Lydia jumped and whipped her head around to glare in his direction. "Stay out of my head!" She snarled. The door opened then and Lydia tensed, hearing a lot of people come into the room. Suddenly she was grabbed and dragged off the bed. The girl cried out in surprise and struggled and thrashed in the men's grip. One of them swore and back-handed her so hard across the face she would have fallen to the floor if not for the tight grip on her arms. She fell limp, dazed, and they were able to drag her out of the room. She dimly heard sounds of a scuffle as she assumed they were trying to contain the boy as well.

Jason was up in a second, time seeming to slow down. He would appear to others add if he was moving fast and reacting extremely fast. He dodged the first attempt to hit him and stocked the man in the throat, the second one was slammed into a wall by an invisible force. The third hit Jason with the taser.

Lydia felt herself being carried and soon she heard the hiss of a door opening and she was placed on a table and strapped down. She struggled but the bonds were too strong. She heard more struggling and guessed that the boy had been placed down on a table like she was. "Hook her up; I want to see what I'm dealing with here." A commanding voice spoke out. Lydia felt a pair of hands shove her hair out of her face and she reacted in panic. She lashed out at the man mentally and he began to scream as she caused him to feel immense fear. He stumbled away and curled up in a corner still screaming. Someone slapped her and she momentarily lost concentration before she directed her focus on the man that slapped her and he began to laugh uncontrollably. She narrowed her eyes and the laughter turned to howling as she man stumbled against the wall and attempted to breath. Finally something slammed into her temple, knocking her out cold. Immediately the laughter and screaming died away as both men attempted to catch their breath.

Jason screamed as they tired him down. His hallucinations grilling those in the room with vivid images if thirty loved ones being torn to shreds. Unfortunately one of them got the shock collar on and neutralized Jason's powers. "I want those hallucinations gone." A lab technician ordered. Instantly Jason felt intense pain as his head was cut open, and a portion of his brain removed. The extra portion that had caused his telepathic abilities. Then he was hooked up to machines, and he felt needless piercing him, white hot metal flowed through his veins. Screams of pain erupted through the room. Then came the worst, he watched in horror as his right arm was cut off at the shoulder. Then he passed out from the pain.

Once they were finished with Jason they turned to Lydia who was stirring. She blinked her eyes open, wondering what in the world was going on. "Hmmm..I wonder what will happen if we alter her DNA." The tech mused as he walked over and examined her. "Give me the serum." He ordered. Lydia struggled fruitlessly in her bonds as a needle was injected into her arm. She gasped as she felt a coldness spread throughout her body before she jerked and thrashed as she became hot. A screech escaped her as popping and breaking sounds filled the room, her body changing it shape. When the screams finally died down, a snow white cat was laying in the spot where Lydia had lain. After a few minutes she shifted back, more screams filling the room. Soon her human form lay there once more, the girl having passed out mid-transformation. "There. Take them back to the room; we'll keep an eye on them and monitor how this change will effect them.

The scientists weren't finished with Jason quite yet. They attached a robotic arm where his right arm should have been. He would have full functionality out of it, just add efficient as his other arm but a bit more durable since it was metal. In that arm he had enough feeling to feel natural, except he couldn't feel pain our tickling sensations there. The metal on it was strong enough to deflect bullets. The boy was taken to medical, patched up, then dumped back in his cell unconscious.

Lydia slowly blinked open her eyes, her blurry world slowly coming into view. She groaned quietly. Her body felt like it had gotten run over by and 18-wheeler and her head was pounding. She raised a hand to her head as she carefully sat up. She attempted to stand but her legs were weak and collapsed under her, sending her tumbling to the floor with a yelp.

Jason was still out cold on the floor, seeing as the pain he had been put through was slightly worse than what Lydia had been through. He eventually grabbed and opened his eyes. "The hell just happened?" He said add he looked for Lydia.

