Yes you will need to defend. And depending on your rolls it might be a little anticlimactic.

Anyway Ot your turn as I doubt Descartes is gonna take that power move to his face, which due to its perk if used in the same round on someone who already had their turn makes them lose their turn. So yeah

Wait, firstly, when did Descartes' character get attacked with a power move?

Secondly, Did Defendia just take down the one aiming for Freya?

Last round descartes got targeted with a power move. Like I said its perk makes you give up a turn if you acted before to defend yourself and I doubt he'll want to take full damage.

Also Defendia only hurt it slightly but not enough to kill it and it doesn't interrupt the attack.

Your puppet(or anyone else around you) would lose its next turn to act for it to take a defense roll for you. Other person has to be the one to decide to take that action of course.

Anyway yeah I nerfed the fuck out of descartes no rolling a mass of 10 d6s for combat anymore. Now he's capped at adding 5 dice to his base 2d6 roll.

Also I emailed the writer of this rules and got a response.
