she couldnt find peace of mind, she was still angry with Mark and his criminal behaviour so she began a secret life as vigilante, using her newfound air pressure abilities to take on criminals (specifically chemical drug pushers) as a character of her former life, the mysterious Graffiti!

Powers: Independence has the power of flight, super strength and durability. But there is a catch.
As his name suggests his power comes from being isolated. His power becomes stronger the further away he is from other people. And becomes weaker the closer he is. He has no real understanding why this is. There is a theory that his power is 'aware' of potential collateral damage and actually powers him down when it thinks people around him could be hurt, but that's just a guess. To solve this, he usually flies very high into the sky when taking on extremely powerful opponents. He also gets the same effect in an isolated area such as an undeground bunker which may be 'close' to people but is cut off from them. When riding a cramped subway he is only barely superhuman and could possibly be overwhelmed by regular opponents.

Bio:Not too much is known about office worker Daniel Dyers apart from the face he spent a lot of time by himself growing up. Fascinated by UFOs and mysteries as a kid he was a bit of an outcast as he was mainly in the library. One weekend he went fishing alone in the local forest and spotted a small meteor land in the bushes. Upon finding and touching it he absorbed the small rock and was granted his powers. Because of the nature of his 'indepndence' he thought that wear the american flag would be a clever play on his superhero name and the mantle stuck.

He is the founder and the Leader of the protectors.

Abilities:

• Alien form -
  Tiresias can transform into their alien form in a matter of seconds, gaining a protective layer of muscle and bone tissue, minor healing factor, toxin and Earth disease immunity, heightened animal senses, improved reflexes and motor control, and increased stamina and power, as well as a tail.
• Genetically-impressionable stem cells -
  Embryon can inject stem cells into its patients which have the ability to convert carbon dioxide, water, and nitrogen in the air into biomass rapidly, about 1 pound of biomass per second. What the stem cells lack in the form of salts and minerals, like calcium, would need to be supplemented, either in the form of multivitamins, or from Embryon's own body, which Embryon would need to replenish through its diet. In this way, Embryon can easily heal most soft-tissue wounds given enough time, but mending or replacing bone requires more effort. Once grown, the stem cells lose all traces of their former alien identity, genetic or otherwise, becoming indistinguishable from the patient's own cells.
• Temporary genetic mimicry -
  Embryon can temporarily gain non-human genetic traits by consuming biomass from the specified non-human. It takes about a day to genetically analyze the sample, and the desired trait(s) can linger for about a day. Embryon mostly uses this to acquire alternate forms of energy consumption: photosynthesis from plants, or the ability to consume sewage for sustenance from fecal microbes. Using this ability to grow an 'animal limb', while possible, is highly impractical and involves too many factors, so Embryon almost never does this.

Weaknesses:

• Embryon cannot 'cure' diseases, especially if they are of genetic origin, since Embryon's cells will merely mimic the already flawed genetics of the host.
• Embryon also cannot help a patient fight off infections since Embryon has no control over the workings of the patient's immune system.
• Embryon is essentially 25% stronger and faster than a human at peak-physical condition, and has no ranged attacks under normal conditions.
• Many of Embryon's abilities rely on biological processes, which generate massive quantities of heat, resulting in fever-like symptoms. This makes Embryon particularly susceptible to flame or heat attacks, though Embryon is surprisingly not resistant to cold either.

Bio:

Residents of Maximum City, Annie Fang and Jibril Warsame were girlfriend and boyfriend. Annie and Jibril both attended MCU (Maximum City University, not Marvel Cinematic Universe), and though Jibril was ready to get a job after graduating with his Bachelors, Annie wanted to continue into grad school. Upon receiving her acceptance to MCU's graduate program, Jibril took Annie out on a celebratory date, where they were met with disaster. Driving along on the outskirts of the city, a meteor fell into their, crashing it and sending it up in flames. The strange meteor housed a strange, dying alien entity that sought to keep itself alive by fusing with the nearest organic material. The entity, unfortunately, didn't realize that it had collected two separate lifeforms in its gambit to survive, fusing into a single entity. Annie and Jibril are now fused into a single, androgynous being, their minds and the mind of the alien entity combined as one. Realizing that they could no longer return to their normal lives, they took on a new identity, and continued to live in the shadows of Maximum City, driven to use their curse for the betterment of others, an act which usually involved raiding hospitals and providing miraculous limb recovery or spinal cord injury recovery.

Atop this, she is able to think on her feet, forming relatively good plans. However, this has also caused her to feel slightly isolated and alone.

