Megumi looked at him and said "How can you be so trusting? Even Bane doesn't fully trust me, why do you so easily?"

James smiled slightly. "I can sense a person's true feelings. I don't know why but I've always had that ability. So I can tell you're not a bad person. After all, if you were planning to harm us I would sense the intent to harm or kill."

Megumi looked away and said "Intent....animals never have the intent to harm or kill....they just do it...because they have to survive...like using a weapon...the weapon doesn't have a choice of who it harms...its just a tool..." She sighed and said "You both shouldn't be here...it was a mistake to bring outsiders into all of this..."

James looked at her for a couple seconds, then suddenly started to laugh. "So that's what I've been feeling." He smiled at her. "It actually makes it that much better. After all, I am the wolf sage, after all." He chuckled as he dispelled the clone he had in the woods that was gathering nature energy, his eyes changing to be like that of a wolf's.

Megumi jumped up, moving backward. Her eyes changed to the silver color Bane had seen before and the charkra cloak appeared around her, the wolf tail appearing. "It can't be...no way...stay away...please..." She moved back, Bane waking up and looking around. "Guys? What's wrong? Megumi what the heck?"

James sighed as he let the Nature chakra fade, his eyes turning back to normal. "Sorry. I guess it was a bad idea to show you that I'm a sage..." He then called out. "Bane, just go back to sleep. You need to rest." He looked at Megumi. "I'm sorry if me being a sage bothers you. If you want, I can head back and get them to send someone else..." He slowly stood, and turned around.

Bane sat up and said "James...look at her eyes...she did that before. When she thought you were hurt they did that glowy thing...and her charkra is all funny again..." Megumi moved back, tears in her eyes. "Please...don't hurt him...please he isn't a threat...please...please..." She turned away, holding her forehead. Her whole body was shaking, the chakra cloak getting bigger. Bane jumped up, limping as he moved to stand by his friend. "I don't think she's scared of you buddy...I think she's scared for you." MEgumi started breathing hard, wrapping her arms around her self and muttered to herself "His not like them...please don't do this...don't take over...not right now...he won't hurt us...please, just go back to the door...please..." BAne flinched then said "I can't her flows...I'm still too weak...I need more chakra to see what is going on inside her"

James sighed and his eyes changed to being like the golden eyes of a wolf again, before he looked at her. "Hm...it seems her other source of chakra is using her emotions as a means to take over and control her..." He seemed to fade out of existence and reappear behind her with how fast he moved, and placed a hand on her shoulder, transferring a small amount of nature chakra to her through the contact, the special properties of the chakra cancelling out the potency of her special chakra, allowing her to remain completely in control despite the fact that the cloak was still there, causing the cloak to turn a bright silver.

Bane turned his head as the cloak changed, Megumi gasping and feeling the pressure lessen in her mind. She panted, sweat running down her skin as she muttered "I'm so sorry James...she was just scared...her and sages haven't gotten along in the past...she panicked when she saw what you were and animals go on the attack....when scared..." Bane moved over and said "You going to be alright, Megumi?" Megumi turned and looked at them both, her eyes silver and animal like as she said weakly "I will be...I just need to..." She swayed slightly, the rush of energy and chakra running thru her making it hard for her to focus. Bane said "James, is she alright?"

James sighed and picked her up bridal style, walking towards the cave. "She just needs to rest. Once she gets some sleep, and probably speak with her tenant about the fact that I'm not gonna harm them. After all, I follow the teachings of a true sage. All life is precious, but I do kill if it's to survive or to save someone else."

Bane nodded and followed them and said "So she is the host for something? Any idea what?" Megumi leaned her head against James's shoulder, closing her eyes as she tried to calm her breathing. This was the worst time to have her partner lose control.

James looked at Bane. "No idea. Her tenant is probably wolf-like though. Must be why her smell is similar to a wolf's is." He carefully laid her down where Bane had been resting previously, before sitting down beside her. "I'm kind of curious as to why her tenant is so scared of sages though..."

Bane leaned against the cave wall and said "well back in the day sages were the ones who sealed a lot of different spirits away. Maybe this one was sealed somewhere by a sage"

"Probably. Since nature chakra can cancel out the influence that the chakra of beings such as the Bijuu have on humans," James said. He looked down at Megumi. "Well, at least she's calmed down a bit. I might have to use that special technique I made that allows me to enter someone's mindscape and speak with their tenant."

Bane sighed and said "You think you can do it fast? We need to get moving before dawn...and Megumi needs to be ready to fight when we get to her village...think you have enough to fix her up in time?"

James nodded, then did a few handseals, before touching two fingers to Megumi's forehead. His consciousness was then pulled from his body and into Megumi's mindscape, where her and her tenant would be.

Bane moved forward and caught James, sighing. "Be safe my brother..."

James appeared in what looked like a temple, old and full of green wild plants. He heard voices ahead of him and if he moved forward the voices got clearer. "You're over reacting to nothing. You took over without my permission" megumi said, looking into the alter where all that could be seen were bright silver eyes. There was a sign then a voice said "his a sage...a threat. They can't be trusted. They are the reason we are in this contract"

James just stayed quiet as he calmly walked up towards them. He let his sage mode fade as he walked forward, his eyes changing back to their normal color. He sighed as he stepped beside Megumi. "If you're that paranoid I can always just keep my distance, you know." He didn't even seem to care if they were surprised at him being here. He appeared to be perfectly calm, despite being inside someone else's mind, where they could do whatever they want to him.

Megumi turned and said "James..." The eyes in the dark said "just like a sage...thinking they can do what they want" megumi looked back and said "his not like that. He saved me twice. Does that mean nothing?" The eyes said "you are young...I can't expect you to understand "

James sighed as he looked at the eyes. "I only came in here to try and explain that I'm not going to harm you or Megumi, but if you're not even going to listen, I should just leave. I'm actually trying to be nice here, but your grudge against all sages is annoying. You just happened to have shitty luck when it comes to meeting sages. That doesn't automatically make all sages horrible people. So you should shut your mouth."
