OK I watched the first episode on Netflix. Is it a problem that I have not seen the entire series yet? I would not wish to rely to much on the series for characterizations, without knowing more about it, but it is my problem, not yours, that I have not watched it.

Nope, any knowledge of the series is not required whatsoever. I think I'm the only person taking characters from the series (Rumple and Red Riding Hood). So yeah, just a basic knowledge of the chosen characters stories (which I will have them post since things are being changed around).

So if your set on being Tom Thumb, come up with his 'backstory'/previous history and post it here, unless of course there are secret things you want to be revealed only in game, then you can pm me instead and we can discuss your character in more detail.

I somehow missed this...Yes! If you can find a way to tie it into a better known story I say go for it!

I'm thinking that Night is grandfatherGodfather Death's actual son...the others, I have to think about...
Oh, also, just making sure...the red rider 'Sun' isn't little red riding hood, right?

Major Ursa WAS going to do something along the lines of Ariel, but dunno anymore lol so yeah I think she's free...

Not Ariel. It was the original princess that the prince did marry in the old version of the story. The mermaid kills the prince, and leaves the distraught princess...
Seeing her lover covered in blood from his stab wound, and the mermaid give her one final look before dropping into the sea, this princess vows revenge and become a pirate queen...killing and or selling, even eating the mermaid she captures on the open sea. Or, something along that line.

Maybe, but for now, I'm sticking to the three riders who were background characters in Vasilisa the Beautiful.

Correct, that would just be too much me thinks lol. Why don't you come up with a quick back story for your character, and summarize the story for us that are unfamiliar with where your character comes from.

Are you planning on taking all three of them as characters? Or just one?

Godfather Death - how mister Death treats his godchildren
Vasilisa the Beautiful - the original fairytale
I searched up black horseman...found a page on the four horsemen of the apocalypse. I'm not doing that, rest assured!
(though, it would make sence, since the order is white, red, black, then the pale horse of death...which wasn't intentional when I thought that...though, OMG, I think that might be what was originally implied in Vasilisa the Beautiful! Since Vasilisa asks Baba Yaga each about their names, then the last thing she may have inquired about would have been her death...)
The riders/horsemen are implicitly knights, as well as personifications. So, white knight, red knight, and black knight.
I'm RPing as the Night, and NPCing the other two.

Thanks Ursa, I'll read up on this and see if I can't come up with a plot/idea twist (unless you have on in mind already?) And just a question, are you keeping the knight a male? I want to make sure we have an equal amount of each gender as much as I can...

Day and Night are males, Sun is female.
Feel free to PM me any twists you want to impliment to my characters, plots or backstories. Here is my thoughts on the horseman of the apocalypse this...
said 'I would like to ask you ,' said Vasilisa, 'about the horsemen. Who was the white horseman who rode past me in the forest?'
'That was dawn, my bright dawn,' answered Baba Yaga, beginning to grind her teeth.
'And who was the red horseman?'
'My servant, my red sun,' answered Baba-Yaga, grinding her teeth a little more this time.
'Who was the black horseman?'
'My servant, my black, dark night,' answered the old witch fiercely.
'Any other questions?' she shrieked suddenly, her eyes flashing wildly. 'Speak!'
Vasilisa thought of the three pairs of hands and was about to ask about them, but quickly stopped herself on seeing the frenzied look in the witch's eye.

Each horseman comes/appears according to their name.
The white rider rides by at dawn, the red rider at high noon, and the black rider at the onset of night.
'Day/Dawn' - 'High Noon Sun' - 'Night'
If she had asked about the last thing, she would have seen the last horseman. She would have seen death on his pale horse before he delivered death to her.

If I can have Ariel, then I'd like her to be fairly homicidal. If the princess who gets Eric is not claimed, she dies. =D

Ursa - I read both stories, you were thinking of making Night the godson of Death? Or did I read that wrong? I think I just need your back story for your black knight lol

Calla - I am also here if you need help :)

Rainmaker - I kind of feel like Ursa came up with the idea first, it's alright with me if it's alright with Ursa lol

Thomas Thumb

He is the son of Thomas the plowman and his wife Gerta. He was promised to them by Rumpelstiltskin after Gerta wished for a son, even if he was no bigger than her thumb. Thomas was born three months later and was indeed no bigger than her thumb. His midwife was the Queen of the fairies who bestowed up him an outfit made from nuts, leaves and the like.

Tom was not the best of boys and used his size to play pranks on the other boys. He would hide in their pockets and make noises like a cat, or creep through their windows at night and steal their coins. Generally he was a bit of a menace. Still, his mother loved him dearly. His mother started to keep him close to her to keep him out of mischief, but he still got into troubles.

He was, at different times, swallowed by a cow, baked into a muffin and carried away by a raven. Each time he survived by the narrowest of margins. The raven, when it caught him, dropped him into the castle of a giant, who swallowed him, but vomited him back out his window, into the sea. A sea fish swallowed him next, and it was in turn caught by a fisherman. The fisherman sold it to a maid of the queen's court, who cut up the fish to serve it, after baking it, and narrowly missed killing Tom in the process. Again though, Tom was magically lucky and managed to escape unharmed, running across the queen's table. He became her court dwarf, and was even fitted with a tiny suit of armor, for her amusement.

When he was eighteen, the Queen of the Fairy's visited him, as he lay sleeping in a rose. She left him presents to mark him manhood, including shoes which could carry him anywhere in a moment, a girdle of shape changing which could make him three feet tall, an enchanted hat of knowledge and a ring of invisibility. He continued his pranks, using these new gifts and generally amused the queen and her court with his antics.

Tom stands only two inches high and has a wiry build. He has a round, pleasant face, blonde hair and blue eyes. He has started to grow tired of his life at court and longs for adventures in the wide world, but his mother worries about him leaving. His dear old father has past on, but his mother still lives with him at court, and tries to keep him out of mischief.

Naw, he's Death's actual son...kind of estranged, since Death killed his godson, who was Night's only human friends. He occasionally works with Baba Yaga, when the old witch woman tests people...otherwise, he doesn't involve himself in her acts of pure villainy.
Also, I didn't intend for this...I said earlier that Night was going to be a police officer in the modern curse thing, and then now I learn that the black horseman of the apocalypse is the 'law bringer'.
I shouldn't be so surprised by this, as all of the old fairytales has religious tones here or there.

Naw, naw, they can take the Little Mermaid stuff.