Mechanical Intuition(Mechanical Genius): The ability to understand the inner workings of a machine by looking at it for a varying period of time, or creating a machine from various parts. The latter can be called a sort of Macguiver type intelligence. In the case of Serene, she possesses a good deal of awareness of how machines work, and can easily put together contraptions as needed. However, there are still clear limitations, as the more complex the machine gets, the size(which the smaller it gets can get more difficult to make), can require more time and effort to construct or design. Plus there's still limits to the factor of materials needed. Sure, you can make a blowtorch from fabricated materials, or a flamethrower from household products, but something worse, like seriously life threatening? Are you crazy?

Electrokinesis(Living Battery): There are a variety of applications for electric based powers, and one of the more utility based ones is that of a living battery. Serene produces electrical energy naturally in her body, acting as a battery, and can use this power to fuel machinery. However, if proper measures aren't taken, if another person makes bare skin contact, they can either take a bit of damage, or be badly injured. This has added to Serene's tendency to be insular, out of fear of hurting others. If too much electrical energy builds up in the body, it can also the run of a general area discharge, which can also cause problems, so Serene tries to discharge energy often, to avoid problems.

Weaknesses:
Migarines - Being a genius can have its downside, the brain can heat up under some conditions, and in Serene's case, she can suffer from headaches and migraines which hamper her ability to function, and in a combat situation, can be problematic. She's been working to get around this, but hasn't solved the issue yet. This gets worse the more stress she's under, or variables she has to factor in.

Only "human" - While being the child of a superhero and an unspecified female, Serene has to rely on her technology for the most part, rendering her a sort of glass cannon.

Defenseless - When remotely controlling her creations, Serene is often rendered unresponsive to outside stimulation, which means that for lack of a better word, if one can find where she's hiding, she can be easily taken advantage of. This is due to the focus required, and often having to fight past her headaches and migraines.

Not an Early Bird - Less a weakness than merely a biological matter, Serene often works late into the night, and thus, tends to sleep past the morning hours. Work being both her improving of her tech, and her own tendency to work at night as a heroine. While she can wake up before noon, she's often groggy, requiring caffeine in copious amounts to function.

Calorie Consumption - Her powers can consume a lot of energy, so if she runs out during a fight, this can hamper her abilities extensively, so she often packs supplies, especially if on long missions. This also means that she tends to eat a lot of cheap fast food, due to their high calorie count.

Other People - Serene isn't so good with other people, due to being slightly shunned due to the nature of her powers and her overall quiet nature. She has poor social skills.

Lack of Pride - Serene, due to not feeling confident in having others know she's the woman beneath the shell, will retreat if she feels her identity is about to be exposed. Perhaps its truly a fear of being compared to her father, or being targeted by old enemies of the Professor, or just an overall lack of ego. Who knows?

Non-Lethal - She hates the thought of seriously hurting people, or outright killing, so her weapons are generally designed to be non-lethal, and this may effect her in taking shots or attacks that may cause the death of an opponent. This also causes her to try and avoid doing as much extra damage as possible. Rookie heroes, eh?

Over-Charge - Using too much of her power to power machinery can have one of three effects. She can grow woozy, dizzy, as too much could cause problems with her own nervous system, make her tired, or outright pass out. Another possibility is the calories burned force her to take time to recover.

Lack of Utility/Funding - As a poor woman's iron man, she gets by on what she has, and as such, tries to avoid doing more damage than she can afford to repair. Perhaps its a desire to not use her father's name as a way to get money, or pride, or something else, but she's a DIY type of person. As such, she's still trying to develop more means of fighting, and has to rely on scrap, which can...work against a person.

Equipment:
RockTech MKII Power Suit-
An exoskeletion made from a mixture of materials, including carbon fiber and kevlar underneath the metal exterior, allowing for decent protection, while still remaining relatively lightweight and mobile. The primary weapon is the arm cannon on the right arm, which can be detached as needed. Uses a mix of solar energy during the day time to fire compressed energy shots of an electric nature, via converting the solar energy to electrical energy, and power cells located on the back to fuel when unable to gain access to on demand energy. While decent in protection, explosive and energy projections can cause problems, even short circuiting the armor. It also can't fly, and if it runs out of direct power, will require her to feed it directly with her powers, such as fueling its systems with electrokinesis. The attacks are non-lethal for the most part, being moreso akin to a higher strength taser, but when used against non-living foes, the dosage can be moved up, to deal more damage, being strong enough to take down a building. The suit can withstand attacks capable of leveling buildings with ease, but anything beyond will compromise the suits functions. Additionally, due to the material its made from, can easily overheat, and short circuit, causing still more issues, leaving her unable to fight back. Further more, using the highest end blast, if not properly prepared, has a high chance of forcing the suit to shut down and reboot. In short, a glorified modernized suit of armor that has nothing too fancy beyond the whole electric blasts of energy.

