Welcome to Kobayashi’s School for the Gifted: a private academy for humans who exhibit supernatural tendencies. In short, it is a school for young witches and wizards. If you have received this letter, you are one of the lucky few students we are accepting this year. Congratulations! We are excited to have you this year. Upon joining, you will need to supply the following materials for yourself:
- A wand
- Regular school supplies
- Clothes for off-campus excursions
Everything else will be supplied to you as part of your scholarship. Remember, school begins on August 27th this year. We look forward to having you! Oh, and don’t forget to burn this letter when you finish reading it and keep your enrollment a secret.

History of Magic

Teacher: Ms. Mori
Difficulty: 4 (out of 5)
Focus: The History of Magic class is quite self-explanatory. Students will cover the beginnings of magic and its progression in human civilizations over time. The class is fast paced and requires the memorization of vast quantities of information.
Prerequisites: None

Enchantment

Teacher: Ms. Suzuki
Difficulty: 1 (out of 5)
Focus: Enchantment is the study and practice of illusory magic. It is one of the easiest forms and any wizard can learn it without difficulty. The class is paced by a preset curriculum, however if the slowest student learns faster, then it will pick up speed.
Prerequisites: None

Summoning

Teacher: Mr. Yoshida
Difficulty: 3 (out of 5)
Focus: Summoning is the practice of calling upon magical beasts to do one’s bidding. The class is paced by each individual student, as not all wizards are partial to this form of magic. Those who have the Summoning aptitude will be graded more harshly than those who do not.
Prerequisites: Enchantment
Elective Class; Only available to second+ year students.

Divination

Teacher: Mr. Hayashi
Difficulty: 4 (out of 5)
Focus: Divination is the study and practice of reading the future. Very few wizards have the aptitude for this class, but most are able to see at least a few minutes ahead. The class is slow paced, but rigorous.
Prerequisites: Enchantment
Elective Class; Only available to second+ year students.

Hexing

Teacher: Mr. Tanaka
Difficulty: 3 (out of 5)
Focus: Hexing is the study and practice of battle magic. Students will learn basic offensive and defensive spells to protect themselves in a fight. Wizards are usually only partial to one or the other (offensive or defensive). Very few are able to master both, so they are each graded more harshly on the one they have an aptitude for.
Prerequisites: Enchantment
Required Class; Only available to second+ year students.

Potions

Teacher: Mr. Fujikage
Difficulty: 5 (out of 5)
Focus: Potions is another self-explanatory class. Students will learn the basics of concocting medicines, poisons, and other such things. Any wizard can learn these skills, so the class has a set curriculum. It is fast paced and graded very harshly.

Personality
Momo is a little more impulsive than most of her fellow house-mates. She can be quick to take offense or jump to a false conclusion, which often leads others to believe she is cold. However, despite her frosty demeanor, she really is caring at heart. In fact, the best word to describe her would probably be tsundere.

Momo was, of course, placed in the house of intellects for a reason. She is calm and calculating in situations that require delicacy, and she is quite smart. She doesn’t flaunt her intelligence though, as she thinks braggers are irritating people that don’t deserve the talents they were blessed with. However, she is far from perfect and occasionally slips up in her humility, especially in a heated argument. She doesn’t mean to fall into hypocrisy, she just doesn’t always think before she speaks.

Momo has an almost obsessive compulsive desire to learn new information, so she has developed an overwhelming curiosity about what is hidden in the school’s secretive basement.

also, just a fair warning, I'm a bit new to casual RP, seeing as I usually spend my time in Free RP. That probably won't be much of an issue, though, but I do sometimes worry a lot that mess up ICly (and sometimes I do)

Personality:
Zaseki is mentally insane, but his insanity is like the Joker's; insulting and basically a prick. He's often unremorseful and can have a large ego, often. The only way a person could ever be friends with him is if they either put up with his prickishness, they didn't care, or they were a prick as well, because he would be making insults at even them when they had the chance.

Zaseki is not very bright, and not only can do badly in class, but also doesn't usually know when to stop with the insults, possibly leading to his or other's injury. If you were to injur him or cause him pain, he would feel it and it would be terrible. Once the pain ends, however, he will forget about it, and when reminded, he won't care. He focuses on the future, and events from the past usually don't usually concern him.

Zakku's the kind of guy who is great to be around with. He's friendly, talkative and inviting by all means. He loves to talk to people and engage in a conversation with them. His personality earned him many friends in the school and he looks like he's the popular guy besides the house leaders-- Where in reality he just loves including other people with him. His days before he got into the magic school was slightly different because of his skill in magic. As normal human beings are afraid to everything that is alien, Zakku isn't accepted. This process of alienation was what built his passion to become so friendly with others in the magic school.

His wand is called 'The Subjugator'-- A wand that does not yield to the wizard's attempt to cast holy magic. It also seems to be very attuned to Dark Magic.

Personality: When going to a new school, Emily Hines starts out to be shy and nervous being around people she doesn't know. Some time later, or when she makes her first friend, she breaks out of that shell and shows her true colors. She is normally kind to others, wanting to make tons of friends and no enemies. Unfortunately for her, she still winds up having a couple of enemies because of the fact that she happens to switch personalities.

The reason behind her going from kind to sweet then harsh to mean, is because of the fact that she is bipolar. Normally, no one can really predict when her personalities will switch except for those that are close to her. Rarely, anyone outside of her friends can notice it as well because sometimes what gives it away will be the color of her eyes darkening.
Other: Emily is bipolar, making it sometimes hard for her to keep any friend she makes. She also likes to draw anything that catches her eyes as well listening to classical music.

Personality: With a carefree and lazy attitude, Takezo appears to be a leaf blowing in the wind, never bothered by anything and more than usually going with the flow. His usual attitude conceals an extremely clever mind and an even sharper cunning; calculating most things and reading through situations as if they were school academics.

Especially fond of adventure and new experiences, he's always willing to jump into a developing situation if it piques his interest. Light-hearted and always easygoing, there isn't much that can upset him or even surprise him

Hotheaded, reckless, and a go-getter are a few words for Akari. She represents her house with pride. It's not uncommon to see her getting into an argument, she's prone to them with her big mouth. Her social skills are definitely not up to par, voicing her thoughts without a second guess. This usually leads to her hurting others feelings without really realizing it. Her pride also gets in the way of her sometimes, stopping her from admitting she may or may not need help.

Akari is brave, to the point of being stupid sometimes. She lets her feelings get in the way, and doesnt like listening to people much. Its hard to get her respect and a few teachers are well aware about. Although she comes off as rough, she does deeply care about some people and has a soft spot for the younger first years. She:'ll stick up for them if she doesnt think they can on their own.

Akari has a weak spot for white roses and caramel. She also has a deep rooted phobia of insects and spiders, and she still sleeps with a stuffed bear.

Personality: She's quite creative and cunning, but caring in her own fashion. But she doesn't mind having to play the game to get what she wants and needs. Eloquent and in her own way a little intimidating, she's actually good on the inside, once and if you get to know her.

Other: She came from parents that are wealthy and powerful, but due to her background, there's a lot of pressure and judgement on her. She has a weird fear of skin infections, and fish (but she'll eat fish). Her favorite food is tea and homemade dumplings.
