The Precipricks (the group of dudes I came here with, who run Precipice of War) actually had an idea like his a long time ago. The idea was almost exactly that. The history was alternate, where Pompey won the civil war against Caesar. Pompey would have been dead (from suspicious circumstances) at the start of the RP, though, and the players would take control of Roman families. I don't remember what the goal was supposed to be for everyone, but I think people were to supposed to be free to do whatever. So they could simply serve Rome, support someone trying to fill Pompey's spot, or try to take it themselves. This was in another forum. I started writing an OP for it but support quickly went to shit and I decided it wasn't worth it.

Hmm, if we did a 1900 I'd either opt for the United States, Britain or Austria-Hungary(because what is better than the United States of Greater Austria?)...though living in the glory of Wilhelm II would be nice xP