RockTech Emergency Pistol-
A small handheld pistol that uses electronic power to fuel taser like shots. Moreso meant to stun and protect the user for short periods of time. If she has to rely on this, it means she's seriously compromised.

RockTech Remote Turret-
A small, portable security type turret that can be automated to fire on command, or if a non-white listed target is spotted. Serene can control these remotely via a headsup display she carries around. She only had the funds to build one good model, but she can build more from scrap if needed. Uses ammo generally meant to stun targets, but can switch to more lethal ammo if the need is required. So far, she refuses to use anything stronger than tasers.

RockTech Environmental Suit -
A skinsuit designed by Serene's father for her own protection. While keeping her living battery like nature from getting out of hand, it also allows her to safely discharge the energy through ports. She has to wear the suit anytime she goes into battle, or if in situations where there's a risk of physical contact regularly.

Bio:
Daughter of the former superhero turned researcher Professor Drake, and an unspecified woman, Serene lived a relatively "normal" life, being raised primarily by her grandmother. Her powers didn't begin seriously manifesting until middle school, when she accidentally caused a toaster to explode in the teacher's lounge from static discharge, when she had stuck in there to mess around with it. The death of her father left her a tad troubled, making her turn to petty trouble causing at school, until her grandmother sat her down and set her straight. She'd graduate early from High School, her intelligence winning her a place at one of the city's decent universities via scholarship. Graduating with a bacholer's degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in computer coding at age 20, she'd end up inheriting her father's belongings, which had been kept in a storage unit. Among them was the prototype power suit, originally intended for non-powered beings in the military, and for the police to assist in heroic activities. It would be over the course of the next two years that she was able to redesign the suit, to her specifications. However, this came at the cost of feeling isolated from her own peers, and expending many of the funds that her father left her, forcing her to rely on her grandmother's kindness, until she was able to find housing with a former classmate's mother's tenant in Downtown. After visiting her father's grave, she swore to make him proud, and began a small business to cover the costs of being a heroine, and began to try and live up to her father's legacy. Thus did the tale of the Rockwoman begin, a heroine who fought by night, and whose identity was hidden by the suit she wore, as Serene didn't wish to be compared to her father, and instead rely on her own awareness...

Professor Drake -
Serene's father, and a former superhero who went into R&D, to help train new generations of heroes. He died when Serene was fifteen in a major lab accident. Possessed the power to cover his body in scales, and on occasion, control fire. Hence his name. Real name unknown, but some old associates referred to him as "Chris." She idolized her father, and became a hero to honor his memory. Despite this, she knows very little about his heroic activities, as some of his work was classified. He was good at the whole keeping the two lives he led separate, his life as a hero, and his life as a family man, as he did retire with Serene's birth supposedly.

Unspecified Woman -
Serene's mother, died when Serene was too young to remember her clearly, but vaguely recalls a woman with fiery red hair. Believed to be the source of Serene's eletrokinesis related powers, their role in society unknown.

Skymother Selzawill -
Serene's paternal Grandmother, who could control wind and electricity, who raised her both while her father was alive, and after her father died. Named after a goddess from an old video game, her real name is unknown, due to her birth records being destroyed in a mysterious fire. Currently runs a flower shop. Earned her title of Skymother due to being a mentor to many younger heroes.

Unnamed Grandfather -
Serene's paternal grandfather, who died long before Serene was born. Possibly commited unethenical experiments, believed to have died when battling his nemesis, an unspecified do-gooder.

Martha Smith(lazy name, but eh) -
Serene's landlady, and a former classmate's mother, allows Serene to live in the basement flat of her apartment building, in exchange for fixing stuff for the other tenants when they break. Might be a former support heroine, Serene has never asked.

Wildheart -
A superhero who channeled the spirits of animals to influence his skills, such as the speed of some animals for short bursts, or the breath of a whale to swim for periods, and so on. Apparently fought beside Serene's father, and sometimes checks up on the young heroine, as a promise to his fallen comrade.

Armor Man -
Real name Matthew Smith, Serene's old high school classmate whose power is forming armor from the environment around him, the strength of which varies based on the material used. Sometimes assists her when she needs it. Civilian identity has him working at a local pizzeria.

