"Oh, right. Because I'm going to just go ahead and ignore the fact that you're pointing a giant glowing drill bit at my heart." Even as he spoke, Arty himself began compounding energy into his left arm again and stalking to his right, moving to place Max between himself and the gunman in an effort to force him to split his attention. It was time to play a little monkey in the middle, except now it was a giant lizard instead of a primate, and instead of trying to keep something away from him they were trying to kill him. Still, there were some similarities.

Effortlessly kicking the new piece of wood out of the way Alexander then raised his rifle again. "firing for effect" he said as he squeezed of five more rounds at the lizard. He had aimed three center mass and two to the head.

Max waited till the last second to react, using as much time as he could to keep charging energy and shadows. Just before the gunman fired he used Lith to launch him into the air with a root, Lith exploding into a cloud of flower petals around him as it changed back to first form, hiding him from the gunman's sight and leaving him overcharged on energy. Turning Lith back to normal having caused all the energy stored in it to rush back into max, lighting him up like a bulb for the other man but hidden from the one he wanted to attack.

He twisted in the air and channeled all the energy from Lith into his empty foot, the other one still holding Digan, and formed the energy bow with a difference. The excess of energy poured into it causing it to be larger than normal but leaving him with only one arrow that was the size of a spear. Using both arms to draw the bow he let the large arrow loose with the speed of a bullet at the gunman's chest

Meanwhile, he hadn't forgotten the electric man, while forming the bow he unleashed the mass of shadows. Thousands of three foot long needle like shadowsteel spikes stabbed through the ground around and under the man, all aiming for his body, those to far away to impale him launching out of the ground at him, leaving nowhere for him to move but up into the air.

As he landed he ran, grabbing his swords and vanishing in a cloud of purple mist, leaving to let his ribs heal and find easier prey.

When the spikes began to emerge from the ground at his feet, Arty released the energy gathered in his left hand and a brilliant burst of light and electricity shot out of his hand and into the onrushing spikes, burning half of them from existence before they'd even traveled more than a few inches. As he did this, he moved toward the now cleared area and off of the spikes that had been working their way through the soles of his shoes, raising his sword as he did so to ward of the spikes launched at him from his right. Given the sheer brilliance of the blade, most of the spikes disappeared long before they touched it, and those that didn't were far too weak to cause any damage by the time they struck something.

The attack dealt with, Arty turned to re-engage his opponent, only to find that the lizard man was fleeing. For a brief moment he contemplated pulling him back with a gust of air, but decided against it. The man was clearly defeated, and there was no need to add insult to injury. Instead, he turned to the last remaining opponent. "So, you feel like dying?"

Alexander had shunted to the left the minute the arrow had been shot and effortlessly dodged it. He already had his rifle raised when Arty turned towards him. In reply he smirked and retorted "not particularly what about you?"

"Oh, your bullets wouldn't do much I'm afraid, and I've seen how fast you are." He shrugged. "I'm not particularly worried about my chances." He began to walk closer, sword still in hand. "I think it's fairly obvious that whoever concocted this little shindig isn't gonna show up, so I figure we can either part ways now, or you part ways with your head." He raised the sword and pointed it at the other man. "What's it gonna be?"

throwing the rifle to the side Alexander ripped his helmet off showing a young and smirking face. He threw the helmet down beside his gun and pulled out his knife. "From what ive seen your damn tough, but so am I. However I do believe your right we have killed the majority of the others and I see no reason to kill you now that you don't have motive to kill me." Throwing the knife down inbetween them Alexander extended his hand for a handshake.

"the name is Alexander its nice to meet you."

A huff escaped Arty's lips and he let the sword vanish, then nodded toward the extended hand. "That's a bad idea, shaking hands with me." He walked closer, passing the knife and stopping just out of arms reach. "And what do you mean we? I don't recall you killing anyone here." A half smile that mirrored the smirk on alexander's face appeared. "The name's Arthur. You look like a man out of place, what with all that high tech armor and those turrets and that gun. Those aren't the kind of things you'd normally find on a world like this." Having been cast from his own world, and on a journey through countless others in his attempts to find a way back, Arty had a vested interest in finding out as much about this man and where he'd come from as he could. "How'd you get here, exactly?"

" I killed the magic construct over there." Alexander said nodding towards Rauchnaughts smoking corpse. "My name is Alexander Argentum and my story is an interesting one. Where im from is earth in the far future. There has been a huge war and it has spilled into multiple dimensions. I was in one of those dimensions and killed an enemy officer. However before he died he managed to warp us, im guessing his gear malfunctioned thanks to that iridium soaked blade and I ended up here. Glad you like my armor and turrets though. My armors uplink got busted and his is fried so I am stuck here. Anyway judging by your clothing I can tell you have money maybe we could come to some sort of agreement? Most people with money would love to have a mercenary from the future." He smirked as he finished.