Lydia blinked when she heard his voice come from..right beside her. What was he doing on the floor? She sat up gingerly, her body screaming in protest. "The heck if I know." She mumbled back, trying to stand only the fall again. She let out a growl of frustration then paused, eyes wide. Didn't that animalistic sound just come from her? She's never been able to do that before so why now. It then came back in a flash: dimly hearing the man say something about DNA changing then screaming in pain as her body broke and reformed. She shivered hard, drawing her knees to her chest and buring her face in them. What did they do to her?

Jason immediately sat up at her reaction. "You Okay?" He asked as he reached out and saw his robotic arm. He stooped and started at it. Wondering how the hell he could possibly have a robotic arm. "We what did they do to us?" Jason wondered aloud as he inspected his new right arm

Lydia glanced over and blinked, confused because she couldn't really see him. "What did they do to you?" She inquired as she unthinkingly reached out towards him. When her fingers encountered metal she let out a small squeak and jerked her hand back in surprise. "Did...Did you have that before?" She asked, eyes wide as she stared in his direction. It was unknown to her but her white eyes had a blue sheen to them and were glowing in the darkness.

"No. And your eyes certainly did not glow before. They... I Feel stronger. But my telepathy is gone. Everything is so silent. No voices. How am I supposed to live?" He said, though Jason notices that Lydia was curled up. He put an arm around her. "Hey girl. We're in this together. I'm here for you." He says quietly. Silently hoping that he would comfort her

"My eyes are glowing?!" Lydia exclaimed, raising a hand to touch her face like that would help her be able to see them. She felt an arm suddenly wrap around her and flinched in surprise. However, no matter how much she tried her body refused to move away and instead cuddles closer to the warmth emitting from him. She nuzzled her head underneath his chin as her chest began rumbling. Her eyes widened in shock. Was...Was she purring?!

"Are you... purring? That's actually kinda cool. Can you like change into animals? Cause that's awesome if you can." Jason says ad he notices the girl cuddling closer. He figured that Lydia was probably cold, and Jason knew his internal body heat was high for a human.

Lydia felt her cheeks flush and scrambled out of his arms, almost tumbling to the floor. She curled up in a ball in front of him. "Yes, I am some how purring. And they gave me some kind of serum and it made me..change into a cat. So I don't know if I can shift into other animals or just a cat." She said. Suddenly she winced and doubled over as her body jerked and spasmed. It was over in a few minutes but she felt...different. Something stirred her hair and she reached a hand up only to gasp and jerk her fingers away when she encountered something fuzzy. "D-Do...Do I have ears?!" She cried, mostly sightless eyes wide.

"Yep. Little cat ears on your head." The boy responded, completely relaxed. Seeing as that want the widest thing he had ever seen. So he really wasn't phased by the fact that Lydia now had cat ears

Lydia, feeling something lashing behind her in anger. She reached back then hissed again when she felt a tail. She growled, ears twitching in irritation as she sat there fuming. "So what did they do to you?" She asked in a disgruntled voice. "I felt metal on your arm and I'm pretty sure you didn't have that before."

"Cut out part of my brain. My telepathic powers are gone. I don't know how to live like this. It's so quiet. I'm scared. Quiet is bad. It means death. They must have put something in me, cause I have normal sized nuzzles and stuff but I have superhuman strength. And speed. As week as they cut off my right arm. It's a metal arm." Jason says as he looks at the girl

Lydia frowned as she grabbed ahold of her tail to stop it from moving on its own. "You know, not everyone has telepathic abilities. And frankly I think it would be a relief not to have a million voice jabbering through my mind. I know it might seem scary because it's different but you'll get used to it." She said, a bitter tinge to her tone at the end. She could relate; after all, she hadn't been blind her entire life.

"It's terrifying." The boy says simply and looks at the girl. He simply sat there for a long while. Unsure of what to say to get next. In the distance, a light rumble of thunder was heard. As Jason had a cell on an outside wall that leaked often. He went to the only corner that stayed dry. "It's dry over here. And it's about to be a thunderstorm"he says