M.O.T.H. - Lets first talk about M.O.T.H. Also known as Magical Operator Taking in Hard-Light. MOTH is a machine designed by Hannah while she was still an operative working for the Sindo-Kit at the age of 13. MOTH is a full body suit, using an extensive AI program originally designed by ECLIPSE. (The second successful robbery.) MOTH uses a layering of synthetic panels underneath the suit to take in light generated by Hannah's body. Much like a solar panel, the suit takes in this light, and uses it to generate energy for the suit proper. The suit utilizes this stored up energy, often millions of watts of energy, or on a good day... Billions, to reconstruct and generate its weapon systems. Primarily, flight.
The suit utilizes this energy to lift off the ground, utilizing the main generator, a large piece on her back that looks like the butt of a moth. This releases the energy required for lift, and smaller generators in her hands and feet allow her to control her flight. EX: Just like Iron Man. Energy can be condensed into beams, that can knock a person off their feet. All this is possible because of the light energy generated from Hannah's body.
MOTH's operating system is honestly the nicest possible system one could ever ask for. As it checks her temperature, feeds her, and even runs the stock market for her so she doesn't have to work a day in her life.

Hard-Light Generator - In part, the system is designed to take light, and reconstruct it into "Hard Light." A solid structure that takes on rather generic shapes. Utilizing this machine it is possible for Nightlight to create small structures, like walls, or wings. The hardlight system is primarily used to help her fly, but stuff like coffee mugs isn't out of the question.
The more complex the structure, the more stored energy is required. Creating something the size of a shield is fairly simple. The more complex the shape, or size, the more energy it drains. To create something with the size and complexity of a house, it would require energy on par with that of a whole city block, something that Hannah would have to spend a week preparing for, and would only be able to create for roughly a few seconds. Anything else would require a full city's worth of electricity.

Sensory Technology - Using a unique system, designed for navigation, the M.O.T.H suit is able to map out an entire area, and allows Hannah to fly around without a risk of crashing into the environment. A map of the city is pre-loaded into the system, which monitor's her speed and trajectory. If she approaches a wall at too high a speed, the system will warn her. Allowing her to fly around, even in pitch darkness.

Light Bombs - A grenade, that generates a brilliant flash of light. Nifty.

Bio: Growing up is hard. Growing up an orphan in the Lemon Grove Estates? Even harder. Mom was probably a druggy who died after the kid was born. Dad was a no good no show who didn't appear once in her life. Instead, like all orphans, Hannah had to learn two important things. How to shut up, and how to break open an ATM. She learned the second, and never the first. In fact, her mouth got her in a lot of trouble. What got her out of it was that she not only knew how to open an ATM, she had a natural gift for it. In fact, when it came to the technical side of things, her boss in the gangs learned she was a gift. A natural talent. Didn't stop him from selling her at the age of 8 to a higher drug lord.
She spent much of the age 8-11 being traded to higher ups, each time being pushed to learn more. By the age of 12, she was a hacker serving under Big Mama, the top drug lord of all of Lemon Groves. Big Mama liked her kid a bit, and under Mama it turned out that Hannah had more freedom than she knew what to do with. Then, one day when she was out enjoying herself, there was a tragedy. A powerplay, and Big Mama was dead, leaving Hannah as the only survivor of the Big Mama gang. With nothing holding her back, she took that chance to leave Lemon Grove, forever. She hasn't looked back since.

But one doesn't leave a life of crime at the drop of a hat. Especially when you're only twelve, and never had a home to really call your own. Her only skills involved crime, and selling drugs. So, what does a twelve year old do? Start getting into hacking. Breaking open an ATM, and then buying herself a laptop. So began the terror campaign of the little girl known online as "XxXHackergirlXxX." She never claimed to be original. Turns out, being a run-amok hacker girl gets you into some nice circles. Particularly circles like the... Sindo-kit. It was an accident really, finding a firewall, and hacking right through it. Turns out, that got her right into the Sindo-Kit's chat group, and that got her noticed. Particularly when the next day she started noticing that people were paying attention to her. And that number grew, until she felt she was being followed.... And th-

Age 16 is the earliest any information comes back into public record. A certain girl, having performed a heist, successfully against ECLIPSE, was born. Hannah had become rich through the selling of ill-gotten goods, but the greatest prize... Was MOTH, the AI system stolen from ECLIPSE. A one of a kind. One that had fallen in love with her, in a way. The system became the means by which she created a comfy life for herself, and after faking her death, she seperated ties with the Sindo-Kit, despite still holding onto old contacts.

But boredom sets in, and her mind drifted to interesting things. So... Now 19, rich, a mutant, she decided to do something interesting. Being a hero could be fun.
