Oh sorry, no it's cool. I love life detection and eye abilities, they evoke something deeply spiritual in a character.

Name: Artemis Desarte

Age: 32

Gender: male

Relic: the Third Eye is a pendent with an eye motif. So far Artemis has been able to unlock it's potential enough to see certain forms of energy on a visible spectrum. He can use this to differentiate between different beings, such as humans and Evokers, and even between certain people if he spends enough time with them.

Skills: Artemis is a researcher by trade, and so is adept at gathering information. He also knows a personalized self defense form he calls "River and Wind", which involves a lot of shifting momentum and using the opponent's attacks against them..

Background:
Artemis was found abandoned at a church, and thinks of his time spent growing up there as "The most useless years of my entire life". As soon as he was old enough to think for himself, he left the church without another word, taking shelter anywhere he could find it before being found squatting in an old scholar's house. The scholar, not one to simply throw the starving boy out, fed him and gave him a room, and soon discovered a cutting intelligence he possessed. This is where Artemis believes his life began in earnest, and he even went so far as to take the old man's name as his own. He was never officially adopted, but they were still the closest thing each of them had to a family. When Desarte Sr. died, His house and all his possessions went to Artemis, and Artemis saw no nobler way to repay his memory than to continue his research.

Artemis

 Appearance:

Motivation: Artemis is a researcher at heart and his ultimate goal is uncovering the truth. Whether that's the truth about the Relics or the truth about some conspiracy, his desire is the same. Some might think he has a deeper reason to study the relics though.

Theme:

Also I found this while pic hunting, and I'd just like you all to know:

Name: The Starry Vagabond (Real name Unknown)

Age: Estimated 34

Gender: Male

Relic Description: A long golden staff with a strange symbol engraved up and down its length, at the top rests a clear orb filled with smoke, and a small light emits from the center. Can bend the laws of gravity within a ten foot radius of himself. make it push harder or less on different people, but once someone leaves the radius they return to their normal state.

Skills: He is a skilled swordsman and has developed underground connections which allow him to pull favors. (Provided he has the money)

Background: The vagabond was originally a simple, Low-class citizen who only wished to live his life in relative peace, a small town named Mercuia. He was married, owned a profitable ranch, and he was happy with his life. Until one day, his life of simplicity was shattered when a relic user ransacked Mercuia, killing his family and leaving the town a graveyard. He eventually tracked down and murdered the man who killed his family, but the man was high in society, and he had to abandon his name and life, taking on the mantle of the "Starry Vagabond", and he now lives, always on the run, his motive Clear: Never let it happen again, no matter what it takes. At least, that's what they say.

Appearance: He wears a black cloak, covering his head down to his ankles. He has large, brown boots, and he has light cloth layed over chain-mail armor, the shirt reaching a bit below his waist. There are belts and straps across his body, one of which locking onto his Sheath. He has Strips of cloth wrapped around his mouth to cover half his face, and his hood is often worn down. Anyone who has looked him in the eye would tell you "They looked like stars"

Motivation: The Vagabond wishes to prevent destruction caused by the relics, and he will do whatever it takes to do so: Whether it means storing the Relic away, or, (If possible) Destroying it. If he had his way, no one would wield a relic.

@No Bite, accepted as is. If you want to expand on it later, that's great. The song really catche 'starry' and 'vagabond' by the way.

I presume he wraps his obviously mystical staff in cloth as well, right?

@chukkle, sounds good to me.

I think I'll edit some things on it as we go, but this is it for now.

Name: The Hunter as he's called by the locals, also The Recluse (or Marcus as some know him)
Age: 22
Gender: Male

Relic Description: A small but beautifully crafted knife, named Sang Min. It's an antique heirloom, passed down from father to son as long as anyone could remember. Despite its age, it looks recently forged and Marcus treats it with utmost respect.
It possesses the power to give its wielder instant fighting abilities, but only as long as the wielder holds the knife in his hands. It also has some unknown other powers that Marcus has only heard of in stories, passed down along with the knife.

Skills: Marcus has been trained by his father to be an average skilled archer and swordsman, as he would become his successor. He's good with animals. Also, he can build a makeshift shelter, repairs and makes his own clothes and is skilled in skinning animals and foraging in foresty areas. Lastly, he's able to read, write and he speaks various languages fluently although years of little practice have left these skills rather rusty.

Background: Marcus was the only heir to a rather high nobleman (Saeng) in Da-Hyun, a country of Isles to the east. He grew up in wealth and was taught various skills, living in the blessed unawareness of his father's intrigues at court. That all came to an end when Marcus was fifteen years old. His father was brutally murdered with Sang Min and since Marcus was the only heir and thus the only one allowed to touch the blade besides his father, the finger of blame soon pointed his way. Marcus barely managed to escape Da-Hyun with his life and Sang Ming. After that, he has lived his life as an exile, learning how to hunt and mostly avoiding human settlements as he travelled from Kingdom to Kingdom. During his rare encounters with other people, he prefers to study others over talking. He never talks about his past (which has more to it than what I'm writing here) and he has survived up until this point by himself in the wilds near Amaryth. He currently makes his living by hunting and selling the hides to the locals, sometimes crossing the King's grounds and risking being caught. However, up untill this point it seems like the king has enough game not to take any notice.
Some rumors about Da-Hyunin diplomats visiting the capitol however, have made Marcus find his way from the wilds to the capital.

Appearance:
Marcus tends to hide himself in his cloths, wearing a scarf covering the bottom half of his face when he goes out to human inhabited areas. When he's out hunting, he usually leaves his scarf, cloak and shoes behind.

Motivation: Marcus has still half-heartily set his mind on finding out what has really happened the day his father was killed, but after all these years he's mainly focused on surviving.

@AlidaMaria, accepted. The powers of each item is determined by the wielder's nature, in case you hadn't taken notice of that in the OP. So unless he is distinctly similar to the last people to wield it, the legendary powers spoken of might not come to be. Good story though.

Rofl yeah agreed on that, but I decided to only handle one character for once. And well, Marcus can act a little feminine sometimes. How about you start off by making one yourself? :p

Sparks: Roger that!

I have enough estrogen for all of us, don't worry.

Edit: Doubling is fine, unless you can't handle it. Then pick one and watch as I euthanize the other, knowing it was all your fault. Choose wisely.
